—greystone
greystone doesn’t exist in any specific time or place. it’s just a creepy, but well kept mansion on a large estate. everybody has their own room and bathroom, but outside of that everywhere else in communal. the mansion itself includes:
-grand entranceway
-several sitting rooms
-a ballroom
-a breakfast nook
-a dining room
-kitchen
-music room
-conservatory
-attic
-basement
-gallery
-study
-amongst other miscellaneous rooms.
the grounds are sprawling and feel never ending. that’s because it is infinite. if you walk in one direction for too long, you’ll eventually just end where you started. almost like it is one big loop. the grounds include:
-several gardens
-greenhouses
-a pool
-(empty) stables/carriage house
-a lake
-outdoor tea room
-orchard
—the dead
they do not have to eat, sleep, use the bathroom, though they may if they chose to. in fact, many eat and drink purely out of habit or just for pleasure. they do have a connection to the living world. they can see what is going on in the living world. this is available via a specific television channel or on their computer. it is not recommended because the point of greystone is to move on. if they feel that someone is dwelling too much on this, their privilege for this will be restricted or even taken away. however, access to current events in the living world is never restricted. the dead also cannot be hurt and they do not appear to be hurt, ill, etc. even if they did die that way. though they are dead, they can change in their appearance as if they were still alive. hair continues to grow, allowing them to cut and color their hair as they please. they wardrobe is unlimited as well. they are not frozen in their time period, unless they wanted to be. which, many do stick to because it is what they know.
