"At the end of the world, the ghosts of the Wild Hunt will cover the planet and claim all in their undead legion."
~Expert from "The Ravings of a Mad Druid" page 356, line 12. Author Unknown. Written circa 280 BC

The end is here, can we even stop it? In the year 20XX many soothsayers and oracles began seeing only but one thing. The world in flames and ruin. None know when it will happen, but the armies of the dead are marching. But one, and only one, sees a way out. That is, if the living can stop the dead.
Before they get here, it just might be possible to close the gate.

Caelyn Amarkiir
Caelyn sighed softly as she sat silently upon a bench just outside the one of the cities main park areas. She smiled just a bit softly as she sat there, silently observing the people around her, people who half the time didn't seem to notice her existence. Though this was mostly due to a natural ability that all Reapers had, which enabled them to go unnoticed by anything that had eyes, weather biological, or mechanical, it did not matter. If a Reaper wanted to be seen, it would be seen. Though there were some who could see past this perception filter that the Reapers had, and they usually were those trained in higher levels of magic then most of the public.

Samantha Phineas
Samantha sat at the desk of her menial day job that she got to hide her identity as an Angel. She smiled up at one of her co-workers, an Orc, as she handed him the finished paperwork that she had for the day. It was almost her lunch break, and because of this, she was beginning to wrap things up. Sam worked at a Financial consulting firm, one that she had over heard awhile ago, was working on the finances of a couple of the city's less then reputable factions. She didn't know if these factions were for the end of the world, something she believed shouldn't happen, or if they were just criminal organizations. She was able to gather that most of the citizens didn't actually know about the Mad Druid, which made her job a bit easier, yet harder.

Talion Falchion

Talion was flipping a coin up and down as he waits at the gate waiting for it to be opened . Talion was a captain of about a thousand vanguards ready to die for the protection of the land of humanity . His camp was formed right outside the gate with ever watchful guards eyeing to see any changes at all.

Luke

Luke was doing nothing at the meantime but commanding his thugs to collect the money from the protection racket in the town, his thugs are rough and crude but they serve more than just a corrupted mob, they were also a form of private service for the town protecting the people living there from bandits, raiders, and other mobsters. He built a suitable hideout in the sewers of the town where it was furnished and filled with lighting and decorations to make it more luxurious. The money he was getting from the protection racket was huge but there was another notorious crime lord in a nearby city that he has a few bones to pick with. Again as it was day time it was his time to be noticed, feared, and even loved by the townsfolk. He had it in with the mayor by supporting him with some " political favors" so him and his thugs are practically untouchable

North Carolina:

Dezra Eadae Tellend surveyed his target from his skycycle. Owning one was illegal because of the danger they posed to planes and how easily they could be used to commit crimes. Of course since he was using it to commit crimes it was besides the point. Even through his protective gear and coat he could feel the cold, but thankfully his breathing mask prevented him from smelling what was below him. A 'farm' that was actually a cover for what actually was there: pig shit lagoons. Over a hundred-thousand feet of pig shit lagoons. And the payload he was about to drop would turn that into a giant bomb. Oh, normally there would be no way to do it, you'd have to refine and treat it to make it usable as an explosive substance. That's where his assigned partner came in. Lord Kaineth had developed a way to simplify the process. Just drop the package in and BOOOM! The Lich had apparently devised it centuries ago.

Dezra took his skycycle in for a dive and primed the device. He'd have 30 seconds to get clear and wanted to make them count. Arming it, he dropped it just as he began to pull up from the dive. 30 seconds later a massive explosion left a crater where Smithfield Food's pig shit lagoon had been. Of course the crater was too small to be caused by an explosion. Thanks to the secondary function of the device, the explosion had been teleported to the real target: the center of the Alabama State Capitol Building. The building's teleport-blocker had been turned off by a very disgruntled member of the cleaning staff paid off by the Novelty Cabal. In less than a second the Alabama State Capitol Building had been replaced by a pig shit explosion that left nothing standing.
Dezra turned on his earpiece. "Alright, it's done. Please tell me someone recorded that, it had to be epic!"

Lord Kaineth's voice echoed from his right ear. "...Nobody was in the building!...Someone tipped them off!...HOW?!...No matter....the destruction of the building alone accomplished our goal....they know what the Novelty Cabal is capable of...This needs to be discussed...."

Talion
(Not going to be mentioned until the gate opens )

Luke

News quickly began to spread out of the explosion as Luke is sitting in his office behind the desk kicking his feet up over the table resting his feet there sipping on some dark roasted coffee in his porcelain cup. His peaceful day was soon interrupted by his right hand man barging into Luke's office carrying a newspaper in his hand waving it ." Hey boss there was a terror bombing in Alabama. What are we g-" Luke simply raised his hand to his companion that silenced him middle sentence. He took another sip before replying "use the terrorist fear aspect into the enemy mafia. The fear will overwhelm them and for those that don't flee the compound kill them on sight." The right hand man nodded his head and left the newspaper on Luke's desk before walking out of the office to inform the men to prepare the raid/assault.

Caelyn Amarkiir
Caelyn blinked a bit softly, as one of her servants sent to watch the mortal planes, had come back with news that a building had been destroyed using some sort of teleporting bomb. She nodded softly, letting out a sigh as she was informed that the bomb was caused by some group calling themselves The Novelty Cabal. At this she chuckled a bit softly, shaking her head slowly as she did. "Not a very Novel thing for them to do though, is it? Blowing up empty buildings?" She then said, letting out a soft sigh, as she turned to look at the agent again. "I take it our friends over at that place are reporting that it was a demolition crew mistake gone wrong? That there's nothing to fear?" She then asked, as the Agent nodded slowly. "As expected, you're dismissed."

Samantha Phineas
Samantha let out another sigh as she slowly looked through her company's budget. She shook her head slowly, as news of an explosion at the Alabama State Capital building was spreading across the news. They really did go fast these days. Though the public announcement was that the building had been scheduled to be demolished anyway, due to cracks in the foundation, many of the news outlets were speculation that it was an act of terrorism. As she glanced back at the budget, she noticed that in the past few months, they'd received a few 'anonymous' donations from some group called "The Novelty Cabal." Could this be her first clue into finding out what was going on?

Luke

A few days later came after the terrorist attack as some of Luke's thugs bought some police outfits and police cars for his crew. From there Luke finally gave the go word as the hitmen dressed up in police clothing get into the squad cars and drive out to the city.

About thirty minutes later they arrived at the warehouse where all the enemy mobsters were located as well as the crime lord. " this is a raid! You all are under arrest!" One of the 'policemen' said while they started lining up the gangsters to the fall back facing them . Once the enemy was all lined up one questions the officers, " are y'a gonna arrest us or not?" . By then the fakers were already carrying their unlicensed automatic weapons pointing at the gangsters at the wall before the clock was heard following rapid firing for a straight thirty seconds.

When all the mobsters were killed one of Luke's thugs pulled out a radio " the job is done.." Luke was sitting in his desk collecting and counting his gold till he heard from the radio and reached over finally responding " excellent, just dispose the evidence ..."

Caelyn Amarkiir
Caelyn let out a soft sigh as she watched over the reaping of a large group of souls. She looked around the room a bit, before softly shaking her head. "Damn mobsters..." She said softly, as she turned to watch a group of them executing others. She watched this, as one of her more zealous workers began to move over to head to reap those souls as well. "Hold it." Caelyn then said, holding the zealous worker back. "One, we are not to interfere with the lives of humans." She stated, with a stoic monotone voice. "And two, they are not out job. That group has their own reapers to deal with the dead. I have no quarrel with them and I do not want one."

Luke:

It was a while since the job was done and the heat was lowered down. It was finally time to upgrade his home....

Within that city there was a medium sized apartment with decent furniture and all the necessities for him, surprisingly it was at a discounted price because it was " haunted" but he didn't really care if it was or was not. He was already as close to death as possible mentally and constantly his life is on the line.

Upon entering the room it was rather lavish to him as he after laying down his bags under the bed decided to get a cold one out of the fridge and started watching television, something he never got the opportunity to watch before. The hours went by and the day soon became nightfall as he just finished watching a series of shows, concealed pistol and knife always on him~

Clarisse made her way through the city, ignoring the looks she got, and the whispers that followed her. Her hair was tucked behind her pointed ears, and if that wasn't enough proof that she wasn't human, her chalk pale skin revealed what she was - a vampire.

Despite the human pettiness, she continued to search for something interesting....Surely the city would offer her something to enjoy.

Luke:

After a few nights of restless partying and fun, it was time for Luke to take the night to the club and dance the night away ~

He grabbed his jacket and suppressed pistol swaying to the door to finally finish his time with the house. He "borrowed " a neighbors car for the night as he drives to the club, he arrived of course first in line. Upon entering he spotted a pale girl across the road before he entered

A club. Those were normally interesting, filled with human life as they were. And many people under the influence of alcohol. People who could be convinced into a dark corner with a pretty girl, and wouldn't understand as well when she bit them. Of course, she wasn't planning on killing anybody - That was for savages. But she did need her blood fix, and it looked like this was a good place to find easy prey. Plus, she might just find someone pretty enough for her to take an interest in them. So, she queued, ignoring the glares then entered the club, heading (of course) straight for the bar. Her alcohol tolerance was stronger than a humans, but that didn't mean she didn't enjoy the slight buzz it gave her.

Samantha Phineas
Samantha let out a couple of sighs as she sat at the bar of a club she had found on the way home from work. She had discovered the club while walking home one day and never felt the need to go in to it until now. Her work was hosting a party there to celebrate a large increase in revenue the last quarter. She was there as most of her department was required to show up. Though, she was there, she was at the bar, avoiding interacting with the rest of her workmates, who had a couple of tables off to one of the sides of the club.
