The truth of this world...what could it mean?
- Hello, thanks for stopping by! I'm seeking a few specific fandoms at the moment with a few specific OCs in each universe I'd like to play. I love to double (please let our OCs be friends and they can rant together about their partners) and I am willing to do oc x canon, oc x oc, and canon x canon. At the moment, I'm mostly seeking oc x canon, at least for my side of the double, but I'm willing to do oc x canon, oc x oc, or canon x canon for your side of the doubling!

I may also ask for a writing sample; I will have included some of my own at the bottom of this thread. Without further ado, onto the part you're actually here for!
- I’m obsessed with this game! I have several ideas I can throw at ya depending on which oc I end up using and I’m always open to brainstorming! I would like you to play Lyney (craving), Wriothesley (craving), Xiao, Diluc, or Childe. I can play anyone except Xiao, Ayato, Diluc, Lyney, Wriothesley, or Scaramouche for you! Also, have some OC blurbs!
- Dancing Sakura’s Wish: Tsuyujimo Ryuuketsu
- A cryo polearm user from Inazuma. Ryuu is a sky kitsune, one who's been around for well over a millennia. The cousin of the Kitsune Saiguu, she was a close friend to Ei and Makoto. Ryuu gave her skills as a warrior to the Shogunate army, though refused to take any official title. She loves observing humans and forming connections with them. After the cataclysm, grieving the loss of her friends and her cousin, she locked herself away in a stone statue like so many others of her kind. Recently, however, because of the disturbances in the Inazuman ley lines, Ryuu has been awoken from her slumber after 500 years. Canonly, she's paired with Xiao, ending up in Liyue after fleeing the Vision Hunt Decree and an Inazuma she no longer understands. OC-wise, toss your OC at me! She's bi without a preference and I can find a way to toss her into any region.
- The Clockwork Heart: Natalya Snezhevna
- An anemo bow user originally from Snezhnaya but has been a wanderer the past few years. Orphaned at the age of 9 after her parents died in an avalanche, Natalya found herself taken into the House of the Hearth, where she was extensively trained to join the ranks of the Fatui as both a combat medic and a stealth agent. However, when she was 15, she was stolen away by Dottore, who used her for his experiments as he studied ruin machines. Ultimately, Natalya was left partially automan, with her heart merged with a ruin guard’s eye, a stronger bodily constitution, and enhanced strength. When she was 18, she managed to escape from The Doctor, fleeing Snezhnaya and becoming a nomad, wandering around Teyvat, but never staying in one place for too long for fear of being discovered and taken back to Dottore. Canon-wise, she pairs with Wriothesley, Childe (hella enemies to lovers vibes) or Diluc. OC-wise, also bi with no preference, and I can toss her into Mondstadt, Inazuma, Sumeru, Fontaine, or Liyue with ease!
- The Tainted Siren's Song: Étiennette Chevalier
- A hydro bow user and famous violinist from a family line of musicians known for their musical talent in Fontaine. Her parents lost their lives in a shipwreck while traveling to Liyue to perform and her elder sister was one of the many victims of Vacher. After losing her family, Étiennette began participating in philanthropic work revolving around sea rescue. As a high-profile, well-off person, she came into contact with many other people of similar standing. Many of these people, Étiennette found, cared only for their fortunes even at the cost of the welfare of others. Unable to stand idly by watching this, Étiennette took up the mantle of a thief in the night, stealing from pompous nobility to return their wealth to the commonfolk. As a thief, she is known as The Siren, for she has discovered a magic to lull people to sleep with her voice. Canonly, she pairs with Lyney. In OC pairings, she's bi, but with a preference for masculinity. I can probably toss her around a few regions if needed, but would prefer she stay in Fontaine.
- One of my all-time favorite anime, I love this show and the OCs I've made for this universe. I would like you to play Hawks or Aizawa for me. And in return, I can play anyone except Hawks, Endeavor, Mineta, or Overhaul for you! I have a lot of ideas for plots depending on which OC you want to play with and I have a plethora of villains I've created that we can throw at our characters in a story. I can work with established heroes, vigilantes, students, or aged-up hero versions of the main cast! Also, here's some blurbs of my OCs!
- Hakkotsu "Kanna" Tsukanna
- Essentially a Commission-sanctioned vigilante under the moniker Gravestone, Kanna is a shadow in the night carrying out all the dirty dealings the Commission needs done that don't technically fall on the side of legal. Her quirk is Skeletal, which allows her full control over all the properties of all the bones in her body, i.e. controlling their density, size, weight, regeneration time, degeneration time, etc. Raised by a fanatic named Ayatsuru with Stain-like views, Kanna spent her childhood being raised as a soldier alongside another kid, a boy named Kagerou. When she was 11, Kanna snapped and fled, but was unable to convince Kagerou to come with her and ultimately left him behind. She was found wandering alone by Yagi Toshinori and was eventually taken in by him. When she was 16, her connection to Toshinori led the Commission's gaze to her and, despite never going to a formal hero school, was roped into assisting them with an undercover mission. She excelled and was recruited into the Commission for their work. Kanna was never given proper hero schooling or given a hero license. She functions entirely outside of the law, knowing that if her work is discovered the Commission will immediately disown her and allow her to take the fall for them. Few people outside of the Commission and Toshinori know of Kanna's existence. Canonly, she pairs with Hawks. OC-wise, she's a chaotic bi who flirts with everything. Make your OC a hero, villain, vigilante, whatever, Kanna works with them all!
- Adamaris "Mar" Aguilar
-
Please only ask about Mar if you have minimal to no triggers; they had a very rough history and while nothing is explicitly written out, she still suffers from trauma from these events so they will be mentioned. I also expect them to be handled respectfully.
A quirkless vigilante with Iron Man vibes and a chaotic neutral she/they (I switch pronouns pretty frequently when referring to Mar, just to let you know). Half-Colombian and half-Japanese, Mar works at a mechanic shop by day and runs as a nameless vigilante at night. She's only been in Japan for a few years after having previously escaped their former life as a trapeze artist in a world-renowned traveling circus. Jaded and world-weary, they see heroics as a scam used by people who only want to get rich and famous, thus leading to her becoming a vigilante to deal with the criminals who slip through the cracks. Mar is incredibly skilled with machines and makes all of their own gear, which also means she isn't leaving a trail of buying things for people to follow. Canon-wise, they pair with Aizawa, please let them both parent the 1A kids together it would be so cute. OC-wise, Mar is pan without a preference. Like with Kanna, your OC can be a hero, villain, vigilante, or whatever!
- This is one of my oldest fandoms and it holds a special place in my heart. I love the world and the characters in it to no end. The only shows I have not seen are She-Hulk, Loki season 2, or the new Marvels movie. I hope to catch up soon though! I am looking for someone to play Matt Murdock, Steven Grant/Marc Spector, or Bucky Barnes in these pairings. Ask for anyone except Loki, Daredevil, or Moonknight for you in return! These are the OCs I'm looking to use at the moment as well:
- Reverie Kaelin
- A highly prolific information broker in Hell's Kitchen (or New York in general) who goes by the moniker of Nightmare. Completely human and without any special abilities, Reverie has built an empire of information for herself. She'll sell any information to anyone for the right price, all in an effort to give her 16-year-old brother the life he deserves after their parents died. She doubles as a bartender and singer at a very popular bar called the Black Eyes, where she also makes her base for her information brokering. General ideas to work with her include Reverie finding out some new information that gets her in over her head and puts a target on her back, forcing her to rely on someone else for protection for her and her brother? She's really flexible though. Reverie pairs with Matt or Bucky.
- Khaalida Seong
- A severely schizophrenic mortician and medical examiner who lives in London, England. Following the collapse of the temple at the end of Moonknight's season one, I imagine that several of the gods who had been locked away in stone statues were released as their statues broke. One such god was Anubis, who found Khaalida and forged a pact with her so she would become his new Avatar. Unfortunately for Anubis, Khaalida only thinks he's an annoying hallucination. At least until Marc/Steven stumble into her life and they can also see the strange, jackal-headed man that's been hanging around her. No set plot here but I think there's a lot we could do depending on who you want me to play for you! I also have a couple of ideas about how to deal with Marc and Layla's relationship and keep Khonshu around in a way that Marc/Steven still function as Moonknight.
- And last but not least, here are my writing samples! Below I've included some samples of me playing some canon characters. Kudos if you've made it to the end of this thread! If you think you'd like to write with me, great! I can't wait to hear from you all. Be sure to drop me a PM (do not comment on the thread) and I look forward to the wonderful stories we'll write!
- Chaos Lies in Us All - Marvel, Shang-Chi
-
“I’m telling you Shaun, something about this date doesn’t feel right!” Katy’s voice called from where she was sprawled across Shaun’s bed. He poked his head out of the bathroom, where he was trying to fix his hair in some way that he liked, shooting a glare at the black-haired woman. She was holding his phone, obviously still looking at the profile of the woman he was about to go out on a date with in thirty minutes. “I think it’s the yoga pants. I don’t trust people in yoga pants. They always turn out to be bitches.”
“That’s a terrible reason not to trust someone,” Shaun rolled his eyes, running his fingers through his hair for what felt like the fiftieth time. “She seemed really fun when we were chatting on the app. Nothing suspicious at all. And definitely not a bitch.”
“Well of course, it’s not going to show immediately,” Katy chastised him. “These people are sneaky! They reel you in first and then, once you’re hooked, that’s when you’re in trouble.” Shaun snorted, shaking his head in disbelief. He was half convinced Katy was only saying these things because he’d made a snide comment about the guy she went on a date with last week. Before he could make an attempt to counteract her, however, she was jumping down his throat with something else. “Wait, wait, I have another point!” Katy proclaimed. “She claims to be a foodie, but she’s so fit! No foodie has a body this hot. Just look at her arms. She looks like she could bench me. She’s definitely lying about being a foodie. You want to go on a date with a liar, Shaun?”
“You ever think that maybe she’s fit from the yoga she does?” he retorted, finally giving up on his hair and just pushing it back, running his comb through it a few times to ensure that it stayed in place. “If she works out enough she probably loses all the calories she would otherwise gain from being a foodie. It’s not that hard to assume that’s what happens.”
“Nope, I stand by my point. No foodie is this hot.” Shaun finally broke into a smile, chuckling to himself as he walked out of the bathroom, snatching his phone from Katy’s hands as he walked past her. “Hey! I was still finding reasons why you shouldn’t be going out with this lady!’
“And I’m ignoring all your reasons and going out with her anyway,” he replied. “I need to leave if I’m going to get to the restaurant in time.” Shoving his phone into his back pocket, Shaun grabbed his wallet and apartment keys off the dresser and slid those into his pocket as well. He was pretty sure he had everything that he was going to need, but his hands dragged briefly over his pockets as he mentally ran through everything he could feel. Yep, he was all set for the night. Stepping back, he spread his arms and spun around once as Katy rolled onto her side and propped herself up on her elbow. “Well? How do I look?”
“Terrible,” Katy said instantly, but she was failing miserably at hiding a grin, which Shaun took to mean that he looked perfectly fine.
“Wonderful input,” he drawled, dropping his arms and moving to usher Katy off the bed. “Now, you’re going home, right? No following me onto this date? Lian seems really nice. I don’t want you scaring her off with your weird yoga pants superstition.”
“It’s not weird if it’s true!” Katy argued, hopping on one foot as Shaun pushed her toward the door and she struggled to put her shoes on. “But no, I won’t follow you. Don’t call me to get you out of the date when it goes south though. I will not be helping you since you refuse to listen to anything I have to say.”
“Noted,” Shaun replied dryly as he shut the apartment door behind him. After checking to make sure it was locked, he gave Katy a two-fingered salute before making his way off down the hallway. “Give Waipo a hug for me when you get back!” he called to her, causing Katy to wave her hand in acknowledgment. Satisfied, Shaun turned around and hurried down the stairs, making his way out the apartment complex and onto the streets of San Francisco.
The early evening autumn air had a bite to it as he shoved his hands in his pockets, hurriedly making his way toward the bus stop on the corner. He probably could have dressed a little more warmly, but Shaun had opted more for style than practicality. He wanted to make a good first impression on Lian, after all. He’d been looking forward to this date since they had set it up a few days ago and he’d been talking to Lian for a little over a week. She was sweet and funny and incredibly easy to hold a conversation with. Truthfully, she’d had him hooked from the first few exchanges they’d shared over Tinder.
Plus, he was also trying to do as he’d been told and keep on living as a normal a life as he could until he was needed for something. That was what Wong had told him to do, at least. It still boggled Shaun’s mind that he’d been summoned by the Sorcerer Supreme a few months ago and had a digital conference with the likes of Dr. Bruce Banner and Captain Marvel. He never would have thought that his father’s Rings would lead to something like that.
Ever since he and Katy had taken down his father and the Dweller-in-Darkness, Shaun had been on the alert for other weird things happening in the world since, as Captain Marvel had put it, he’d been ‘welcomed to the circus’ now. Shaun carried the Ten Rings with him whenever he went out – it seemed stupid to leave such powerful weapons just sitting in his barely-protected apartment – but he hadn’t had a reason to use them yet. Still, even now, he had the Rings on him. Shaun could feel them pulsing with energy against his forearms, warming his skin. They were skillfully hidden by a long-sleeved shirt and jacket, however, giving no indication to the powerful weapons thrumming on his arms.
Wong had told him after their meeting that he and Katy should continue on with their lives as usual. That was such a difficult thing to do knowing what was out there though, and knowing that he could potentially be summoned into some kind of battle at a moment’s notice. Katy had seemed to adjust back to normal very quickly, but then again, she wasn’t the one walking around with the Ten Rings. Shaun was doing his best though, keeping his usual low profile, sticking to his valet job, and setting up dating profiles to try and find ‘the one.’ Really, the only major difference that had happened from his life before acquiring the Ten Rings was that he was in contact with his sister now. They chatted over text a few times a week and Shaun was glad to know that Xialing was doing well.
He was broken out of his musing as the bus rolled to a stop at his station. Shaking his head, Shaun tried to push all those thoughts about the Ten Rings and working with sorcerers and saving the world and everything else to the back of his mind. He wanted to enjoy tonight with Lian and it was going to be difficult to do that if his head was occupied with other things. Things that he couldn’t even control, so there wasn’t any point in worrying about them.
If only it was that easy to actually stop worrying about them.
Hopping off the bus, Shaun walked the short distance from the bus stop to the Chinese restaurant that he and Lian had decided on going to tonight. It was a semi-popular place and one that Shaun had been to on many occasions before, which was why he had recommended it for the evening. Pulling out his phone, he checked the time. Ten minutes earlier than their agreed-upon meetup. It seemed for once the bus had actually been running on time tonight. Shrugging, Shaun slid his phone back in his pocket and leaned against the wall next to the door, eyes scanning the people walking by on the sidewalk while waiting for Lian. - Praying in a Godless Nation - Genshin, Arataki Itto
-
Despite Itto’s protests that he was more than capable of holding his own in a fight like this, Ryuuketsu was already taking off and freezing three of the lawlichurls in place. “Stop hoggin’ all the glory for yourself!” he shouted in annoyance as he faced off against the final lawlichurl, determined to defeat this one as quickly as possible so he could take out a second one before Ryuuketsu managed to take them all down somehow. A feral grin made its way across his face as he hefted Stonethresher over his shoulder with one hand, taunting the beast with the other. “Alright then, come on now, let’s see what you can do, ya big lug!” It didn’t matter to Itto that this lawlichurl had been enhanced in one way or another; it would still fall to his clubbing attacks like so many monsters he’d come across in the past. He was the best fighter there was, and he was going to show off those skills here and now.
“Arataki ‘Numero Uno’ Itto, coming through!” he cackled, geo energy condensing around Stonethresher and giving the claymore a far more club-like appearance. The lawlichurl roared at him as Itto sprinted forward, two-hand swinging his claymore in an uppercut at the monster. The blade caught on the stone armor, crunching through it with a sickening sound like bone snapping. A scream tore its way out of the lawlichurl’s jaw as it raised its fists before slamming them down on the ground, sending a shockwave through the earth. “Whoa, whoa, whoa, there!” Itto stumbled over the ground, somehow managing to keep his balance as he slammed the claymore into the lawlichurl’s side when it raised his hands again. “We don’t need to be doing that now! Punching wildly like that is gonna cause a damn earthquake or something!” Gripping his claymore more tightly, Itto swung it in a series of spinning uppercuts that flowed together like a single, fluid motion before he jumped up and plunged the claymore into the lawlichurl’s torso. It roared in pain, throwing a haphazard fist out at Itto, but the oni was too quick, withdrawing his claymore and holding it up to the side of his face to block the punch. His feet dug into the ground, creating deep indents in the dirt as he fought not to be thrown to the side. “Have to do better than that!” he snorted.
Itto was about to go on the offensive again to finish the lawlichurl, but before he could, a panicked cry for help reached his ears. Risking a look over his shoulder, Itto’s eyes widened as he saw a tall woman and a child sprinting for their lives away from another lawlichurl. Abandoning his current enemy, Itto sprinted toward them, his claymore fading out of existence for a moment as he rammed his fists together, the shape of a massive oni mask hovering faintly in the air behind him for a moment. He could feel a surge of strength rushing through his veins as he jumped up, easily clearing the redheaded woman’s height, and threw his bare fist into the lawlichurl’s face. The force of the punch cracked its armor, the skin on Itto’s hand splitting a little, crimson blood dripping down his fingers. He barely even noticed the pain, however, as he slammed a kick into the lawlichurl’s side as he came down, landing with surprising grace on his feet. “Hey, attacking kids isn’t cool!” he shouted at the lawlichurl as his claymore shimmered back into existence in his hand. “They don’t have the tools to defend themselves yet!” Geo energy glowed around his weapon once again as he attacked the lawlichurl with a vengeance, his hard-hitting strikes not even giving it a moment to breathe.
He was so engrossed with making sure that the woman and the kid stayed safe that Itto didn’t even realize that another combatant had joined the fray, this time on their side. He only faintly noticed the stronger gusts of wind, enough to make him lose his footing occasionally, but not enough to knock him off his rhythm completely. Wind, ice, and rock was a force to be reckoned with, and it felt to Itto like the battle had only just begun before it was over, the final body falling to the ground, and he was able to actually register the other person who stood among them now. He blinked in surprise at the short male as he removed his mask and muttered some depressing-sounding mumbo jumbo before stepping a short ways away and saying that he would keep guard for any more monsters. Ha! As if Itto needed protection from anyone.
The oni’s attention quickly returned to the woman and child though as Ryuuketsu wandered after the weird spear user. His gaze flickered over the pair of them, only snapping up to the woman’s face when she spoke of the Sakoku Decree. Itto huffed in annoyance as she insinuated that he would be fleeing from anywhere. “I didn’t escape anything!” he protested. “Coming here was a mistake. I didn’t mean to be on the boat when it left Inazuma! Ryuu’s the only one who wanted to leave.” He did need to find a way back to Inazuma. Who knew what was happening to his gang in his absence? But he had no idea when a boat would be leaving from Liyue to make the trip back to Inazuma. Travel to and from the island nation was nearly impossible.
When the woman mentioned scars, Itto glanced down at his figure. His hand was still oozing blood and there were a few cuts and scrapes across his exposed torso. Puffing out his chest in pride as she brought her hand to his face, Itto offered a valiant smirk. “No need to worry about me, this is nothing!” he boasted. “I’ve suffered through much worse before. Just a few cuts and bruises. Uh, but shouldn’t I be the one asking if you’re alright? After all, you two were the ones who were being chased by that thing. It didn’t manage to actually hurt you, did it?” Crouching down until he was more level with the child, Itto offered her a bright smile. She was cute, though weirdly expressionless as she clung to the woman’s hand. “That big scary monster didn’t hurt you, did it?” he asked, voice bright and slightly higher pitched than normal. “It’s alright now, no need to worry now that Arataki Itto is on the scene to protect you!” The pair seemed fine as he glanced them over once more, no severe injuries to speak of. That was good. Standing back up, Itto did accept the rag from her though, dabbing at the blood that was leaking down his abs. His jaw clenched a little at the stinging sensation, but otherwise, he gave no reaction.
As he was cleaning his cuts, the woman finally introduced herself and the child: Nali and Qiqi. “Ah, wait!” Itto said as Nali started to turn away. “Ryuu and I just got here to the harbor today. We have no clue where Bubu Pharmacy is. Er, where anything is. We have no clue where we’re going or what we’re doing.” - The World is Merciless but Beautiful - AOT, Erwim Smith

Gothic Supernatural AU
Some amusement flickered across Erwin’s features over the way Lorenz so steadily stayed several paces behind him. He wasn’t entirely surprised; Erwin was well aware of the effect that he had on most of the soldiers. It was an image that he had worked hard to build up and one that he worked hard to maintain: Discerning and intelligent, commanding respect at every turn who preached how much the work they did benefited all of humanity. When people viewed him with the awe they did, it was much easier to convince them to ride into battle against unimaginably strong forces, in fights where a single wrong move could end their life. Erwin had built himself into someone that his soldiers would never question and would jump willingly into the jaws of death on his order. Which tended to make them feel as if they often couldn’t approach him for fear of seeming disrespectful. It never bothered him though. If Erwin ever found his ego beginning to inflate too much, Levi was usually there with a swift and snarky comment to bring it back down and Hange’s overeager enthusiasticness caused them to see him as nothing more than just another person. It was refreshing.
When Lorenz nearly cursed before catching and correcting himself, amusement danced in Erwin’s eyes, the barest hint of a smirk tugging at his lips. “Do not feel the need to censor yourself, Lorenz,” he said idly, not even glancing back over his shoulder at the soldier, pale gaze instead fixed on sweeping in front of him, searching through the carnage for something useful. “I’m hardly unused to that manner of speech. Surely, you’ve heard Levi.” The shorter man had always had little regard for other people when he cursed and he was usually anything but traditionally respectful. But it was that spark that had drawn Erwin into picking Levi up off the streets in the first place.
His expression quickly shifted back to one of seriousness though as the piles of corpses just continued onward. “It is strange,” Erwin conceded gravely. “These people don’t even look fed on. None of the blood has been drained from their bodies. That means what vampires were here didn’t feed. And it appears that anything that was eaten happened after the massacre from scavengers.” Erwin had noticed several corpses with bite marks in their necks, and yet none of them had been blood-drained. That meant the biting had only been specifically to kill. A few bodies, namely ones that had been much more torn apart, had tufts of fur around them, indicating that werewolf scavengers had been through. Erwin was inclined to believe, however, that the werewolves had not participated in the attack, but had merely come after and seen a free, easy meal with all the bodies.
Pausing in his step, Erwin turned back around to face Lorenz as the man finally approached him with offerings of what he had found. Out of the corner of his eye, he’d seen Lorenz pick up what had looked like a knife dyed black. Lorenz didn’t show the knife at first though, only presenting him with a sigil – that was an almost certain confirmation of vampires, as they were one of the only supernatural groups that cared enough about their noble lines to have such a thing – and the werewolf tooth. As Lorenz spoke, Erwin found his gaze wandering to the sky. The sun was firmly on its descent now, its rays barely making it past the tops of the houses. If werewolves had been coming here to scavenge, as night drew closer, they were going to need to be much more careful.
Erwin’s gaze dropped back to Lorenz. “Be sure to give the sigil to Hange when we meet back up again,” he said. “They’ll figure out which Clan it belongs to. That will certainly be helpful in narrowing down who our perpetrators are.” It was going to be a lot of paperwork for Erwin though. When dealing with the vampiric Clans, the Keepers had to move more delicately than they did with rogue vampires. It was going to involve writing a letter of warning to the Clan head about keeping their followers in check and then, once these vampires had been slaughtered, Erwin would have to pen a letter explaining who had been killed and what their crimes were. It was such a hassle, but a necessary one to keep the more noble and powerful vampires appeased so they continued to mostly adhere to the treaty.
“I doubt the other villages will look anything like this,” he responded after a moment. “The Garrison workers should have already cleared those spaces out to hide the true nature of the massacre from humans. I had to request this village remain untouched.” It was why he needed them to find some answers here, because they weren’t going to be getting much to work with in the other villages.
“That knife you just picked up,” Erwin said suddenly, holding out his hand as he fixed Lorenz with his icy gaze. “Let me see it.” He waited for the soldier to hand it over, handling the blade gently as he looked it over. His brow furrowed as he studied it. Black blood was indicative of demons. But something didn’t feel right. Leaning forward, he carefully sniffed the hardened blood. For a moment, confusion flashed across his face.
“There’s more to what was happening here than a mere massacre,” he said as he lowered the knife. “That blood smells human, despite being black.” Erwin glanced around them, his gaze flicking around the streets as though the answer was going to come crawling out of thin air for them. An eerie feeling settled over his shoulders as alarm bells began ringing in the back of his mind.
This had clearly been a targeted attack from what he now believed were vampires. He’d been trying to figure out a reason for these vampires to target villages such as this without even feeding on the people once they were dead. It was wasteful to kill so much without taking anything from the bodies. Something in him was telling him that this strange black blood had something to do with it. What that might be, he didn’t know. Because black blood only belonged to demons. But aside from the color, this blood had nothing similar to demonic blood. It wasn’t thick and oozing, it didn’t smell of sulfur. It was far more similar to human blood. And that was more than a little concerning. Hange was going to need to look into this as soon as possible. - Beautiful Patterns - BNHA, Shinso Hitoshi

Hero!Shinso & Mentor Aizawa [platonic familial]
Padding after Aizawa, Hitoshi followed the older man out of the apartment and into the streets. The cool night air hit him all at once, a gust cutting through the otherwise warm fabric of his outfit. As they walked, Hitoshi adjusted his voice modulador so it was sitting over his mouth, clicking into place in preparation on the off chance it needed to be used. Ideally, it wouldn’t need to be, since they weren’t planning on getting into any fight, but it was always better to be prepared rather than being caught off guard. He would turn the device on when he got closer, but for now, the weight was a comfortable one around his jaw. He was so accustomed to the feeling of the modulator that also functioned as a mask that he felt naked in a sense without it when he was on the job or even just preparing to go out on patrol.
When Aizawa spoke up, Hitoshi glanced over at him, a small bit of a flush coming into his cheeks as his former mentor praised him. He was grateful then for the modulator and the cover of night likely hiding such a reaction even as he reached up to scratch the back of his neck awkwardly. Praise from Aizawa was rare, and something that Hitoshi greatly treasured when it was given to him. “I wouldn’t be where I am today without your guidance,” he said seriously. “I’ll never be able to thank you enough for the time and effort you put into training me even before I was an actual part of your class.” Hitoshi was very aware of the fact that his life probably would have taken on a much different path than the one he was on now if Aizawa hadn’t seen something in him that was worth working with. He flashed a grateful smile that was visible only through his eyes at his mentor before, slightly shyly, glancing back down at the ground again. Hitohsi doubted he would ever reach a stage of not being in awe of the man beside him.
They walked in comfortable silence the rest of the way toward the warehouse. As the pair got closer, they used their capture weapons to get up onto the roofs of the other nearby warehouses, footsteps light against the metal roofs as they easily bounded from building to building. Jumping across such distances between buildings had once caused Hitoshi’s heart to seize in a panic every time, but by now, he’d since become accustomed to the sensation of the wind flying through his hair as he bounded across the rooftops of the city. It was actually almost comforting, in a way, despite knowing that a single wrong movement, one misplaced throw of his scarf, and he’d find himself taking a long tumble down to the hard concrete ground below. Hitoshi couldn’t count the number of times he’d fallen when he was first practicing such acrobatic movements, and he’d shown up to school with more than his fair share of bruises from falling. But now, it was methodical and something he barely even had to think about, lean body never pausing or faltering for a moment. Though, he did still wonder how Aizawa managed to stay in such great shape enough to seemingly never lose his acrobatic talent even as he aged. Not that Hitoshi would ever comment on that.
Hitoshi and Aizawa had almost made it to the warehouse they were supposed to be investigating, when all of a sudden, a bright flare lit up the night sky. One that appeared directly near the warehouse that they were supposed to be going to. Hitoshi sent a panicked look Aizawa’s way. They were supposed to be doing stealth reconnaissance around the area, but it seemed as though someone else had already made it to the warehouse. Another underground hero? A rival villain gang? A vigilante? There were so many possibilities for who it could be. But Hitoshi knew that the flash bomb that had just been activated was going to draw the attention of everyone from this gang who was in the warehouse or around the area. Any hope of stealth he and Aizawa were hoping to achieve had just been effectively neutralized. This gang had been found, their nest sniffed out, and now they were going to know it. There was no way they were staying here for any longer.
