Hello!! One media I recognized was until dawn which this reminded me SO much of, everything from the premise down to the roles. I was wondering if you had a fixed idea of the characters' reasonings (for going to find Violet) & their personalities? The lover reminded me a bit of mike . . n I think if available, I'd be interested in playing them with a loose inspiration from until dawn's mike! Sort of comes off as confident, persuasive but also a little self-absorbed & vain? Which is why he was easily swept away from one partner to another. Or maybe even extra conscious of his reputation? Which might be why he's still playing the lover; goes on with the trip in a faux display of Concerned Partner !

Iβve tried to keep the roles flexible enough to allow creative freedom beyond some pre/existing drama and dynamics. so reasonings for going and personalities are entirely up to you!! while Iβm sure most are βwe wanna make sure sheβs okay!!β, I can definitely see the perspective of someone like the lover coming out of guilt, or because they still love them or yeah because of a faux display for appearances. thereβs no issues basing a character off a pre-existing character in media as long as itβs got some creative liberties, fits the narrative and isnβt just an oc! unfortunately these days hard to create a character that isnβt already existing in media in some regard haha.
when I get the character thread up, there will be some semblance of a character sheet for violet. sheβs so far been painted quite positively (which she mainly is) in the interest check but she has reasons for being disliked by some to paint some complex dynamics.

yeah that is okay ! I wouldnβt view it so rigidly, as this isnβt really a βforum gameβ, and the cast will be working together but also paranoia and frustrations could lead to some in-fighting. I canβt really tell you how much fighting and violence there will be between each other as this will organically occur throughout the story.
oh! and I forgot to respond to your other message in the other thread but there will be no reserving of roles as this is application based! :-)

that is rather interesting !! could cause some tension between your character and the others as they would be frustrated with them making a film out of it and gives me blair witch vibes too!! just as long as they have a connection or two to the main group. it would make sense if they didnβt know violet too much either since she has been all over the place the last year so is plausible.

Hello! Reading Violet's backstory has made it clear I may have got some things wrong timeline wise about Violet's ilness, will be changing it slightly to fit better with her narrative. May have also forgot about [THE SHADOW] lol, will be sure to add it to David's story too.

you may have got nothing wrong !! I didnβt have a clear idea for her diagnosis timeline and I think I kept it vague in her backstory to more allude that she has always been βsickβ, more referring to other stuffβespecially autoimmune diseases and other things that held her back from experiencing the world. so if you referenced her diagnosis as a teenager or such you are fine because that would work timeline wise. she would not of undergone chemo until her teenage years.
you are welcome to add to their relationshipβas I said it is more than okay to not expand on them all until after the cast is chosen and we do some plotting! as for nathaniel, I can imagine that they were friends as he would of needed to vet them. heβs weirdly protective so I can see the lover feeling a little uneasy by their presence at times because any wrong move would be scrutinised when it came to affecting his twin. which is why we better hope he doesnβt find out they broke up, or that they cheated on violet!! hehe

Howdy! I'm drafting up an application for The Confidant, but I've noticed all the roles already have applications for them and my character would fit just as well as an undecided. Would it be okay to submit an Undecided that is a college friend of Violet and The Confidant? Or shall I just gun for The Confidant role and keep it competitive? I have ideas on how I can connect my character to The Unrequited and naturally would be close-knit with Violet but not at all a fan of Nate.

that is entirely up to you! can definitely do another college friend that is friends with violet and the confidant. or if you like you are welcome to try your hand at the confidant role instead! :-)

no issues with that β Iβve finally put up a wip for nathaniel so can get more of an indication of him as a character. both straight forward or with a twist sound good!!! heβs usually partnered in some regard so would make sense! heβs got commitment issues but Iβm sure that will prove interesting regardless.
edit: Iβm limited to my phone this weekend so apologies for any issues with the wips. will clean them up when I get home!

hey guys β I think Iβm bringing the unfortunate news that I might shut this down due to not enough interest! just being aware that one or two people will drop early on (as is tradition with roleplays) which means there wonβt be many of us left with the completed character apps.
