The answer is false.


The human mind may seem so strong and powerful, but in reality it's such a square—programmed to act the same way every brain does. No one will even bother to expand their minds in the slightest, those who do are instantly shut down.


In the future, a group of scientists discovered that brains are capable of so much more.


So. Much. More.


They put their blood, sweat and tears in to decades of research to enable themselves to know everything they can about the human mind to strengthen their own. They knew they couldn't live forever, so they wold place their brains in to a robot that could. A scientist was no longer an occupation, but a metal species. No one intended them to go out of control.


Eventually, the scientists began The Drawing, where every week they would pull a random person from the world, and sacrifice them for further studies. War broke out, but the scientists had far too much knowledge about anything and everything to lose, so the humans were forced to surrender.


Or so they thought.


A group of the most powerful minds gathered together and formed The Time Clan, a group that used new scientific discoveries to go back and fix the timelines that went wrong to prevent scientists from getting too much power. But if the scientists found out, they'd most likely eliminate the human race as is.


So where do you fall? Are you a commoner seeking survival, a robot seeking more knowledge, or a member of a clan seeking justice?


THE RUN DOWN


Basically, robots have enslaved the world and its the apocalypse. Innocent people are being murdered for scientific studies, and we're all just fighting for survival. A group of the most powerful minds left in the world formed The Time Clan in order to go back in time and set things right.


SETTING

The city is in ruins. If you don't live in an apartment or on the streets, you're probably very wealthy. The air is always dirty, and stores are now abandoned. If you want supplies, you barter for them. If you want food, you have to walk/ride a horse to Yuleytes, a small town that all the food is delivered to. There are no cars.


CHARACTERS


While you are supposed to make original characters, there are also characters who are meant to be filled in. These are scientists that are now robots that the Time Clan will have to kill/defeat. More will probably be added throughout the span of the RP.

Personality: Samuel is a good actor. No-one knows what his real personality is. Sometimes he acts as if he is a chivalrous gentleman, other times, like a rude, egotistical bad guy. But in truth, he is broken. He is never allowed to be himself and always stays in character. In reality he is kind, intelligent, if not a little sarcastic but it is very rare that he gets to share this side of himself. He tries not to care for anyone in particular but instead looks at humanity as a whole and his one true goal in life is to save them. And that is his problem, he can't save them all.


History (Optional): Samuel was recruited at a very young age. He showed a lot of promise both intellectually and physically. For his entire life, he has trained in combat, both weapon and combat and has a lot of extensive training in history. His special talent is to Act and so is part of the special division within the Time Clan, The Undercover department. He goes where and when he needs to and stays as long as he has to to get the job done. He has used his connections on the street throughout the ages to take down one scientist and thats why he has been sent to the streets again, to befriend the right people, get the right information and take down the evil that has swept across the world.





Weapon:

This is Samuel's hand made weapon collected from different materials on the black market. Nothing on the gun is electrical or metal, so cannot be detected by the robots. He designed it careful so that it can be hidden, can be used as a melee weapon and shoots a combination of acid that erodes metals or plastics and a toxic gas that can incapacitate a human if shot in their face.

This is Samuels knife 'Mako'. It is beautifully crafted and is covered in a pattern that disguises it's real use and makes it look like a decorative item The lines in the pattern throw off the robots recognition system and they do not see it as a knife. He keeps it hidden in his belt, under his shirt.

Personality: Gwen is an observant girl who often comes across as timid, seeing as she doesn't say much to those that she does not trust. While not physically strong, she is agile, sneaky, and and resourceful. Around people she trusts, she is relatively happy and kind, and very much the medic/caregiver of any group she is with. She often bottles up her negative feelings, not wishing to show anymore weakness than what she naturally displays.


History: Both her parents were sacrificed for the "sake" of science just a month ago (A month before the rp, let's say), leaving Gwen alone without close family. The majority of any food she receives is willfully given to a few children that run around the destroyed city.


Weapon: A Swiss Army knife and a revolver.
