"I perfectly grasp my situation." Artemis said. "You're a bunch of pathetic thugs with nothing better to do than beat people up for money." Artemis put his hands in his pockets. "Not only that but you are at a disadvantage, as I have a Pokemon out and yours are still in your balls." Artemis looked at his Umbreon. "Athena?"

"Umbree!" The black pokemon said, releasing a cluster of pink and purple dots that flew around the thugs and Artemis. Any trainer with a decent knowledge would recognize the move as confuse ray. Artemis made a point of averting his eyes so as to avoid confusing himself. Covering his eyes with his arm, he ran towards where he had been walking before anyways, running around the thugs.

Blissfully unaware of Mino's shy nature and stiffened posture, Teal pulled a thick lock of hair away from his face and back into his loose ponytail. Mino and Sprout already seemed like great additions to his Kanto roster of friends, and they'd given him a reason to explore Saffron City too! Everything was off to a great start already, aside from his Problematic Purugly Plight. He'd have to get Boots in some sort of battle if he didn't want a repeat of the situation next time she was out of her ball... That was an issue for future-Teal, though; right now his focus was on making acquaintances.

Determined to not let this conversation come to an awkward end, Teal gestured to a bench just off the dock, "Do you want to go sit down? I've got some time to kill," A lifetime, really, "And we could talk about Kanto, and-" The shouting woman from before interrupted Teal, thankfully, as he feared his haphazard invitation might fall on unwilling ears—a realization that only became more apparent the more he talked.

When the bright-haired girl opened with an apology, Teal shot her an instant smile to show her that it wasn't an unwanted intrusion and he listened patiently as she explained the situation. When she finished by asking if he was witness to where her Aipom ran off to, Teal smiled and opted to give his two cents, "You don't need to apologize! Not to me, at least—it was my Pokemon that did the rampaging, after all. It sounds to me like Jitter and Boots were just playing~ Next time we should make sure they play somewhere nobody can get hurt, though, and somewhere they can't scare the pants off a florist and his adorable Leafeon." Teal gave the Leafeon in question and glance and a smile before looking back to the girl, "I didn't see, but I'd be more than happy to help track them down! I've got all day~" And the next day, and the next one, and the one after that... His smile faltered for a moment at the possibility of him not finding new adventures in Kanto, but he was quick to cover it up. If nothing else, he could always go challenge gyms.

Looking toward Mino and his Leafeon, Teal questioned, "Are you coming with? I'm sure Sprout wouldn't mind going for a walk in the woods, right 'lil guy?" Teal looked down at Sprout with a smile and moved to nudge him with his foot, something he did with Boots all the time when she was still a little Glameow.

It was hard not to shuffle uncomfortably before the eccentric young man, Mino and Sprout would've easily found. The both of them had to apply a constant conscious effort not to shift their feet around on the floor or stare off into the distance in an attempt to look like they were admiring the scenery- another two blatant signs the two were shying off from the conversation at hand. But even when they managed to look at Teal in the eyes, they could only do it for so long before their nerves kicked in and forced them look away for a moment to hurriedly gather the minuscule amount of courage they both had before glancing back. Sprout found himself being the luckier one of the two, as being unable to speak human would mean that he'd be dragged into less conversations than his unfortunate partner Mino would. Well, he'd be dragged into less human conversations. Conversations with other pokemon was something that Sprout also struggled with, and could only manage with close friends.

Before very long, the friendly Teal stood before the group suggested that they take a seat and talk, as the trainer had some time to kill. Mino, though hesitant, would've felt terribly guilty if he said no, given how friendly Teal was being to the both of them. Not many people would've found the strength to deny. It felt like a sin to simply excuse yourself and walk off, to leave this nice person behind and potentially hurt their feelings-- all whilst knowing that it was simply your inability to talk to people without feeling comfortable. The latter likely wouldn't of happened, but that was just Mino exaggerating the outcome of his own simple decline. Perhaps he felt selfish for how he was feeling. Regardless of which, Mino was preparing to agree to join Teal in a conversation before the young man was interrupted by that same Pink haired girl Mino and Sprout had been staring at in the distance. With the addition of another person, it was twice as hard to muffle the shifting.

The girl entered the conversation with an immediate apology, to which Teal had lapped up instantaneously without any hard feelings. He even followed up with an apology of his own, and a potential solution to the issue. Min also didn't hold anything against the pink haired girl, but he found his own mouth sealing itself tightly shut as the boy besides him had taken the reigns of the conversation. He didn't want to interrupt now, did he? No, he didn't. The lack of furrowed eyebrows and judgemental gazes from both Sprout and Mino would've indicated that they weren't angry either, so that was something.

Having had his name mentioned, Sprout pursed his lips and looked up at teal, before giving a small, shy smile. He gently pinned his ears to the back of his head out of impulse because of his shy disposition, but found that when Teal turned back to the girl with brightly coloured hair, his ears relaxed and returned to their slack, somewhat perky position on the top of his head, and his smile immediately disappearing. Sprout then forced another gentle smile and had his ears slightly pinned a second time after being nudged with a foot, feeling uncomfortable with such nice treatment- it wasn't that he didn't want it, not at all. It was just the attention aspect of it that made him almost shiver. Whilst Sprout had to face the attention head on, Mino gave a small nod.

"Sure." He said quietly. The boy glanced at his own forgotten bouquet and frowned for a moment, which was followed by a small puff of disappointment from Min, of which neither of the two stood in front of him would've heard. The bouquet delivery would have to wait for now, until they'd found the missing Aipom. Luckily for them, Mino had a good idea how to locate the pokemon without needing to scour every single area of Route 6, so it would've been best to get this done before the tracks the pokemon left behind became old or obscured. Pulling his attention away from his beautiful bouquet, he looked at the pink haired girl and opened his mouth to finally speak something other than a single word.

"Your Aipom fled into Route 6. There are lots of trees there, so it would've climbed onto those." He started. "Aipom tails are very strong, and they can often leave markings on trees that aren't adjusted to their presence, such as the trees in Route 6." Mino would've furrowed his eyebrows and frowned a little if he knew that the damage would've been severe to the trees, but a simple scratch or chunk of missing bark wasn't that bad for these trees. Perhaps if there were several hundred Aipom there would be a problem. Instead of frowning, he found himself imagining the potential markings on the trees, wether they be obvious or extremely subtle- that wouldn't be a problem for Min, anyhow.

"All we'll need to do is follow the trail."

Sandy had let a relaxed smile grow on her lips, successfully hiding the relief in her relaxed posture - though, the relief and gratitude of both trainers' understanding of the situation was practically pouring out of her eyes. She chuckled at Teal's suggestion for both Jitter and Boots to play somewhere that wouldn't risk injury to other people, nor frighten the trainer and his Leafeon. At least, she thought it was those two, Teal was referring to. The Leafeon gave it away. Though, Sandy paused at Teal's offer to join in the hunt for the audacious Aipom running riot outside the City, no doubt. "Oh, it's okay, you don't have to..." Though, she trailed off, considering the offer. A few more pairs of eyes never hurt, right? She even cast a curious look to the trainer Teal addressed. Her lips parted for a moment, blinking, before she grinned at the two who had confirmed their sign-ups for Jitter's Search Party.

Sandy hadn't expected much else from the conversation, and expected to start leading the expedition around Vermillion City whilst introducing herself. Though, that proved to be a tad early as the conversation was far from over. She twisted around to Mino, alert, and clearly unsuspecting that the more quieter of the trainers would be one to continue the conversation. Though, the dancer was glad he did, as a brightness radiated in her eyes and she couldn't help but smile once again. "Oh, I'm so glad you mentioned that. There I was thinking we would be scouring Vermillion City for the rascal," she admitted, rubbing the back of her neck. Though she never seemed to comment on it, nor maintain an expression of interest during Mino's explanation, she found the knowledge Mino had relayed to her rather fascinating. She knew Jitter was a strong little guy; she just didn't think it would be so strong to mark tree branches.

In fact, her relaxed nature around the whole situation was rather abnormal. For a girl who just lost her Aipom for the...Arceus knew how many times it had been, she seemed relatively calm about it. She really should have been wrapping her arms around the florist like Teal had earlier, but her way of gratitude was a lot more casual, she would admit.

Listening to the explanation Mino gave, she hummed. "Perfect. Then we'll find Jitter in no time at all," she grinned, sticking her hands back into her pockets again as she turned on her heel. "The sooner we find him, the sooner we can put on that dance performance," she resolved, already humming a tune to herself - most likely the one she would use that afternoon, and sauntered on ahead. Though, Sandy seemed to remember herself, and halted. She spun back on her heels, before resuming her walk backwards, expecting the two to follow along naturally. "The name's Sandy, by the way. You had the more unique introduction from Jitter, but I'm sure he'll be willing to introduce himself properly," she explained, before her eyes wandered between both Teal and Mino.

"Didn't catch your names. I have a feeling I might need to know them," the dancer chuckled, rolling her shoulders back. She had settled back into her laid back stance rather easily around the two, and much quicker than expected after the chaos that had erupted.

Rick let out a audible gasp when he saw the dots and said to the rest of the crew," Yo man! It's a Confuse Ray! Cover your eyes unless you want to be running into walls!" The three then covered their eyes and waited until the attack was over. Mackey, after opening his eyes, immediately ran over to Artemis and grabbed him by the shirt collar and said to him with a snarl,

"That's it squirt! I am gonna pound ya so hard that yer Mama ain't gonna recognize ya!"
He then attempted to punch Artemis in the face. Meanwhile, Patty looked at Athena in anger and tried to kick her, while saying,

Teal's smile broke for a moment when the female trainer said it was unnecessary for him to join her in finding her Pokemon, but he opted to disregard her remark when Mino spoke. Teal was ecstatic to hear that not only were Mino and Sprout going to be tagging a long, but Mino was bringing a plan along with him! Quite the package deal, he thought, and the pink-haired girl appeared to harbor the same feeling of relief. Though he didn't necessarily dread the idea of exploring the forests of a foreign region with two strangers, if Mino and Sprout helped them clear the issue up quicker then they could fill the time with other fun things! Maybe Mino and Sprout would let him walk them to Saffron City later? He didn't know how far of a trek that would be, or if Mino and Sprout were even planning on heading back that way before sunset, but it was worth asking! He tucked the idea away for later, though. He had an Aipom to find.

It did seem like the other two had more to offer the expedition, though... Mino had some basic knowledge of tracking Pokemon, and this girl knew her Pokemon a lot better than he did. He always hated coming in last, and with each step they took it felt more and more like that's the situation he was in. If they ran into any wild Pokemon, though, he'd be sure to have it handled! This close to a town, though, he doubted that would be an issue. It'd be nice to get Boots out to play for a bit longer, too, especially since they were already walking, but she clearly wasn't in the greatest of moods. That didn't leave much to do aside from be dragged along by the other two. At the very least he could make half-decent conversation!

"Dance performance? Huh, I had you pegged for a Pokemon trainer, for sure," Teal muttered, a twinge of disappointment coming through. Kanto would be filled of trainers, though, and even more unique Pokemon—if she wasn't one of them it wasn't the end of the world. Just a little disappointing. He slipped into a bit of a slouch, but kept moving.

Teal screeched to a halt with a semi-surprised look on his face when the leader of the group stopped and turned, giving them her name and asking for theirs. Choosing to seize the moment in an attempt to bring his bubbly let's-make-friends mood back, Teal straightened his back and forced a smile, "I'm Teal! It's nice to meet you, Sandy~" Teal glanced over at Mino and Sprout, and, with a slightly more genuine smile, he turned back to Sandy, "Those two are Mino and Sprout," He introduced the two, hoping it wouldn't backfire on him. Mino seemed to be a bit on the shyer side, and Sprout wasn't capable of introducing himself, so Teal made the decision to do it for them.

"Oh, shoot! Ah, Mino is the bigger one, Sprout is the leafier one. Sorry." Teal cursed himself for a moment, but powered through, "Come on! Who knows what that Aipom is getting up to out there!" Teal attempted to rectify his perceived mistake by walking off in the direction of Route 6, hoping to leave that awkward moment behind him. The sun was still shining, the waves were still waving and the birds were still chirping; the world was still beautiful, and he was determined to go enjoy it.

Mino had paused for a moment when he'd heard the mention of a dance performance. Though he wasn't quite one to understand how somebody could proudly prop themselves up on display on a stage for all to marvel at, he still fancied the idea of a little entertainment.. maybe. Min's respect for the girl had found itself a little more than it was a few moments ago since she'd notioned that she and her Aipom partner would be entertaining an onlooking audience. Perhaps if the flower shop back in Saffron City was lax and there wasn't a bustling mass of customers at the door, then he'd tag along and watch the dancing from a distance. A little spice to a repeated regime was something that everyone needed every once in a while. It wasn't that Min got bored of floristry-- no, not at all. Rather, doing the same thing day in and day out without any other form of entertainment, such as this performance, made work far more repetitive than it should've been. He needed a break, anywho.

Before long, Sandy began to strut off, which naturally prompted Sprout, Mino and Teal to follow-- to which they all did. The florist and his pokemon hurried along to catch up. Mino and Sprout's steps had smaller gaps between them and almost completely mute in their footsteps, due to how light they were. The both of them shuffled rather than strode. They followed like loyal Growlithes. Shy, loyal Growlithes. It took even shorter than it did for Sandy to wander off to turn around to face the trio and request for their names. Ah, yes. The more pressing issue of a missing Aipom had wiped the introduction of the other two strangers straight from the new ragtag group's mind. Mino paused for a moment to assemble the words in his mind, and found that when he'd just barely managed to open his mouth to speak, someone else's voice came out. In actuality, Teal had taken the initiative and spoke for the whole lot, to which Min had hurriedly pursed his lips together to zip himself shut and found himself gently digging his nails into his bouquet in a nervous manner. Luckily for him, he hadn't let out even the tiniest of a peep to have made itself obvious that he was interrupted. But hey; Teal was certainly right about the grassy duo appreciating a free introduction. He was more than glad to stay quiet and not have to talk rather than speak up and potentially fumble on his words. It was a slippery slope to embarrassment when he stuttered on his words.

A few minutes had passed before all four of them had made their way into the awaiting Route 6, a mischievous fifth member somewhere hidden in the nearby foliage. As soon as Min and Leafeon had taken foot onto the lush green grasses of the Route, their attention quickly turned to the surrounding trees. They fell deathly silent, and their almost mute footsteps against the grass made it feel as if they weren't even following behind both Teal and Sandy at all. Rather, they had simply stayed behind and likely fled from the interactions to the safety of wherever else. But no, they were here, with their eyes hurriedly scanning each and every single tree that came into their line of site with precision that could even envy a pokemon with Keen Eye, determined to find any little sign, any little abnormality that hinted at a foreign pokemon. Whilst they stared off into the vegetation in complete silence, it allowed for Teal and Sandy to talk for a while and fill the void. Min and Sprout didn't seem like they'd be offering any form of conversation any time soon, anyways.

"There."

It'd taken them maybe 5 minutes or less of walking around before the quiet Min spoke up. The boy paused in his footsteps, having spotted a nearby oak tree with markings on its branches. It took him a moment to readjust his trajectory and walk up to the tree he'd focused his eyes on, his vision fixated on a small abnormality on a tree. Sprout followed behind, also having noticed the small markings on the tree. Min, upon reaching the base of the tree, reared his head and stared up at the injured branch. He was looking at.. nothing? Well, it was nothing to the untrained eye. Perhaps if one was perceptive enough, they'd notice that the green haired florist was staring right at a small, raw wound on the tree's branch. Its bark was rubbed off, exposing its fleshy interior. It almost looked like the equivalent of having somebody's arm rubbed sore, with all that exposed flesh of the bark. He and his pokemon had their eyes fixated on that wound for a while, as they clearly contemplated the wound.

".. It's fresh." Min finally spoke up, before he and Sprout started to glance around the nearby area at the same time, looking for the next clue in their little treasure hunt for Jitter. Sprout's ears were perked upright with a renewed interest as they occasionally pricked in the air. Both of them were suddenly far more attentive of their surroundings than they were a minute ago. 'It's fresh' was just an indirect way of saying 'Jitter is nearby', which likely would've come as a relief to Sandy. It didn't take very long for both the florist and his trusty eeveelution to spot another bark wound on a nearby tree. And another. And another, following that. The two of them, whilst staring up with their eyes fixated on the various wounds of the trees, began to hurriedly walk in the direction of the injured tree branches, following the heating trail. The duo took the lead of the group inadvertently, focused more on finding the pokemon rather than following behind. They were onto something.

Fisticuffs. How uncivilized. Nobody had respect for a proper Pokemon battle. Not that Artemis had ever had a Pokemon battle before. He still figured it was more civilized.

All these thoughts were things Artemis was actually having rather than the normally expected thoughts of "oh god someone help me!" This was because Artemis didn't really have a concept of "danger" having never actually been in it before. The closest he had ever come were some schoolyard bullies back in elementary school. And even then they hadn't been actually scary. Just a couple of idiots looking to make people's lives miserable. No different that the pathetic saps in front of him, really.

"Any chance we can settle this like civilized people?" Artemis asked, completely calm. "With a Pokemon battle, perhaps."

Artemis braced himself for a face punching. While he had no concept of danger he did have a concept of people being too stubborn to change their mind. Artemis was more or less resigned to his fate.

"Umbree!"

Athena! Artemis thought.

He saw just past the thug holding him. One of those bastards had just kicked Athena. That was not going to stand. While Artemis was normally relatively weak physically, the sight of Athena being hurt with malicious intent gave him a strength boost, along with sending him into a rage. Artemis kicked free of the bastard holding him and ran over to Athena.

"Are you okay?" He asked the little Pokemon.

"Umbree." Athena said, standing up in a defensive stance.

"Thank Arceus! Alright! Use stored power!"

While Stored Power was usually an attack move it also created a pretty fancy light show. Depending on how much power the user was putting into it the light show got bigger, brighter, and fancier. And with the amount of power Athena was putting into her light show, it essentially served as a flare that the whole city could see.

"The cops will be here any moment now." Artemis said, returning to calm. "I suggest you run. Though I would prefer if you turned yourself in."

Calling the Cops on: Killerclown Killerclown

Chaos broke as the roof of the Pokémon Center caved in, and Cross had jump away as it came down, separating her from Latte.

“VANILLA? Latte?” She shouted to the blockage squinting through the dust to see if he was okay. “... did he say if he preferred one or the other?”
She looked up when her Meganium stomped over her to her, crying worriedly and sniffing her trainer, looking her over I a fuss.
“Luna, I’m fine. Where’s Clark?”
The Dratini stuck his head out from the ring of petals around Luna’s neck, having been firmly nestled in there when the roof collapsed. He was shaking like a leaf, poor thing.

“Oh, my little baby, come here, come sit back in mama’s hood.” She plucked the Dragon-type from the pink petals and let the little guy sip back into her hood when a voice spoke from the settling dust.
“Isn’t that cute?” A man in dark gray clothes with a big red R walked through the rubble, with a “laughing” Murrow perched on his shoulder.

“... oh my Lugia, really? Didn’t you guys get beat up by a ten year old twelve years ago?” Cross said, crossing her arms over her chest with a sigh.
“Hey! You don’t hear me bringing up your shortcomings!” The man shouted defensively, then shook the Murkow off angrily.
“You don’t know anything about me!” She shouted back indignantly.
“Oh, but that’s where you’re wrong, Professor.” That caught her attention. “We know quite a bit about you... Murkrow, NIGHT SHADE!”

The black bird in the air flapped it’s wings up and released a wave of murky blue-purple darkness, which Cross and Luna has to jump out of the way of.
“Luna, get back! Start clearing that rubble!” Cross reaches in her Pokeball pocket and brought another out. Luna took the instructions and began to clear a path through the fallen roof with her vines. The

“Nikki!” The Vulpix appeared in a flash and stood at attention almost immediately, looking to her trainer for instructions.
Cross held a hand up with pointer and middle lip extended, tapped her lower lip twice before flicking them outward. It took a moment for her to understand the gesture, but suddenly her snapped to the side, locked her eyes on her swooping target, took a deep breath, and blew out a pretty decently sized Flamethrower.

Once the big green Pokémon moved the rubble to the side, Luna found a massive Onix facing off against one very inexperienced Growlithe and a terrified looking mister Latte. Know her trainer was a bit preoccupied, she takes a bit of initiative and deals with this problem now. The Grass-Type rushes out in front of the pair, eyes aglow as she screeched, leaves whipping inside from out and beginning to scewered the rock creature till it groaned and fell over. That being done, the Meganium turned to Latte and his Growlithe and cracked a big smile.

At which point Cross and Nikki walked out of the dust with a thoroughly toasty Murkrow AND Rocket grunt in her hands. Swirly eyes and everything.

“... well, glad this was taken care of.”

Sandy had pondered on the muttering before she turned, and the almost surprised look that popped up in his eyes and his slightly slouched posture gave her more to ponder on. Did he not like the idea of a dance performance? She hoped that wasn't the case at all. Even if it was, she supposed she couldn't change what a person enjoyed or didn't take to. Regardless, she smiled, and chuckled at Teal's apparent mistake. She could manage to tell which of the two would have what name, so Teal's correction hadn't been needed, but was a slight source of amusement. "Don't be sorry. Teal, and Mino and Sprout. Gotcha. It's nice to meet you guys, too," she smiled, making a note of those names in that memory bank of hers, before to Teal's beckoning to find Jitter.

Soon enough, they found themselves on Route 6, with Sandy sauntering on ahead to a nearby tree. She stood on her tiptoes, squinting through the tree's afro of leaves. Her manner was so relaxed that it looked as if her searching was entirely half-assed. Though, the frown she wore as she contemplated revealed it was much more than that. She sighed, scratching her head. "Where could he have run off to?" She inclined her head towards Teal as she explained, "Jitter always was full of energy. I'm surprised he didn't take up your Purugly's offer to play." Sandy would admit, it had been a good week or so since they had last battled another trainer or battled any wild Pokémon. Most of the time she saved up her tips from her performances, and she risked battling trainers to earn some extra Pokédollars on top of them so she could grab a place to stay and a bite to eat. Unfortunately, this lifestyle wasn't always suited to Jitter. Even though he loved to dance alongside his trainer, he got a visible rush from battling. Sandy sighed again at such thoughts, and resolved, "Guess I need to let him battle it out more."

Sandy twirled round when she could hear Min pointing something out. She was embarassed to admit to herself that she had forgotten about Mino and Sporut's presence, considering they were both as quiet as a Mincinno. Or at least, a very quiet and shy Mincinno. Rather than rush over, she strolled over to his side, hoping that he had found the apish little thing hiding and laughing among the foliage. She kept a hopeful expression on her face as her eyes darted from one part of the tree to another, before back to Mino. Where was he? She assumed that Mino would have found him. Sandy held back the disappointment threatening to bring her lips into a frown, and tried to focus on what Mino was completely enraptured by.

A branch. Sandy blinked, squinting as she struggled to picture what it was that they were looking at. A singular branch. Sandy guessed she was missing something, so she waited for Mino to explain what it was he had found. Instead, there was silence. Both the trainer and his Leafeon were keenly inspecting the branch, whilst Sandy stood there, squinting at it, and drawing complete blanks. Eventually, Mino spoke up again, talking vaguely about whatever it is they found, before he and Sprout left the oak tree they expressed so much interest in. "W-wait, Mino, what are you...?" Sandy stood in a confused stupor, watching the two of them go to inspect yet another tree. Sandy backed up to the base of the tree where Mino had planted himself, squinting again. It was only after a more thorough search did she noticed a marking in the branch. Sure, it wasn't obvious, but it was a slight grazing on the bark in Sandy's perspective. Which could only mean...

Sandy jogged after the trainer and his leafy companion, a grin making itself apparent on her face. "So, Jitter must have been swinging across these trees..." She pointed out the obvious after Mino had discovered this first, but she was so relieved at finally coming to such a conclusion herself. "Nice job, you two! We'll find him in no time at all." She followed him and the Pokémon for a few tree lengths before she paused, hearing a faint rustling. Swerving, her head had been pointed in each and every direction. "Did you guys hear that?" Her voice was hushed, afraid to raise it for fear the Jitter would scuttle off and lead them on a longer chase.

Then, hollering, hooting. Squawking too? It was distant, but it was clear Sandy recognised the noises of her companion even if they were so far away. She walked a few brisk steps before stopping, listening again.

Jitter.

The Aipom grew tired of waiting around. That chunky cat had found itself another target to swipe at, so, there was little need for Jitter to hang around and wait for them. He did think about returning to Sandy's side, he really did, but a flock of Pidgeys diverted Jitter entirely from the notion. With that, he couldn't help but bound to each tree, swinging from branch to branch in pursuit of the Pidgeys. Mind you, was by no means stealthy; he laughed and cheered, "Pom-Pom, Aipom!" in a state of glee. He landed on a branch before he dropped below it, gripping onto it with his more nimble fingered hand. Jitter squinted, defending his poor eyes with a stumpy furred hand as he scanned the next tree over for any sign of the Pidgeys. "Pom..." Jitter slumped in disappointment. He was about to swing himself back onto the branch to ponder over his next plan of action, only to see something swoop above him.

The Aipom glanced up above him, blinking and hooting in a curious manner. When he finally brought his gaze back down, however, a Pidgey squawked at him, darting right towards him. Jitter had barely ducked under the Pidgey, and once it had passed, worriedly moved its gaze around...only to find several more Pidgeys had surrounded the tree. The Aipom bounded into the leafage, hoping it would prove some difficulty for the birds to get inside and attack him. Though, he was proven wrong, as already several of the Pidgeys advanced into the tree to search for him. That was when further squawking and further shrieks from the Aipom had erupted in Route 6.

The Stored Power went off as expected, emitting a large light show visible from block around. Police sirens could be heard in the distance as the three young men looked around panicked. Rick looked to the other two and said to them in a panicked voice,
"Run for it man, the cops are coming!"

The three young men then proceeded to attempt to run down the street, But, as the three ran, Patty suddenly tripped on his own shoelaces, falling flat on his face. As he laid their groaning in pain, the other two just continued running, trying to get away from the cops.

Teal brightened up a bit at Sandy's mention of letting Jitter battle more often, a statement which suited to further fuel the concept in Teal's head that Boots and Jitter were sure to become friends—or better yet, rivals! The idea excited him more than he'd admit. What a shame it was, though, that his other two Pokemon would likely remain in their balls for some time... He hardly ever let them out. He wasn't fond of bugs or their Pokemon counterparts, not in the slightest, but the idea of leaving his two Pokemon out of his adventures for so long gave him a gross feeling. What kind of a trainer would he be if he set up play-dates for one of his Pokemon, but not the other two? Not one to play favorites, Teal began fishing through his bag while the trio walked in order to find the underused Pokeballs. Really, his Ninjask and Shedinja only ever came out for battles, and even then it was always as the backup for Boots. It was something he did knowingly, but part of him felt that if he felt bad it'd make up for the neglect. That part of him was undoubtedly wrong.

Teal paused his search when Mino and Sprout came to a stop, having picked up on some sort of trail. Although not wholly uninterested in Mino's tracking, or Sandy's observations, Teal was focused on a different matter at the moment—that is, proving he was a good trainer to his Pokemon. He went back to rummaging through his bag and blindly following the other two.

Just as Teal's fingers brushed one of the balls he was searching for, a series of shrieks and squeals caught his attention. His head shot up, and he looked at Sandy for her reaction to judge whether or not it was her Jitter. She asked if they heard the same thing she did, which Teal felt could go unanswered verbally when he pulled two Pokeballs from his bag and took off in the direction of the noises. He didn't know whether or not the other two had Pokemon other than Sprout, and it sounded like they were running into a huge cluster of Pokemon, so he felt they could use all the help they could get. Given that information, Teal pondered over the ball he kept in the most accessible pocket of his bag... But, given where his head was at, he figured he'd save Boots for later. He'd rather let the other two out to play on their own for a bit first.

Within a minute, Teal found a tree that was more Pidgey than leaf, with a speck of purple visible every few seconds if you looked in the right spot. Without a second thought, Teal threw the two Pokeballs he held down on the grass between him and the tree. A Ninjask and a Shedinja each popped out of their respective balls and eagerly took flight before looking toward their trainer for guidance.

"I need you two to fly into that tree and find the Aipom. His name is Jitter, and he needs our help," Teal started, hoping his Pokemon would be able to pick out the useful information, "Grohst, I want you to soak up as many hits for him as you can, and let Gross do the heavy lifting. Gross, I need you to take down as many Pidgeys as you can with your Metal Claw. Good luck! Go!" Teal yelled commands at his two lesser-used Pokemon over the sound of flapping wings and pecking beaks. Within moments, the two had turned and flew up into the tree and out of sight. Luckily, those two were considerably more obedient than Boots ever was...

Latte wasn't used to being saved, but that didn't mean he wasn't grateful. He swore he was going to die, ploughed to death with a massive two horned Onix, but then, at the very last moment, a Meganium appeared from the rubble and took it down with a glowing rainbow colored leaf. Will wonders never cease.

The Rocket grunt withdrew his pokemon and ran, he glared at Latte and Cross, "next time," and bolted.

"Oh no you don't!" Latte cried out, "Cafe, after him!" The duo bolted, if the Rocket member was out of pokemon then they could capture him! The grunt looked panicked as he ran right out the giant hole he had made. He was gaining distance on them, but he had nothing on the speed of a Growlithe. Cafe was practically on his ankle in seconds.

"Cafe! Bite!" Latte cried, the pokemon unhinged it's jaw and leaped forward, biting into his cafe muscles.

"AH!" the grunt cried out as he tripped and fell.

Latte and Cafe stepped around him, both glaring down and the whimpering grunt who held his bleeding leg in pain. "Alright then," Latte asked squatting down, his eyes narrowed, "tell me where your base is, now, and I won't have Cafe here bite you again."

"Okay! Okay! Just get away from me!" the grunt cried out.

"Stand down boy," Latte nodded, Cafe growled, but slowly moved back.

"Mount Moon," the grunt replied, pulling his torso up with one hand while the other went down to his leg, "the base is in Mount Moon."

"Mount moon is a big place, can you be any more specific?" Latte raised an eyebrow.

"The Northern face, it's there. Deep inside," he panted, "will you let me go now?"

"You blew up a hospital shit head, what do you think?" Latte narrowed his eyes, grabbing him by the arm pit, pulling him to his feet, "I'm making a citizen's arrest. The cops will be here soon, they can have you."

The grunt snorted,"your stupid if you think that's going to change anything kid. We control everything! We have eyes everywhere! Just you watch! I'll be out in a few hours!"

"I doubt that."

"I will, my name is Trent, I fought Red himself boy, mark my words. Next time we meet, you're dead!" the grunt cried out. Latte didn't like this, not one bit. He took the grunt back tot he pokecenter where already he could see red and blue lights begin to arrive on the scene.

He spotted Cross there with her pokemon, another unconscious Grunt in hand and a burnt looking Pokemon Latte could barely recognize as a Murkrow. She was....well, frankly amazing. He had no doubt in his mind that out of the two of them she knew far more about pokemon and care more for them than he ever could. Which is why he would need her help if he even had a hope of stopping Team Rocket.

If Trent the Grunt was telling the truth then the police couldn't be trusted with this information, if they were on the take then they would just warn the members of Team Rocket hiding in Mount Moon and give them a chance to run away before anyone arrives to arrest them. No....if they were going to be brought to justice he would need to do it.

And hopefully....Cross would agree to help out.

Save for a gentle nod an occupied Mino gave to a pondering Sandy when she'd made the obvious remark that her trusty purple monkey was swinging across the treetops, the florist didn't interact with the group much at all. If anything, he was interacting more with the trees than the people. With such minuscule details in the towering flora, he couldn't allow for a distraction. He risked getting thrown off of the trail or risked allowing Jitter to further his one monkey journey, to which neither he wanted. He'd much rather find the monkey, get back to Vermillion city, deliver the bouquet and maybe watch that performance Sandy was going to throw. The latter of Mino's schedule really depended on wether or not this was going to be draining. At the moment, it didn't seem like that in the slightest. If anything, it seemed as if that the group was going to soon stumble across that mischievous Aipom and be on their merry way.

That was until the very prospect of being able to get out of the Route without a fuss was hurriedly swept under the rug, following some form of disturbance in the canopy. There was some kind of rally going on, certainly. The foreign hooting and hollering was a telltale sign of an Aipom, but the addition of angry bird screeching was also a telltale sign of danger, knowing how much of a disturbance bird pokemon often proved themselves to be. Mino immediately paused in his tracks, with a shying Sprout also doing the same. They kept their eyes focused directly on the treetops, whilst their mind hurriedly scoured for the name of the bird pokemon that was making that cry-- to which the both of them both tensed up when they remembered what pokemon made those horrid screams. Pidgeys. It had to be Pidgeys. Of course it had to be one of the most common, most annoying and most aggressive things out there. They were nuisances. The both of them bit their lower lips gently upon reaching that conclusion, with their eyes now trailing across the branches above them, completely disregarding the bread crumb trail of damaged branches that the Aipom had laid out for them. Now instead of looking for the Aipom, the two of them found themselves looking for any sign of attacks directed at them. They were right under a group of those irritating birds, for sure. What they weren't so sure about was how they'd wandered into such tense territory without realising it. It was likely due to their investment in the Jitter search-- which was feeling more like a search and rescue now that the Pidgeys were clustered on various different trees around them, likely screaming at whatever foreign pokemon dared wander into their territory.

It took a moment before the two spied a tree that was coated in various familiar brown feathers. Their attention immediately turned to that tree. Jeez, he'd never seen such a flock before. Jitter was certainly in there, but Min couldn't know for certain how alive the monkey would be by the time they got him back. Sprout shied away behind Mino's leg, having recalled that flying type moves hurt it a lot more than regular moves. In most cases, Min would've simply had to walk away instead of risk getting swooped by such a massive hoard, as he and his pokemon didn't like battling. Not only that, but Sprout only had one damaging move; Seed Bomb. They could've tried Grass Whistle, but that was only about a 55% chance of working. Now, given the sheer size of the hoard.. danger still would've lingered after the use of the sleep inducing move. And danger would've been infuriated by the disturbance.

Not having noticed the two bug pokemon float up to the treetops, Min turned his head to the other two trainers, both to gauge their reactions and to see if either of them had a plan. He had a nervous, telling expression on his face that blatantly spelt out 'this is really dangerous'.

Jitter screeched the entire time inside that tree. He had been blindly swiping at anything that tried to peck at him or scratch him with razor sharp talons, though, to no avail. Being surrounded by those Pidgeys, no less in a crowded tree, made it difficult for Jitter to see anything or gauge anything in front of him. Just when a Pidgey was about to Tackle the Aipom out of the tree completely, a quick motion cut through the air and right at the Pidgey. One Metal Claw had hit, sending the bird tumbling out of the tree and out of Jitter's vicinity. When the Aipom noticed the attack never came, he realised he had been saved by both Ninjask and a Shedinja, and bounced with relief at their appearance.

Though, none of them were out of the woods yet, as another two Pidgeys had entered into the tree. They switched their targets to the two Bug Pokémon, clearly understanding them as interfering to their beatdown of the Aipom. Both dove right at Gross and Grohst, hoping to land some sort of Tackle on them to get them out of the way.
When Sandy had followed hastily behind Teal to the tree, the flock of birds surrounding it make her stomach churn. Pidgeys. A whole flock of them. Darting in and out the tree which trembled with every movement against it. Jitter was hidden amongst the leaves; Sandy could barely spot a three-handed tail swishing in amongst the greenery and the browned feathers. She attempted to maintain a calm visage, to not show that inside, she was well and truly panicking over the situation. She breathed in deeply. Jitter's a fighter. He can hold his own... Though, she found herself doubting that statement. It was a terrible thing to think, but against this many Pidgeys? Who knew what chance he had?

A flash prompted Sandy to turn towards it, finding two more Pokémon appearing before Teal. Bug-Types? She struggled to identify them, and frankly, hadn't much time to after their trainer gave them orders and sent them off. Though, it reminded the dancer of her own backups. Reaching into the inside pockets of her jacket, she lifted out two Pokéballs, before she too, released two more Pokémon into the fray. Trance, a Spinda who was already twirling unsteadily as she came out of her Pokéball, and Slick, a Lickilicky, whose tongue stuck to the grassy surface, awaited Sandy's commands.

"Guys, Jitter's in trouble! I need you to listen closely." Sandy began. "There's already two Pokémon in there helping Jitter out, but we need to distract those Pidgeys surrounding the tree!" Sandy turned to Trance first, though, had to put her hands on her shoulders so she wouldn't twirl and get herself more confused in her dizziness. "Trance, stand near that tree and use Uproar to attract their attention!" Trance responded with an almost slurred and dizzied sound before she tottered off to her position, swaying as she did. Turning to Slick, Sandy warned him, "You get the harder job. If any Pidgeys go after Trance, I need you to use your tongue and your Lick attack to keep them back!" The Lickilicky didn't give an affirmative; rather, it turned, and was on its merry way to Trance's side. Sandy exchanged looks between both Teal and Mino, before she expressed her own warning to them. "Cover your ears! Trance can get a little on the loud side!" We got this, she was trying her hardest to convey in her expression as she nodded between the two trainers. She really hoped they did have this in the bag...

With Trance in position, and Slick right beside her to defend her, she attempted to use her Uproar. It consisted of her normal cries of 'La' and 'Da', though, increased an ear-splitting volume. Slick beside her would have trouble keeping himself poised and at the ready if the attack was executed, but at least she would stop every so often to take a breather.

Watching the grunt run off, Cross had nothing but a cold, neutral stare as he ran off.

“... alright ladies, that’s enough.” She said, turning to her two Pokémon, who turned to look at her. “Can’t have you running around in the rain, so into the Pokéball you go.”

The Vulpix whined, but vanished in a flash of light when Cross recalled her, with the Meganium soon to follow. Cross even forced in her fidgety Dratini into his Pokéball after a minute’s struggle and argument.

“... If Team Rocket is doing something in Mount Moon, then someone has to stop them. Who knows what they could be trying to do...” she mumbled, pacing back and forth, talking more to herself than anything, “Imagine if they tried to do something with the Clefairy up there...”

She looked out the hole in the wall at the rain that was pouring down and sighed, considering her options. “... maybe we should stay here and wait for a Jenny to get here? They will be expecting an explanation...” She rubbed her chin, then looked down at the unconscious Team Rocket Grunt and his Murkrow.

“... then again, I’d hate to get blamed for this. How about we leave you here?” She said to the unconscious grunt, who only groaned in pain as she dragged him over to an unharmed wall and leaned him against it, placing the knocked out Murkrow in his lap. “I’m sure Nurse Joy and Officer Jenny will love to hear whatever it is you have to say. I’m sure the big red R will get you bonus points.”

Slowly reaching back, Cross pulled her hood over her head and tucked her hair inside, adjusting all her clothes as she stepped out into the rain.

“You coming, Vanilla?” She asked Latte, looking over her shoulder at him with a raised eyebrow.

It didn't take long for the police to arrive on the scene. As two officers arrested the fallen thug the Officer Jenny of this town questioned Artemis about what happened... and also scold him about collateral damage and disturbing the peace.

"You could have done some serious damage!" She scolded him. "What would have happened then?"

"It's fine. There wasn't any destructive power behind the attack." Artemis said in defense. "Me and Athena have gotten very good at calculating exactly how much power to put into an attack at any given time. This was merely intended to be a distress flare."

"I don't care! Someone could have got hurt!" Officer Jenny said. "And besides that, I got fifteen noise complaints because of this. You're lucky I'm not fining you for disturbing the peace."

After a few more minutes of lecturing and Artemis agreeing not to do what he did again or, at the very least, not do it in the middle of a crowded city, Artemis went back on his way. Finally he could actually achieve his goal.

A few minutes later...

Artemis couldn't help but sigh with relief once he reached the Pokemon Center. There was no way something crazy would happen there. Well, actually he presumed there probably was a statistical probability that something could happen, but Artemis didn't really have the time to sit down and calculate that probability.

The sliding doors opened as Artemis approached and he walked on in. The Pokemon Center was, as per usual for such a building, decorated with a Red and White color scheme, just like a Pokeball. The building was just one floor, as it had been ever since they had discontinued the cable club. At the back wall was the desk with Nurse Joy behind it, healing some Pokemon. Around the center were various establishments, a Pokemart, a restaurant and cafe, and, of course, several phone booths. Artemis headed over to one of the booths and slipped one Pokeyen into it. He dialed his number and plugged his phone in as he waited for the rings to stop and his mom to pick up.

Calling: his mom.

If anyone were to have struggled to locate Jitter, those petrified shrieks and hollers would've easily pointed them to their destination. They echoed throughout the woods, either scaring off sheepish Pokemon that wouldn't dare risk the chance of being attacked by whatever was causing those screams, or attracting them to the general vicinity for a brawl. Hopefully it was the former, given that the tree was looking like it had more Pidgeys in it than it did leaves. Both Mino and Sprout, whom of which were stuck next to Teal and Sandy's side like a skittish Litten, stared up at the leaves in sheer awe after having given them both those sombre glances. They were lost in thought at the horrid circumstances they'd found themselves delved into. The constant belligerent rustling of those leaves paired with those shrill screeches made it sound like there was a murder going on in the midst of the woods. The florist and grass eeveelution struggled to remain optimistic about the monkey's gruesome circumstances. Jitter's chances of escaping alive were practically nonexistent in the dense brush of the tree; any more Pokemon that'd join in on the brawl would just be overkill-- quite literally. It was a common, well-known fact that Pidgeys often get unnecessarily violent when foreign Pokemon accidentally tottered into their territory. Not only that, but because of the denity of the flock of aggressive bird Pokemon, the shrieking Pidgeys were in a sort of echo chamber that only encouraged their violent behaviour and likely refined it. If the poor purple Jitter got knocked out, the birds would still continue to hack and slash at him despite him being unable to pose any form of threat, which would prove itself to be rather fatal if left for too long.

Then suddenly, an unconscious Pidgey came speedily shooting out of the depths of the tree and smacked right down before Mino and Sprout, having just barely missed them. It was as if it were a feathered meteor from outer-space. The both of them reeled at the terrifying scare and silently squeaked in terror, having been taken completely off guard by the extremely unexpected event. Having just barely avoided being knocked unconscious themselves by the fainted bird, the two found themselves impulsively scurrying behind both Teal and Sandy, feeling their already minuscule sense of safety robbed from them after the Pidgey meteor had barely missed the two unintentional targets. The two's eyes remained trained on the towering tree, but found that they were looking out more for threats charging towards them rather than the occasional purple flashes of a scurrying, shrieking Jitter. It wouldn't occur to them in the slightest that an Aipom wouldn't of had such a powerful move that'd cause a Pidgey to go flying away at such a velocity.

Without notice, there was a bright white flash just before the two that caused the duo to flinch and impulsively brace themselves, as they expected some kind of random ranged attack to come charging their way. After having sealed their eyes and holding their positions for a short while, they both hesitantly opened their eyes and noticed that there were two Pokemon stood before their unintentional human shield, Sandy. They were notably foreign as well, meaning that they would've been a trainer's Pokemon. They also didn't bombard the group with attacks, which also pointed out their obvious status as Pokemon. Sprout peered at the newcomers with silent interest through a gap between Sandy's lower legs, whilst Min glanced over Sandy's shoulders. They both wanted to identify the two Pokemon before them, and did so with relative ease. There was a bulbous Lickilicky stood before its pink haired trainer, and tottering Spinda that required its trainer's assistance to stand still. Sandy ordered the two into positions after having given them instructions, of which Min and Sprout didn't pick up on because of their internal 'Who's That Pokemon' game distracting them, and the two grass enthusiasts watched in silent unease as the newcomer Pokemon stumbled their way to the trees, hopefully not to be suddenly struck by another two bird meteors.

It didn't take very long before the plotting dancer turned her head to the group and loudly ushered them all to cover their ears. Mino felt a sick feeling in his stomach, not entirely wanting to be in the general vicinity of whatever Sandy was intending to have her Pokemon do. His ears were horribly sensitive, as were Sprout's, so covering their ears would only provide so much protection from the inevitable. Sprout obeyed immediately, as he pressed his head into the floor. Both of the eeveelution's ears pressed themselves onto the back of his head, where then his paws both pressed them harder onto the back of his head as he braced for the worst. Min, on the other hand, wanted to squeeze out a question before hell ensued.

"What--?"

The florist could only open up his mouth and let out a small peep before there was a sudden loud, ringing, booming noise in his ears that made him feel like his head was going to explode. It almost made him feel physically ill. He hissed something loudly in horrible pain to himself before both of his hands hurriedly slammed themselves onto the side of his head as that harrowing babbling continued, with said hiss likely not being heard by anyone or anything that was unfortunate enough to have been caught in the Spinda's yelling. There were only occasional moments where the hollering Spinda stopped to take a breath of air, but Mino couldn't really hear those moments. His ears were constantly ringing. It was a miracle that neither of his eardrums had popped, but by lord, they were going to be aching for a while after this. He and his Pokemon just hoped to Arceus that it stopped soon.

Trance's loud echoing reverberated in the area around them, causing the trees to sway unnaturally, the grass to billow in the wind, and most of the surrounding Pokémon to either flee from the noise or cover their ears. A few Pidgeys had shrieked and squawked at the unnaturally booming sounds, their pursuit of the three Pokémon inside the tree paused momentarily to search for the source of the racket. Some of the Pidgeys had been deterred enough to flee, taking flight and flying off away from the Spinda's Uproar. However, two of them were bold enough - or foolish enough, whatever way one wanted to look at it - to change their target, and flew towards the Spinda to get her to cease.

Sandy had been watching closely, seeing as it was the only thing she could do whilst covering her ears from the Uproar, and waited for the right opportunity for Slick to pull off his attack. When they were getting close enough, she shouted, "Alright, Slick, now!"

The Lickilicky gazed up at the two Pidgeys diving towards them, and with some effort, lifted its large tongue, swinging it at the two birds. One Pidgey was smacked so hard she was sent torpedoing in the opposite direction of Sandy, Min, and Sprout. The other managed to barely avoid it, before it dove right into Trance, stopping her sound-off and knocking her clean to the ground.

"T-Trance?!" Sandy called after her, watching her roll onto her front, attempting to use her stumpy arms to stand back on her legs again. She was fine, it seemed, or at least, for the time being, as the Pidgey that had attacked her was back on route to tackle the Spinda to the ground once again. She had circled around, and she flew right towards her. Seeing this, Sandy shouted another order, hoping that Trance would be able to hear it in time to fight back, "Trance, Drain Punch!"

The Spinda did indeed catch Sandy's orders, though, stumbling on her feet, she awkwardly thrust her arm forward as it collided with the incoming Pidgey, causing the bird to drop to the ground, groggily finding its way to its feet. Trance seemed much more energetic - if a dizzy Pokémon could ever be, that is - and more ready for battle. By now, the lone Pidgey seemed more intimidated than before with the two Pokémon in front of it, but stood its ground, as if wanting to duke it out until the end. Sandy was hesitant on that front. Perhaps if Jitter found its way out of that tree, and if Teal's Pokémon surrounded it also, maybe it would take the warning to heart and back off...

In the mild silence that coated the town ran under what could be described as an electrically charged fist, sounds of music were quickly filling the city up. What the heck is music doing in this place? Just ask the source - it seemed to be a young woman and a quartet of Pokemon - all playing instruments and walking in a line - all together! The lead her four Pokemon along as the combined 5 played a flute, a drum, a guitar, a violin and a hand-held piano - all at the same time! The result was this mildly upbeat... piece? It's hard to explain what it's called, but all 5 involved in playing it seemed like they were having fun, especially the Pokemon! Only problem - it will probably not settle too well in the streets...

The woman would eventually stop playing the music in coordination with her Pokemon and retrieve their instruments, storing them into a bag along with her flute (as well as anything needed to play those instruments). She sighed as she would then recall all but one of her Pokemon - an Ambipom, a species not native to Kanto, and just rest.
"Whew! It sure is hard work going around the region with all sorts of music! Eh, Handyman?" She asked her Ambipom, of which just sat down and clapped with both pairs of hands - the normal ones 'and' the tail hands. She laughed. "I mean, it's fun, but I keep worry about leaving a message... Does it not matter?" She worried aloud. The Ambipom let out a saddened, quiet screech and looked down.

Silence yet prospered in this supposedly buzzing town. 'What a disappointment', Maryl would think to herself, sighing. 'I guess at the end of the day, most regions are still as downed and boring as each other...' She added furthermore, stopping her thinking and returning her Ambipom to its Pokeball for a rest, and wander on into the Pokemon Center to rest her legs, heal her quartet up, and generally chill the heck out. She would look up and around while her four Pokemon were being tended to and just notice a young man sneezing - seeming confused indeed. She too knew Pokemon Centers were immaculate, and heck knows why one would just sneeze out of nowhere. She shrugged it off and kept resting for a while, deciding to take out her flute and play it among the Pokemon Center's atmosphere - granting the safe haven that it is an oddly soothing tune by just flute alone.

One wild Pokemon fight later, both Sandy and Min, along with any of their Pokemon that happened to be out of their pokeballs, found themselves hurriedly scurrying away from Route 6. It almost felt as if they stayed any longer than they should've, an even larger horde of Pidgey would descend upon them and peck them all to death. No doubt they'd be furious about Trance's loud bellows and the fact that their brethren had been physically attacked by odd bipeds that were intruding on their fun. The small group had overstayed their welcome, but at the very least everyone was intact. Jitter was safe with the group as they ushered themselves along the grassy path, everyone silently hoping that they wouldn't hear a flurry of wing flaps above their heads. Never before had Min seen a battle so up close. It was intriguing for him, impressive and-- mildly terrifying, actually. Poor Min and Sprout both found themselves taking refuge behind a tree during the fight, almost making the both of them literal tree-huggers. They'd both watch on with wide, vacant eyes, almost looking like they had been hypnotised by a Hypno. As much as the both of them were scared, at the very least they didn't flee the scene before it'd concluded. Perhaps it was the fact that they'd feel like traitors, or perhaps it was the fact that they felt as if leaving the refuge of the tree would've caused more wild Pokemon to chase after them. Perhaps it was both. Either way , all of them were quickly scuttling back to Vermillion City, all knowing that the town would ensure their safety from an angry, feathery death.

Before long, they were treading on bricks. Everyone had successfully fled from the scene and were now within the comforting, safe confines of Vermillion. The smell of sea-salt and the sounds of people had never been so soothing before. Poor Min had a small tremor seize his hands as he clutched Sprout close, almost as if Sprout were a doll. He was panting to himself quietly, despite how they'd all practically sprinted out of the woods. Sprout was hurriedly surveying the area with wild, nervous eyes, almost looking as bug-eyed as a Caterpie. The Leafeon's ears were perked up attentively, and pricked at the air with any slight change of noise. Min, without making any remarks regarding everything leading up to this point, stumbled up to a wall and pressed his back against it, Sprout still held close to him. He slowly slid down the wall and sat on the floor, exhausted. Remarkably, his bouquet was in perfect shape and looked untouched. The green haired florist gently popped down the bouquet down on the brick floor with his gently trembling arm, still concerned about its appearance even though he'd been though he'd been dragged through what only he could call 'hell'. He gently shut his eyes and shook his head softly.

"Never again." He muttered quietly, just barely able to be heard by Sandy. He opened his eyes and had one of his spare hands sift through his hair as the other one kept Sprout close to his chest in an attempt to comfort himself and the Eeveelution sat on his lap, with its attentive ears acting like radar dishes as Sprout clearly didn't trust the idea that staying in a town would protect them from a huge horde of angry, fluffy birds. He took a glance at Sandy.

"Thanks for getting us out of there." Personally, Min had no idea what he would've done in that scenario. Sandy seemed great at battling and strategy- at least Min believed. He didn't know a thing about battling. Anyone that knew Min that imagined him in such a spot that Sandy was in would know that the florist and his trusty Sprout would run away with their tail between their legs and ultimately get rushed by the winged furies.

Despite the rather life endangering situation Jitter had roped them into, the Aipom bounced from Sandy's shoulder to the other in his usual, jittery way. Mind you, he was relieved to have Sandy and the others come to his rescue after the trouble he stirred up. A moment longer and he would have been Pidgey meat. Aipom had latched onto Sandy once he managed to get out of that tree, and once Sandy lifted Trance into her arms (knowing that the poor Spinda could barely stay upon her own two feet), fled with Slick, Mino, and Sprout before any more of Pidgeys could be attracted to the group.

In all honesty, Sandy hadn't minded that Mino and Sprout took refuge behind a nearby tree, making them literal tree huggers. For once, she felt a tad guilty for dragging them into the mess that Aipom had started, and would have rather had the two of them safe than them getting hurt. Once they were past the borderline between the Route and Vermillion City, Sandy started thinking up ways that she could make it up to Mino, and to little Sprout too. His muttering was enough to make her feel a tad more guilty for what both the Aipom and Sandy had put them through. Plus, if she didn't have his expertise tracking skills and inspection of the trees Jitter had swung between, they could have had an entirely different situation on their hands.

Sandy glanced around to Mino as he thanked her, and she turned to him, exchanging a small smile with him. "It's no problem. Honestly, I should be thanking you," Sandy sheepishly admitted, rubbing the back of her neck. "If you hadn't started inspecting those trees from earlier, I'd hate to think what state we would have found Jitter in." She looked up at the Aipom, who stilled himself for a moment as he tilted his head at the unusually worried look on Sandy's face. She was usually so laid back, but she wouldn't know where she'd be without one of her Pokémon.

But as soon as the worried expression came, it disappeared again as she quickly insisted to Mino, "Listen, how about I take you for coffee or something? I feel like I should make it up to you for disturbing your day." Sandy was trying to remember what it was Mino had even came to Vermillion City for in the first place. All she remembered was the young man carrying a bouquet...which she noticed he was without now.

Whilst he was sat down quietly trying to regain the breath he'd spent whilst scurrying out of the debacle he, Sandy and the pokémon found themselves in, he found a hint of solace in himself when he'd closed his eyes and had completely realised that the group was completely safe. Unlike his owner, Sprout had calmed considerably quicker than his trainer once they'd started treading on bricks. The leaf-like pokémon dipped his head gently into the corner of Min's comfortable green sweater and nestled himself quite snuggly against the trainer, with the Leafeon's once alert, pricked ears finally falling limp- likely because the stressful events that the Aipom had unknowingly put them in sapped him of his energy. Perhaps it was out of relief. Perhaps both. Whilst the now droopy-eyed Leafeon had nuzzled himself up against Mino's arm quite pleasantly, the green haired florist had shut his eyes to properly contemplate what he'd been sent through and to re-gather his thoughts, which felt like debris that'd been shaken up in a snow globe. His mind couldn't really settle on one thought, save for the basic concepts that he'd been dragged along on an adventure to save an unfortunate Aipom and almost got him and Sprout obliterated by a stray bird that'd been shot out of a tree. It was quite an action-packed day.

It was only when Sandy spoke up that Min realised that he was in the presence of another person, whom of which was the very one who saved basically everyone's skin. Her own pokémon, Sprout, Min-- they were all in debt to Sandy for having the pink haired girl save them. Of course, that's what Min believed, despite it being a fact that he'd been dragged along on this tiring spectacle. The florist would've gently raised one of his eyebrows in response to Sandy's statements if he wasn't exhausted-- perhaps he should get out of the flower store more often. Maybe work on his muscles a bit. Perhaps then he'd be able to carry anything heavier than a Leafeon.

A moment passed before Mino shuffled on the spot, grabbing his bouquet and gently arising from the spot, as to not disturb the tired looking Sprout, whom of which looked like he just wanted to nap. The fact that Sandy offered some insight to her belief that she owed Min thanks- followed by a request to have some coffee- had the florist somewhat less confused, but he had now an understanding of the pink haired girl's perspective on their recent situation. Min personally believed that anyone could've done what he did- despite it requiring a deep understanding of trees-, but refused to comment on it, believing that he'd be belittling Sandy's explanation. The florist glanced at his tired pokémon for a second before he immediately turned his attention to Sandy, armed with a small smile on his face. He'd take a quick peep at Sandy and Jitter and realised how gung-ho and relaxed they could be, despite having been faced with such a daunting situation. It was something the florist could really admire-- but never really take on board.

Min's head gently nodded in agreement to Sandy's suggestion. Coffee sounded great. It always did. Especially after having been attacked by birds. Perhaps Sprout would be able to keep his eyes open after having a few sips from a mug.It also offered to calm everyone down-- or at least Min and Sprout, given that Sandy and Jitter appeared calm on the surface.

"Sure," Min commented, having his breath finally returned to him. "That sounds good. I'll pay for my own coffee, though."He insisted.
