Kurgian- Her Quarters

Gian rubbed the back of her neck with one hand, cracking it to work out the kinks. She could barely sit at the annoyingly short computers for more than an hour before getting a crick in her neck- she had no idea how Don did at all, being over a foot taller than her. The holographic screen in front of her flickered as another one of those frog things jumped through it. They had arrived in her quarters earlier, but she paid them no mind, for the most part. They weren't really hurting her, and they were actually growing increasingly sluggish. One sat on her arm, idly slobbering on her skin, and she was vaguely reminded of something. Green, weird-looking, annoying but you couldn't do anything about it...

Ah. They reminded her of the children back home.

A ping sounded from her computer, notifying her that the new course Liz had set them on had no traffic to take care of. Lucky, considering Gian had just spent her few rest hours sending an ITF ship on a wild goose chase. Gian knew she needed to speak with the first mate, especially considering she hadn't talked to anyone that day.. All she had to do was walk out the door. Then again... Her message terminal worked just fine.

To: Liz0081

Sorry. Was getting the ITF out of the way. Didn't want to bother you with it. There are little green men in my room. Are they the leprechauns the humans talk about? I think the leprechauns are dying. Should I save them?

I saw we have a new route. There is no traffic along it. Thank you.

As Isek left with a clearly blown fuse, Ezro frowned he received a good view of the snakes writhing in and out of his body before the door closed. “Well, once again me speaking honestly has gone and pissed someone’s off.” Turning to Liz, Ezro paused for a moment before speaking, “Activate a security watch on him, keep track of what he’s up too and let me know if anything suspicious happens on his part. Something isn’t rubbing me right about him right now, and I’d rather not give him any excuses to cause problems.” Yawning, the young captain ran a hand through his hair before chuckling. “Hey, if you’re up for it later we can put Gian on bridge control and you and I can have a little sparring session. It ought to be nice to get your joints loosened up a bit and get a little exercise right?”

Liz 0081:
She watched Isek leave before hearing the message go off on her computer and turned towards it now to see what was going on, the message from Gian had appeared suddenly and she was a bit surprised but opened it regardless to see what it was about. She decided that she needed to multitask, "Well Erzo with all due respect I believe that sometimes when it comes to dealing with people it's difficult to have.. what's the word... caution" She spoke as she typed simultaneously to respond to Gian.

To: Gian
Leprechauns? I feel like you may be talking about our slight frog infestation that happens to be in the current ships conditions. But don't worry about saving them, the intention is to kill the infestation before they make out ship completely dysfunctional.

In closing don't worry about the green creatures
-0081

Upon sending this message across she turned back to facing Erzo once more but still listening for another message to come across, for now she figured that a message wouldn't come across quite yet so that gave her at least a moment to speak. "Well we could definitely spar if you wanted to do that, since the training gear was torn up when I tried to practice last time, but are you sure you can handle it? I don't want to put physical strain on your body since that would just make more issues than solving them wouldn't it?" she said with a small smile.

Ross Skye, Watchman and Optimist of the ship
Ross's body twitched as he slowly came to consciousness. His now-contorted body had fallen off of his bed in the night, causing him to end up in an unnatural position. Reverting himself into a normal sitting position, he wiped the drool off of his mouth with his arm and picked his glasses off of his nightstand. Putting them on allowed him to see that his room was an absolute mess. Though he didn't recall what he did the night before to a tee, he did vaguely remember some sort of odd lonely one-man roleplay revolving pirates. He didn't usually sleep that late, but he supposed had been kept up the previous night by the excitement of being a pirate. He still hadn't been able to get rid of it, and he'd been a member of a pirate crew for at least a few months.

Getting up off of the floor, he let out a sigh before he began changing his clothes. He glanced around his room as he did so, still amazed he was able to pull off the design so well. His room was more normal than the others', at least in his opinion. The walls were decorated with tan, beige, and orange-ish triangular Aztec designs, his bedframe and floor were wooden (and a pain to install even with help), and he had a door with hinges that opened sideways rather than vertically.

Though it was the most normal, by Earthen designs, it jutted out like a sore thumb in the technologically-fueled space titanic.

As he stepped out of his room, he wondered one thing: what time was it?
He went to check his watch, but it displayed that it was midnight and Ross didn't remember going to bed so late.

Ah, that's right. This wasn't Earth. There was no night. There was only "resting time".

Shaking off his homesickness with a jolt of the head, he began to ponder his agenda.

While he was excited for the day, as he always was, didn't exactly want to get to his station yet. Maybe it was the fact that he had woken up late and still felt lazy, or maybe it was that he felt some odd disturbance in the will of the universe that urged him to lollygag. Or, as was most likely, he was just not good at doing his job and didn't want to let the captain down again. Thus, delay would be serviceable.

He strolled through the living quarter's hallway, going back and forth and listening to the soft sound of his boots hitting the metal. This was the only part he really appreciated about the ship: the sounds it made. They offered a strangely comforting aesthetic that he couldn't find anywhere else. As he slowly paced, he heard a ping come from his wrist and checked his watch yet again. A small square alerted him to the fact that a route had been set. The shock of getting a notification on a digital watch and having his job stolen rocked him to his core.

"...Who in the world could do this?! This is like the great depression! My job's being stolen by a rich guy that can sustain himself!... Or something, like that." he ranted, aiming his qualms at no one in particular. He sighed, murmuring "Welp, I guess I'm on cheerleader duty today..."

With a glint of hope that it was an error, he headed to the bridge.

Upon arriving there, Ross saw Liz and Ezro having a friendly chat. With the route already plotted, and the ship already moving. He sunk a little bit, feeling defeated. Though it would make sense that they could swap roles should the need present itself, it made him feel a bit unneeded. He rose again and fixed his stance, then headed toward the two.

"Good morning, Liz, Ezro!" he greeted, a smile on his face. Speaking to something other than the ambiance around him boosted his spirits, taking his mind off of the problem he had earlier. His eyes practically sparkled with the pleasure of simply meeting his crewmates again.

“Is that doubt I hear? My my I’m hurt Liz I really am, I can’t believe you’d think of me so fragile and helpless.” Ezro chuckled and let go of the sarcasm, “Honestly though, as of late no ones been wanting to fight or spar. It’s left me bored beyond imagine, as the holograms just won’t due. Even at the hardest settings they’re too easy. I should have Don take a look at that.”

With that said Ezro quickly pulled out his data pod and typed a quick message to Don. ‘Don, I want you to take a look into upping the ante on the hologram spars. I want a greater challenge.’

Ezro heard the familiar sound of his chipper watchmen coming on deck. “Hey there Ross, it’s about damn time you joined us.” He grinned widely at him, “I’m sorry but Liz had to do a little of your work for you. She’s better at charting courses for supply routes, but don’t worry.” Ezro patted the eager young man on the shoulder, “I know you can navigate the stars far better than any trained professional could.”

Kurgian- Her Quarters

Gian raised a brow and turned to the entrance of her quarters as a loud bang came from a room somewhere near her. She really needed to get her room more thoroughly soundproofed. Gauging who was most often out of their quarters by now, she thought she had an idea of who it could be.

"Skye," Kurgian thought. He was the only member of the crew that wouldn't be awake at this time other than herself. Gian had almost knocked on the door to his quarters the previous night during her watch because he had been up so late, but she had figured he was probably fine. Excitable, but fine. She also didn't think he was still awake when her watch ended, and Gian had been awoken early from her "daytime" resting hours by the frog men and the pinging alert of the ITF that had become too close for comfort, so she didn't think he was sleeping in too late.

Gian wondered if she should try for sleep before her watch, but figured she was already awake, so she might as well get something done.

Her computer pinged again, re-reminding her of the notification she hadn't yet read. She wasn't surprised by the almost immediate response before- Liz was the most punctual being she knew. Gian read the message and was strangely disappointed to hear they weren't the little green men from human mythology, but having established that their presence was known and being taken care of, she was no longer concerned. She was perturbed, however, about having green corpses lying about her room. She thought about asking Liz to send a bot to dispose of them, but knew she would no doubt be ribbed for not leaving her quarters at all that evening.

To: Liz0081

Ok.

Kurgian thought about something else to add. Some other members of the crew got mad when she gave them one-word replies. Even though she doubted Liz would be offended, she decided she wouldn't take any chances.

Thanks.

Gian hated messaging. She got the feeling she was bad at it.

Kurgian rose from her chair, cracking her back and jumping slightly when the frog man fell off her arm, dead at last. She frowned as a peculiar smell wafted up to her nose from its corpse. Not the smell of death, but something... tangier? Gian couldn't describe it, but her sensitive orc nose was not having it, making her stomach roll. She suppressed her disgust as she picked it up, along with any other corpses lying about her quarters, before walking out the door, a small pile of the creatures in her arms. She frowned at the heat that met her in the hall and regretted not tying her dreads back before leaving the cold comfort of her room, but with her hands full, her hair would have to wait. She looked around for anyone to ask if they knew what to do with the frog men, before shrugging and heading to the Bridge.

Despite having left her planet and uncivilized clan over 13 years ago, Gian was still unaccustomed to AIs. VIs? Demons possessing mechanics? Gian had no idea how to classify the cook's... pet. She rubbed her arms, smoothing the hair that had stood on end as she watched it fly off.

Once it was out of sight, she continued her walk to the Bridge.

Don had finally finished his large plate of food and was having a good smoke when he got a message from Ezro asking for him to amp up the difficulty on the sparing simulator. He grunted as he replied. 'I'll put it on the long list of shit to do. How much do you want me to amp it up? I can make it so you're fighting just physically stronger opponents or I can make things more 'interesting' by adding less human sim foes and maybe even arming the human ones. You can answer me when I get to the bridge' He sent the message as walked out of the cafe and towards the bridge running into Gain. "Well good morning." He said as he fell into step beside her as he puffed on his cigar. "Nothing like a good smoke after a meal."

What Marin8 Experiences:
Marine8's sensors detected non-exempted plant matter in its vicinity. Approaching its sensors also detected a variety of hazardous substances being ingested by the crew member Don Verton and an unauthorized fire (his cigar). Marin8's programming encountered a conflict. Isek had instructed it on what it was and was not allowed to do to crew members, and the only ways to quickly and efficiently seperate Don Verton from the hazardous substances he was inhaling and putting out the fire would conflict with them. Since the quickest and most efficient way to do so was decapitating him, Verton is extremely lucky. At the same time Marin8's programming meant that it was required to do prevent Verton from harming himself. This conflict terminated in the creation of a solution that would not violate any parameters.
Marin8 used its connection to the ship and activated the fire extinguishing system, which created an air-tight zone around the cigar and then disintegrated it. Current mission complete, Marin8 moved to the next task: accessing the data from the scan of the system they were in to discover edible materials. It moved back to the Bridge.

What Don Verger Sees:
Marin8 zooms past him just as cigar disappears. (Marin8's 'mind' was able to do all of the above in about a second.)
fuil fuil

The Bridge:
Marin8's memory shows that asking crew members is shorter than accessing the computer through its methods, so the course is clear:
"What's the meats and not meats for the eating around here, organ-havers?" it shouts at everyone on the Bridge.

Don watched as marin8 flew past him and as it did his cigar was snuffed out. "Dame you psycho bot stop destroying my cigars or I'll dismantle you next time you come in for a tune up." He yelled as it disappeared around the corner. This wasn't the first time the cooks bot had done this so it wasn't much of a surprise. He reached into his pocket and pulled out another one and light it, took a a deep puff before taking out his data pad and messaging the cook. 'Hey you mind keeping your bot away from my smokes, this is the 27th on it's destroyed. Seriously if you don't want it to wind up in the scrap heep I'd have a chat with it.'

Isek messages Don back.
"Marin8 does not possess the capability to destroy your cigars the way you described. It's more likely it's the ship's fire extinguishing system. You could just buy a cure for your addiction instead of spending all that money on cigars. We don't even loot enough of them to keep up with you."
Isek pockets his communicator and waits for Marin8 to return. No sense in letting anyone know how much access Marin8 has to the ship's systems.

Don looked at the pad and grunted as he typed. 'Yeah yeah keep saying that, just don't let it happen again. As for my 'addiction' I don't want a cure I enjoy it, just like my booze. They may be bad for me but to hell if I'm giving them up. As for keeping me supplied, the only reason I go through so many is because they keep getting destroyed.'

Liz 0081
"Oh boo hoo, I know it's not as serious as you say. Maybe I'll ask Don to put in a bot based around my combat style or something" She said with a shrug and turned to the other man who had come to join them and seemed pretty upset about not being able to do his job at the moment which honestly made her feel like a cock-block for lack of a better word. So she decided that she should try and make things a bit easier on him, "Honestly I couldn't tell what I was doing. I opened the program and was kind of confused as to what was going on. I had it find supply-caches and such but beyond that I didn't know what the hell I was doing besides the obvious of avoid large spacial bodies" She said with a small smile. The whole thing wasn't a complete lie but there was a little bit of a lie in that, she had the basics of what she was doing with the program but beyond that she was indeed clueless without the premade filters.

“Yeah yeah whatever, you’re not the one sparring with the damn things.” Ezro rolled his eyes before checking his data pod and looked at Dons message. ‘Great, hurry the hell up here then.’ With that sent, Ezro out the data pod in his shorts pocket. As he listened on to the pairs conversation, a small beep was sounded off from the navigation control. Whirling around, the young captain quickly accessed the program before viewing that they were within close range of their first destination. A small supply cache located on an abandoned moon base which was isolated among its system. The planet that it previously orbited lost energy in its core and collapsed in on itself leaving the small moon behind. “We’re about to arrive at the cache, prepare a to land near the base that way we can make quick work of the place.” Ezro ordered Liz.

With that said, he quickly grabbed the intercom microphone and sent out a message to the whole ship. “We’ll be arriving at a supply cache here soon. If you wish to come along, prepare all necessary equipment. We don’t know what we might find but it could be good.” Setting the microphone down, Ezro turned to Ross. “While we’re scavenging, scan the nearby area for any possible vessel encounters. I’d rather not have a run in with the ITF or lord forbid another pirate crew.”

Meanwhile Onboard an unknown vessel
The scouting machines signals were going off the charts. The radioactive frequency being shown was that of a precious ore that was too rare to be seen in the galaxy and it was a ton of it! It was either that or the unlikely chances of there being a horde of Flubberling corpses somewhere in this god forsaken asteroid field. A gruff and forceful voice sounded off, “Set a course for the source of that ore. If it’s there we’ll be set for life.”

Back On The Titan
Unbeknownst to Ezro, that ship was closing in on them by the hour. Unfortunately, the ships radar wasn’t able to detect the vessel due to some sort of cloaking device. Only at a close range would the ship be detected. Ezro carried on with his duties as normal making sure that the ships landing was smooth, barking out order left and right to make a hasty preparation for the landing party.

Don looke at the message and grunted as he sent orders to a few loader bots for his weapons to be brought to the bridge. He then looked towards his green skined ally and said. "Guess we should hurry up befor the cap has a hissy fit." He said as he picked up the pace to a slight jog. As he arrived at the door to the bridge a loader bot carrying all his gear arrived as well. "Hellow sweet hearts did you miss me." he said as he gathered his weapons and a duffle bag full of explosives. He walked into the bridge as he holesteard his weapons and slung the bag over his shoulder. "So cap you called. Morning Liz." He said as he nodded towards the cyborg.

Kitchen:
Marin8 returns with news of ingredients.
12 species of edible animals, although only 2 were worth collecting. An aquatic mammal resembling a manatee with an armored underbelly that could be used as a beef substitute. They stayed near the surface and fed on the massive algae growths on the top of the ocean, depending on their lower armor to protect them from predators. The lack of avian predators meant that taking them from above was a viable strategy. The other was a land crustacean resembling a 1-foot long blue-green centipede that could be used as a lobster substitute. The thing wasn't venomous, but anti-coagulants in its mouth could cause a bad enough wound to cause the victim to bleed out and it was hard to catch alive.

Four species of edible plants, although none of them would be viable as anything other than filler. Then a name caught Isek's eye. He recognized one of them, the Baccano Tree. Its fruit was nicknamed the "Rainbow Olive" after its color and texture and "Vice Trade" for its side effects. Eating one or two merely lessened the craving, but 10 of them was enough to immediately cure any nicotine addictions, at the cost of a blood-alcohol level that would best be labeled "drunk off your ass." The side-effects weren't commonly known (and actively supressed by the tobacco industry), with Isek only having gained this information when he was searching for a method to cure his cancer. The others thought he was only good for cooking, but he knew more about biology than any of them.

As a Medusa Snake burrowed through the back of his skull and down his spine, the wound closing behind it, Isek got an idea and made a plan. He turns to Marin8. "You will accompany the others to the cache and ensure these ingredients are brought back. Try to bring them in alive, but if you can't perform any required actions for storage and preparations before. You're authorized to use the recordings of the Captain's voice you made if anyone disagrees."
Isek then queues up 6 Porter Robots. "Assist Marin8 as necessary."
He turns to the 6 remaining Porter Robots. "Increase the number of nonlethal traps in the Kitchen, the usual settings. Then begin lunch preparation and set up Dinner as follows."

Isek uploads the dinner menu. "Stuffed-crust pizza with a side of green peas. Dessert will be chocolate pudding." He adds a list of pizza toppings they can pick from. If they don't enter in their preferences they're getting Frubberling pepperoni. He then alters the recipe for the pizza Don Verton will be eating so that it will include the equivlant of 10 Baccano fruits (since they're an olive substitute, including the use of their oil). He idly scratches at the back of his head and strokes the Medusa Snake currently there, he's long since stopped noticing the hissing. Isek smiles, there's no way to trace this back to him. The only person who possessed all the qualities necessary to do so (including spatial relations) was him, and he wasn't telling anyone.

And who would believe that Don wasn't drunk? He'd be dead from his vices by now if Isek hadn't been adding medication to his food. Isek frowned. They really needed a doctor for the ship, he was tired of having to make up the difference without getting anything for it. He'd fix that now. Isek uploads the medical assessments of each crew member to their communicators. Either they'd shape up or they'd stop complaining. Or more likely they'd do none of the former and more of the latter. At least this way it wasn't on him.

Moving to the back of the Kitchen, Isek enters his personal quarters. Fully shut off from the Kitchen by 2 sets of doors and an air-scrubber and with a second entrance to the main part of the ship, it ensured that rest and work stayed separate. Pulling open his closet he pulls out his combat suit. Full-body, incorporating the latest technology for fighting a guerilla war. With it and the enhancements his Medusa Snake-hosting body granted he could scuttle across walls and ceilings, dunk on the world's greatest basketball player (the Human one, not the Krallion one. (the sport having been seperated by height and species advantage centuries ago)), and sneak up on a cockroach. Of course the major downside was that it was so form-fitting that he couldn't carry as many weapons as he liked. He usually took his Bolt Gun and High-Frequency Blade.

The Gym:
Isek turned on the combat simulator, then placed his weapons in the Weapon Scanner. It would simulate the weapons for him so he wouldn't damage the ship. He spoke, "Setting Isek1." This was just for him to blow off steam through a one-sided, brutal slaughter. 13 Human opponents are generated at minimum difficulty and move to swarm him.
(Isek will be here for an hour or so).

Ezro nodded at Don has he arrived followed by Gian. “I was hoping you’d join us on the excavation. After all, only you know specifically what you’ll need for repairs and such. Hell knows hardly anyone else around here knows what they’re doing when it comes to repairing and improving machinery.” With that said, Ezro returned his gaze to the ever approaching moon base which was coming into a fuller view. Hardly and nature remained on the moon save for grassland and unsurprisingly polluted water masses. It’s no wonder the place had been left behind after the planets destruction. With no other resources to get them by they must’ve left in a hurry. Which was a good sign on the loot to be found.

Leaving the rest in Liz’ hands, Ezro left and quickly made his way through the ships halls and down the lift where he arrived on the habitation deck. Upon making his way back to his room, he freshened himself up before putting on the officers uniform he so commonly wore before equipping the dual holster he had slung at his side which carried his pistols. As well as this he clipped his pulse saber to his belt before looking himself over in the bedroom mirror. To finish it all off he tied his shaggy and long red hair back into a short pony tail to keep the hair out of his face. He would’ve gotten a hair cut a long time ago, but the long hair had actually grown on him (no pun intended) so he instead resolved to keep it figuring that it looked good on him.

Once he had all of his tools in order, the young captain quickly made his way back to the breach where the crew was still waiting but now the ship was now in landing distance. “Bring her down on the plains.” Ezro said as the small patch of green drew near. “We won’t want to leave any tracks.”

Liz 0081:
She listened as everything had happened around her but at the time had been absent-minded on her terminal. She hadn't paid much attention to the world around her but a few key phrases stuck in her mind. "Morning to you as well Don!" She said offering a polite smile to him and returning the nod, that was just general etiquette and without such a thing the world wouldn't go around nearly as smoothly as it did now a days. Then she made note of what Erzo had stated, pressing a few keys a robotic voice came through, "Captain overboard. Transferring Control to Identity: Liz." it spoke aloud over the speaker system. She moved her hands along the holographic display on her terminal and slowly began to land the ship, the grassland around them shaking before the large ship landed with as gentle a thud as a large metal ship could. "Alright everyone.. The captain is off the deck, so we'll need everyone we can off the ship to assist in transporting supplies." She spoke and stood from her chair now.

She knew she wasn't the one to be barking orders but when it came to this situation, efficiency was key and she figured the easiest way to do it was the way she knew how. "Alright everyone. Gian i'm going to ask you to go with Marin8 here to help in fetching ingredients for our following meals, if you have any issues just page in to the ship using that device we got a couple weeks back. Don, if you wouldn't mind assist Erzo with gathering whatever resources we can find on this planet." From here she turned a little bit and tried to figure out things more or less. "I'll remain on the ship with Ross to ensure that we don't have an intruder breach us, if danger is coming your way I'll contact you as quickly as is possible" she spoke to the remainder of the crew. The captain was always one to spring himself out and into danger rather than waiting for the rest of the group to go with him, hell she'd be fine if he'd take a droid but nope. He would usually go out by himself and leave her in charge of the parked ship, which made enough sense but it didn't cease the annoyance it brought to her.

Ross Skye - Bridge
Ross beamed at Ezro, invigorated by the captain's reassurance. Hearing Liz's words encouraged him even further. In a spectacular mood, he hopped onto his station and began scanning, humming as he did so. With a few clicks and taps, the ship began its radar pinging. Well, it wasn't radar: not by any traditional means. It used a different set of waves to scan, going further than radio waves but not penetrating anything that they wanted to scan for. He knew this from the top of his head down to the back of his hand... or something.

A familiar ping rang off as the scanner displayed a message that read: No ships within firing distance.

"Nope, no ships nearby!" he announced, spinning around in his chair to see everyone except Isek and the mechanic. "Ah, hello, Don, Gian."

Having not even a hint of bad feelings or premonitions, he disregarded a second scan. They'd be fine: it was just some scavenging anyways. Well, that was a delinquent term. Resupplying, excavating, or some other pristine term would fit this ship better, as he believed the captain would say. Considering the pride he took in it, it wasn't all too hard to believe. He quietly listened to Liz as she took command, nodding as he was positioned to remain aboard ship. It wasn't like he was awfully good at most physical things anyways, so this suited him quite well. Supposing Liz could defend much better than he, Ross spun back around to look at the display and began fiddling around with the ship's external cameras. The technology here wasn't that foreign to him, since he'd been here a while, but it was still jarring when he switched from a book or LCD screen to a holograph. Being able to see something but also see through it, that was what put him off. Squinting at the screen, he waited for the crew to depart where he would watch them as they labored. Strange in concept, but it was something to do to pass the time. It wasn't like he expected a ship to pop up out of nowhere and attack. That'd be preposterous, especially considering they were just restocking.

After the ship touched down, Ezro took a deep breath before releasing the locking mechanism on the ship exit. A shaft to the right side of the bridge slid open and a well of stairs conveyed out of the ships interior and led to the ground below. Nervously gripping his saber hilt, Ezro led the way off the ship and to the ground below. The young captain was able to put his finger on it, but something was making him feel uneasy. It could be multiple things, but again he couldn’t quite think of what it was. Besides Iseks erratic behavior earlier, there shouldn’t be anything else to be worried about.

As a sort of precaution, Ezro stopped and turned back to face Ross and Liz. “Stay sharp, we don’t want anything creeping up on us at all.” With that said, Ezro relaxed himself asks focused on the task at hand. Once himself and the landing party were on the ground, he looked upon then all and cleared his throat, “You all have your orders and specific items to find, try and work quickly and efficiently so we can get off this rock. Capiche?”

With that said, Ezro turned to his Second Mate and gave her a sympathetic smile. “Sorry that you got stuck helping out that trashy droid, but do try to keep an eye on it and those service droids it has with it. Isek’s been a little irritable lately and I’d rather avoid any disturbances because of it.” Ezro chuckled awkwardly before shaking his head, “Anyways, is there any specific loot you might be needing? If so I’ll keep an eye out for it for you.”

Don followed the captain off the ship and called back towards Liz. "If something does happen try not to beat the ship up too much. It'll be a pain in the ass to fix." He said as with a grunt. "And don't go getting your self hurt either, I can only fix parts of you." He looked towards Gain and shrugged as he said. "Better you than me." He took a swig of his flask and a deep puff of his cigar befor he nodded to Ezro in agreement. "The faster we're off this dirt pile the better, the fresh air thing gotta be bad for you."

Gian shook her head at Ezro, blinking slowly in replacement of a thankful smile for his thinking of her. She knew she had known the Captain long enough for him to read the gesture for what it was. Years of growing up in the wilderness left her mostly without specific material desires, and years more on her former ship made her devoid of wants... For the most part. If she saw something large and living on this planet, she was going to have to touch it, no holds barred.

Gian glanced up at Don, raising a brow in bemusement at his comment to her and Liz, eyes trailing the puff of smoke that leisurely drafted upwards. She wondered for a moment if it was a hazard, but trusted that an engineer, especially one of Don's caliber, would know if he was going to start a raging fire on an unfamiliar planet. She didn't know what material his smokes consisted of, considering that, on Rekkon, all smoking would knock even the largest orc out for at least half a day. Other-world substances were always fascinating to Gian, who only had what her Clan could find within their territory, let alone their planet.

Following that train of thought, Gian turned to the cook's bot. She knew the moment it had mentioned needing someone to go along with it, she would be the one doing so. If she wasn't ordered to, she would have volunteered herself. She didn't trust others with it. As much as she wanted to give the crew member, living or not, the benefit of the doubt, it left an uneasiness in her gut. Gian knew to trust her gut, having learned the hard way at an early age and being reminded every time she felt the chunk missing out of her ear, bitten out by a Unkogh that her and her young friends had wandered into the territory of. Gian reached into the pocket of her armor, a small compartment she had added near her oblique, and double checked she had her pager. She knew the danger of making judgement calls on a mission, especially with crew member of dubious loyalties, so if anything went wrong, she would let Liz know first and foremost.

Gian turned back to Don and Ezro. "Be watchful, for the beasts are of you." She told them the old Erktan proverb as if it hadn't been over a decade since she heard it said to her, and as she reached back to run a hand over the Fierhammer slung over her back, extending the handle and adjusting it for easy access, she thought about how it rang true for the bot she would be travelling with. There wasn't a doubt in her mind that the cook's pet would be keeping an eye on her, just as she was told to do to it. Its six companions hovered menacingly behind it, seeming to prove her point.

After Gian enters the skiff, Marin8 reaches into itself and pulls out a very large fish tank, which it places in the corner. It then pulls out two extendible mancatchers and gives one to Gian. The trip to the (lobster-centipede things) takes less than 5 minutes at full speed, and Marin8 moves the skiff to hover a foot off the ground.
"Catch them, don't get bitten, and don't damage them. their bites make your blood not want to be inside you as much and you need your blood." Marin8 deftly snatches one of the crustaceans off the ground and plops it into the fish tank, where a Porter Robot quickly stuns it. Marin8 continues catching them and begins playing a waltz over its speakers for reasons known only to it.

When the tank is halfway full Marin8 will turn to Gian. "I know what you and the others think of me. It's hurtful. I don't treat you like you're not a person, even though all the others think you're just a trained savage. That's why they sent you to do this, they don't trust you with real work. Isek doesn't know they don't like him either."
There's a sound like an electronic whine and Marin8 suddenly jerks.
"WHICH IS WHY YOU ALWAYS lOOK BOTH WAYS BEFORE CROSSING THE STREET!!!!!!! I have candy for daydaydaysssssssss.........."
