You know, you don't have to live in the orphanage. You can just come and live in the forest then. It's actually really safe. I can assure you that. Charlie said, pulling out her knife and smiling before putting it back. There is no reason to be a horse during then concert either. Sometimes I just walk on the streets as a monkey, do a little dance and stuff, then people throw cash at me. They think I'm someone's pet.

"Well I can't live in my mom's house since she's dead and minors can't live on their own," Syndric said. "Plus I'm going to school and it'd be hard to explain why I live in a forest instead of in the orphanage. I like being in my horse form. I sneak out every morning before school to run in the meadow on the outskirts of town. It's great and nobody ever goes there in the hours leading up to sunrise so it's nice and quiet. But I have to be there in my horse form. I think some other kids from the orphanage might be going and the matron doesn't like me so I'm caught there then I'll get in trouble." @Puggie

That's true. I am only fifteen but whatever. I pretty much taught myself so I'm done. I like to build and stuff like that so yeah. I made that knife I showed you. I could teach you sometime if you like. If I haven't told you already, I live in the tree in the forest that has a monkey carved into it. So anyway I'll see you later Syndric. Charlie passed him a few dollars from her satchel. Here, keep these. They'll probably come into more use for you than me. She then started to walk off towards the woods.

Syndric stared after the monkey before continuing to wander aimlessly around town. She certainly likes to talk, Syndric thought wryly to himself. Deciding he needed some sleep, Syndric went back to the orphanage he lived in and snuck back up the wall to his room before closing the window and going to sleep even though in a few hours he'd be woken for chores around the orphanage. Luckily he'd gotten all his homework done yesterday so didn't need to worry about that.

"If you're sure. I don't know a lot about healing what with my mother being a tiger and all," Enya said.

Shito continued to nod "oh, it's nothing too bad..." She said trailing off and looking away, still blushing as she glanced down at her stomach briefly and then back at Enya, thinking back to the huntresses words. @eclipsehowls

Enya nodded, stroking one of her cheetahs. "Well if you need to go into town you can," she said. "Like if you need a doctor or something." @TheHappyPikachu


(Anybody want to skip ahead to the concert so the others can meet the horse and the monkey?)

As people gathered in the field near the mountains a light bay stallion stood within the darkness on a mountain ridge. Night had fallen and the stallion was high enough to hear the music as well being too high for human eyes to see him. The first performer was Hanson and while the stallion thought that they could picked somebody better to start the concert off with, he was happy to be out here. He had cut through a narrow part of the forest and had shifted when he'd scented a pack of wolves in the area.

Liz scanned the town but couldn't find any Zodiacs. As she made her way back, she found an injured rabbit and took it with her. "Hey guys? Have you got any water?" She said, holding up the little rabbit.

 

[Spice]

Charlie prepared herself for the concert, which was pretty much just unloading her bag of most weapons, all but her dagger. She had made sure to hide it in one of the secret compartments in her bag where it wouldn't be noticed. Then she just set off, swinging by the trees, all the way to the concert.


When she got there, they did the regular bag check and whatever then she was able to go in. Almost immediately she could hear the music blaring and smell a slight scent of horse. She looked over to the mountains and with her great sight, she could make out the outline of a horse. She smiled then jumped out of her seat and ran to the where the figure stood, passing everyone at a high speed and jumping over the barrier and was soon next to the horse.


Hey Syndric! Long time no see. She laughed. What do you think of the concert?

Syndric snorted as Charlie came up to him. "They could have chosen somebody other than Hanson to open up the concert," he said disgruntled. "Hopefully they don't choose Hanson to close the concert as well. Sniffing the air he shook his head, his mane shaking on his neck. "I haven't smelt anymore like us. In fact I was alone here until you spotted me and came up here but it seems the perfect place to hide in Zodiac form," he said. "Hope the concert starts soon, it's boring standing up here and watching the clueless mortals come in and take up standing positions in front of the stage." @Puggie

Enya looked up as Liz came back with an injured rabbit and asked about water. "Yeah there's water right here," Enya said holding up a second bucket that she'd taken down to the river to fill along with the bucket that one of her felines had given Liz and Jakob after they'd killed the hunters. She hissed to a few of the cubs who were lounging around her. "So hear anything interesting on your stay in town?" she asked. @NightCasterZ

"All I heard was blaring music..." She sighed as she sat down the injured rabbit, wrapping a bandage around it's fluffy leg. The rabbit winced slightly but relaxed and drunk some water.

 

[Spice]

True, true. I haven't smelt any others either, not even in the forest. The only reason I could find you from down there was one, I could faintly smell your scent, and two, my very good eyesight. Charlie ran her fingers through his mane. I wonder when we'll get to meet any others. So far I've only met you. She looked back over to the stage. I don't know why they won't start. They did have everything set up already.

"Blaring music. Must be one of those human outdoor events," Enya said rubbing at her ears at just the thought. "Were they close to the forest and ruins or could you not tell?" @NightCasterZ

"Unsure. I'm pretty sure it wasn't though." She stated a he stroked the delicate rabbit.

Syndric stamped a hoof on the ground and nickered. "I don't know. Maybe they're waiting for all the humans to come in that are going to come to the concert before they start," Syndric said. He tossed his head as an ear caught Charlie's asking about Zodiacs. "Not sure. Maybe we're the only Zodiacs around here." @Puggie

"Good. Otherwise we'd have to move as there would be a lot of dead bodies lying around by sunup," Enya said.

 

[NightCasterZ]

Liz smiled before sighing. "Hello, little rabbit." She said in a playful, high pitched voice. The rabbit lifted it's head and bounced around happily.

"Well I'm not going. Don't do well in crowds," Enya said. "Anybody else can go if they like that kind of thing," she said to the group before going off to patrol the ruins.

Shito sighed, happy that Liz had come back and changed the topic before she could..accidently reveal something "hey, Liz..." she said getting up slowly and dusting her hands off and gave her a warm smile "so..." she said, looking away from the rabbit in an attempt to resist wanting to eat it..being a cat and all.


Suddenly someone jumped out from the bushes and pulled her away, tugging her along for a bit "big sis!" the 3 small children called happily, Shito sighed "really you guys?..The orphanage is going to have your heads if they found out that you snuck out and went into the forrest at that!" she said quietly, hoping Enya wouldn't come and here them "and for the last time..I'm not your sister..so don't call me that!" she said crossing her arms stubbornly "fine!" the kids all said laughing, suddenly another figure emerged, this one had a cold glare and long, raven black hair as she strode over to Shito, the children suddenly ran over to her, looking as though they were about to cry "please! we got her for you!..so...so don't hurt her! you promised you wouldn't!-" she slapped the children away "annoying brats..." they ran off and th woman grabbed Shito dragon her around until the blaring music could be heard in her ears and was not far off, but some of the ruins were still in sight through the trees.


"wha-what do you want!" Shito yelled, fear in her voice "nothin' much...just to punish you a little for running away..." she said smirking before throwing Shito down and started un-mercilessly hitting her "Stupid! Child!" she yelled, Shito had tears in her eyes... she couldn't use her powers on her...she was frozen.. but that wasn't what was bugging her as she began to get bruised, what bugged her. was the fact that she was protecting her stomach the whole time, her arms wrapped around it tightly. @NightCasterZ @eclipsehowls @galaxyflames @Puggie

Enya was patrolling the other side of the ruins, talking with some of her felines who were on guard duty about doubling the guard around the ruins when a loud slap echoed through the clearing that the ruins were in. Pausing Enya sniffed the air and caught three scents: Shito, Fear, Human. Snarling she let out a roar for some of her cats to guard the humans and ran back to where she had left Shito to try to pick up the cat cousin's trail.

 

[Cosmos]

The figure's eyes seemed slightly insane as she kept grinning whilst titian Shito "Idiot child! it's all your fault!!" she yelled, Shito by this point had tears running down her face, too scared to move or unwrap her arms enough to get away. @eclipsehowls

Syndric was watching the last of the humans trickle in and nickered to Charlie. "It's starting soon. I've been waiting for for three hours for this to start. The line to get in was long," he said. The fact that Charlie was playing with his mane didn't bother the stallion much. It was nice having company. He usually kept to himself in the orphanage. He was about to say something else when his ears pricked forward and he thought he heard what sounded like hitting. "Charlie do you hear that?" he nickered and sniffed the air. "I smell...humans...cat?" he wondered. @Puggie

Enya found the scent but also found three other human scents as well and snarled. Deciding to deal with the other three humans later she trailed after Shito silently, wondering why she was with a human. Hissing she ran quickly through the forest, hearing sounds of music and also crying and sounds of fists hitting flesh. Remembering that sound from when she had almost been captured by humans, she jumped into a tree and disappeared up it before creeping along a bough overhanging the meadow. Looking down she saw Shito and some human hitting her. Drawing her lips back she licked her fangs and let a drop of saliva drop onto the human's head. The leaves of the tree and her stripes hid her from view of the human. @TheHappyPikachu

The figure stopped for a moment as the saliva hit her head but then continued to hit Shito "so!? you have some other filthy friends!? where are they!?" she yelled, Shito shook her head as she sensed Enya "h-help...me...please....I need to protect..them.." she muttered, the girl gave no response to this as Shito fell to the ground, arms clutching her stomach as the figure began to kick her. @eclipsehowls @galaxyflames
