We've known her since the ninth grade, something is definitely wrong. That's not the only thing, either. I've been having these dreams lately...lucid dreams where I'm someplace familiar, but changed. Bent, honestly, from the shape I know. I can do things that nobody should be able to do. But, I think you already know what I'm talking about. I only say that because I've SEEN her in that place, out the corner of my eye and around every turn. I'd know my best friend anywhere. That thing is NOT her."

Things aren't as altruistic as they seem in Nowhere Place, Louisiana. A college town ripe with tourism and locale delights, there is something off about the air already. Now, something sinister lurks in the rafters, targeting a group of not-so-young anymores -- a group of friends that have slowly drifted apart must come together to save one of their own before her body does something she will regret...or worse. And, if they don't make it out of the Dreaming something else will. But, not to worry! They know this place by heart...sorta. Not to mention that as their dreams(and nightmares) bleed into reality, so do the rules and abilities.

The mind is a powerful thing to keep sharp. Just imagine what it could do with no limitation. To take something and shape it into something else? To connect to another mind just by shear will? A word of caution though: Not all mountains can be moved alone. (mental manipulation)

Blessed be the way. A connection to the nature of things can come in clutch for those who know what to look for. Pulling strength from the beyond, you notice the strangeness in and out of the Dreaming. Anything you ask for is yours...just be careful what you ask for. (stripped-down witchcraft)

A stone wall, both emotionally and mentally, you tend to be the one that keeps everyone safe in any situation. Your guard is nearly flawless, and that projects itself in the Dreaming. Your only limit is your belief that this is all wrong. It goes against your values, whether you have them to keep face or you truly believe these abilities to be "wicked". But, will you cast all that aside to defend those you love? (mental and physical shield generation)

Your confidence is key, as if you know any of your blows will land true. Be it by hand, sword, or aim, you can't miss--and you pack one hell of a punch. But, concentration is key for you. Please abide by site rules. 18+, because there will be mature elements and psychological components including death, mental illness, and graphic depictions.
rule two.
Literate rp, requiring 2-3+ paragraphs in every reply. Characters will experience physical and emotional distress at some points of the rp. If you know you can't commit to being a part of a complex storyline, please leave room for others. I understand that life can get in the way. If you work with me, I can work with you(i.e., Your character gets lost for a while, like Alyssa).

I will be making a temporary discord to discuss ideas and plot while we create our characters. When the time comes to select those who will be participating, I will message you personally to discuss if and why your character was accepted/dismissed. Please do not take my judgement personally, for I know many of you that can and will create some beautifully complex characters. There will be elements from the Remedy Entertainment games(Alan Wake 1 & 2/ CONTROL), for my intentions are to create a story in that universe. If you want some source material just let me know in the comments and I will appily direct you to some YouTube videos that can properly explain their premise/mechanics in a way that I can not. But, again, it will be loosely related to the material and not overbearing to keep up with. Thanks for the interest, peeps!
