The Wolf And The Dove

Anath yes, wasn't your average bad boy. He wasn't the lazy jock strong enough to make others do what he wanted while he got drunk and slept around during the weekend. No, Anath was actually rather smart and got straight A's almost all by himself. He usually did get them himself but honestly, why write every single report on his own when he recently required a lap dog who could do it for him? This lap dog was also rather smart himself, smart enough to hack into a few computer systems and change a few of his grades. Too bad it didn't go unnoticed.

Strolling through the school, Anath had a certain presence about him. The kind that was often, dark and intimidating without Anath being a directly mean guy. But he was differently not someone to take lightly, not someone to turn a shoulder against, and NOT someone to be ignored.

It was lunch, and even though Anath himself he was strolling through the lunch room, searching for someone he did. Eyes slipping over the mass of prideful, loud, bombastic teenagers he finally caught a glimpse of white. Ah, there he was.

Strolling over Anath slung a loose arm over the small shoulders and leaned in close.

" Hey there dog" Not in a brotherly way.

" So listen. I was reading over this report about ancient Egypt and I am afraid it just doens't sound like me." Anat inform and he slapped a 4 page packet in front of Kaia.

" So Imma ganna need you to re-write it for me aight? And before tomorrow." Was Anath drunk on power? Perhaps a little.

Kaia wasn't a bad kid. He did some bad things, and he guessed it was some kind of karma that had him in the position he was in now: Personal lap dog for one of the most intimidating boys in the entire school. Anath found out about his little hacking scheme and used it to his personal advantage, keeping Kaia under his thumb lest he be ratted out and very likely expelled from the school entirely.

Kaia internally cringed when he felt a slender arm come around his shoulders, resisting the urge to let out a frustrated groan. He knew exactly who was whispering in his ear, the voice of his blackmailer sending chills down his spine.

"Anath.." He mumbled in a half-greeting. The teen set down the peanut butter and banana sandwich he was eating, licking his lips as his gaze swept over the paper slapped in front of him.

"But...it's done. Why does it need to be rewritten?" Kaia countered, trying not to sound too defiant but also trying to keep his ground.

Poor kid. But if you're ganna hack the school system you need to make sure to re-write to codes or the original codes could still be located. Honestly that was his true problem. Oh yea, it was also a shame that Anath found out. Though Anath wasn't necessarily mean, he was a jerk. Which was, in his mind two different things. While he was not emotionally damaging, he was rather demanding, and a little physically pushy. He didn't feel the need to call names or punch smaller kids, mostly because he did't need to. Most of his power was in the fact that he could and just danced around doing it without really damaging anyone in the long term.

" Well, like I mention a moment ago, you may recall, it just doesn't
sound like me. So you are ganna re-write it tonight and I will get it from you tomorrow morning." Reaching his long arm around from the boys shoulder, he snatched up the half eaten sandwich. Anath wasn't really a germaphobe. Taking the sandwich he turned and released Kaia from his torment for now.

" See you tomorrow" Yes, it would be a bit of a struggle, but how Anath saw it was it would help his work ethic in the far future, that and if Kaia was doing it he wouldn't have to do it. The fact was in Anath spilled the beans about the boys hacking abilities, not only would he be suspended but he would most likely lose collage grands and it would also keep him from being accepted into any good universities. Anath sure knew it well. But if he showed up tomorrow morning and Kaia could't finish the task, Anath wouldn't up and tell on him, but there would certainly be a few consequences.

Yes, 'a jerk' seemed about right.

Kaia was practically a little boiling bubble of rage when he watched Anath retreat away from him. And with his sandwich too. It was times like these that he could kick himself for not being more careful with his hacking skills and coding, because obviously he made it so Anath was able to trace it back to him which about sent everything to hell for Kaia. With Anath hounding him day and night, he had twice as much work to do and the stress and fear of Anath leaking out his secrets.

With an idea in mind, Kaia left the cafeteria without so much as a glance at his tormentor, the only indictation he was upset the crumpled up paper in his hands.

~

Oh, Kaia delivered that paper to Anath the next morning. When he finally located him in the hall he handed it to him all typed out and on crisp, clean paper with a smile on his delicate lips. His expression was nothing but a joke, honestly. The paper he was giving to Anath was more or less a revised version of his old one, no new information or anything on that spectrum, just some clever re-wording and different sentence placement.

"I'm sure this will sound much more 'like you'." Kaia announced as he waved the essay at him, waiting for him to take it off his hands. "Because that's all you wanted, right?" Playing with fire he may be, but he technically did as asked. And on top of his own homework he didn't have time to write a whole new paper.

Anath had been chatting with a few of his friends when the flash of white caught his attention. Turning he found his lap dog waving a piece of paper before him, announcing that this revised version should sound more like him. Oh this was ganna be good.

Snatching the paper away from Kaia, Anath turned and begun to read it, his mouth lightly moving as he read silently. After only a few sentences a small smile begun to tug at his lips before he let out barking.

"Ha!" Then turning to one of his friends named Tod he handed it over to him.

" Hey read some of this." Tod accepting the small packet and begun to read it himself, before he begun to lightly laugh.

" Anath! This guy almost sounds like you. A little bit of a jack ass, a little full of himself." Anath completely amused by the paper took it back from his friend. Now his friends knew that Anath had something on Kaia, but they weren't sure what. It was no secret though that they at times, in their own group, joked about the fact that Kaia had to do all of this dumb things for Anath. Yes, he was a bit of a jerk.

Turning back towards Kaia, he slung a long arm over his shoulder once more and pulled him close, lightly pressing the packet into his chest.

" I am afraid though Kaia, last night I was seriously doubting your ability to re-work this assignment, so I wrote it myself." It really sucks when the bad guy isn't the dumb jock huh? Because Anath being actually a very smart kid, was able to write his own paper in just a few hours and still stay up to watch some Invader Zim.

" Tough luck huh Kaia? Well at least next time I know you can handle something at last minute. So tell you what, why don't you keep this little work of art and I turn in the paper I wrote myself. But hey it was some good practice right?" Anath leaned back up away from him and pushed his hands into his coat pockets as the small group of friends chuckled in the background. Yes. Anath had a skill at keeping people under his thumb.

Kaia could felt sweat beginning to bead at the back of his neck the longer Anath took to read it, fearing for the worst. It was impossible not to when the man before him practically held his future in his hands. He watched quietly in horror as he passed it around, the small feeling of pride by no means outweighing the feeling of impending doom.

And that feeling was only solidified when Anath slung an arm around his shoulders, planting the paper he wrote against his chest. His mouth fell open in shock, having been out-witted by his bully yet again. And here he thought he'd finally one-upped him.

Kaia was unbelievably agitated by this, his jaw locking as he crumpled the paper up in his fists, resisting the urge to completely shred it. He then went up to Anath and jammed the rumpled essay into his pocket.

"I think I'll let you keep it, we all know that you're self-centered enough to want to re-read the work that captures your essence so perfectly." The white-haired teen cooed. Just because he was Anath's personal lap dog didn't mean he couldn't mouth off to him as long as he followed his rules.

"oooooo" Came a small coo in the back as the friends of Anath braced themselves playfully for how ever Anath would respond. Not Anath was not an angry person, and he often didn't react out of anger. You would not likely see him shove someone out of the way, or knock books our of hands, but Anath had his own way of doing things. A cruel smile pulled over the teens lips, one that could sent radiating tension.

" You know, I kinda liked that sandwich you had the other day, and frankly I just didn't have anything planned for lunch. So today, during lunch you will bring me
your lunch, and hand it to me in front of anyone who is paying attention. Just so there is no confusion about what is going on between us. And by 12:45, if I don't see you, well the conversation between me and my buds is going to be a liiiitttle more interesting. Also, I have some extra laundry that won't get done tonight... mostly because I am going to be eating and playing Halo, so Imma ganna pick you up after school and you will do my laundry for me. K? Thanks. You'ra doll." There was not the quiet sound of snickering behind Anath as his friends whispered stuff like 'ssshiiit', and 'that's cold'. Anath then reached in his pocket and handed the crumpled up pieces of paper back to Kaia.

" And why don't you be a hun and throw this away for me. kthanks."

Kaia swallowed thickly, a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach as the group around them cooed at what he'd done. His eyes nearly bugged out of his pretty little head when it was practically demanded of him that he brought Anath his lunch, only left sputtering, "I have something different today..." Not that that would change anything, Anath would still probably demand his lunch and spit it back in his face if he didn't like it. But it worried him too much what Anath would say about him if he didn't show.

Now what really caught him off guard? Being told he had to go to Anath's house and do his laundry. "Last time I checked I wasn't your maid, Anath. Papers are one thing, but..." He said quietly, finding the crumpled paper back in his hands as he looked up at the other male. Kaia knew it was no use and ran a hand through his hair, sighing heavily and lowering his head in submission.

"I'll see you at lunch." Kaia said through gritted teeth, a little disappointed that he'd have to eat cafeteria food while Anath ate his food.

Anath's face seemed to have relaxed. Wait. Had it gone stern? Yes, the muscles in his face had flexed and his lips had pushed into a thin line, of course they may not have been noticed until his features relaxed. Anath had, for a moment, felt rather irritated with Kaia, but in the end, Kaia did right by himself and submitted. It would only be as bad as he made it. Anath did't like to be ignored.

A lighter smile touched the taller males face as he lightly reached out and patted the smaller students shoulder.

" Wonderful. I will see you then." Shoving his hands back into his pockets he turned from Kaia and focused his attention back on his friends.

12:30, lunch. Anath and his friends sat at a round table near the window. Anath actually really liked the sun and often ate outside, but today he would eat inside just to make it that much more uncomfortable for poor Kaia. Honestly how did he think Anath would react?

He sat leaned back against a wall that was near the table and chatted pleasantly with his friends.

Kaia walked with his head down into the cafeteria, his brown-bagged lunch clutched tightly in his fist. With pursed lips he weaved his way through the crowd, trying to keep himself discreet as possible. He didn't want to attract more attention to himself than absolutely necessary, especially considering the amount of friends that boy had.

When he found Anath, he walked up to him, holding out what used to be his lunch with cheeks tinted pink in embarrassment. He couldn't believe how mortifying this was, he felt like he was Anath's little girlfriend dutifully delivering him his favorite lunch. And unfortunately that's probably what it looked like.

"I hope you like Nutella and pretzels." Kaia said bitterly in a mock-sweet tone, shoving the bag against his chest with no gentleness whatsoever. He could feel eyes on him already and he just wanted to crawl under a rock.

The table of chatting boys grew quiet as the shame ridden student walked through the cafeteria towards them. By the time he had gotten to them the entire table was silent, everyone staring at him.

After being 'handed' the bag Anath sat it on the table.

" Wow Kaia, how thoughtful of you." He spoke in a normal tone, which was often soft and casual, but still loud enough for a few around the room to hear. He certainly wasn't trying to keep quiet.

" I really like Nutella, and pretzels. How fun! You sure were thoughtful bringing me your lunch."

" What the shit is this about?" One of the guys at the tables asked his friend in a hushed tone. It was clear that questions were being muttered about the table, and ten there were the few that knew who took this time to chuckle among themselves.

Anath lifted his eyes, giving the boy a coy smile.

" I will see you after school." Anath was rather simple, but still very cruel at the same time. He certainly knew how to play the game.

((Thank you!))

If Kaia could, he would've punched the other student square in the jaw, but he knew how badly that would end for himself. He was speaking loud enough for several people around them to hear and Kaia's ears grew red in response, both angered and extremely embarrassed at this point.

"What are you trying to do here?" He whispered under his breath, turning his head to gaze around at those sitting close. He wanted to know what the point of this was, in what way he was trying to humiliate him. Whether or not he got an answer he started backing away.

"I'll see you after school. If you're late picking me up I'm going home," Kaia warned before he left.

Anath lifted his eyebrows up to the spunky young marshmallow but didn't respond.

"Feisty" He muttered halfheartedly as Kaia begun to walk away. Honestly, Kaia just continued to dig himself a bigger whole. The fact was every time he talked back or was rude, well Anath would have to put him right back in his place. And the school year only had three months left. The guy could last three months, no problem, as long as he kept his attitude under control. Anath wasn't evil, but he did like to have a certain kind of control, one he often got. Anath was used to getting what he wanted but wasn't above getting his hands dirty to get it.

______________________________________________________________________

After school, Anath waited outside the double doors, hands stuffed in his pockets as he stared at the clouds. Clouds were so interesting and pretty. He enjoyed nature much more than you might expect a computer hacking, blackmailing, bad boy to like.

Honesty if Kaia wasn't a little feisty he was sure he'd go crazy. It was hard to constantly do someone else's bidding because of what they had over you.

When school came to an end Kaia walked out the front doors to find Anath waiting right outside for him. Kaia wished he could just walk past him like he didn't exist, but that wouldn't end well for him. Anath would just make his life even more hellish.

"Hey." He greeted half-heartedly, looking up at his tormentor. "So I guess humiliating me at lunch wasn't enough for you today?" Kaia asked mock-conversationally, crossing his arms over his chest.

Anath gave a light shrug

" Nope. Come along now Fido." Anath guided the boy to the schools parking lot where his car waited.
http://images.gizmag.com/inline/100-most-expensive-cars-of-all-time-1647.png. Now only was this villain smart, popular and not bad looking, he was also rich. A shame huh? Doesn't it just stink when the bad guy gets it all? Well Anath had never really been inspired by money but that didn't mean he didn't love his car.

Taking his keys out o his pocket he pressed the automatic unlock which gave a pleasant 'click' in response.

" Hop it and don't forget to buckle up." Anath said simply as he opened his own door and slid in, throwing his backpack in the back seat.

(sorry I am not good at coding. I was trying to add a spoiler or something but it wasn't working)

"You know what my name is. It's Kaia. I know I don't have a collar, but I'm pretty sure you can remember my name." The white haired teen snapped back at him, his hands going to his hood and pulling it up. The last thing he wanted was for people to see him going home with Anath. The incident at lunch was bad enough.

Kaia deadpanned when he saw Anath's car. Of course the guy had a nice car on top of everything else. Obviously he had money, so couldnt he just pay a guy to run around and do everything for him?

When he got in the car he buckled himself in, turning his head to face out the window. "Nice car. I'm guessing you're pretty well off, so why is it that you want to eat my peanut butter and banana sandwiches at lunch?"

(No big deal, I got to see the picture just fine~ I also posted my character in White Wolf)

Anath lightly chuckled at the boys 'collar' remark.

" Well I am sure that can be arranged. But hey, I love nicknames. I have always wanted people to call me Ace. So if you call me that I certainly would't be offended." He threatened lightly as he buckled himself in and pushed his keys into the ignition.

" Meh, my dad owns a law firm or whatever. So yea I got some extra cash" Aaths image was not at all based on his wealth, in fact money meant very little to him.

Turning the key, Anath started the car and put it into gear before starting to pull into the school.

" It looked good. I wanted it, so I took it. It seems pretty black and white to me."

( Awsome. Thank you. I believe in us! )

"I only give nicknames to people I like. Sorry." Kaia remarked dully, looking out the window as he played with the strings of his hoodie. He had no desire to call Anath anything other than 'asshole' really.

"You know what seems pretty much black and white to me? How much of an asshole you are." Yes, Kaia planned to be a total little bundle of joy while they were together that day.

He turned his head to squint skeptically at Anath. "Why did you have to make it a public display? You could've just taken my lunch, you didn't have to make me deliver it to you on a silver platter like I'm your little pet."

(would you like me to begin? Or would you?)

Anath had pulled into the road and at first let Kaia go on his little rant, but during the end he was getting a little tired of all of the complaining. The car suddenly earched to the side and with mad driving skills went to the side of the road before halting to a full stop. Shoving the clutch into park Anath turned while lifting an arm to rest on the back of his chair.

Anath then begun to talk to Kaia, his voice starting off rather casual and calm but as he progressed became much sterner and much more sever holding tight threatening tones.

" Listen kiddo. I am
reaaaallly starting to get tired of all of this back talk. Now I am a big boy and can handle your little fits but what I don't like is being disrespected. And to be honest I don't feel like you have a very healthy fear of me, which is too bad because that is something you need. Am I a good guy? Not really. Is this a good situation? Nope. Is the big bad mean guy ganna pay? I am sure I will sometime but right now I am going to need you to shut the fuck up or I am getting on the phone and dialing the school right now. I have been rather nice to you comparatively, trust me, but all of that can quickly end an you can find out why the TJ the top running back in the school cleans my car every Friday and calls me Ace." There was a short silence, Anaths gaze staring sharply at Kaia, daring him to say one more word.

" Got that?"

( I posted in it )

Kaia lurched forward when Anath suddenly pulled onto the side of the road, turning his head to glare at the teen beside him. When he lifted the arm rest and his tone became more stern the white haired boy shrunk away from him, pressing back against the door as much as he could.

His lips pursed tightly as his hand clutched the door handle, ready to make a run for it should things go really bad. He didn't trust Anath one bit, but he wouldn't actually run, not when his entire future was at stake. It took him everything he had to nearly whisper evenly, "Got it."

He wanted to know what happened between Anath and TJ though, and didn't really care if this wasn't the right time or if he'd get an actual answer. He let the silence drag on for anther movement before finally asking. "Are you going to tell me what happened with you and TJ?"

Anath could see the anxiety twist up in the boys face, his mind scrambling to keep up with Anaths anger. Honestly, if he decided to run he wouldn't make it very far.

Anath waited patiently, letting it all soak in as Kaia thought about what was said. Finally, after a bit of a silence Kaia pulled together the courage to respond. Good. But then, decided to ask a question.

" Just like what's going on between me and you, it's between me and him and none of your damn little business. Now am I going to have to actually get angry or are you going to keep that mouth of yours shut?" Anath questioned, leaving no room for defiance.

Kaia visibly flinched when Anath snapped at him to stay out of their business. He guessed that was fair, but he didn't expext someone as venomous as Anath would care for privacy.

"I'm going to keep my mouth shut." Kaia murmured obediently, his tone begrudging as he ducked his head and averted his gaze. He has an unfathomable amount of fear and loathing for Anath, but to keep his secret safe he had to be a good little lap dog and do as he said. He hated it.

Anath let out a calming breath before turning his attention back forward and putting his car back into gear.

" Good." He stated simply before smoothly pulling back intro traffic. There was a long silence. Anath didn't say anything else to torment Kaia and in fact didn't even spare him a glance. It wasn't until he pulled into a drive through and up to a speaker when he finally broke the silence.

Opening the window Anath leaned an arm out of it, resting slightly forward so his voice could be heard when it was time to order.

" What can I get you today sir?"

" Yea I'll take a 'meat lovers' and a-" He then paused, looking over at Kaia.

" So watcha want? Just pepperoni or what? You're not a vegan right?" Anath asked rather casually.

Kaia tried not to focus too much on the silence of the car. He assumed this meant that he'd really upset Anath now considering he didn't do anything to even acknowledge Kaia's presence at this point.

He was genuinely surprised when Anath asked him what he wanted from the fast food joint. He thought the guy was just going to continue pretending he wasn't even there.

Kaia's head snapped up. "Oh, uh, I like Hawaiian..." He said sheepishly, fumbling in his pocket for money. Even though he's stolen his lunch twice in a row, Kaia felt like he was really walking on glass and wasn't going to make Anath pay.
