You have been chosen to be sent to this manor to live for how long? You don't know. This is social experiment made by your government to see how people turn on other people when there is something at stake.


This social experiment is being recorded. People are voting on who get's the poisoned food and who gets 1,000 dollars at the end of an episode.


Stakes will be risen and scenarios played. Make your show interesting or they'll do it for you....

Feel free to cause drama but please no explicit sexual content or killing of anyone else's characters.

This is your evaluation. Not everyone will accepted, only the best descriptions will be taken and every response in the RP must be literate and at least 1 paragraph, 5 sentences long.


Your person must have a fault or disorder of some kind. The disorders must be legit. Not like "scared of the dark" or "smoker"


I mean like "Intermittent Explosive Disorder." Make sure your character keeps along to the symptoms and traits of the disorder.


There must be a cause. A good cause that usually triggers your disorder. It may also be from birth or hereditary.

Personality: Professional and very strong spoken. She has no problem reminding you who the boss is while belittling you and making you feel like a child. She's very nice and has no problem listening to people's problems. She was put in charge of this organization not just as the boss but also as a part of the experiment.


Fault: She has a bit of an anger issue when things don't go her way, she has no disorder because she's not part of the experiment.


Cause: She had a well structured life and everything within her control so when things don't turn out that way she reigns people in the only way she knows how, by getting angry and showing you who's boss and putting you in your place.


Backstory: Had a rich father who worked in the government, a stay at home mother, a little sister who loved her, a happy and normal life.

I like the character but maybe bipolar isn't the right disorder for her? My grandmother and my mother lives with bipolar disorder and it's not usually triggered by certain things. Maybe try Intermittent Explosive Disorder?

That sounds better, I only just could think of that and I'm writing some characters with IED, and I wanted to try something else. But sure, that's fine. Imma editt.

He met a nice girl, settled down at 25 and had a child a few months after. Because I want to put my DID kid(s - multiple personality disorder and all that) in here but I also want to put Jake in here because his brand of OCD (modelled after my own for the sake of accuracy) would be... interesting in a setting like this, to say the least. I'd also like to put Remy in here but I think he's a little too mildly disordered for this (kleptomania isn't too severe of a thing in general and certainly not in his case). But. Can I have two (three if you count the fact that one is a split personality) characters or is that not allowed?

Note, I'm putting in two applications, but am only applying for one person, or at the very least only for one person's body, as I am apping someone who has DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder) - a multipersonality disorder brought on by extreme trauma - and as such am writing a skelly for both personalities


Full Name: Samantha Chantel


Age: 26


Gender: Female


Date of Birth: June Fourteenth


Appearance:

(Samantha tends to dress much more simply than her sister and rarely stands out - whites and black and very little make up. She often wears her hair down or in a simple braid. She is, however, identical to Casi as they share the same body. She thinks that they are twins.)


Personality: Samantha suffers from a crippling case of agoraphobia and social anxiety. She has extreme trouble talking to others. She gets very nervous and choked up when in large groups or asked questions by strangers or near strangers (even ones as simple as "may I take your order?") and as such has become quite the introvert. She often gets so shy that she cannot continue to speak during conversations, and unless she knows someone very closely she has trouble speaking up around them at all. That being said, around her sister and a few very close friends who she has grown comfortable with she can behave normally without risk of panic attack. So, while it may be very difficult to talk to her at first, with enough care and work to get close to her and enough time to let her settle in with you being around, she can calm down and react fairly normally - even have a normal friendship or relationship with someone. You just have to be willing to put in the effort.


Withdrawn as she is, Samantha can be so polite that it's painful - rudeness tends to cause attention, but more than that her mother ingrained her with a very strict etiquette, which she has yet to shake. She also tends to have next to no backbone - people can push and pull and prod her into any direction they want with very little protest on her part. She'll do anything her parents (or most anyone else, for that matter) asks of her, and getting her to do what you want is usually just a matter of pressuring her and frightening her more than the person before you did.


When she is comfortable with someone she can speak at length about her passions - music and books, particularly fantasy. Being such a shy girl, Samantha's closest friends have always been the characters on the page, and she has an extensive library. She can go on for hours about her favourite books and characters, and often feels closer to fictional figures then she does people in her every day life. She can quite contentedly spend hours making up stories in her own head, and if someone were to offer to play a game of pretend with her chances are that, if she knew them well enough, she'd gladly accept despite being nearly twenty-seven.


As a musician, she can also happily go on about music of most if not all genres, though she speaks most eloquently about her own style, given that it's what she's studied for years and what she makes her life off of now.


She's also very picky about scents - because her mother has her own perfume line it's something she was brought up around, and something she has a very strong opinion about, if you you can only get her to speak up about it in the first place.


Fault: Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), Avoidant Personality Disorder (a disorder that commonly piggybacks with DID, though not as commonly as Borderline Personality Disorder, and which is often found in one of the two dominant personalities - it is often seen as extreme agoraphobia), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (often the disorder that causes DID to surface in the first place, which then takes a backseat role as DID contains and controls the affected brain)


Cause: Iatrogenic response to treatment for PTSD (reason for having PTSD to be revealed as the roleplay progresses - it's not mentioned here because neither half of the personality can remember what happened, and as such assume that nothing did)


Backstory: Samantha was born two minutes after her sister, Casi, to the slightly less rounded Clarissa Chantel. Clarissa would go on to take a look at the two newborn girls, and decide that perhaps motherhood wasn't her calling after all. She would hold them briefly in her arms before handing them to her husband and telling him she was tired and he really ought to have the nurse take them away. The next logical move was to hire a nanny, give her precise instructions on how the girls were to be dressed and how they were to behave (after all, they had to keep up the family name) and then visit her twin daughters only on special occasions and on once-weekly family meals. The girls father, on the other hand, would take one look at his newly birthed daughters and decide he loved them deeply and would likely never be able to refuse them a thing were it in his power to grant. Unfortunately, the one thing he was unable to grant them was time - a busy man, he was regularly called out of the country for meetings and other work related business. The only way he saw to make up for this was with lavish gifts and general spoilage which, while always nice, was never quite the father daughter time either girl sought after.


Growing up with such little parental contact usually leaves one with two main paths to venture down: You could be complacent and obedient, hoping that by acting like a model child the people who made you might decide to be model parents and actually spend time with you... or you could act out dramatically in the hopes that they'd come home if only to discipline you. While her sister took the route of the wild child, Samantha slid down the other slide, quietly doing whatever she was asked by her mother and withdrawing into herself more with each passing day. She behaved well and did as little to stir up trouble as possible, though Casi occasionally dragged her twin into the messes she created.


After years of home schooling by private tutors hired by their mother, both girls were sent off to the closest thing this world has to a proper finishing school in this day and age.


Going from a highly controlled at-home lifestyle to living on ones own suddenly was quite a shock for both girls. Casi took to her first taste of freedom like a fish to water, taking off into the world with a vow never to return to the caged home life she once lived. Samantha, on the other hand, found herself quite terrified of the prospect of living not only on her own, but surrounded by strangers she was expected to talk to and be friendly with. Outside of skating lessons, she'd never really know people beyond her nanny and tutors and her immediate family - during the lavish parties her mother had a penchant for throwing she'd hide herself away in the corner and hope that no ones son felt obliged (or, more likely, pressured by his parents or her parents or both) to ask her to dance. Now she was surrounded by people and had no idea how to cope. She panicked, and for the first time since birth she found herself completely inarticulate. From that point forward, Samantha drew herself into her shell and allowed only a select few in.


She finished school having made only one friend aside from her sister, a girl she would go on to a college of the arts with where she studied music for years before graduating and going off to being her career as a harpist. More endeared to her mother then Casi had ever been, and choosing a career more suitable to her status and her mother's idea of what a lady of their household should be doing before finding a suitable man, Samantha has gotten to continue to enjoy the benefits of her well to do upbringing.


After college Samantha moved from the comfort of her home to a flat furnished and paid for by her parents. There, she settled in comfortably, slowly building up her library to match the one she left behind at the house, paying for the books with the money she made performing (luckily enough she discovered that playing an instrument was enough distraction to help her handle a crowded room, and when you were playing with the concentration a harp required people rarely stopped to ask you questions if you were working in a hotel lobby, adding to the ambiance), and taking care of matters of food and utilities with the money her trust fund left to her.

(Casi looks identical to her sister because they are in the same body, but both girls believe they are twins. When Casi is in control she often dyes their hair and will sometimes cut it quite short - she can be recognised by her more boisterous attitude and her louder presence - she'll dress and act more present than Samantha who tends to be a bit of a wallflower. She prefers to have wilder hair styles and a more vibrant and attention grabbing outfits)


Personality: Casi can be a bit overwhelming at times - she's a very boisterous person, perhaps to balance out her twin's quiet nature. She's always been out there and rarely if ever hides her true opinion. Because of this she's (sometimes overly) honest with people - if you ask her how your dish tastes or if your dress washes you out she'll tell you what she really thinks, even if it's not what you want to hear. She figures it's better to hear the truth from a friend then it is from a critic. She tends to be very friendly when she's not working, the very first to bring out the welcome wagon even when it's unwanted. That being said, when she's working she can get very focused and territorial. If you're near her counter beware, she has no problem snapping at you to get out of the way, even though she's not at all that way normally. She's equally territorial about her kitchen at home (you do not go in there without an invitation), though thankfully this hasn't fully transferred to work - she'll just not let you touch her cutting board, knives and the like when she's using them.


She desperately wants to open her own restaurant some day and as such has quite the drive when she's at work. Originally having studied to be a pastry chef, if there's a lull during service she's likely to make a number of new pastry and dessert recipes she's been thinking of and force anyone who comes back into the kitchen to try it and tell her what they think.


She's basically Samantha's polar opposite

After years of trying to tame her wild child (and trying to groom her calmer, quieter one) with tutors and nannies, Clarissa decided that perhaps a finishing school would be better for them and she had her daughters shipped off to an all girls boarding school. Against all expectations, home economics was the class Casi really shined in. She went on to graduate and go into a culinary arts programme at Le Courdon Bleu in France, and then a brief internship in Italy where she refined her skills both as chef and pastry artist (her special interests lying in the area of cakes and pastries, but her general education requiring her to learn all areas of the culinary art).


Her mother never believed that being a chef was a ladies job - cooking a single dish for a dinner party, yes, working long hours in a kitchen, no - and forbid the girls father from helping Casi in the pursuit of her dream of opening a restaurant. Cut off until she agrees to go back to her mother and the "proper" society of the ridiculously wealthy, Casi started out working for a few different restaurants all to once, leaving her very little time for a social life. Working this way she saved up for roughly a year before she could save up enough to start up her own catering business (with more than a little help from Daddy dearest, but shh, don't tell mum!). Casi moved in with her sister as soon as they both finished school, given that Samantha really needed someone to help her out anyway (after all, who else would answer the phone, given Samantha's crushing agoraphobia and severe social anxiety as a whole). She's been running the catering business for years now, saving up every penny in the hopes of one day being able to buy her own restaurant.


Okay. So that's my first (two part) App, and for the other character I'm applying for....


Full Name: Jacob 'Jake' Masters

Appearance:

(Jake tends to wear all white, all black, or an absolutely horrendous combination of every other colour that has ever existed ever. There is no in between. It's really rather horrifying.)


Personality: Jake is, to say the least, anal. He is ruled by his disorders, and will often take hours to get out of the house because he has to complete a lengthy ritual before he can comfortably leave without having a panic attack. That is, if he leaves the house, which he rarely does due to his fear of catching some rare disease. And believe me, he knows all about rare diseases - because he works as a virologist he's hyper aware of anything and everything he could possibly catch, the symptoms involved, and exactly how long it will take him to die once he's caught it. He tends to be highly fidgety and paranoid, and has to repeat all physical actions twice or he'll set into a panic, though he doesn't need to repeat words/phrases/etc.. Just physical mannerisms.


Other than that, he really likes comedies and thinks that he's funny. He's not. He tries to be, but he's really, really not. If you laugh anyway he'll probably love you forever.


Fault: Extreme OCD (pattern based) and germaphobia, he's also a hypochondriac.


Cause: He was born with the OCD (it can be a hereditary trait, and both he and his brother have it, and got it from their mother) but stress has caused it to go to extreme levels. He developed his germaphobia as he went through medical school, which is also where his hypochondria first surfaced, as it does in most med students.


Backstory: I am... so lazy after typing up Casi and Sam's stuff so... Basically he was born. His brother was born a year after him. He went to school like most normal kids, went to college... went to medical school and learned every disease it was possible to catch and what they'd do to you.... became a virologist and specialised in said diseases, and slowly started sinking further and further into his little OCD world.


His OCD is modelled after my own, though at a significantly higher level. He refuses to be medicated.
