The War of the Shapeshifters and Humans! [Inactive]

Itzuki looked over the training field, as he watched everyone prepare for battle. He wasn't perticularly impressed with the progress of his solders as they weren't exactly up to par, but some of them were...in the least bit impressive.

He ran a hand through his black hair and sighed, I guess we better move out, the General won't be too happy about us taking out time to get there will he? he walked at a brisk pace towards the center of the field and called everyone to attention.

Zayd watched his army's prepartions from afar. Although they didn't seem quite polished, he was confident they'd be strong enough to defeat the humans. They would have to be. Of course, Zayd was slightly comforted knowing that the training of his legions was left in the very capable hands of Itzuki. The man was disciplined and serious about the war against the humans, which is exactly the qualities that encouraged Zayd to groom Itzuki for the throne. However, for now, Zayd was a bit perturbed because of how slow the army was gathering. Luckily, Itzuki picked up the pace and got everyone's attention. Rising from his chair, Zayd stepped up to the podium, his imposing height and figure not betraying the fact that he was still a teenager. No, at that moment, he was the King and General of the Shapeshifters, the man that his loyal subjects revered as the "Absolute King", and the legend his enemies feared as the "Smiling Monster".

He raised his hands to silence the crowds, before launching into a short speech. "Greetings, my Shapeshifter Army. I see that you are all progressing splendidly. I am glad for it. Soon, I forsee a battle that will be a decisive point in this war, and it is absolutely imperative that we win. I have acquired some... leverage over the humans. However, the rest is up to you. Remember how vile the humans are, remember the atrocities that they committed, remember the loved ones that were ripped from us prematurely by their avarice... Take the battlefield and show them your wrath! Do not fail your King!" he ended triumphantly, both his arms raised in the air as his army began to cheer. Waving, he sat down once more, nodding at Itzuki to indicate that they should talk whilst the army mingled for a few minutes.

Elsewhere, in a dark room, there sat a man, seated in a hunched manner. Everything about his posture screamed depression and loss. However, withing moments, the man straightened and stood up. Now, his stature seemed fit for a general, which indeed he was. Xavier, the General of the Humans, turned around, any traces of tears gone from his hardened face. His daughter had been everything to him after his beloved wife had died due to those godforsaken shapeshifters. Now, they'd taken his daughter, but they if they thought he'd just let them keep her... they had another thing coming. He swore that he would personally find their king and rip his filthy head of his shoulders. With a rigid gate, he walked out of the room, leaving it in darkness and silence.

Itzuki noticed the small gesture Zayd had made, telling him he wanted to speak to him. Realizing it must be important, Itzuki said good-bye to the solder he was talking to, and quickly made his way to the King. When he reached where Zayd was sitting, he bowed slightly, "What is it, My lord?" he asked, his voice had an obvious amount of authority, and of kindness as well. Honestly it was an odd combo.

Zayd waved off the older man's bow. "What have I told you, Itzuki? One day, you'll be the one sitting on this throne, commanding our force. There's no need to address me formally like that." Leaning forward, he steepled his fingers. "I've gotten wind of an impending attack by the humans. However, I'm not quite sure how reliable my source is. As such, I've decided to utilize the... leverage we went through so much trouble to obtain. Bring her to me after today's battle practice, alright?" Suddenly, he began to cough violently, although he held up a hand before any of his aids could rush over to help him. Pulling out a hankerchief, he coughed into it, only to see a large amount of blood splattered on it when his coughing had subsided. He wiped his mouth and put the hankerchief away, making sure not to seem weak in front of his troops. Then, he looked up, somewhat morosely, at Itzuki. "Looks like that day is coming sooner rather than later. I hope to end the war before you take this throne so that you don't have to soak your hands in the blood of any more beings."

The training grounds as always filled with the various clangs and clicks of weapons ranging anywhere from daggers that looked as if they belonged back in Medieval times to guns that bore more technological achievement than anything he had ever seen on Earth. But they all had one thing in common; they were deadly. In the training grounds no one set weapon was required for use and many soldiers took the chance to hone in their skills on talents that weren't required for battle using weapons they preferred but might not always be deemed practical. But against an enemy who could literally change his form perfection with a hatchet may profit over the modern technology the shapeshifters had no doubt been trained specifically to defend against. But regardless Cyrus couldn't help but feel a sense of security envelope him as he fingered the blade of one of his knives he kept stashed away though it was not regulation to keep around such blades. After checking the blade, particularly it's sharpness, he slipped the knife back into his boot where it currently resided, hidden more than not, and looked up and around as if the General might have appeared with orders and battle plans at the ready while he had been occupied with his thoughts.

Itzuki shook his head, "I doubt that this war will end anytime soon, especially since the humans are rather..." he tried to think of a word to use, and sighed, "Presistant," he muttered. He looked back at the king, "The girl is surprisingly strong, so I would warn you that she will try everything in her power to get away," he said in a worried tone. His voice was almost at a whisper as no one other then Zayd, him, and his team knew about the girl, the Human General's daughter.

Axel walked into the small room with the two generals. "When do we attack?" Axel asked. "Me and my men are ready for battle." Axel bowed acknowledging the general's authority. We need to strike first or the humans will eliminate us with there high tech missiles. We can't stay clumped together like this. Axel thought. "I will have to move my men away from here if we don't attack soon." Axel said, "The humans are at an advantage when were clumped together like this." Axel finished.

As Itzuki and General Zayd is talking, William decides to take a quick peek and eavesdrop onto their conversation. He sighed at the thought of the war soon beginning as business would either get more busy or rarer during the time where the humans would go head-on with the shapeshifters. Even though he was excited to see who would be winning in the end. He can see the General's bad health and can't help himself, but smirk at the poor man. Maybe he got too much blood that he had to cough up some. He taps Itzuki on the shoulder, and then the next shoulder before quickly retreating safely into the shadows, chuckling.

"Oh? Did I hear something about a girl? Have you gotten a girlfriend without telling me Itzuki? How mean!" William sulks continue to move along the shadows, but carefully to not make a sound for any steps he takes.

Itzuki felt the light taps on his shoulders, and immediately put his hand on the hilt of his blade, ready to attack whatever may cause harm to him or the king. When he heard the man speak however, his grip loosened and he sighed, "What are you doing here William, I hired you once, you don't have to come back," he muttered bitterly. He wasn't exactly in the best of moods, and he didn't want any of the information to be compromised.

"The look on your face! So angry, so serious. Take it easy, have some fun with your "girl". After practice right?"

William walked over to Itzuki from behind and quickly grabbed the sword playing around with it, but no longer hiding in the shadows as he playfully throws the sword around.

"You getting slow Zuki? I napped this sword quicker than I could get information for you! And this was all for free," William teases him a bit standing in front of Itzuki smirking a childish smile, basically asking for trouble.

Itzuki growled slightly, "Let's get a few things straight William. One, Its Itzuki, not zuki, two the girl is none of your business, and three, I demand you tell me why you are here," he said. His voice stern, he tried to grab the sword, but was not able to, as William was indeed faster then he was.

"Aww... come on. Zuki is a much better fit. You just seem like a Zuki Zuki," William playfully repeated as he kept the sword and threw it a couple of times in the air and made it seem like a small juggler show.

"Plus. I'm not really the kind to answer questions now am I? You just gotta love that part about me right?" William answered and handed back the sword to him and sat down on one of the chairs nearby, making himself at home.

"Plus. You can't keep a secret from me Zuki. It's about Rosalie right? The human girl that was kidnapped from the Human General Xavier or whatever. He has a hard name, I never can get a hang out of it, who wants such a difficult name anyway?" William takes an apple off one of the high quality bowls and eats it, as he almost places his feet on the table, but knows better when you are around.

Itzuki placed the sword back in its sheath, "I see that you already know this information," he said, rather angerly. He watched as the man made himself quite comfortable, much to his dismay. He looked at him, "But I would like to know why you're here, I don't have time for trouble you know, I have a war to plan out,"

"Oh yeah! Blood to spill! Guts to... well let's not mention that part," William said as he put away the half eaten apple, and began eating on another, still as carefree as he usually would be.

"Told you Itzuki. Not really into answering questions. Gotta love that part about me right? Oh wait... what's not to love about me?" William said as he threw the other unfinished apple and stood up, stretching a bit.

"Then again! Work is work! I better get going right?" William said winking over to Itzuki.

"Make sure to play with me next time Zuki!" William waved goodbye before he went back to his shadows, quietly and began making his way around in the headquarters, looking for the information which had been bought.

Itzuki was half tempted to chase after him, but he was in the middle of a conversation. He sighed and turned to his king and bowed slightly, "Sorry about that M'lord,"

William looked behind him, to see that Itzuki didn't want to play tag with him. How boring he thought as he made his way through the headquarters, curiously looking for what he was searching for, but acknowledging Itzuki's and the General's positions as he could not simply forget that they were still here, and knew he was here too.

"Time to get that little something... Oh where or where may you be hiding? I wasn't really up for a game of hide and seek, but hey! Zuki didn't want to play so I suppose I need to help myself!"

William found his way to the archives and helped himself in, only after knocking out the two guards in front though, but they seemed to be so tense thinking of the war, that he could almost slip past them without notice. Inside archives, he quickly rummaged through a couple of books, scrolls, papers, letters before he finally found what he had been searching for. The blueprint of the headquarters, perfect for whoever wished to do a sneak attack. Too bad for the shapeshifters though.

William made his way out of the archives thinking of saying goodbye to Itzuki before he left and began making his way back up from the cold cellars.

Itzuki got a strange feeling, but shrugged it off, We guarded everything, and he won't get away easily anyway, even if I have to run after him myself, he isn't getting away with information. he thought to himself. His grip on his sword loosened and tightened as he continued thinking through different strategies and various situations.

"HEY ZUKI!" William ruffled his hand through Itzuki's dark hair and smiled a childish smile as he took a couple of steps back, precaution and all that.

"I got what I was looking for. Thought to say goodbye before I left. We never hangout anymore, you can tell me. Girlfriend problems right? If you smile a bit more that might change! You're so charming, strong and... well... not as handsome as me, but you get the point!" William teased and patted Itzuki on the back.

"Man. You really need to get better security. The guards assigned for the archives are sleeping on the job! Or knocked out, but hey! They were all like: "You can't pass!" and I was like: "Oh yeah?" and then WHOOP BANG POW! Out like a candle. Are you slacking off maybe?" William asked as he waved the little blueprint around before putting it into his pocket.

Itzuki immediately turned around and grabbed William's arm lightly, as not to hurt him, "What information are you getting, and who is it for?" he growled. He had lost his patients and his anger was showing through. He was tired of being messed around with, he needed answers, and not anything childish either.

"Getting personal are we? Sorry! Confidential information! You need to be a hotshot! You know? A high stature dude... On the human side," William answered and pulled back his arm lightly too, as Itzuki didn't seem to wish to start something.

William turned his back on Itzuki and smiled as he waved his hand casually and waved the blueprint around a bit more, before safely tucking it back into his secured pocket.

"I really can't stay here and play for too long. Plus, your worry wrinkles are showing... that's a bad sign..." William remarked and began running down the hallway, to the nearest exit.

Itzuki followed him quickly, There isn't a single chance in hell that you're getting away with that information William. he thought to himself angry, he did know that the man was just an informant, but that was it, nothing more. He still wouldn't get away with information though.

William turned around as he heard Itzuki's footsteps behind him and chuckled, quickly looking behind him to confirm it was Itzuki, without slowing down too much of his pace.

"Now you wanna play? Sorry, too busy!" William yelled behind him before he dropped a small smoke pellet on the ground, making a small cloud of smoke behind and in front of him, running straight into it, concealing himself as he shapeshifted into a black cat, running faster and harder to catch.

Itzuki stopped running for a moment when the smoke appeared, realizing he won't be able to see through it, he quickly changed into his wolf form to smell the man out. He quickly ran after what looked like a black cat, So, he can shift, well that's something I didn't know. he thought to himself. He quickly shook the thoughts from his head and continued running after the cat.

William quickly looked behind himself to see that Itzuki shapeshifted as well and sighed a bit, as he had just wasted two smoke pellets, but had gotten a bit ahead as it seemed as he had stopped for a bit.

"Those were my favorite smoke pellets! I demand a refund!" William complained as he stealthily dropped a couple of small round silver spheres onto the floor, but kept running as if nothing had happened.

"Wish I was a mouse, then we could play cat and mouse! Wouldn't that be fun?" William remarked as he kept on running with full speed ahead, God knows what Itzuki might do if he catches up.
