21 and OVER: Now RECRUITING!

~Henrietta~

After having possibly the worst day on earth in human history watching Jason's Vlog was absolutely the highlight to Henrietta's day. Henrietta had started off on the wrong side of the bed. She had woken up late and missed two of her morning classes one of which she had a test. Well I guess that'll be my lowest drop grade. After ordering a coffee at the colleges coffee shop that was too bitter for her taste, catching traffic on the way to school, and tripping on the stairs as she ran to at least make it to her last class, Henrietta was beginning to think this day couldn't get any worse. Of course, like always, it did get worse.

When she finished class, Henrietta ran to the parking lot to find out that her car had been booted for being parked in the wrong spot. You have to be freaking kidding me! Henrietta kicked the boot of her car and whipped out her phone to call her best friend Maxwell. Maxwell was your typical geek. He lived within the four walls of his room and behind the bright fluorescent light of his PlayStation. Max had always had an undying crush for Henrietta, but she clearly drew the line at the friendzone. "Max. Need a ride pronto." Without a single moment of hesitation Maxwell grabbed his keys and headed over to pick up Henrietta. For some reason he always knew where she was, not the least bit creepy.

After Maxwell picked up Henrietta they dropped by her favorite burger shack, grabbed a bit to eat and headed over to Henrietta's work place. She was running late, as usual. Henrietta always arrived late to work. She was hadn't fired though because she was the best recording engineer that would accept such a low paying salary. Basically without Henrietta's work, the recording studio would go broke.

The recording studio she worked with was known for making terrible bands sound decent enough to get them interview with a record companies, but even they couldn't make the actual band sound good. In simple terms, Henrietta was a master of disguise. She would mask all the mediocre mistakes of the bands so exquisitely someone might even consider them the real deal. Of course if they heard them live they'd find out it was all recording studio magic. Henrietta loved her job. It was her utopia, her paradise, her land of milk and honey. Nothing could ever upset her when she was there.

Of course, since today was the epitome of horrid, Henrietta's dreamworld was about to face reality. Henrietta walked into work to be faced with a Termination of Employment notice. "What the f*ck is this?" Henrietta stormed behind her boss, Mr. Ghanem, an old Arabian man with a thick accent. "You have been late too many times. I vill not tolerate this behavior any more! You have von veek to pack your stuff and get out of my studio." Mr. Ghanem walked into his office and slammed the door on Henrietta's face. "You can't do this to me old man! I'm the best person you can get with your cheap salaries!"

Henrietta stormed out of the recording company making her way back home. I shouldn't have gotten out of bed! First I miss a test now I'm fired? What now? Am I gonna be struck by lightning? Henrietta looked up to the sky scared to have jinxed her situation, but it was bright and sunny. Well at least one thing isn't going to happen...I wont get rained on. Just as Henrietta thought that two kids ran by her playing with water guns. Although they didn't shoot directly at her, she was the victim of a cross fire. I'm just going to stop thinking now.

The only thing that could possibly make Henrietta's day better was listening to some music. A couple of weeks ago she had stumbled upon a video blog of some guy named Jason. He was a guitar player with a wonderful voice. Henrietta loved listening to him play guitar. In the small time she had discovered the vlog, Jason became Henrietta's fantasy puppy crush. He was her muse. Henrietta turned on her computer slamming her fist down on the old CPU to get it running. Her fingers slid gracefully through the computer keyboard typing in Jason's vlog's URL. When the page loaded she saw that he had posted a new video. A smile grew on Henrietta's face as she clicked the play button.

"Hi, my name is Jason and welcome to my vlog. I am the first member of the band called 21 and OVER. We're currently looking for people who are like myself, a member of the working force, professional or not, who can play an instrument or can sing and who would like to escape his or her everyday routine.

She was speechless for a moment. Not really knowing how to take the information. Being in a band with Jason? Oh my God! This is it! This is totally my chance! Henrietta let out a fangirl scream as she scrolled down to the bottom of the page and began filling out the application. This is my path to becoming famous!

((Sorry for the length I love making character intros. My posts aren't usually this long unless I miss a bit and have to catch up or I'm given good responses in return. Hope this is okay...if there's anything wrong with it let me know and I'll change it. ))

Amu was in a nice deep sleep she was dreaming of well.....let's just say her dreams can be really random. Her alarm had been going off for 30mins and she was just now hearing it. "I'm late!!!!!" She jumped out if bed SMS got washed and dressed. She grabbed a poptart and ran across campus to class. Normally her agent Rei would have been driving her to school. But it was different now, she was on her own and had to learn to do things herself. Sometimes people would notice her from the tv show she use to be in and asked for her autograph. In high school Rei had been getting her into commercials but now that she was in college she told Rei more jobs. He wasn't to happy about that. After going to her three classes she she put in her skates and headed to work. Amu didn't really drive but she did love skateing everywhere. Once she got to work she went to the back to get changed. After she put her uniform on her boss came to the changing room. "Hey Amu you can relax a bit once Emily is done with her shift you can start." The boss walked out and Amu yelled out thanks. She sat down and pulled out her laptop. There were these videos that she liked to watch. It was a guy named Jason he would sing and play guitar. He was good and he had a big fan girl base. She saw he posted a new video and watched it. "No way!!! I'M so joining!!"

Wendy was sitting at her small intern desk. Since it was her day to work she didn't have any classes today. She was typing up a document for her boss for this big merger the firm was in the middle of. She was in the zone when her personal phone made a small *ding* sound alerting her of a text message. She looked around making sure no one was watching her, she slid her phone from the desk and glanced at the screen. Of course it's from my mom, who else would be texting me? The message read: "Hi dear, I know you've been busy with work and all so you haven't had time for music, but your father came across this video and thought you'd might be interested. Maybe you could even get over your stage fright ;) xoxo -Mom" Wendy sighed her Mom always insisted on trying to break Wendy out of "shell". The phone was placed back in the drawer and decided that she'd watch the video on her break.

On her break Wendy sat outside the office and put her headphones on and watched the video. She figured what the hell, it couldn't hurt. So she pulled up the application form and began filling it out. She knew her mom sent it to her so that she'd apply as a singer, but she found herself typing the word "Manager" instead. She pressed the submit button and hoped for the best. Sorry Mom, but the spotlight isn't my thing, she thought to herself as she wondered who else would be applying to join this band.

''And we're done!'' he shouted. They had just finished recording a track, but he didn't quite feel the heart for it. They mostly copeid words from other popular songs and that wasn't of his taste. You go original or nothing, was his quote. John was even quite happy they had finished this awful song, thank god he didn't sing or quite be the lead star in the song, he only used the guitar to make a beat.

He waved at everyone before leaving, and literally leaving. He had quit the band because of issues inside the band. He wanted to actually make original music and they tought covers were where it's at, and he didn't agree on that stupid logic. Of course, John knew there were great bands that made excellent covers, even sometimes mashing different ones, but, he didn't feel his forte was there.

As John left the tiny apartment they rocked in, he turned on his car. It wasn't a lamborghini, or a ferrari, his parents were rich, but not at that point, yet he enjoyed his 2012 mustang. A bright red color and two big lines covered the body of the car. The engine rumbled as he turned the car on and began to drive to his work
.

I should've called sick he tought to himself. John had a part-time job, but is was still boring and tyring, each two minutes an annoying and stuck-up customer would enter asking for a damn drawing of a cat in his latte.

John finally arrived at his job.
Galaxy Coffee, the most cheesy name ever, he thinked. It sounded so stupid, they could've copied starbucks and it would of had sounded more original. He finally made his way to the door and saw tables and tables full of people. The coffee was cheesy, but oh did people stack up on their frapuccinos.

John blew some air to his hair, swiping away the hair that covered his eyes, with an obviously annoyed face. He walked to the counter and put on his work vest. Obviously, for it to be called galaxy, they had to use some stupid vests with some poorly drawn ''stars.'' The constellations weren't even right! They could've put so much effort, but no, a deep purple vest with white dots.

John slowly walked to the counter, nearly dragging his feet. He waved very heavily at his co-workers, there was a girl that he actually felt was the reason he was still there. She was quite funny and entertaining, but no romantic feelings, obviously.

Customer by customer passed, each a different flavor of god damn coffee. He was never a fan of ''pumpkin spice latte's'' or anything fancy, he liked his coffee black, some milk and sugar. He was classy, that was obvious in his speech and way to dress, so his tastes also passed trough.

At last, his lunch break had arrived. The first smile John had drew finally shined trough. He went to sit at the back of the restraunt, got his laptop out of his bag and grabbed his ''classy coffee.'' A message from skype had arrived to his computer, so he went ahead and checked it. A friend of his had sent him a link to a vlog of a guy, along with the message ''there's your chance, mate!''

''"Hi, my name is Jason and welcome to my vlog. I am the first member of the band called 21 and OVER. We're currently looking for people who are like myself, a member of the working force, professional or not, who can play an instrument or can sing and who would like to escape his or her everyday routine.

He began to tap his chin, thinking if he should join or not. Lets see, no band, free time, why the hell not?! He stick his tongue out and began to fill the application, and the click of the mouse pressed ''submit''.

~Kate~

Kate had rolled over in her bed, putting the cover on top of head in a attempt to get rid of her annoying alarm clock that signaled it was time to get up. She had laid there for a few seconds before sighing and lifting the covers off her body and slamming the turn off button on her alarm to shut the alarm off.

" It never gets less annoying. Why am I not surprised." She had mumbled to herself before pushing herself off the bed stumbling a bit before balancing herself and heading to the bathroom.

Kate had turned on her bathroom light squinted a bit before her eyes at adjusted to the light. She had looked at herself in the mirror before yawning and began brushing her teeth so her breath didn't smell like spoiled milk. After she had finished brushing her teeth she had walked back to her bedroom and checked the time on her phone. "
I'll be on time. I hope." She had thought to herself internally praying their weren't a lot of people on the streets today.

After her mini praying session she had ran the shower water, waiting a bit for the water to warm up before stripping and entering the warm welcoming shower. After Kate's shower she had quickly wrapped a towel around her shivering body and walked back to her bedroom being careful not to trip over anything that she had threw on the floor.

Kate had quickly gotten ready picking a very simple outfit for work like usually. After she had finished getting ready Kate had put on one f her favorite jacket's not bothering to zip it up before rushing outside her apartment. She rushed passed many people on the way to her Aunt's bakery shop.

Kate was out of breath kneeling over on the glass window of her aunt's bakery "In the Mix." You could call it cliché but it was a pretty clever name since everything they made here you had to mix much to Kate's dislike but she dealt with it.

Kate had quickly came inside the door making a chime signaling that someone had entered the bakery. It wasn't very busy today like usually but that meant less work. Kate had noticed her aunt come out from the back of the story. " Kate, why are you here. I thought I called you telling you didn't have work today since it wasn't busy." Kate's aunt had said with a raised eyebrow at her niece. Her eyes had widened at this news. "
W-What so you mean to tell me, I came here for nothing. Man I could've been sleeping still."

Her aunt had only nodded in response to her question. "
Though you should stay, just in case we get busy and you don't answer any of my calls while your at home sleeping." Kate's aunt had added to her previous sentence before walking back to where she was before.

Kate had only sighed and nodded walking to the back of the store and grabbing her apron, before tieing it to her body before going up to the cash register and started to do her job. " Seems like that's everybody for now." Kate had mumbled before going to the back of the store. If anyone needed her they would ring the bell at the cash register and she would come back to her spot to answer whatever they needed from her.

Kate had found a comfortable yet quiet spot in the back of the shop and pulled out her headphones and her phone. Upon looking through videos on a site she had found one that had interested her quite a bit. Kate had clicked the video and watched it. "
Looks like they need some member's for a band. Why not it seems fun." She had thought to herself before filling out the application.

The glare from the computer screen reflected on his glasses as he pushed the bridge of it to fix it on his face. He's got his hair pulled away from his face in a neat pony. Jason was waiting for his software to compile as he had his chin buried on his hand over his work desk. He pressed the alt and the tab button to switch to other application. He stumbled on his facebook account. He browsed aimlessly on the feed and randomly clicked the like button. A few refreshes has been commanded and his sight was caught by a certain ad. It says "Clash of Bands", he clicked the link and was redirected to another site with the details pertaining to a competition. It was a battle of the bands with a nationwide range.

Jason lived two lives, his digital one and his musical one. As a person Jason wasn't the social type, he would keep to himself and his computer or would drown himself on the baseline strum of his guitar. Jason was a shy guy in person, but is an entirely different person when he do cover songs, or his original works and play them for his viewers. He records his performances and uploads them to the cloud for everyone to see. If he isn't researching or debugging codes, he is keeping his channel updated. He is the type of person that wouldn't utter a single word if not talked to but he will definitely rock the microphone and the guitar when the music starts.

His father was a big factor for his passion for music. Since he was little, he and his father would sit down their porch and just jam until the sun set.

He thought about joining the competition but there is only one thing that kept him from doing so. Jason wasn't in a band.

Jason went home still thinking about the ad. "Hey man! You got to check this out!" Dave said. Dave was Jason's cousin and was living with his apartment for a good while now. "What's that?" Jason asked. "Haven't you seen this? This is your ticket man. Clash of the Bands. You are definitely joining this!" Dave said. Jason put down his laptop and his bag, changed his clothes and grabbed a glass of water from his fridge. "You ate the cake man? I was saving that for tonight! Damn, Dave!" he said with a click on his tongue. "C'mon forget the cake, you gotta do this dude!"

"What are you saying? Are you stupid or something? That's for bands, I am not in a band. I don't have a band. "

"Yeah. Not yet."

"Huh? What do you mean?"

"We will be forming a band. NOW!" Dave said standing up and grabbing the camera from the cabinet.

"What is that for? We'll form a band? You can't even play anything. And I don't think that voice of yours will gonna cut it."

"That's cold man, but not me. This is for you, we are going to recruit your members."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A couple of days passed and Jason came home from work. Dave was nowhere to be found. He sat down and opened his channel. He's got a few emails from the webpage he set up for his recruitment. A smile crept on his face as he felt something inside him, a small fire started to lit up on his chest. He replied to each one of them.

~Henrietta~

The purple haired girl came out of a one story house with uncut grass. She moved her hips and jumped around to the crashing bass line of The White Stripes Seven Nation Army. With Henrietta's headphones bursting in her ears, she almost forgot the reason why she was leaving her house nicely dressed on Sunday night. Henrietta stepped into her house again, grabbing the case were she kept her keyboard and then slammed the door behind her. She wiggled and shimmied her way into her car, which Maxwell was so polite to retrieve for her, singing at the top of her lungs. She wasn't a bad singer. Several vocal lessons had helped Henrietta with that, but she wasn't American Idol material.

Placing the keyboard in the back seat of her old '69 Camaro, Henrietta got into the driver's seat and turned on the ignition. She looked over to the passenger seat and found her Termination of Employment notice. Henrietta frowned and took the papers in her hand. She had already cleared out her desk after begging her boss for a second chance, but he wouldn't hear of it. Taking the paper with both hands Henrietta tore the paper in half, put the car in reverse, got out of the driveway, and made her way downtown.

After having her horrible day, the rest of the week went by in blur. Henrietta had tried talking her professor into giving her a makeup exam, but that didn't go very far. She said goodbye to the place that had been paying for her rent and food. She got her car back and she went job hunting with Maxwell. Aside from that her only highlight was finding the email from Jason telling the applicants to meet him in Studio 23.

The drive downtown was calm and relaxing. Henrietta lived in the outskirts of the town so the only traffic she encountered was during the week. However as soon as she hit the city cars zoomed past her and swerved in and out of line. Oh the beauty of city drivers. Henrietta didn't fall behind though. She was as reckless of a driver as the rest of the citizens. Always going over the speed limit and not really paying attention to the road in front of her, it was a miracle she was still alive and not in jail.

Arriving at Studio 23, Henrietta looked up at the multiple story building wondering if this was were Jason lived, or if it was just his personal work place. She parked right in front of the apartment like building, lucky to have found a parking space. She stepped out of the vehicle bringing her keyboard with her and headed up the steps of the building. Henrietta pulled on the door and was surprised to find it locked. Well shit... She looked around for a door bell or something and found a buzzer box. Squinting, Henrietta tried reading the faded names next to each buzzer, but after three fuzzy names Henrietta gave up and just pressed all of them hoping one of the buzzer's belonged to Jason's studio.

Wendy received the message from Jason and immediately added the date and time to her schedule. She had all her necessary tasks and assignments planned to be completed on Saturday so that she had all day Sunday to herself before the audition. How am I going to audition to be the manager? she began to wonder. I've never managed a band before...oh no maybe I'm not qualified! Wendy began to worry, but quickly calmed herself down. She reminded herself of all the managing duties she had at her internship. She could do this.

Wendy spent her Sunday morning relaxing, she went to her favorite cafe near her apartment which was located downtown. She grabbed her usual cup of coffee and a muffin. She sat outside as she enjoyed her morning, reading. Wendy stopped reading when the anxiety about that night began to kick in. She took the napkin and started writing down good qualities about herself that would make her fit for the position. Her mind was processing at a mile a minute. She wondered how many other people had applied for the position, Wendy hated competition. However, she knew that if there was another candidate she would most likely come out on top. Wendy refuses to lose.

It was time for Wendy to leave and head to studio 23. It was a brief 10minute walk from her apartment. Wendy was dressed in business attire and had her padfolio tuck safely under her arm with plenty of examples of her managing experience. As she walked up to the door she saw a girl just press all of the buttons on the buzzer box, I guess that'll work Wendy thought to herself as she continued to walk up to the door. "I'm assuming that you're here for the band auditions too?" she asked the girl curiously. "By the way it was the third one from the bottom" Wendy pointed to an extremely fainted name plate, then smiled "but your way works too." she added with a shrug. Wendy waited beside the girl, waiting to be buzzed into the building.

It had been a long week for Amu, with all her classes, going to work and hanging out with friends it had been a busy week but she liked that. She was always having fun. Later that week she got a message saying for everyone to meet up on Sunday 7:00 PM, at studio 23 downtown. She got really excited she would do her best. Amu was a church going girl and every Sunday she would go to church with her mom. After church she told her mom about the band she was going to try to get into. "Well that's lovely dear! I hope you get in." Her mother said smiling. "Thanks mama!" Her agent Rei had over heard the conversation. "Wait your auditioning for a bad?! This is perfect this will get people noticing you againa and I get go back to getting you acting Jobs!" He said this with great excitement and determination. Which all crumbled when Amu said, "No Sorry Rei I'm only interested in singing. I already told you this." Rei ran up to her. "But your so good I could even help you get into the band. Just think how professional you'll look with your agent next to you." Amu shook her head no. " Sorry Rei I'm doing this on my own. Well got to go see you later." She bolted out the door before Rei could say another word. Her mother walked up to Rei, who had a air of depression around him. "Feeling completely useless huh? Haha!" Rei depression just got worse. Amu walked home thinking about the audition and what she would wear. Later when it was time to go she put on her skates and headed down town. While skating down the street she noticed a car following her. She try to loose it but after 30 minutes she realized it was her agent Rei. She stopped as the car pulled over. Rei rolled down his window smiling. "Hello." "Rei I told you I'm doing this on my own and no more acting jobs!" She started skating back down the sidewalk really fast with Rei driving after yelling out at her. It was a pretty funny sight. When she finally made it to the door Rei had jumped out at her holding on to her leg yelling please over and over. "Darn it Rei I said no!." They then looked up realizing there were two girls looking at them with strange looks. "um haha hi" Amu said realizing how strange this looked.

"
Wait a minute, baby/ stay with me a while..."

He hummed as he cleaned, wiping the bartop vigorously. There was a huge debate going on in his mind; whether or not to join the band he'd happened to see online. Granted, he was drunk and did get dared to do the one thing that might make him implode on the spot.

Crossing over to the clock out system, he thoughtfully punched in a code to finish his work day. 'Sure, it'd be fun...but there is something more about this guy.' He thought while taking off his apron. Black leather pants barely passed as work friendly, but Stevie got no complaints. That's the best thing about
looking surly.

By the time Stevie had made it out to the parking lot, he'd made his decision. He was gonna join, not only as the drummer but the writer too. They'd be crazy not to accept. With a smug smirk, he mounted his coveted ten speed. 'Now I have to find out his name.' He thought, shoulders slouching slightly.

(( @RedInkKid I think your post glitched out ))

He kept on browsing, bored. That was the only message that had arrived at his inbox, so, there was quite not a lot of more things to read, plus, he had deleted his facebook, all that thing did was drain out his time, no need for that.

The clock went on and the time had been marked. His alarm ringed and he sighed, opening his mouth and yawning, while covering his mouth with the palm of his right hand.

Back to work, god damn it. He murmured to himself, as he walked slowly to the counter of his oh so hated job. I should seriously get a better job, making some damn burgers would be better than faking a smile and these people spitting on my face because I'm their barista.

The day ended, and he arrived to his home, at about 6:00 pm. John had moved out from with his parents about a year ago, so he had a cozy, white house for himself.

Ding! sounded the computer. He threw his bags away and went to check what it was.

Hi,

Thank you so much for applying. I would like to invite you now for a practice. So we know how we would work as one. Can you make it this Sunday? 7:00 PM, at studio 23 downtown. I will be expecting you there.

P.S.

You guys rock!

Jason.

He smiled and noted that date on his calender, quite excited to meet the people we would meet, since, he used words like ''we'', so he assumed there would be more people.

The day arrived, average schedules flied away. He got in his car and drove to the directions, with his acoustic guitar rattling at the back. At exactly 7:00 pm, he arrived and saw three girls outside. John wasn't really decided if he would get out and start to make friends with these girls, so he sat there, thinking about it a bit.

He got the guts and grabbed his black bag, that had the guitar inside. He strapped it on his back and went outside, walking to the door. As John arrived, he noticed he was quite taller than the girls, they'd maybe reach his shoulder, but that didn't matter. He smiled to them and closed his eyes, before resting on the wall.

((I'll stop making huge posts, after all, this is a casual roleplay x3))

Jason saved all his works and made a back up for each file on the cloud and on the company's fileserver, for a computer enthusiast it was never a bad idea to keep several copies of a file, so it will be safe from whatever. He grabbed his jacket and clocked out. He was nervous and excited. What if no one comes? What if those applications were just random bogus posts? I'm gonna make Dave pay for it. The thoughts were starting to scare him off when he received a call.

"Hey man, where are you? Get you ass in here! They are already here!" Dave said over the phone with his energy oozing from it.

"You serious? Okay I'm getting a cab" he answered and hailed one.

Dave was sleeping on the couch when he heard the buzzer going off. It's not theirs, it's from the next door, and then another one, this time from another room. Then the third one hit theirs. He looked out of the window and saw two girls. Another girl was just joining them and she was on skates. Jason's father was on a band when he was alive. He kept a small studio just below their apartment unit. It was small but it was more than enough to keep a band while playing.

A car just pulled up on their drive way when Jason got out of the cab. There were three girls waiting upfront. The smile on his face just appeared when he started to think that this may be the start of something he had never dreamed of. Starting his own band. When he was little, he always dreamed that he can play music with his father on stage. Unfortunately he didn't get the chance to.

The guy from the car made his way also to their doors. Full of hesitation he called out to them in a low voice. "Uhm, Hi. I'm Jason. Are you all applying for the band? Let's all go inside." Dave was just there as he opened the door. "The studio's ready?" "Yeah! I cleaned it. i must have passed out from exhaustion man." he replied.

The room was a good 110 sqm, a drum set was lying quietly there. Amplifiers set on the side and the cables were spread on the floor. "Welcome to our studio guys. I hope we can all make good music together." Dave exclaimed with his arms wide open. "Uhm, but you don't play anything Dave." Jason disrupted. Dave wrapped his arm around Jason's shoulder. "Don't worry about the small details dude." he said while tapping him. "How's that detail small?" he whispered back.

"Okay! Now we're here. Why don't we start the ball rolling while waiting for the others? I see you brought your own guitar." Dave turned to John. "Anyhow, everything here is functioning well. Let's grab anything and start playing or something after stating a short something about ourselves. Okay? Jason why don't you start?" he pointed out to him as he was tuning his guitar. "Me? Oh, okay. I guess I should."

He plugged in his guitar on the amplifier and strummed it. He stood in front of the microphone and started "Hm, hey, My name is Jason. I play guitar, I can song, oh God knows I believe I can. I can do a bit of rock, alternative and acoustic covers. I haven't prepared for anything today, I didn't know I was gonna do it like this. Thanks to this asswipe here." his head tilted towards Dave. He was very confident behind the mic and his guitar, he was like another person up there. All the hesitation and nervousness gone. "Alright, so this is a song I heard on the cab while I'm en route here. I don't know the title but it sounded good.

He started hitting the strings on a C chord and then muting them changing an Am. He started singing with the beat. "When your legs won't work work like they used to before,

And I can't sweep you off of your feet.

Will your mouth still remember the taste of my love.

Will your eyes still smile from your cheeks..."

He finished the song complete with all the notes, and even the lead part. He just heard the song and he already knew it by heart, but actually it was just his own version. That's Jason's talent, owning a song. He can learn how to play something by listening to it. He doesn't know how to read music sheets.

"So, how was it? Who's playing next?" he turned to his visitors.

~Kate~

It had been a few days since Kate had applied to the band. She sighed as she scrolled absent mindly through her emails before she had noticed one that had caught her attention. Her eyes had widened and she had quickly sat up on her bed reading the email she had got from Jason.

Hi,

Thank you so much for applying. I would like to invite you now for a practice. So we know how we would work as one. Can you make it this Sunday? 7:00 PM, at studio 23 downtown. I will be expecting you there.

P.S.

You guys rock!

Jason.

The email had read. "
Sent 4 days ago. Oops at least its today though I'm already late. Though its not to far away, I'll be able to make it not the late." She had thought to herself before running her fingers through her hair and turning off her phone and putting it on her back pocket. She had quickly rushed and got her black pair of Converse and her bass guitar case before grabbing her apartment keys from the key hook and rushing out the door though making sure not to leave it open and lock it like she does most of the time. After a few minutes after, of passing through a bunch of people and millions of mumbles of sorry's along with making sure she didn't hit anyone with her bass guitar. Kate had finally made it to the studio out of breath.

She had leaned on the wall and put down her case panting before pressing a random number hoping that it was Jason's though she was to out of breath to really care at the moment. After Kate had finally caught her breath she had dusted herself off a bit before putting her case back on her shoulder and waiting at the door. "
If no one comes I'll ring a different one." She had thought to herself making a plan in her head.

~Henrietta~

Henrietta was taken by surprise when a girl came from behind her. "I'm assuming that you're here for the band auditions too?" Henrietta raised her eyebrow towards the girl What gave it away? Was it the massive keyboard hanging on my shoulder? She settled for a simple smile and head nod. "By the way it was the third one from the bottom" She turned to look at the buzzer box and lo- and behold there was a small 23 written next to the third button from the bottom. "but your way works too." Henrietta's eyes narrowed although she was looking away from the girl so she doubted her expression was noticed. Well if you don't like the way I do things then do them yourself, m'kay? M'kay! Again Henrietta just smiled at the girl and pressed the third button at the bottom not saying a single word in response.

What went on in Henrietta's head was entirely different than what she actually did. She tried to be as polite as possible. Unfortunately her thoughts weren't very polite, so she just kept her mouth shut. Soon the two girls were joined by yet another female. She was yelling at some Rei person. So we have a know it all and a princess joy... Henrietta tried to hide a laughter that was bubbling up inside her. Unable to hold steady when the princess mumbled a hello, Henrietta began coughing trying to hid the fact that she was really laughing. I'm starting to think this was a really bad idea.

Not long after another car pulled up. A guy. Finally I was beginning to think this was going to turn into the new spice girls. Henrietta was starting to sigh in relief when she noticed he wasn't getting down. Houston we have a problem... She craned her neck trying to get a peek of who was inside, but the windows in the car were a bit too dark for her to make out any dominant features. Giving up, Henrietta went back to the door and pulled on it once more. Still locked. "Oh you've got to be kidding me!" Just then, the guy from the car stepped out of the vehicle and walked over to the wall and leaned against it. Emo much?

Henrietta was about to call is a day and head back home when a last car pulled over. Jason! Henrietta's blushed slightly as her heart began to race and her eyes sparkled. She was acting like a teenage girl meeting her celebrity crush for the first time. Although as Jason got close, Henrietta was beginning to feel a bit disappointed. She caught a faint sense of hesitation on his part and his low tone of voice was off putting. I thought he'd be much more...extroverted...

Henrietta followed the guy and the rest of the people towards the studio. They were greeted by a way more energetic version of Jason. Henrietta liked this guy, Dave from what she heard Jason call him. She giggled a bit as Dave and Jason disputed on the talent of the first and then settled on Jason being the first to introduce himself. He stated the typical name, instrument, and genre. Doesn't seem so hard. He even seems a bit more relaxed. Henrietta smiled as Jason took his guitar and began strumming his fingers through the strings. He began singing and Henrietta felt like she was a little girl again. Jason's voice brought a soothing sensation that had only happened when she was at the recording studio.

Before even realizing it he was done and asking who else wanted to give it a shot. Henrietta looked around, but no one seemed to speak so she rose her hand as if she was back in grade school. "I'll go." Henrietta placed her keyboard on the floor next to her and walked over to the one that was already set up. She sat in the little stool and adjusted the height to fit her comfort. She turned the key board on a played a single chord followed by a major scale, just to make sure the sound was working. Henrietta stood walked over to the audio mixer feeling as if she was back at the recording studio, twisted a few nobs , raised a couple of bars and then returned to the keyboard. She played the chord and scale again smiling in approval with the sound coming out of the speakers.

"'Sup. I'm Henrietta, but you all can call me Henri I don't mind. As you can see I play the keyboard." She turned to Dave, "You've got a pretty decent system here. Kudos!" Henrietta smiled and looked back at the rest of the people in the room. "Any way...I mostly listen to Indie rock, songs from the 80's, some alternative, and your occasional rock songs." Henrietta frowned realizing this was the moment she was suppose to start playing. She looked down at the keyboard and placed her hand over the keys. She played a single note and then heard the buzzer go off. She looked over at Jason and Dave, "Are you guys expecting anyone else?"

Amu noticed one of the girls getting ready to laugh, she could of she didn't mind and it was pretty funny. "Rei! Look if I say ok will you please leave! xD " Rei looked up at her and said "No you have to let me come please!" Amu sighed then noticed a guy coming over to join the group. She smiled at him then looked back down at her agent. "......fine" Rei jumped up and fixed his clothes and smiled and said, "Good" Amu glad he had finally let her go she took off her skates. She then turned to see Jason coming over to them. He seem to be kind of....well she couldn't think of the word. Then they all followed him into the studio. They met a guy name Dave he seem pretty cool. Her agent Rei stayed in the corner staying quiet. Jason song them a few lines from a song. He sounded great when he was done he asked who was next. Amu had brought some music that she had thought about singing but she wasn't sure which song to do. Just then a girl named Henrietta said she would.

Stevie

Stevie pushed the send button, hoping it wasn't already too late. He had been really busy that week, throwing in his busted keyboard and lack of resources--he'd barely been able to see the vlog Jason had sent out. Kicking his bike up, he began to ride into town but was distracted by the very face he'd just finished watching. The group comprised of two girls and a guy had just entered the building just as Stevie started to sprint toward them. He reached the door just it closed in his face. He banged, to no avail, and almost gave up. After waiting 5 minutes, he began walking toward his bike before noticing a buzzer. He didn't know the room, but he knew he was in the right place. He swiped his palm down the entire pad, buzzing everyone. "
Jason?" he spoke into what looked like an intercom, hoping he didn't cause too much trouble.

After singing Jason went back to being his shy self, he would avoid eye contact for he wasn't sure if he did good up the stage, he nodded to the girl named Henrietta before she gone up. He sat down to a chair next to Dave's, "What are you still doing here? I don't think you have an ear for music."

"For a shy guy you really have quite the sharp tongue eh?" Dave retaliated and tapped Jason's back. "I may not have the ears for it, but I have the eyes for stars. And this one right here is an idol material." he said gesturing to Henrietta. Before the girl could even play, the buzzer went off again. Dave got up and went out to let the visitors come in.

Out the doorway was an old guy with hair of grey and was slowly walking with his staff knocking on the walls. He turned to Dave "What are you troublemakers doing now? The buzzers all are going crazy! You nimwits are pushing every single damn of the buttons!" he said agitated. "I'm sorry Mr. Flemming, I'll fix the buzzers."

Dave went out and opened the door to see a girl and a guy waiting outside. "You guys here to audition? Come on up." he said as he lead them to the studio. "Hey guys, say hello to the other participants."He said to the group already gathered inside. ( @RedInkKid )

Stevie

Looking around, Stevie figured they'd have a lot of work to go through. "
Hey," he said, nodding in the direction of the pink haired girl. She looked nice. The air of the room was awkward--lots of limbs shifting and feet shuffling. Stevie pushed his bangs from his face, striding toward the drum set at the other side of the room.

The kit was clean and polished. It bothered him. There was no story on these drums. Anyone can sing--even Stevie could, not that it would happen. But the beat of the drum kept everyone and everything in check. Without a beat there is no story.

Stevie picked up the brand new set of sticks placed on the stool neatly. He opened the pack and sat down, eyeing the rest of the group with a raised brow. "
So...are we ready to rock or what?" he asked with a rare smirk attached.

~Henrietta~

Her top body poking out of the key board, Henrietta smiled at the new people that came in. One of them, the guy nodded in her direction. Henrietta nodded back in return, "Howdy!" She watched as he made his way to a set of drums and carefully inspected the set. She wasn't so familiar with drum's but he seemed to not be so fond of them. She could somewhat understand. It was weird for her also to be sitting in front of a keyboard that wasn't her own. It felt like she was cheating, but she didn't really have a choice. The keyboard was set up, so this would have to do for now.

Returning the guy's enthusiasm, Henrietta smirked. "Choose a song, drummer boy." She looked at the rest of the crowd hoping they would jump in and ease the awkwardness. First time meetings were always a bit awkward, but definitely necessary.

((Sorry it's lacking, but there isn't much going on to write about...))
