Hogwarts, as always, has proven to be a sanctuary for young witches and wizards - but how much longer will they be able to keep it safe from the terrors of the outside world? Despite the darkness that waits for them beyond the school walls, Hogwarts has been able to provide a safe haven where students can continue to learn and thrive... well, mostly. Think of your favorite part of every Harry Potter movie or book - The room of requirement, magical creatures, romance, quidditch, the Yule Ball, a Triwizard Tournament, dark prophecies, a secret rebellion, magically inclined breaking and entering - this RP will have it all! A delightful mashup of all of our favorite Harry Potter events, with NO canon characters. This RP will essentially be an *alternate* Harry Potter universe in which the story revolves around our original characters!

1. No canon characters - the characters we all know and love have been done before, so let's create some new ones of our own!

Personality: Cooper is your typical mischievous Gryffindor athlete. He’d rather be doing anything other than school work. The Quidditch pitch is where he feels at his best and his happiest. He’ll often tell you that the feeling of the wind in your hair while soaring through the air on your broom is something that is unmatched. Cooper has also got a natural confidence to him. Some see it as annoying and cocky, others see it as charming and bold. He also has a love for mischief, loving adventure, to play pranks, or to skip classes, which often gets him into trouble.

Backstory: Cooper was born to a fairly wealthy pure blooded wizarding family. The Cramwell’s have long been an established family in the wizarding world, respected by some and hated by others. Although a family of pure bloods, the Cramwell’s have long taught their children that no blood status is above the other. Because of it, despite being a pure blood, Cooper never bought into the whole “pure blood supremacy” propaganda as his parents never taught that vice.
Because of his family’s wealth and being pure blooded, knowing nothing outside of the wizarding world, Cooper fell in love with the sport of Quidditch from a very young age. The boy grew up attending his father’s Quidditch games, as his father (Andrew Cramwell) plays for the Wimbourne Wasps of the British and Irish Quidditch League. Once Cooper grew up and was old enough during his second year to try out for the Gryffindor Quidditch team, he had made it and been the team’s top seeker since.
Cooper was quite literally born with a silver spoon in his hand but despite his upbringing is a friendly and fiercely loyal young boy. His flaw is his occasional cockiness and love for mischief, often getting himself into trouble or skipping class with friends.

Much like her twin brother, she can be quick to anger, although she's typically much better at controlling it than Sebastian. While she has many friends, she has only a few truly deep relationships. She doesn't let herself get attached to anyone too easily, although she hasn't figured out why. She values her studies and always likes to remind people that she knows more than them (her favorite thing is proving her brother wrong). Despite her ability to be ruthless when she chooses, Kiara is typically well mannered and empathetic towards everyone she meets unless you rub her the wrong way. Backstory: Kiara comes from the illustrious, pureblood, Blake family. Her twin brother, Sebastian, and herself are the shining heirs to their family's fortune and power. When Kiara was just nine years old, she was kidnapped from a crowded theatre, by a secret organization of muggles seizing the opportunity to make a profit off of her. When Kiara got up to buy some candy at intermission, an older man with long, dark hair had grabbed her by the wrist, dragged her into a dark hallway and used a port key to spirit them both to a large medical facility in the muggle world. This was Kiara's first and only experience with muggles, and needless to say it left a sour taste in her mouth. The muggles demanded a ransom of money and various magical artifacts for Kiara's safe return. During her capture, Kiara was treated like a psychiatric prisoner, with hoards of muggle doctors trying to convince her into believing that magic was not real and that it was all in her head. For the days that she was there, Kiara was tricked into believing that she was insane... and truthfully, she almost did lose her mind. Eventually, her family paid the ransom and Kiara was returned safely, although the entire ordeal still gives her nightmares. She had never felt more objectified, gaslit, or dehumanized. Her parents never talked to her much about her kidnapping, or about the cruelty of muggles. From the time she was young she realized her only true family was her twin brother, Sebastian. While her parents always provided for her, they were distinctly lacking in any true affection for their children. They saw them as pawns, investments in their future rather than distinct individuals. As a result of her upbringing Kiara has become very self sufficient, and absolutely detests anyone that makes her feel less-than or objectified.

His dark brown eyes seem almost puppy dog like when he's not smirking at you, and thick lashes make him the perfect heartbreaker when he wants to be. He has thick eyebrows and curly brown hair that his sister constantly begs to cut for him. A sharp jawline and a strong chin finish off his facial features with a traditionally handsome look. The slightest hint of freckles adorn his cheeks, though you wouldn't see them unless you were lookinh for them. He is consistently smirking or glaring, there's no in between. Bash is lean but experiences no shortage of muscle. His pecs and biceps are exceptionally defined as he takes great care in training for quidditch.

Personality: Sebastian is a confident mischief maker with a knack for danger. He frequently lets his antics get out of hand, but his twin sister, Kiara, is usually there to pull the reigns and stop him before he gets into too much trouble. Bash likes to brag about his heritage as part of the notorious Blake family, and never misses an opportunity to remind his peers of what he's capable of. Whether it's spells, flying, a fist fight, or a romantic interaction, Bastian will never fail to show you he has the upper hand. He firmly believes that he could walk on water if he tried, and he's probably right. Bash is a pathological flirt, and never misses an opportunity to strike up a conversation with someone he finds particularly intriguing. He doesn't mind being the center of attention, in fact, he rather enjoys it. Sebastian is quick to anger, and definitely the type to choose violence, but he can be unusually soft towards those that he cares about. He is incredibly protective and loyal to his friends and family, but if you get on his bad side you'd better beware. He's a formidable enemy, but can be an even more formidable friend.

Backstory: Sebastian was raised in a notorious, well-to-do, pureblood family. His parents had high expectations for him and his sister, and by most standards, the twins lived up to them. Sebastian has been very protective of his twin sister, Kiara, ever since they were children. She was the one who gave him the nickname "Bash". His sister was kidnapped when they were nine years old by another wizarding family and held for ransom. The Blake family's response was not what most would've expected, as it was handled with the utmost civility and decorum. Their father diplomatically arranged for the ransom to be paid, even bringing nine-year-old Bash with him to witness the exchange. It was then that his father imparted words on Bash that he would never forget, "money is replaceable Sebastian, family is not." His parents were never particularly loving or emotionally towards either of the twins, but Sebastian didn't particularly mind. All the love he needed he got from his sister, the two were as thick as thieves and have remained that way to this day, a notorious duo of the Slytherin house.

"There's the girl that went missing in first year" She hates knowing people talk about her behind her back, but has learned to swallow it and walk away. When her older sister was bitten and turned into a werewolf, her parents were disgraced. They tried to send Reesa away, telling Anastasia that she was no longer her sister, but Ana didn't buy that for a second. Realizing the true, cold hearted nature of her parents, Anastasia left with her sister, and they sought refuge with their Aunt Tanya, the astronomy professor at Hogwarts. The girls live with their aunt now, and their parents have effectively disowned them. Deep down, Ana knows her parents would accept her if she went back to them, but she would never leave Reesa, and truthfully isn't interested in a family that doesn't accept Reesa the way she is. She would die for her sister, and knows her sister feels the same.

She is absolutely fascinated by all things magic, whether it be creatures or spells (although she does have an exceptionally soft spot for all creatures). She has a big heart that people tend to take advantage of and the attitude of phoenix, often putting off the front that she has everything under control. Backstory: Born to muggle parents, Lydia always knew deep down that she was different than her peers in grade school. Not only was she exceptionally intelligent, but strange things often happened around her. Things exploding when she was angry or objects moving on their own. Her parents were extremely supportive when they found out she was a witch, in fact her dad took her out for ice cream that day. Lydia grew up on a horse farm, her parents, while not particularly wealthy, always made sure she had everything she needed, and she knew she was loved deeply. She still goes home to visit them frequently and writes them once a week. When Lydia first got to Hogwarts she was so nervous that she barely spoke, soon however, she met Skyri Shore, a slightly younger girl in her house from a pureblood family who didn't make Lydia feel like an outcast. She started spending Christmases with the Shore family, and began an honorary daughter to them, although she didn't always get along with Skyri's brother, Saber.

Backstory: Ines was the product of a short love affair between a muggle-born woman, Delfina Varela, and a pureblood wizard, Agustín Valencia. Her mother was an Argentinian woman who was vacationing in the United Kingdom, where she met Ines's father, who was already engaged to another pureblood wizard. It was not until after her mother had returned to Argentina (specifically Buenos Aires) that she found out she was pregnant. Because of the circumstances surrounding her mother and father's relationship, Ines's mother chose to keep her daughter a secret and moved to the Falkland Islands. This way, if anything ever happened to Delfina, Ines would have an easier time accessing her biological father. Thus, Ines was born and raised in the Falkland Islands off the coast of Argentina. Her household on the east island consisted of her, her mother, aunt, and grandmother. She was raised in a trilingual household (English, Spanish, and Italian) and would occasionally travel to Argentina to visit other extended family members. She had no knowledge of her father or the magical world that he lived in for the first part of her childhood. It wasn't until Ines was nine years old that her world was flipped upside down.
When Ines was nine years old, her mother died in a boating accident, leaving her in the care of her grandmother and aunt for a short time. However, following her mother's death, her grandmother and aunt decided to find and contact Ines's birth father. Ines had been told next to nothing about her father while her father was completely unaware of her existence, so imagine the utter shock the whole ordeal was for both Ines and her father to find out about each other. It was not long after that that Ines, with the help of her grandmother and aunt, packed her bags and set off to her father's residence in England.
A new life and a whirlwind of emotions greeted her in England. It was her father who taught her of the wizarding world but it was her own desire and curiosity that drove her to attend Hogwarts.

Personality: Soren is an enigmatic and introverted individual with a hunger and passion for knowledge. Being an introvert, he spends quite a bit of time stuck in his head and is not easily influenced by the others around him. He is known to excel at "reading between the lines" and thinking both strategically and innovatively. He's good at analyzing situations and developing an effective plan of action to handle whatever situation. Moreover, Soren is not easily shaken by the challenges he faces in life and is typically calm in the chaos. But that is not to say that he is always cool and collected. Certain situations, like ones involving those he cares about, may beg for an emotional response from him and rattle his cage. Thus, Soren is not as callous and stoic as he initially comes off to be. Backstory: Soren was born in Cardiff, Wales, and was the only son and first child of a prominent pureblood family of wizards. Though his family was known to be indifferent towards muggle-born and half-blood individuals and were somewhat frowned upon by other pureblood families, they still retained their wealthy status in the wizarding community. Even so, Soren's parents were quite strict and had high expectations for their children. Both of his parents were former Ravenclaws and they expected their children to follow in their footsteps. Being the eldest child, Soren shouldered the majority of the responsibility and often took the fall for both his and his younger sister's "failures." He spent a lot of his childhood alone (or hanging out with his younger sister) and did not have many friends due to his parents' own distaste for social events or situations. As a result, Soren instead spent a lot of his time building his knowledge about the world around him through reading, mentally stimulating games, and learning new skills here and there, like learning how to play the piano. He became quite good at the different things he tried as well, which pleased his demanding parents.
Luckily for him, Soren would eventually be relieved of some of the constant pressure and expectations that were placed upon him by his parents when he finally went to attend Hogwarts.

Her skin is soft with a slightly tanned color to it but still overall on the pale side. She had platinum blond hair that reaches to her mid to lower back and is relatively straight with a slight gentle wave to it. Her lips are one of her most notable features as they are full and often holding a smirk though when at rest they have a natural pout. Personality: Reesa is a very friendly and warm-hearted young woman despite her cold-looking appearance. She can be very flirty and feminine but you should never doubt her capability to get down and dirty when she needs to. She is constantly on the move and is very active because of what is likely un-diagnosed ADHD which also leads to her being very open to speaking her mind and breaking social norms. Well, that is at least part of the reason, the other part that has come into play in recent weeks is that she really just doesn't care about social norms since she as a person is not a social norm due to her status as a werewolf. This recent transformation has left more than just physical scars on the young woman and she is very much a shadow of the person she used to be. To those who knew her before summer she will be returning to school for more closed off and secretive than she used to be. Reesa is working her way through her trauma from the attack and being disowned by her family but in time she will return to the young woman she once was. She is very bold and will get involved in fights that might not be her own either because she is bored or she has a desire to defend others. While her reactions and intentions might be in question at times, one should never question her heart. She lives her life never questioning and never doubting what her heart tells her to do, this might make her reckless in the eyes of others but in her mind it is reckless to think too much and miss the chance to make something better in a moment rather than fixing it later. She has no issues standing up for herself or others and even if it means she needs to disrespect an authority figure she will make sure that people hear exactly what they need to without hesitation. Never threaten her friends or family, she will go through hell and back for her younger sister and aunt as well as the people she calls her friends because to her they are all she has left. To be honest, Reesa would likely go through hell and back for an absolute stranger because she believes that as much as others think the world has given up on them it is her duty to be that one person who proves them wrong. Backstory: A loyal protector, that is what Reesa has always been. Ever since she was small, ever since she first held her baby sister in her arms Reesa has known she would do anything for her. That feeling never wavered and only extended and grew in strength when her twin brothers were brought into the world. Her parents praised her for it, saying they knew she would always keep her siblings safe and they loved her for it. Reesa didn't do it for the praise though, she did it because she truly loved all of her siblings so fiercely that she couldn't be afraid when bad things happened. Her loyalty to them gave her strength and that loyalty is likely what got her placed in Hufflepuff. When Ana disappeared in her first year at Hogwarts it was Reesa who plunged into the Chamber of Secrets to fight for her sister and bring her back. When their family went on a camping trip only to end up attacked by a werewolf it was Reesa who threw herself between the beast and her six year old brothers. It was Reesa who was dragged off into the woods, bitten and torn at like fresh kill for the werewolf. It was Reesa who was left for dead by her parents and brothers, who managed to drag herself out of those hellish woods and find her way home despite the blood loss, ragged wounds, and shock. And what did she get when she made her way home? She was treated as a monster, told it would have been better if she had died in those woods. Her own mother attempted to end her with the killing curse after telling her she was doing all of them a favor. The only person to stand by her and help her was Ana, her dear sister who rushed to her aid after finding out Reesa had in fact not died in the woods as she had been told. Ana helped Reesa get some place where her wounds could be tended to and promised she would stay with her. Ana left their family as they turned their back on Reesa and when they needed a place to stay Ana reached out to their Aunt, a woman who had been unwelcome in their parents home for years, the same woman who welcomed them into her home without hesitation. With the help of Ana and their Aunt, Reesa managed to survive her wounds and was even allowed to return to Hogwarts with safe guards put in place of course. This year will be a challenging one for the sisters and their Aunt but with Ana at her side Reesa is beginning to dare to hope she can take back her life.

Personality: Thorn is a very open, kind, and brave young man who would (and has) rush into a dangerous situation in order to protect an absolute stranger. He is the kind of guy who would give you the shirt off his back and carry anyone who no longer felt they could keep going on their own. He can be very goofy a good amount of the time and has a signature smirk that gives away when he is up to something. Thorn has every aspect of making a good leader someday but has no drive to assert himself into leader positions, preferring instead to act as neither leader or follower but as an individual. He can be very clingy to those he is close to and if he thinks someone he cares for is upset he will press matters until they hopefully open up so he can help fix things. When Thorn was 10 years old his mother suddenly passed away. She was not killed or targeted but rather died to an unfortunate accident while on her way to work. Thorn was devastated and for a year he did not speak a word to anyone, even when his muggle father came from London to bring him to live with him. Thorn remained silent even when he got his letter of acceptance to Hogwarts. All he had known in his life, all he had expected was turned upside down and he had no one to blame. With time and honestly with the help of school Thorn began to better process his grief and eventually found a friend in the elderly grounds keeper and his granddaughter who was a student at the time. Personality: Skyri is a very sweet young woman who does all she can to put a smile on other peoples faces. She is incredibly clumsy, seemingly without a fiber of grace in her body which she is very embarrassed about. Her nervous yet incredibly giving nature makes her endearing to many who meet her, especially when they see how much she has to deal with when it comes to her beloved pet Niffler Bumblebarb. Skyri is an incredibly brilliant young witch who seems to soak in knowledge though she often thinks of herself as dumb. She knows basically all the answers but when called upon she fumbles and loses her voice which often makes others laugh. Despite all of this she is a positive spirit for others, always believing in them even when they can't believe in themselves. Now if only she could learn to have a bit more faith in her own abilities. Alas, Skyri's greatest weakness will be that she is truly her own greatest critic as she constantly compares herself to her family and thinks she will never amount to how great they are. Dorian has short, semi-curly raven black hair that somehow looks well groomed and stylishly shaggy at the same time. Some days he will slick it back, normally if he is in a more serious mood. Personality: While many Slytherins are seen as ambitious in regards to status and power Dorian does not seem to fit that mold. Yes, he may be head boy but ambition was not got him there, simply the quality of his good character. No, Dorian's ambitions lie elsewhere in the world of the theater of the mind. His greatest passion is for reading and writing and it is this passion that drives him to work on his novel which he hopes will one day be in every home and bookstore in the wizarding world. The way Dorian sees it he will not live forever, he wouldn't want to, but he can create something that just might. All of his clever, cunning, and creative imagination is poured into this novel he has been working on for years now. When he isn't caught up writing or perhaps indulging in a story that already exists Dorian can often be found wandering the grounds. He has no destination in mind, simply the desire to move and witness the world around him. It is the little things he enjoys the most, that which the eye could all too easily glance over unless given a chance to stop and truly admire. Backstory: TRIGGER WARNINGS!
A child should be allowed to be a child. That is what his mother yelled at his father the first time Dorian remembers his father hitting her but looking back he doubted it was the first time he had ever hit her at all. That day though Dorian's mother had returned home to find his father teaching him the unforgivable curses on living subjects as four year old Dorian watched in horror. The details that followed were foggy but Dorian remembers cradling his favorite hippogriff stuffed animal as he sobbed from within his closet, listening to his mother scream at first in anger then in fear. It happened more and more after that day. His mother would take potions and cast spells to hide the marks and make them heal faster but Dorian knew and was powerless to stop it. Finally when Dorian was five his breaking point happened. His father cast the crucio curse on his mother before his very eyes and five year old Dorian grabbed a knife from the dining room table and stabbed his father in the leg. Personality: Essie lives her life cut off from many of her emotions because she is afraid to feel them. Backstory:
As you might have gathered by this point Essie's life is not one to be envied. Her family is famed for being direct descendants to one of the oldest and most powerful witches in all of Russia (maybe even the world) and because of this, a curse runs in their blood. Every generation a new female with the blood of Baba Yaga running through her veins is chosen as the vessel for Baba Yaga. The child is marked with The Mark of Baba Yaga a few days after her birth, a symbol to show her fate as Baba Yaga's chosen one. From that point on it is the family's sworn duty to prepare the child and make her a perfect host for their most honored and most demanding ancestor. When the girl reaches the age of full magic maturity Baba Yaga takes the girl's body as her own, sacrificing the chosen vessel's life force in order to sustain hers until the next vessel comes along. To be the chosen vessel is supposed to be a great honor for any girl in the family and many members treat it as a gift; however, Essie has never seen it that way. The way she sees it is that before she could even remember she has been told that this life is not hers. Members of her family who say they love her and shower her with praise only do so because she has been forced into perfection her entire life in order to be ready as a vessel as well as having been placed on a lonely pedestal to be gawked at until the day her purpose is fulfilled. They do not love her, they only love what she is, not who she is. She cannot make friendships or connections because she will not live long enough to be able to enjoy them and they will end in tears for herself and those she cares for. In her mind, she doesn't want to hurt anyone by becoming their friend when she already knows the friendship will not last. This has led to Essie craving companionship but too afraid to seek it out, thus her best friend has become her beloved cat Lev. As Essie grew older she began to realize she was losing time. Eventually, she found out that her time and memory loss was coming from Baba Yaga taking over her body to "test it out". From what Essie gathered the things her ancestor would say and do were both manipulative and hurtful which crushed Essie's heart since she could do nothing to stop it. Her family has never understood her feelings and so she learned at a young age to keep her thoughts and emotions to herself. Essie has decided that it is best for her to cut herself off from others, remain cold and composed in order to lessen the pain she feels. It doesn't really work but the poor girl is too tired and depressed to try finding another way. After being told that this is how it will be for so long, knowing there is no way out, Essie has finally resigned to her fate. She does what she can to try and enjoy her time while she has it which is why she has volunteered for the school transfer against the cries of disapproval from her family. In her mind she is already hurtling towards death so why not spice it up and add some fun into the mix, Baba Yaga has her whole life ahead of her, she can spare a year abroad and any dangers that might come with it. To be honest she is not opposed to the dangers because in her mind she is already dead one way or another.

Personality: When Einar was younger he was well known for being a brash and fearless man who was famed for jumping into a fight without much thought. He never doubted himself, had confidence the size of Mount Everest and an ego to match. He used his bravery and strength as well as his skill in dueling, for which he was said to be one of the best in the world and surely one of the best Durmstrang had ever produced, to blaze a career in the field of Auror work. He was known as a Viking among wizards, valiant and loyal as well as ferocious on the battlefield, it was said that along with his wand he carried an ax into every fight. He was a man who knew what he stood for and could not be dissuaded from what he believed to be right. If you met him now you might question the stories of the strategist and warrior he was. This famed and skilled wizard and fighter having become a passive old professor who would rather sit back and enjoy an old tome and some sweet rolls rather than duel. Backstory:
When Einar was a young Auror he felt he really only needed to worry about himself and thus didn't really care how many enemies he made along the way. In his mind, it was his concern and his concern alone who his enemies were since they would only be coming after him. He was a world-renowned Auror who was famed for both his dueling capabilities as well as his bravery in combat and his ability to lead. He did not send those who followed him into any situations that he was not on the front lines of facing himself. The way he worked and lived might have been reckless but it was exciting and brought a thrill that Einar craved and believed he could never want for anything more. When he met his wife Alva he spent his time courting her and she was the most amazing creature in the world in his eyes. She became his world and for once he started to put something/someone before his job as an Auror and his desire to stop the forces of darkness that existed in the wizarding world. When he and Alva started their family Einar really considered leaving his life as an Auror behind but kept getting pulled back into the rush and the excitement of it all. He would leave for days or weeks at a time then come home for days or weeks in order to spend time with his family. He foolishly believed he could have it all; that he could be a family man as well as the hand of justice without any repercussions. Such a thought process changed very quickly the day he was returning home from a job and found out several dark wizards he had imprisoned had broken out and decided to pay a visit to his family. By the time Einar managed to reach his home, it was too late. His wife and children had already been tortured under the Cruciatus curse for hours if not days. His wife had been forced against her will to torture and butcher their children when the Imperius curse was cast on her and while she had fought at first eventually the fight had been drained from her and she fell completely under the spell. This was the sight that greeted Einar when he came crashing into his house. He returned just in time to watch his wife be forced into slitting her own throat and that moment haunts his every heartbeat. That was the day that Einar broke, the day he lost everything including a great part of himself. He ended the lives of the wizards who did such a thing to his family and was found holding his family in his arms, a broken man grasping at the pieces of his life that had been ripped away from him. After that day Einar was never the same. He never returned to his work as an Auror and eternally regretted not having quit sooner as he had promised his wife that he would. Eventually, over the years Einar began to find some semblance of peace as he began to teach at Hogwarts. They originally tried to hire him as a Defense Against The Dark Arts professor but he decided he would rather teach History of Magic in hopes of better reaching his students through the use of the past so that they could learn from the accomplishments and mistakes of those before them. Every day Einar is haunted by his mistakes that led to his family being slaughtered but he has become focused on trying to help craft a better future for the students he now cares so greatly for.

Before Sienna was born her mother and father met during a mission to study vampires. The two grew close over the long months of the expedition and became very intimate which resulted in the creation of Sienna. When her mother told her father about the pregnancy the young man fled his responsibilities to the pregnant woman and was never heard from again. Sienna’s mother was devastated and became determined that she would be the best single parent ever and give Sienna all the love she could to make up for her absent father. It was an admirable goal that Sienna learned about from her Grandfather who raised her when her mother tragically died during childbirth. Sienna’s grandfather, the caretaker and groundskeeper for Hogwarts, took on the pledge that his daughter had made and made sure to give Sienna all the love of both her missing parents plus his own. Personality: Saber is so very much unlike his little sister in several ways but when it comes to his heart he is just as kind and gentle as she is. His two greatest weaknesses are his playboy nature and the confidence he never seems to run out of.   APPEARANCE: The way Lisianth looks is telling of tradition he seeks to embody; each wave of a curl and every thread of a fabric are but pieces in elaborate mosaics. Sure, the uninitiated may consider it to be loftiness for loftiness' sake, but Lisianth is particular in all things he does, appearances included, so meaning and reason underline all. In comparison with most other students, his robes are rather formal—be they outerwear, indoorwear or schoolwear—yet he wears them informally, politeness, not ostentation, being the goal. Rigid dignity he clothes himself in is set off only by the thick brown hair that falls past his shoulders, the one and only aspect of his appearance that he leaves au naturel. Even then, Lisianth takes it upon himself to perfume his curls with stricking regularity, if only to parody the olden days, and treats them with his skill, falling just shy of elaborate hairstyles. His complexion is pale—full lips included—and his eyes, as if to play into a joke, are dark brown, either half-closed or half-bored. Of course, many would take his white visage for a stuck-up mask, but Lisianth is neither sickly nor prideful.   PERSONALITY: The name Sidnor smells like blood to most and iron to some, and their youngest, Lisianth, is hardly different. As expected of a wizard with "brilliant ancestry", especially of the high and mighty variety, he knows his way around etiquette... and knows it too well, at that. With all affairs, nevermind the other end's formality, Lisianth follows rules of polite conduct strictly and thoroughly. So severe is his adherence to procedure, it may appear as if he is getting ready to attend a Ministry ball when he is, in fact, simply making his way to the lake for a, quote, "evening promenade". Suffice to say, his daily regimen is notorious, especially when his calm demeanour is considered. Few can recall times when young Sidnor lost face, leading to a rumour that he does not have one at all, which culminated in the very rumour being dispelled—the faceless wizard in question bursting out laughing. It is true that Lisianth exaggerates his own propriety, but he's not one to leave good fun unappreciated or to respond to genuine feelings with bland nobility. When this much is understood, the rest of his complex etiquette, built upon the finest of traditions, appears to be a sort of play, enjoyable to Lisianth and, more often than not, entertaining to others. He uses manners to preserve a serene state of being, which, on the surface, is as easy as can be. But just like calm waters can belie a rough lakebed, the standard he upholds with effortless grace is built upon a strict set of morals, which conflict with just about anything. On the whole, Lisianth is true to his word, but there is cunning in the way he keeps this quality hidden, having no qualms with not involving himself in someone else's trouble if he doesn't have a personal interest. This doesn't mean that he is wholely egoistic, but it's hard to call him an altruist. His upbringing has made him protective of peace, after all, so he's more likely to remain in the background.

Besides the immediate family, Lisianth has many relatives among the pureblood lineages of Britain, such as the Blake siblings (Sebastian, Kiara and Adeline, his first cousins).
  BACKSTORY: Even though each and every Slytherin has ancestors to fall back on, said ancestors differ in power and renown. If prestige and history are considered, not many come close to the Most Auspicious House of Sidnor, an exalted dynasty that rose to prominence in the Middle Ages and has since remained a name evocative of pureblood pride. If money and influence are kept in mind, however, the majority of wizarding families outstep the "Most Disgraced" House of Sidnor, which has fallen apart in the current times and clings on to life by virtue of perseverance. The same perseverance defines every single wizard and witch who carry the proud name, after all, and Lisianth is much the same. To put it plainly, lineage and family mean to him something much more personal. Sure, his brilliant comportment, speech and knowledge rest on ancestral pride, but they don't stem from it. His aunt and grandfather have talked their way into providing for his education at Hogwarts, but their cunning wasn't what struck him. His mother, at last, used the family's influence to propel her son into the circles a Sidnor could expect to frequent, but it wasn't her ambition that he was impressed by. Ties, both strong and weak, allowed his family to survive even the darkest of days, and that is what he cherished in his younger years. That aunt Cory and grandpa Rey, who weren't able to attent Hogwarts back in the day, dreamed that he, their youngster, would one day experience the joy of normalcy. That mom, however distant she may be, didn't leave him on his own in high society, crafting a favourable impression of a wicked family's scion. That the ruined estate, which was protected by enchantments still, preserved the tapestry—the Flowers of Sidnor—and allowed him to remember his ancestors; those who fell to injustice, those who had vices, those who had done good deeds. That his time at Hogwarts, which is slowly coming to a close, allowed him to grow out of said ties, strengthening them in the process. That the sun is bright, that the grass is green, that the forests are large and that the lakes are clear. All ties, not always among humans, but always cherished. Everything else Lisianth keeps to himself, both about his past and his feelings, trying not to dwell on the fact that he, as a Sidnor, isn't well received outside Slytherin. Of course, he is something to be discarded, much like Dark Magic that brought his forefathers to ruin, and so Lisianth avoids conversations on the topic like dragon pox.

Personality: AJ is an incredibly confident young woman but her confidence doesn't come without merit. She studies hard and will spend hours pouring over old tomes and scrolls to gain an absolutely thorough understanding of any topic she has an interest in or that is assigned to her. Her photographic memory certainly helps but she wouldn't be able to memorize these facts and have this knowledge if she didn't put in the work of digging through countless books to find it in the first place. Backstory: AJ had the wonderful luxury growing up of living in two worlds. While her parents were unfortunately divorced they were at least civil with one another and thus AJ got to spend plenty of time with both. She stayed with her mother most of the time but every weekend and during holidays her mother would port-key them to France where AJ would get to visit with her father. Backstory: Brian grew up in a family of Ravenclaws and Slytherins who all were overachievers and cunning manipulators, being the youngest and seeing the signs in himself, he tried to keep this side of him at bay, but on occassionally he would lash out in little ways here and there. During his Sorting Ceremony the Hat nearly placed him into Slytherin due to this, but it offered to hide him in Hufflepuff where it proposed that he could lead the pack, so he chose Hufflepuff, and in his following second year he joined the Quidditch team as one of their chasers, with all of his wild maneuvers and out of the box thinking he gained quite a following, which fed the beast's ego. It wasn't until his fifth year that he met Kiara Blake and the two started a relationship, but rather quickly it became a very give and take, draining relationship so in an effort to save it he told her about why he acted the way he acted, but to no avail. They did remain friends though, and Brian felt a tinge of regret and guilt for how he treated her, something he didn't usually feel. So in his sixth year he started to pour in his DADA studies as a way to find a way to get rid of this beast inside him.

Both of her parents work in the Auror department so were hardly home.
