Before Hogwarts: Rhiannon's parents have always struggled for money, but have attempted to give their children the best they can. Despite not always having the latest clothing or gadgets, and occasionally going cold in winter months, Rhian had a relatively happy early childhood. Her physical problems held her back somewhat, and she has often experienced alienation because of them, but somehow she's always overcome that feeling - she prefers to be happy about the good things. Due to her condition, she has a level of caution that matches her level of curiosity - and her father gave her the nickname of pigeon from a young age, affectionately of course. During one physiotherapy session when she was six, Rhian became extremely frustrated at not being get up from the floor unassisted due to the stiffness in her legs. When she had started crying, the treatment room's lightbulbs shattered. Of course, everyone assumed it had been some sort of power surge. However, these strange occurrences kept repeating during moments of extreme emotion. Her brothers had also started becoming associated with un-explainable moments.

Thankfully, while Rhian was still young, the couple were approached by a wizarding official who explained the entire situation (including some background into the wizarding world, particularly its recent history and the assurance that everything was okay now), and that she was enrolled into Hogwarts. This came as an initial shock to the parents, but Owen remembered rumours of an unusual Great-Aunt - perhaps the magic had skipped a couple of generations. Slowly, things started to fall into place, and through gentle explanation, Rhian was informed of her abilities - her youngest brother is yet to fully understand. Having to tell her Muggle friends that she was going away for school, and having to keep the big secret hidden was difficult for Rhian, but she was understandably excited to see this whole new world. When her letter came, she was utterly thrilled.

Before Hogwarts: Alfie was born roughly a year before the Battle of Hogwarts, when the wizarding world was still in turmoil. His parents gave him the middle name Harry, in support of young Potter who was rumoured to be trying to destroy the Dark Lord. Cadan and Merida had not joined the fight, with two young children at the time, they had too much to lose. After the Dark Lord had been defeated, life had to be rebuilt, but the new generation was part of that. Alfie had a happy childhood; playing in the acres of land his parents owned, learning how to look after their magical horses. His own magic appearing from a young age in various forms, including being able to levitate a bale of hay for a few moments as a five year old. He has lived a rather idyllic life, and the wizarding world is pretty much all he knows. Years of Chegwin get-togethers has given him a real sense of family pride, but he has no animosity towards Muggle-borns and Muggles in general. He has been told of the evil that existed, though not in great detail. He is aware that his mother's side of the family were not impartial during the war, and agrees with his mum that they are better left unmentioned. Alfie cannot wait to go to Hogwarts.

Her brother is mean spirited, and enjoys taunting his younger sisters, and other pupils within the school. Olivia has never wanted for anything material in her life, with things being handed to her with little thought - but she craves some kind of worth. For the moment, her saving grace is her Muggle grandmother, who she visits on weekends and stays the night. Olivia is looking forward to school, but worries about how her brother will act when she's there - she desperately wants to be in Slytherin like them.

Before Hogwarts: Apollo was born soon before the end of the second wizarding war to the witch Iris Mopsus and the muggle Reece Hyde while they were in their early 20s. He grew up in London where his mother worked as a St Mungo's healer and his father worked as a financial accountant (his dad once explained Apollo that the latter had something to do with muggle money).

As he grew up his parents noticed he seemed to have trouble grasping the progression of time. He'd be frequently confused about the date and talk about planned family outings as if they had already happened. On one occasion he thanked his parents for buying him the birthday presents he wanted days before opening them. Of course they simply assumed he had peeked at the presents before they were wrapped, but strange occurrences like these continued. He'd know people's names before he'd meet them, comfort individuals before they injured themselves and once cried about the death of the house cat 3 days before it was accidentally run over by a muggle in a car. Eventually there was only one possible explanation: he was a seer.

This was not completely out of blue as the Mopsus line had included many seers (some rather talented) in the past, though the gift had eluded the last few generations of the family. Oddly enough, even though Apollo was undeniably a wizard—being able to peer through the veil of the future—his family only witnessed him performing an actual spell relatively late into his childhood. The first time was when he was 9 years old on Christmas eve. The Christmas tree, which had been placed dangerously close to the fireplace by his oblivious father, had suddenly caught on fire, but somehow, while Apollo looked on intently, the tree had been extinguished, completely unburned.

Before Hogwarts: Gabriel was born during the reign of the Dark Lord but he, his parents and older sister didn't have much to fear, per se, being respectable pure-bloods and from a family that included death eaters (namely, Gabriel's uncle Darragh Travers). Admittedly, especially since it was a very tumultuous time, his parents were rather glad when the war ended. His mother, Delilah, had secretly never been an ardent supporter. His very much elitist father, Matthew, on the other hand, preferred to spread his ideals of blood-supremacy in a more passive way, one that didn't impede his cushy lifestyle. Of course, they'd never admit this in the company of other esteemed pure-bloods and instead would talk nostalgically of "the good old days".

When Gabe was 7 months old, after He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named's defeat, his uncle was sentenced to life in Azkaban while his father, though vocally anti-muggle/muggle-born, avoided this fate as he had never actively participated in the war or the atrocities committed.
