During the spring of 2018 a group of hikers that were out exploring the mountains during their travels discovered a plant that was unfamiliar to them. The group took a few pictures of the plant to post to social media to get some answers about the specimen. The pictures quickly went viral when it was discovered that this was a new plant. The hikers were contacted by a team of specialists for information on the flower. Despite not knowing anything about this plant yet, people went into the mountains to find this plant in an attempt to cultivate it themselves for both aesthetic reasons and more adventurous reasons. It was named ‘Scarlet Bloom’ because of the deep red flower. A year after the plant's discovery it was discovered to have a powerful hallucinogenic type effect when the flowers were consumed, but if consumed in great amounts it could be toxic. The team who was working with this plant released this information to the public to warn anyone who might encounter the plant out in the wild or has started growing it at home with pets. But instead of creating awareness, it created a new wave of drug abuse.
Within weeks of the release articles about animals and people suddenly dying after consuming the plant. But the cause of death was for the time being unknown. Even the rise in deaths did not deter those brave enough to test just how powerful the hallucinogenic effect was. Because of all of this, the flower was renamed the ‘Scarlet Death’. However, the whole population was not interested in turning the plant into a drug. Many were just interested in caring for the planet for its beautiful bloom. As the death cases started to decrease everyone sort of just seemed to forget about the whole thing. With the occasional warning about the Scarlet Death. Only now recommending it to more experienced plant owners. This was just the tip of the iceberg. Beneath the surface, it was discovered that a parasite was found on the leaves of Scarlet Death. Attacking any creature from the inside out that was unfortunate enough to become their host. But that was not all they did. Once the host was dead, the parasite would turn the host into the living dead. The only reason they managed to hide this was that it had not been able to jump between hosts. Yet.
Now a few years have passed and the hype around Scarlet Death has died down. But trouble has been brewing beneath the surface for years now. The nation’s stability was hanging by a thread without anyone knowing. That is all going to change. Our story takes place in the city of Daegu. Daegu has become the leading researcher of the Scarlet Death in the whole of South Korea, with one woman becoming especially obsessed with the parasite. One day she up and quit her job in the research labs to instead become a teacher in one of Daegu’s high schools (Not picking a real school). This was so she could continue her research on the parasite in secret. She was the one who discovered the mutated strain of the zombie virus. She found that when a living creature consumed the remains of a creature that was infected with stage one of the virus. That creature in the next twelve hours would become a zombie and be able to spread the virus to other living creatures. Unfortunately, she would learn this the hard way. The teacher was using some of the equipment at her school after hours, not realizing a student was also in the school with her.
She stepped out for just a moment and the student found what she was doing. Her student was bitten by the creature injected with the stage two strain of the virus-infested parasite. It was only a matter of time before the student would turn and attack anyone in their path. She did her best to contain the infected student. But they escaped her and managed to attack a couple of students before being taken to the hospital. Kickstarting a whole new hell for the human race. With the hot spots being the hospital where the student was taken and the school where it all started. Two groups manage to form during the chaos. One group of students who are just trying to survive, and a group from the hospital take it upon themselves to find a cure. Will they make it? That is entirely up to you.

Hello friends, I decided to reboot this because I recently finished All of Us Are Dead, and I am not okay with how that ripped my heart out. I also wanted something to work on so I don’t let my brain focus too intensely on the chaos around me.

The Ex-Bully

Everyone knows who he is and he is not exactly well-liked by the other students. While it has gotten a bit better for him, not everyone is willing to forgive and forget. He however did not really have a choice, he was blackmailed into treating the other students like trash. He only recently was able to successfully destroy the blackmail that they had on him. He is a good fighter and can handle himself well. Everyone is gonna have to put the past behind them to stay alive.
The Rebel

Her parents are never home and all they seem to talk about is how important their jobs are (they can be doctors, first responders, etc.). The only thing she has control over in her life is her behavior. She often skips school and gets involved in stuff she shouldn't be involved in. But she is street smart and her parents' jobs have taught her how to help the group survive this hell.
The Athlete
Taken
He is one of the best, the best even, athletes in the school. He has always been popular in school, and while he may not exactly be the best student around. It has never bothered him because he just wants to focus on his sport. Now that zombies are running rampant around his school, he will have to use his skills to keep not only himself safe but his new group as well.
The Smart One

She has always been at the top of her class and praised for being a genius. She never had much of a social life because of the pressure she felt to study all the time in order to maintain her top spot. Being a bit of a teacher's pet she knows where everything is and to use it. Which may come in handy with the apocalypse unfolding.
The Sibling

He is very average. He is not a top student, an athlete, or someone with a rough childhood. It has been pretty good for him. But with his older sister being The Scientist (info lot on) he knows quite a bit about the parasite-driven zombies and how the group should be able to combat them.
The Exchange student

She is not from South Korea. She became a student at the school after being selected by an exchange student program. She has trouble understanding the language and doesn't have a strong support system built up. Maybe she will find friends and purpose in this new group of people as they fight off zombies.
The Teacher

He is one of the youngest teachers in the school and this can make some interactions easier with the students. He has always struggled to get respect from the other staff because he is younger than them. When the infected student was taken to the hospital he went with her. Meeting up with the rest of the group during the initial chaos, since he has access to the school system he can help the group access the research that the teacher was storing in the school.
The Scientist
Taken
She for the past few years has been studying and trying to find the secrets behind the parasites that are attached to the Scarlet Death. She even knew the woman who started the breakout in the school. Now she is putting her knowledge to use as her group navigates through hell to find the cure.
The College student

A poor soul that got roped into the second group of survivors searching for the cure. He was just heading back from the store when bam he is now knee-deep in the chaos. However, this whole thing feels very familiar to him. He swears that his grandparents used to tell stories about similar events that happened a long time ago, but he and his family always wrote it off as the ramblings of old people. He just may know more about this than some might think he does.
The Cop

She has already seen a whole lot. She was a witness to some of the first stages of the zombie chaos before the mutated strain of the parasite was discovered. However, she was not allowed to speak of any of the small breakouts. Using her training and previous knowledge she has taken it upon herself to help find the cure.
The Soldier

When the breakouts first started happening, he and a few others were tasked with containing the stage one breakouts to prevent launching the population into a panic. However, when this breakout started, his group did not know that they were the mutated kind. They were overwhelmed and he was one of few who managed to survive. He now travels with this group to find a cure.
The Dropout

The high school dropout who was never anything but a disappointment to everyone around her. She is one of the few civilian witnesses to the previous stage one zombie breakouts. However, no one really believed her when she tried to warn others. She got roped into finding a cure for the parasite by accident. But her street knowledge is very much needed.

I would prefer this to be a small group where each person plays two characters, I won't force you to play a male and a female role, but if I notice people only wanting to make characters for female roles, then I will enforce.
rule two.
I am looking for 18+, players who are comfortable with writing semi-adv. to advanced writing. Meaning 2+ paragraphs per post, good grammar, etc etc. No-liners please.
rule three.
No god-modding. No Mary or Gary sues. Everyone has flaws and you are not allowed to control other characters unless given permission by the other play.
rule four.
Romance is welcome, but please do not force your character onto someone else for romance. That will not be tolerated.
rule five.
The classic ‘hate the character not the player’. I will not tolerate bullying or fighting between players. Just in-character drama, please.
rule six.
I ask that you have discord, because OOC will be done on a discord server, I can reach everyone better and send out lore faster.
rule seven.
Realistic FCs only, keep in mind that this is taking place in Korea but I will be more flexible with the Exchange student.

i am very much interested ! i've been craving a zombie roleplay for the longest time - only problem is deciding which roles i'd like to apply for lol although looking respectively at the scientist and soldier roles 
and soldier, more or less somewhere in their early thirties ?
