Help Thread character limit?

Is there a character limit to a thread?
I wish to write a short story, and haven't an idea as to what (if any) the character limit may be.

As far as I'm aware there isn't, but might be worth testing before hand! (Or write the story in document of some sort before pasting it here to limit any potential mishaps.)
