Hello friends!
I have tried to get this plot off the ground several times, and I think I know how to make it work...
So, to set the scene...
It is the 1980s, and you are a University student in Manchester. What your background, hobbies, personality and prospects are, are best known to you. But whoever you are, you are living a reasonably normal life (as normal as life can be in the era of Thatcher, AIDS, miners' strikes, shoulder-pads and The Smiths).
But then a friend- more like a friend-of-a-friend, someone you don't actually know or like that much- turns up on your doorway. And they have this girl with them. And they say she's lost and you've got to help her. Against your better judgement you get sucked in, and this strange girl- who's around 16 and dressed like... like she goes to some crazy religious school or like something from Dickens or something- ends up staying at your place. She really does seem to be in trouble, and from the time you meet her your life starts to get weirder...
Looking for
Long-term RP over PM, an engaging and imaginative RP partner who knows how to keep a plot going and cooks up interesting characters. As the story progresses we can double and triple and so on, and as there is a time travel element you could, if you want to, introduce time travelling characters and characters from different time periods... There's lots of scope for creativity, I hope!
I will start playing this mystery girl and your annoying acquaintance, your initial character can be whatever gender, orientation and personality you like- so longs as they are a relatively period-appropriate Mancurian student with a generous streak.
