Chrysanthemum, an infamous place, well known across the world as one of, if not the ONLY city on Terraskin, a hostile, unforgiving, and brutal world known equally as well for its terrifying beasts, as it is its unfathomably beautiful landscapes and valleys, the deep crevasses and caverns that have garnered their magical properties left unexplored by those with the ability, or care to record or take what may be beneath.

And yet, on top of what many view as an insurmountable slope of not if they will live their full age, but when nature will come for them, the beacon of safety that is chrysanthemum lies in patient wait, as a pair of open arms for all who choose to come into its hold. A place where all humanoids can thrive and seemingly do as they please without restraint or worry of the dangers of the outside world...
Until they walk in.

A one way window, Chrysanthemum DOES promise absolute safety, but only under the restraint of laws many, restricting many things, from the magic many use in their day to day, to what things one can walk with at any time, to even making leaving an arduous task requiring potentially years of paperwork and permits. Many generations have grown old and died within Chrysanthemum, but with each death, new laws mount, more esoteric restrictions baring people from what should be their right to be happy.

Anger mounts the masses.
Rumors of government experimentation.
The people grow restless.
The soldiers now walk the streets, YOUR streets.
They desire what their ancestors had.
fear is the protector, no longer peace.

Humanoids seek their future, raise their hands, and in the name of rebellion, wield their magic against forces unknown to reclaim what is rightfully theirs. United, they are strong. They are many, and capable, but so are their oppressors, more well equipped, more adept with their magics, and far more unified than the people could ever dream. Every move is watched, every locale planned to their advantage. Power, water, and food are under their command, and their at their command to strip from the peoples hands to quiet them. They need help, and thats where You come in. Their hopes rest on your shoulders to go out and beyond, to find a power formidable enough to topple their oppressors from beneath, so get ready to leave the eye of the storm!

Get ready to enter the world of Terraskin, where magic is more than abundant in every single field, every creature, and every person you meet! everything in this world can be found to be very in tune to magic and be able to tap into its qualities in some way! so in tune with it are these people that magical energy itself has become a currency! with 12 'elements' at your disposal and a choice of 2 of them for your character, the possibilities what can and cant be done is only dependant on your strength and knowledge.

Magic, being around since the very beginning, has given rise to multiple races of unusual folk! as you make a character, you will have the opportunity to choose one of these various races, and will get the opportunity to encounter more than your fair share as you search for what you need to make your goals a possibility! Choose between human, angel, mothkin, dragonfaux, slimefolk, fungis, rabbitons, and even two different types of sentient automata: droids and mecha!

This intrinsic tie of life and magic have given way to shocking technologies that would not be possible without it, or at a very minimum, very difficult. things including long range cell phones and digital communication, teleportation machines, alchemy-induced automation, work forces of the dead, and even sentient automata are possible. with this has also come about the advent of high powered weaponry. magic guns, or magicannons, are state of the art weapons that, with canisters filled with magic, can fire incredibly high speed and powered blasts of pure magic, or magic-imbued physical ammunition as a handheld option. Or, in extreme cases, weapons of much more significant power, such as high powered lasers and magic-centered explosives can be utilized. Of course, the power of close range weaponry, with the potential to carry the power to punch magic and armor alike. some may even see themselves accessing the exclusive power of Anti-magic in the future, should they fall down the right path...

Of course, dont think youll be able to go and do this all on your own. even with all this at your disposal, your chances of survival against your oppressors wont be high. You'll need help, and i assure you, in many corners of the world you'll find it, from the elemental dragons, effectively gods of their respective elements, small towns and villages with hidden secrets or companions that will assist you in your journey in exchange for various items, or weak points that'll turn your opponents up on their head.

All of this, of course, culminates in the eventual dismantling of your so-called 'protectors', O.R.D.E.R., and their leader, Lysander. You'll get the opportunity to choose between letting those you defeat remain alive, or deserve the sentence of death for siding with your oppressors. each choice will have its consequences, and alter how the story might play out!
And trust me, i plan for conflict to arise in those choices

Currently this is just a fairly surface level interest check! by the time i commit myself to recruitment or anything of the sort, i will have a lore page up, with a solid amount of information to start off with

However, as things progress, i want to focus on exploration and discovery, as such, the lore page will expand progressively over time as new things are discovered.โ€‹

Literacy: casual - advanced; at least 3 paragraphs with 3-4 sentences each per message sent.
Commitment: post as desired. as long as you can strike the literacy limit, youre good. barest minimum, send a post a month. gone for a month, and your character will be considered to have left/abandoned the party, or have died in combat, depending on situation.
Character limit: 1 main character per user (subject to change later), side characters can be created as desired.โ€‹
