The Valentine Family
Prologue :
It all started as a group of children who practically grew up together as family, though none of them are related by true blood. Growing together was really the only source of comfort they had, for most of them they didn't have parents who came around often, they didn't live in luxury and had nothing to their names. The operations started young, with them stealing candy from the corner stores, jewelry from Claire's, sometimes sneaking into movies they didn't pay to see. Though, as they grew older they began to take on more dangerous heists, from stealing cars, tapping ATMs, even robbing and associating with families who dealt with more dangerous substances.
It was not an easy life for any of them, from children to adults they struggled to keep their heads above water. Finally, their notorious streak began to catch up with them. They were being chased, not only by former business partners who turned on them but by the US government after the family accidentally uncovered the files of clinical trials that would cure incurable diseases and some were even said to work miracles on the healthy. Faced with something amazing, they family stole the notes on the trials and began their hunt to find these drugs, order by their boss though the members weren't explained why, which is unlike their boss since they never hid anything from each other. They were bonded by something stronger than blood, trust.
So it began, the most dangerous heist they would ever be faced with. Their lives on the line, they can only trust each other now.
Rival Families
Opilio :
The Opilio is a Latin mafia, the members are all siblings led by their oldest brother Octavio Opilio. This family has been around for many generations and are run on greed and wealth. They work with select law enforcement officials to cover their trails as well as politicians, making them not only protected but giving them many eyes and ears within the city.
This family deals out weapons as well as dangerous substances within the city, importing it all from other countries and states to give them a one up on all other distributors. If they feel like their work is threatened, they are out for blood to destroy all competition permanently the first time. They do not accept defeat well, they are known for being resilient and dangerously determined. They are not one to pull out of the game, they have every intention of going down in flames with their business.
The Opilio family does not currently have any ill will against the Valentine family and does not see them as a threat against their business.
Silesius :
The Silesius family is a dangerous mafia, all the members are unrelated and are drove with drugs and money. They don't live like barons like the Opilio family. They are dangerous for their lack of care and killer attitudes, they do not care for mercy, only getting what they want at the end of every bargain. They are enticing with their attitudes and false promises of protection when in reality they just want to rule anything they can charm into their vicious cycle.
They mainly deal dangerous substances, some being highly combustible that they receive from all over the world. They crave pain, fueled by true insanity.
This family currently is not on even grounds with the Valentine family, they are butting heads due to the Valentine family pulling out of transporting their products. Though the Valentine family never stole and pulled out the wrong way, Silesius now does not trust them and thinks they know far too much for some delinquent kids.
Rules
I. Do not be incredibly vulgar, keep this roleplay within RPN guidelines.
II. Do not harm any characters (other than your own) without the users permission.
III. Please keep the character photos realistic, i don't mind if they are art as long as it is realistic like.
IV. Please be semi-literate to literate. I expect at least six full sentences per reply, writers block happens just do not make it a common occurrence.
V. All characters must be over eighteen years old.
VI. If you have an idea for a plot twist or something that will change certain parts of the rp, DM me for permission to do so, do not just throw constant curve balls into the story that could derail it.
VIII. Have fun, rules may be added as we progress.
