Adley is a mischievous guy who doesn't ever give up on things he wants, no matter how many people push him off walls. He considers himself very smart, clever, and dare he say witty. Adley does what he wants most of the time. However, he has a bad habit of ditching people along the way. The lawyer has an insatiable wanderlust that doesn't always bode well for himself or those around him. Adley seeks knowledge about things when they are brought to his attention, but at the same time may get bored of them.
Adley can easily be called obsessive when it comes to anything, especially Erika. He dedicates himself fully or not at all. When it comes to an argument or case he is ruthless and doesn't really care about overall morals. He takes pride in his job and skills, and he reacts terribly to insults. Adley loves challenges and the thrill that comes with them, but he typically avoids anything that may put him in danger of his fears excluding getting caught.
Backstory:
Adley was born a street rat of Hell City, though he doesn't really bring that up much. He normally dealt with the area the Furudo's lived in. While Adley wasn't stupid enough to try to rob the family, at the age of eleven he did want to see what it like to live as they did, and he wanted to see if he could get any tips. Due to this, he tried to climb the wall surrounding the house one day. Before he could drop down the other side of the thing, Erika saw him. Adley freaked at this a climbed down the wall as quickly as possible.
This happened a few times as Adley wouldn't let the issue rest until his curiosity was satisfied. Eventually he became bold enough to talk to Erika, however he annoyed her and tended to insult her. as certain points in time, she would even push him off the wall herself. On the other hand, Adley began to see her as a companion and even sort of friend. He kept showing up at her house at random intervals over the course of two years. While he wasn't present for Erika's suicide, he heard news of it and climbed the house one more time just to see if it was true.
After that, Adley left that part of the city and tried to move on with his life. He couldn't forget Erika, but that didn't stop him from doing what he wanted. While he didn't join any gangs due to his age, Aldey did meet some of the more prominent people such as Bismarck Saedor (both of which terrify him). During this time on the streets as a child, he was severely injured multiple times because of foolish actions or being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Adley has a few allies who have helped him get medical treatment, which just so happened to involve cybernetics. He didn't get these modifications all at once; it took him years to become as augmented as he is.
To help prevent anymore injuries, Adley picked up some "life skills" on the streets, enough to get him enrolled in school. He continued on doing quite well, enough so that if he weren't from Hell City he would have scholarships lining up.
Out of boredom and just to see if he could, Adley managed to forge a birth certificate for the next town over and bluff his way into college. He spent four good years there before he got caught. He has only just recently returned to Hell City with a nearly complete law degree and thirst for chaos. Adley returned contact with Bismark and is now part of Llyria Harp, although this isn't common knowledge. Due to this allegiance, he knows about what happened to Erika and has technically tried to instigate contact with her. He has also gotten a job at a law firm where he is very successful and well paid.
Gear/Weapons:
Glock 9mm (Always on him)
Mossberg
Whatever he happens to connect to his circuits at the time.
Strengths:
Adaptable
Smart
Ruthless
Cyborg
Weaknesses:
Proud
Obsesive
Distractable
No Formal Combat Training
Fighting Style:
A very rough style that relies on underhand move and his cyborg strength. He isn't a prodigy with a gun, but his aim isn't half bad. Honestly, Adley relies more on his words in a confrontation, but he can hold his own long enough to escape rough spots when needed.
Skills:
Talented Debater
Good People Skills
Forgery
Mechanical Understanding
Achievements/Crimes Committed:
Uncountable Cases of Petty Theft
Forgery
52 Cases of Trespassing
87 Court Cases Won
Relationships With Other Characters:
Bismarck Saedor- Adley looks up to Bismarck and has a healthy, though somewhat irrational fear of the man. Bismarck is one of those people that hasn't ever really been terrible to Adley, so Adley is prone to putting his trust in the elder man.
Frederika Bernkastel- Adley has had a few very brief and minor encounters with Bern, however quite a few of his cases have related to her gang in some way. This added to Bern and Erika's problems have led to a distaste of the woman that turned to fear when he realized just how much power Bern held.
Erika Furudo- Adley is somewhat in love with Erika. She was one of the few people he considered kind of friendly as a kid, and her death was what brought the realization of how terrible Hell City could be to him. He and Erika fight a lot and have a bit of a rivalry going on, especially when they are on opposite sides of a case. Contrarily, Adley does care for Erika and would sacrifice things for her if it ever came down to it.
