Those Pesky Treasures

Been having some headaches trying to figure out the Ring Graced Artifacts known as Treasures in GWM p.138. By the way it has been written, it could easily be mistaken to have two meaning:

1) You have to purchase Treasures as either shaping weapons or non-shaping weapons individually, or...

2) The Treasures are shaping weapons that can be utilized in Creation, with both traits in effect.

Now, the rules aren't exactly clear on which is correct and I'd like to get some ideas on how to decide the best course for the story I'm about to begin. I have an idea but would like to get some input before making the final call.

Cheers,

You already know my thought on it Forn, but for everyone else I feel it could be one of two things.

1. It could be designed as a creation specific artifact that only has creation stats.

2. It can be a shaping weapon and has those stats, but if you use one of the Evocation charms from the Assumption trees you can bring it into creation where it has different stats.

The reason I feel the second is a possibility is because both Resonant Chorus Bow and Hundred Color Shaping Lens each have shaping stats and evocative creation stats.

I am unsure and I'll be lazy and look later, is there not a series of Staff Charms that redefine a Treasure/Behemoth? (ie shaping weapon to creation based weapon)

In either case I assumed the option 2 with the use of an Evocation charm was the way things were done. nod nod.

it was my understanding that evocation simply altered the outward elements of the treasure, but the core mechanics remained the same. At least that was how it was in first edition, but a lot got altered in second.
