This is a reboot of "Sycamore Falls" that never got its foot off the ground.
THE PLOT:
A town with such rich history and culture also holds bitter yet sweet memories. It is a town that never sleeps. Many generations of families have been living there for as long as they can remember. Most of the town, closets to the mountains keep to themselves, some people say that it’s because they’re hiding a secret, while others say that they’re just stuck up. While the other townspeople mostly live in the heart of the town. But all in all, the town welcomes people of different kinds, and when we say all, we mean all. There has been the occasional “boy cries wolf” scenario, but the townspeople choose to not believe it. Considering the fact that this town was built upon supernatural sightings and is the towns leading tourist attraction. However, once the sun goes down, that is when all the fun tends to begin.
There are plenty of mysterious events that happen in the town, but it’s been years, if not decades since anything major has happened. Those that have stated they’ve seen things have either been laughed at, shunned, or in a rare case they 'disappear'. The Mayor’s family has had a lot of legacies in this town, and a lot of those members of the family that have been elected have been putting up a front to conceal a real danger. The town was built over the gates of hell they say, which is why it serves as a natural hotspot for supernatural activities. They never said whether the gates have ever been opened or not, but that was just a rumor, like many things in this town.
As we follow in on this journey, the supernatural beings are starting to come out of the shadows, but not completely, and began to live a 'normal' life. The normal life of not getting caught by humans and hunters as well, they have been doing so for many years. In Chapter 1, a new threat arises where people are disappearing and dying.
This is where our story takes place, even though it's simple, there are many plots that will unfold and if you have any plots you want to put forth, by all means, do so by personally messaging me or putting it in the request channel in the discord. I am doing the plots in chapters, so when you take a look at the chapters tab, you will see two chapters already written out but it doesn’t give much detail since this rp will be built/developed by the players!
I would hopefully want each character (or you can do pairs), to have a chapter in the rp, whether it be an emotional chapter filled with betrayal or a chapter that has a lot of group work/fighting scenes. I want this to be a team effort in making this rp as lively as possible. Lots of drama, romance, torment, betrayal, and everything else in the pot! As the rp progresses, so will the characters and also the lore too! Hopefully giving some background to each chapter. I want this to be a cross between The Originals, Euphoria, Charmed, Supernaturals and etc (I know…pick one, haha. I can’t just choose one! I want the rp to have a little bit of both.) This is a little bit of a slice of life but also guided just a tad.
ROLES:
I decided to just make some pre-character roles which are listed below. I need people to fill those roles below, but if you don't want these roles then you can make your own. Like doing a cheerleader role, et cetera. It is up to you. Just let me know which spot you want me to hold for you and if you aren't doing one of the ones listed below, tell me what role you want your character to have. (Gang leaders, librarians, hunters, etc)

Vampires:
There is a process to becoming a vampire...
Process:
When a person is bitten, they have twenty-four hours to basically choose life or death.
You are not born a vampire, at least that is what most people think. Since the aging for vampires is much slower, the reproduction system of female vampires runs so slow that it does not work to its full extent. Though there have been some rumors of handlings; a cross between a vampire and oftentimes a human or in a very rare occasion where two pureblood vampires mate.
NOTE:
Vampires can save the lives of others by giving them their blood. Since vampires have the ability to heal themselves, it's in their blood and when they give an injured person their blood, the victim becomes healed. (This cannot turn a person into a vampire. You have to die before you become an undead. Though if they died while still having vampire blood in their system, then they can oftentimes rise as vampires.)
If a vampire chooses to save a human who has died and bring them back to life. Then the vampire must give them their blood and thus when they wake, they begin their transformation by feeding.

WITCHES
In the witch community, it is illegal to have a child with another breed because it breaks the chain. Power is passed through every full witch that is born and harnessed within the community so that it is distributed equally, and they can't do so if the chain is tainted. A half-breed is almost like chaos in the eyes of a witch because they can either create or destroy life if not taken care of. To a vampire, the blood of a virgin witch is the key to WALKING IN THE SUNLIGHT (without a jewelry piece on that has a spell of protection on it from the light) and (only part of the key to the cure for vampires), also the taste for them is very pure and often sends them into a frenzy.
Resolution: The way they used to resolve a half-breed is by killing it before it is born by putting a terrible spell on the mother that kills the child from the inside (so in other words a miscarriage). This practice is forbidden and rarely ever practiced.

Types:
There are different types of witches within the community, many of them possessing powers that are similar and yet unique to them. What kind of which you choose your character to be is up to you. A dark witch, a witch that practices healing with various herbs, a witch that controls the weather, etc.
The Wolf -- Each person is born like any typical human being would be, but at the babe's first breath, the soul of their eternal wolf is gifted to them by the moon goddess and has to wait until the age of 13 years old to transform. So basically they have two beings, their human form, and their animal form. The wolf is just another side of the human, so they have a mind of their own, but are still connected to one another.
This is why it explains the reason why they eat a lot, in order to maintain an appropriate human energy and animal energy; allowing them to keep their strengths up.
Each wolf is different from the next and some may have wolves that are calm, while others will have hot-tempered wolves and et cetera.
The height of the wolves is very different from any typical woodland wolf. These are mystical creatures, and the Alpha has a towering height of 6 feet, will the rest of the members have a height of five feet, and some close to six feet but never reach the height of the Alpha. The Alpha has the tallest height to assert dominance over the pack and any intruder.
The fur color is up to you.
The Eyes -- In the human form, they have three eye colors that change from time to time. One depends on whether they are hungry, the other depends on their temper and the last is their natural color.
Mind Linking -- Every wolf is able to mind link with another, which is like telepathy; communicating through thoughts and this is used in both their wolf and human forms.
Shifting -- The typical age for a wolf's first shift is at the age of 13 years old. The latest age to shift is 15 or 16 years old, but that is only if the person is having a mental battle with themselves that conflicts with their wolf's first transformation. It does hurt to transform the first time because the human bones are taking a new form for the first time. But the more the shift happens, the less and less painful it is to shift. This is why when the first shift comes, the young wolf must be in an isolated spot away from people because their judgment is oftentimes clouded by the pain that they undergo. Before the new wolf can shift on its own, it must undergo three full moons, before it can automatically shift whenever they please.

Abilities that all werewolves have:
1. Superhuman... Speed, Strength, Endurance, Agility, Immortality, Shifting, Healing Factors, Night Vision and et cetera.
As for the Healing Factor, they can only heal quickly if they have enough energy. But if they do not and are in a weak state, they can still heal their wound, but it will take a while.
The Marking --Werewolves can mark their mate to show that they belong to each other and the scent from the marking will be picked up by any wolf as a warning to not try anything. Kind of like marking their territory, but marking each other.
THE CHAPTERS:
"A War Is Coming...Which Side Will You Be On?"
If you have a plot/chapter in mind, please feel free to let me know and I will add it here. I want these chapters to be led by whoever chooses to make an event. You can each get a turn in controlling what happens in the chapter to some extent.
Chapter 1: The First Taste
Recently people have been coming up missing, it was just one person a month, but now there is a pattern that is starting to show. This killer is becoming quite messy, leaving behind a trail of unconscious or almost-dead bodies. The town is becoming suspicious and attention is being raised on whether the Mayor is going to do anything to stop these killings from happening. The Hunters have concluded what they've guessed, while the investigators of the town have ruled out that the markings and the way the victims are left, is an animal predator. Some say it's a wolf, but others say it's more than that; it leaves its victims almost without a pint of blood in their body or slashes them across the chest.
The creatures that have kept themselves in the shadows for so long are finally coming out to see whether they can put an end to this, so that suspicion is not raised any more than it is now. The town killer is amongst the people of Covington, GA and it doesn't help that a newbie to town has washed up down by the river. The Mayor has issued that everyone stays indoors after 5 pm, until they can put a rest to these deaths and disappearances. Though the young hearts of Covington have other plans and what better way than to defy the curfew than a lake party? Everyone from school is there having a good time and enjoying the company that they came with or found. Music is loud, the moon is full and at its highest in the sky, and the alcohol is either in a keg or mixed with a bunch of other toxins that will leave anyone who drinks it on the floor.
In this chapter, my character will be the first one up. She is just figuring out her newfound identity, and since she was the shy and quiet one at school all of the suspicions soon start to point on her. Will she get caught or become part of the unsolved mysteries at Covington?
This chapter will also see betrayal, blackmail, action, and anything else that may come up.

Chapter 3: Gates of Hell Have Opened (STILL WORKING ON IT)
There are pieces of a scepter that need to be collected, one is with the mayor, the second is hidden in the city's museum, and the third is buried somewhere in the forest). The pieces were never meant to be united, but there is a great evil coming, and evil that was sealed in the great prison of Tartarus. Someone or something has awakened the pieces and planned to use them either for the good of the world is the bad of the world.
(The town is sitting on the gates of hell that is why the paranormal activity is so high and for the longest time, this town has been home to too many creatures. Most of them being werewolves, vampires, and witches. But they keep to themselves and never come out of hiding. They act like regular humans, but many of them have big secrets and go out for late-night snacks, but always seem to cover up, so that no suspicions are raised within the town. The mayor knows some families that are not who they say they are, but deep down, he knows that exposing them would only ruin his reputation; a mayor who keeps secrets and also stir up trouble that smells like a war)

- Mayor (human) (open)— the mayor may look like a man of few words, but he is a man who can switch faces with the snap of a finger. He holds his head high and believes to be better than all, but of course, he has an intimidating aura to him, he is liked by most, and hated by all. He is a man who always gets what he wants, no matter the consequences. The Mayor never sees eye to eye with his son, and the two always end up in heated arguments to the point where one of them can go an entire day if not a week not speaking to one another. The mayor has secrets that were passed down for generations, and he holds all of them in his hands.
- Mayor's Son (unknown…traces of werewolf bloodline, genes passed down) (open)—next in line to take over. Always has to keep an image as the perfect child. Always goes to family events, town meetings, and star football players. But also has a secret (you can make up the secret that he’s holding, it can be something big or something small…just let me know)
- Mayor's daughter (human) (open)— the very definition of a drama queen, she is daddy's little girl or some will say satan’s little spawn. She and her brother share the same father, but not the same mother. (It’s up to you to decide whether your character is close with their brother or not).
- The outcast (boy or girl) (pick your specifies) (Open - )— like people perceive them, they are an outcast from the rest of the time. Preferring to keep to themselves, and who better than to keep to themselves than the rich families living near the mountains. They try to hide that their family comes from a generation of wealth and success because they don’t like the pressure that it brings. To try and defy that, they’ve done everything that their parents would disapprove of; smoking, drugs and etc. They used to be best friends with the Mayor's daughter until they had a falling out (You can decide what the fall out is).
- The Newbie -- (TAKEN --

) (hybrid) now the newbie just showed up, or should we say, washed up in town down by the river banks. She has no ID and no recollection of who or what she is. She is a blank slate and raises much speculation about where she came from and who she is. There are those that offered her sanction, but for some reason, she doesn't like the vibes that they are putting out. - The troublemaker (boy or girl) (pick your species) (Open - )— They are a little chaotic, mischievous, and love to stir the pot and fan the flames underneath. They oftentimes will work with the Mayor's daughter who is causing trouble; they usually do the mayor's daughter's bidding, but recently, they’ve been debating back and forth about whether it's worth it or not; getting into trouble that is. The troublemaker has had a rough childhood growing up and feels as though they are alone in this world, which is why they have a tough exterior so that they don’t let anyone in who could hurt them. They rarely talk about their feelings, so good luck trying to get it out of them. People see the troublemaker as a smart-ass, intimidating, and mean individual.
- Investigator/Cop #1 (human) (Open - )— They made it their entire life mission to rid the town of crime. They know some of the secrets of the town, but that is only how much the Mayor wants them to know. They work closely with the mayor and even receive large sums to make sure that the image of the town is not destroyed by mysterious events or creatures that decide to come their way.
- Investigator/Cop #2 (pick your species) (Open - ) — this investigator is more tied to the psychology and emotions of their job. They question everything and wonder what could have made the person do this, or what the real motive was; they use reason when looking at the cases; unlike their other partner who tends to like to jump to conclusions.
- The Leader of The Hunters -- this person (she/he), is responsible for leading the group of hunters that were assembled many years ago. A new leader is appointed whenever the original leader has passed or is challenged for the spot. The Hunters know a lot and do their absolute best at protecting the townspeople, and they even have a deal with the Mayor of the city. Funding the organization and making sure they have the necessary equipment to protect the town (see how crazy that is...especially with the mayor's son being-- never mind.) The leader takes no crap from others and is very hard on their team members, pushing them to never fail or make a mistake out on the field. (the rest will be incorporated into the description once the rper has written their personality)
- Lead Witch (TAKEN -

) --- all witches belong to a coven, and the town's lead witch has proven herself after all these years and gained the trust of her coven. She owns a very popular tourist witch shop in town, and in the back is for her popular and mystical clients. - When first in transition, the victim will feel thirsty, have irritation in the throat, have high temperature, excessive sweating, irregular heartbeat, they become pale, and have nausea.
- In order to finish the transition, they must drink from a human and their 'master', better known as the person who had bitten them.
- Once the transformation is completed, that newbie vampire will be sired to their creator. (Meaning, you can feel their every emotion, thought, and if one of them dies, they feel it because the sire-link is broken.)
- The only way to break a sire-bond is by either killing the 'offspring,' or just getting a witch to cast a separation spell, which oftentimes can be extremely painful and drains their energy.

(The town is sitting on the gates of hell that is why the paranormal activity is so high and for the longest time, this town has been home to too many creatures. Most of them being werewolves, vampires, and witches. But they keep to themselves and never come out of hiding. They act like regular humans, but many of them have big secrets and go out for late-night snacks, but always seem to cover up, so that no suspicions are raised within the town. The mayor knows some families that are not who they say they are, but deep down, he knows that exposing them would only ruin his reputation; a mayor who keeps secrets and also stir up trouble that smells like a war)

10. Don't leave your partner waiting for you to reply, let them know you have writer's block, real life has taken over, or let me know what's up. (I LIKE TO BE IN THE LOOP)
