Misthaven
Misthaven has been there for as long as anyone can remember. Nobody knows how it got there. Some say the Gods themselves lived there. Some say it was created by the Victorians. Nobody really knows. One thing that is known, however, is that the fog has always been there. That's where the town got it's name from. It hasn't always been as...deadly as it is now, though. Usually people would come and go from the town, visiting to enjoy a peaceful weekend or two away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
All that changed two years ago. Suddenly anyone who entered the fog died. Nobody could enter the town. Nobody could leave. People weren't quite sure what was happening. Since then, the residents of Misthaven have been trapped inside the town. Supplies keep mysteriously appearing overnight, as if some omnipotent force is trying to keep the inhabitants of the town alive. As the dead become more and more numbered, however, the chances of anyone surviving long enough to ever escape the town are looking slimmer and slimmer.
Indigo
So just who is this 'Indigo'? The answer is, nobody quite knows. About two months ago, he appeared out of nowhere. Nobody knows who he really is. He wears a hoodie, and displays his face openly. Despite repeated sightings, nobody can seem to recognize him. The question is, with the fog, is he a resident of the town who just lost it and decided to go on a killing spree? Or has he been waiting here for two years, biding his time?
The Misthaven Gazette
The Misthaven Gazette is the local newspaper. Nobody knows who writes it, but everyday it appears with everyone's post. It always keeps up to date with what's going on in Misthaven, even to an extent that people's personal secrets often appear in the news, things that nobody should know. Who gets this information and how they get it is unknown.
Joseph
Joseph was the leader of the town before the fog appeared. He grew up in Misthaven and was loved by almost everyone. Then, a few days after the fog appeared, he was found dead. Most people believed that he didn't know how to deal with the situation and so he had gone into the fog to take his own life. A few people, however, found the circumstances of his death quite suspicious, and suspect something deeper behind it than just suicide.
The Ghosts
Here's where things really get interesting. Every night anyone who died in the town comes back to life as a ghost, a freakish monster. They do anything they can to kill, to hurt, to burn. Since the fog became deadly this started happening. No one knows why. It is yet another unsolved mystery in Misthaven.
It is worth noting that while they are ghosts, they can still make physical contact with people. They are normally heavily scarred and bloody, but still act and behave as humans, albeit humans that want to kill everyone.
Everything else
There is much, much more to tell, but that is for you to discover and find out for yourself.
