My Idea For A Roleplay:
It is exactly 953 years in the future and the entire Solar System has been colonized. I mean the entire solar system: Mercury; Venus; Earth, under and above water, Earth's moon Luna; Mars, Mars's moons Phobos (where the rebels live) and Deimos; Ceres, the core of Jupiter and all of its moons; Saturn and all its moons; and Uranus and all of its moons; Neptune and all of its moons; Pluto and his entourage Charon, Nix, Hydra, Kerberos, and Styx; Haumea, moons Namaka and Hi'aka; Makemake; Eris and its moon Dysnomia.
Unfortunately, we didn't learn our lesson when we overpopulated Earth and moved out (for the first time) to Luna...'cause we overpopulated the entire solar system.
And now, we've moved some people out again: forcing them to scout the uncharted planet Kyros in a new solar system about fifteen light years away. (Note: Due to travel; we have discovered a way to travel a light year in 4 months and 25 days; meaning if they stayed half a year, they'd be back 12 years, 6 months, and 20 days, plus another 4 months for delays- not exactly a huge wait.)
That was fifteen years ago. No one ever came back from Kyros...that is, until yesterday. The explorers are back-- but they're enslaved by an entire armada of extremely belligerent, angry aliens that do not appreciate their solar system being messed with.
Surprise! There's other life-forms in this universe!
Surprise! We still need that planet.
This means war.
