the year is 2401 and humanity is on the verge of going extinct thanks to a savage alien-like race of creatures commonly known as "Timesplitters". Nobody knows where they came from and why they are trying to wipe us out, all humanity knows is that they are going to die if they don't do something about them.
The Timesplitters has waged a logn bloody war against the humans and they are so close to their victory. Earth is nothing but a barren wasteland, ravaged by the chaos theses timesplitters created, Humanity's last line of defense is their "Spacetime Marines" who are seasoned warriors trained to take on the Splitter threat.
Humanity however has probably discovered their possible salvation, on Planet X a team of scouts discover a ancient machine possibly created by the planet's former residents, the Mox, due to the machine's console being in Moxian. This device was then relocated to one of Humanity's last space stations for further testing and research, its dicovered also that this machine is powered by a certain crystal that has appeared over the years in humanity's history oddly. This were simply dubbed "time crystals", and if the humans can somehow find one they might be able to use the time machine and snuff out the splintters and end the war before it ever begins.
Sadly the device they thought would save them is proving to be their doom. Almost as soon as they learn this information the Splitters invade the station and slaughter everyone in it without mercy; But the weird part is that remote surveillance of the station shows that the timesplitters are in possession of nine of theses time crystals and somehow know how to operate the machine.
Humanity knows the grave danger they are in with the Timesplitters taking control and powering up this Time machine, they could go back and snuff humanity out in its earliest of days in a second. They have to send their very best in order to reclaim the time crystals. the Station is infested with Splitters and they can't spare enough men to clear out, this is a one shot op and the crystals are their top priority, the remaining scientists of earth have been constructed their own Time machine based off what they learned about the Mox time machine
The two soldiers they sent failed horribly, could not even escape. Humanity's morale plummets and they almost lose all hope, they sent their very best and they were defeated. As a last ditch effort humanity abannonded Earth by using one last battleship under their control, their plan was to retreat and hide from timesplitters, Many brave men amd women volunteered to stay behind and buy them enough time to evacuate, and the rest of the human population ws abaord that ship.
They retreat to a planet the splitters already cleared off life, Planet X. they had a old hidden base planted there years ago that acted as a fall back point should it ever come to something so critical. Oddly enough however the Splitters have the ability to go back and kill us from the past..Yet they have yet to do it, playing with them before killing them.
Regardless the spacetime marines make one last effort to recover the crystals. Sgt.Cortez was the commander of one of the most elite battlions in the Spacetime marines. a 6 man squad will be constructed out of the very best and sent to that station to take it back. Theres no way Humanity could engage in open warfare again, if they were kept on defense they would had been wiped out regardless.
The odds are more likely in their favors if they try to get the crystals and turn this around, one team could get the crystals, bring them back to Planet X to power up the human crafted time Machine and end the war then, saving humanity.
