It was time for a conference of Legendaries and Mythicals. They, and those they’ve partnered with were meeting in the bottom floor of Terminus Cave to discuss a plan of action. Zygarde, the elected leader of the Legendaries and Mythicals and still without a partner, was currently outlining the current situation through the use of the telepathy all Legendaries and Mythicals shared.

“As you can see, Necrozma, Giratina, and Mewtwo, as well as their allies, have taken over the entirety of Poni Island in Alola. The people and Pokemon they have recruited include former members of Team Rocket and Team Skull, random criminals, and plenty of dark-natured wild Pokemon. The question right now is what to do from here. May I remind you that daytime is essentially gone now, and we failed our attempt at bringing it back. The human cities get more panicked by the day. We must know all options, even unethical ones.”

Erik thought for a while, but couldn’t come up with anything. That was fine. He worked better reacting anyways. So instead he looked around Terminus Cave. The dark stone, the dripping water. Latios, or Eon as Erik liked to call him, was probably stressed, as there wasn’t access to the sky. So Erik reached out with his powers to soothe his mind, and Eon calmed. ‘That’s better. Hopefully someone else will have good ideas.’ He thought.

Gale, Partner of Kyurem

Cool as ice. That's how Gale seemed at the moment. That's how she was trying to seem at least? She was fidgeting, she knew that, but otherwise she seemed calm... Okay not calm, but at least not as crazy as she felt inside. Gale's mind was racing miles a minute and she was subconsciously projecting her inner rant at her Pokémon. Vixie was snuggled up against Gale's leg and Yuki put her consolingly arm on Gale's shoulder. Kyruem on the other hand kept looking back at Gale as they tried to focus on what Zygarde was saying.

"Why are we here and not... We could beat them why do we... Poni Island! They're in my homeland- we did we just leave!"

"Gale. Be quiet. I'm trying to listen." The icy legendary said, interrupting the trainer's mental rant.

"But you already know a lot about this! We flew away from where the three legendaries ended up! I don't understand-"

"We would've lost. That's why not. Now please at least stop shouting a mental barrage at me."

Gale sighed, but did her best to stop. Her mind did its best to change subjects, turning to the other legendaries and their partners. It was still hard to keep her mind focused on anything but the evil pokemon and trainers occupying Poni Island. How many trainers had said they were heading off to Poni Island before the darkness? All of it just made Gale hate the fact she was standing around in a cave in another region!

Log

Day 1 - 25/03/████
The Mystery Box my parents found 20 years ago, on ██/██/████, has finally opened, and it just so happened to be a week after the sky turned dark for good. I discovered a new species with a silver liquid metal main body, hex nut-shaped golden head and wire-shaped tail-like structure. There were ten specimens that emerged. I tried to contact Professor Rowan regarding my new studies, but he was not contactable. For the time being, I will allow them to frolick around the house.

Day 2 - 26/03/████
The specimens have been caught eating my kitchen utensils, included five forks, three spoons and two thirds of a frying pan. It is apparent that their diet is primarily composed of metal, with no evidence of other items. I gave them a fourth spoon to eat, and soon, they gained a liking to me. Taking this information into account, I spent the whole afternoon Pokeproofing my metal items and leaving metallic waste like used drink cans or canned food cans for the specimens to eat.

Day 3 - 27/03/████
Based on my observations, a specimen with a blue tail and dark-coloured head, as opposed to the standard specimen with a red tail and a light-coloured head, proclaimed itself as a type of leader. I also believe that the blue-tailed specimen is an example of the Shiny Phenomenom, most noted in the Red Gyrados of the Lake of Rage. I will dub this specimen 'Bluetail'.

...

Day 7 - 31/03/████
Looking through my files on relics, I found a picture of the specimens alongside the Mystery Box they emerged from. I am unable to fully understand these ancient texts, but from what I can read and what I can translate with the materials I have at hand, these specimens are Meltan, a species that appeared in ancient times, from 3000 years ago. Huh, 3000 years ago... a lot happened in that era. You have to wonder if every big event that happened then is connected.

There was also a post-it note referring to the Meltan. It seems that my parents believed that these Meltan were a type of tool or object, as opposed to a species of Pokemon.

...

Day 11 - 04/04/████
I decided to give the Meltan accessories to differentiate them. Pokemon accessories are not at all hard to find when you live in Sinnoh. The only thing I had to make sure of was that I did not use anything metallic. Aside from Bluetail, I gave the nine Meltan accessories and named them based on what they wore.

Tophat wore such a hat on its head
Bowtie wore a red ribbon on its tail
Scarf wore a silky red Joltik-size scarf around its supposed neck
Monoeye wore a sunglass. Yes, I mean a sunglass, not sunglasses
Umbrella is rather bonded to a little umbrella I got it, and would often hang it on its head when it was closed
Onesie wears a Pikachu onesie.
Beanie has a beanie hat.
Stickers preemptively slapped various stickers on its head prior to this.
Flowey attached a bright, blooming flower to its head.

...

Day 14 - 07/04/████
Today I wanted to test the battle skills of the Meltan. I will use my own Pokemon, Honedge and Bronzor, for this.

Based on how they prevented my Bronzor from being withdrawn into its Pokeball, and their tendency to eat metals, their ability is Magnet Pull. No other abilities were displayed. As for their moves...

...

Day 20 - 13/04/████
The Meltan appear to be capable of some type of telepathy. They have recently used their abilities to transmit telepathic images into my head, particularly of what seems to be a bigger Meltan with a bulkier build, towering over any humans seen in the same visions.

...

Day 25 - 18/04/████
The Meltan have started to send me telepathic messages depicting a green-black serpent Pokemon with hexagonal shapes on its body. Research would find that it was Zygarde, a Legendary Pokemon that inhabited Terminus Cave in the Kalos region.

...

Day 27 - 20/04/████
These telepathic messages are getting more frequent, with images of other Pokemon recognised in myth and legend. What could this mean?

Day 28 - 21/04/████
Another vision was seen. A vision of a shining, bright dragon, and more visions of Zygarde's territory - Terminus Cave.

Day 29 - 22/04/████
I do not know precisely what the Meltan are trying to tell me, but I have to take them to Terminus Cave in the Kalos region. I am taking the ship today and it should not take long.

Day 30 - 23/04/████
Well...

6LbAwVe.jpg

A young girl accompanied by a Honedge and Bronzor hovering by her flanks enters Terminus Cave, looking about and in utter shock at the sight of so many legendary Pokemon. She was shorter tham most who were present. Carrying a camera with her, she continuously snaps photographs of the various Pokemon.

"I've never seen this wide an array of Legendary Pokemon before in one place," the lady bemused, "I wonder which will be my bigger breakthrough - finding all these Legendary Pokemon interacting, or rediscovering a species forgotten by humanity for 3000 years..."

She then looks at Zygarde.

"I believe my little friends were trying to tell me about you," she says, then bows in respect before rising, "my name is Tallica. This here is Honedge, this here is Bronzor, and these are the Meltan that I am currently researching - say hi to Bluetail, Tophat, Bowtie, Scarf, Monoeye, Umbrella, Onesie, Beanie, Stickers and Flowey."

The ten Meltan cheerfully waved at all around as their bodies peered out of an unzipped carrier bag.

"With the knowledge that you are capable of directly communing with humans, I am considering asking you all what happened 3000 years ago - but I suppose we're all focused on the present now. Where do I tie into this, anyways? I have not been sought by any kind of Legendary Pokemon before entering this cave."

TONI & MANAPHY

With a sleeping Manaphy held in his arms, Toni stroked the Pokémon soothingly as his listened do to what Zygarde explained. This whole situation was utterly crazy if not absolutely bonkers. Just a month or two ago life had been going on as usual and yet here he was, standing next to actual deities and discussing the fate of the entire world. At first Toni had been downright terrified but he soon grew a great interest in all of it. It was all so exciting that Toni couldn’t even hide the wide smile stretched across his pale face. Everything was all so new. He’d never seen the people, Pokémon, or the land he now stood on before. Not to mention all of the questions that danced through his brain. Fishing one from out of his head he freed an arm in order to raise it.

“This isn’t really a solution to the whole end of the world as we know it thing but I was wondering...how long do we have? Like, what’s the time span between now and ‘oh no we’re all gonna die’. Any time limits might impact the possible plans we make Mister Z”.

He heard someone introducing themselves so he thought to do so too.

“My name’s Toni by the way! My other Pokémon are in their balls right now but I’m sure that they’d be happy to meet y’all too!”

Woken up by the young boy’s words, Manaphy rubbed their eyes sleepily as it looked at each of the members in the group. The severity of the situation didn’t seem to phase Manaphy as much as it really should have. All that the Pokémon thought of was when they could play and looking at the colorful cast, there were sure to be some fun playmates there! Manaphy couldn’t really be blamed for this inappropriate attitude. They were still considerably young compared to the other legendaries and had a smaller impact on the world around them. Manaphy wiggled their way out of Toni’s grasp and began to more closely observe the area for anyone they could play with. Hearing the snap of a camera nearby, Manaphy decided to investigate that and headed over to where a silver haired girl stood before quickly becoming more interested in the Meltan that we’re in her bag.

"That's Manaphy, guardian of the seas! To see it so far away from its habitat..." Tallica snaps a few of pictures of Manaphy.

Meanwhile, the Meltan gang hops out of the carrier bag. The blue-tailed one circles Manaphy for a bit. All ten of them seem rather curious about the blue-hued sea prince, continuously tilting their heads and wondering what it was.

They all then repeatedly cheered in glee and delight at the prospect of making a new friend, their squeals audible as their hex nut-like heads rotated rapidly.

Tallica briefly took out a tablet as she logs some information inside.

There are all kinds of Legendary Pokemon here, the kinds you would not expect in the same place! The Meltan are currently interacting with Manaphy, the prince of the seas. They seem to take a liking to it, which is expected, considering the curious nature I've recorded them having for a while.

Zygarde looked at the silver haired lady taking pictures, showing surprise at the Meltan popping out of her bag. "Oh, it seems some of us hadn't arrived yet. Wait..."

Zygarde turned and shouted telepathically, "Erik! Why wasn't I notified not all Mythicals had arrived yet?"

"You just started! There wasn't an opportunity!" Erik shouted back. He grumbled. 'Might as well head over.' he thought.

Zygarde turned again to the other Legendaries and Mythicals, and said, "Feel free to wander around and think about what I asked." "Now," he said to the silver haired lady "You may think you have not been sought out, but those Meltan are Mythical Pokemon, and that's good enough." By now Erik had made his way over, Eon following behind.

"Don't worry Z-man, I'll explain what's going on." Erik communicated telepathically. Zygarde walked off sulking. Ah, "So, what's your name? And yours too, I never got the chance to meet you. I'm one of the people who helped set this up." He asked the new lady and the kid with Manaphy, still using his powers.

Richter and Tapu Koko
Richter lounged against a cave wall, tapping his foot and fidgeting his fingers. He'd never been one to stand still and the threat of impending doom seemed to go right over his head as he hummed a song and tried to place it. His Pokemon were spread around him as he didn't think it fair for them to have to sit around in pokeballs while he was out doing well... not much else but he didn't think it caused any harm for them to be out. Blitz was curled up a little to his right lazing around as the cat pokemon usually enjoyed to do, the fiery bell that hung at Blitz's neck provided a small bit of light in the dark cave. Mint stood beside of him, the Fomantis took in the heat graciously with her eyes closed. Rex had taken a seat right beside of Richter ears up and at attention. Squirt shivered in between them, the Wimpod's eyes flicked back and forth nervously at all the humans and pokemon around. Blu was taking a nap not fitting on Richter's shoulder due to his stance so the bird pokemon had taken to a perch high on the cave's wall.

Richter felt the anger radiating off of Tapu Koko, Richter understood how the pokemon felt, not that he remembered word for word exactly what Zygarde had said but it was something about Poni island being taken, If it'd been Melemele he didn't know whether or not the Tapu would be able to contain himself to strategize, and Richter would probably be on the same wavelength. Losing an island had to be like the worst kind of feeling to an island guardian. Richter looked over to where one trainer introduced herself, quickly followed by another. So it was time for introductions?

Richter pushed himself off of his lean and loudly announced. "I'm Richter, from Melemele island, the partner of Tapu Koko". Richter beat one hand on his chest for extra emphasis. Richter's enthusiasm seemed to rub off on his Lycanroc. Rex lifted his head and howled as if he was introducing himself as well. Blitz lifted his head and meowed in an annoyed matter for the two waking him up. Tapu Koko's eyes flicked over for a moment, though only for a moment. It appeared the Island Guardian was used to this boy's antics.

Lucas Reed, partner of Kyogre
The scene Lucas found himself a part of was awe inspiring. Dozens of unique Pokémon, the subjects of myths and legends, were all around. Many people would spend their lives hoping to see just one of the legendary Pokémon that surrounded them. Beside him, Juno was equally in awe. The little Oshawott felt even smaller than usual with the likes of Kyogre beside him. Trainer and Pokémon shared a look of excitement, amazed at the adventure that lay before them.

As Lucas looked around the room, his eyes locked onto a small icy Pokémon. It looked almost like a Vulpix, if it had been left in a freezer for a week. Regardless, it was absolutely adorable and Lucas wanted nothing more than to pet it. He glanced at the girl beside the little creature, finding she looked oddly calm given the situation.

The large sea basin Pokémon known as Kyogre eyed the human partner it had chosen as he marched off to socialize. He resembled his mother more so than his father, but Lucas was undeniably Alexander's son. It couldn't believe how much time had passed, had it really been so long since Alexander himself was that age?

The young water-specialist had decided he should introduce himself to some of the other people gathered. He also really wanted to meet the cute ice Pokémon he had spotted. "Hey there," he called as he strode over to the girl and her freezer Vulpix "you're Kyurem's partner, right?"

"Meltan? Mythical Pokemon?" This piqued Tallica's curiousity. She picked Flowey up among the Meltan and examined it. "Are they Protectors of people and Pokemon like the Swords of Justice, Harbringers of Natural Forces like Xerneas and Yveltal, maybe even worshipped as gods? There's also the fact that I could find multiples of them, even though I don't see multiples of the others... do I?"

Tallica looks towards Zygarde.

"The way I've observed them, they seemed to be another Pokemon species to add to the Pokedex," she puts Flowey back down to join the other Meltan, "if there's more to them..."

Her eyes gaze upon the curious Meltan as her mouth smiles.

"... then I think I'll find out soon enough."

Isla and Suicune

Isla gazed around the damp, musty space she currently found herself in. Just a week prior Isla had been sitting at her desk in Ecruteak City, transcribing her mother's latest findings into a leather journal. Now she was seated next to Suicune in Terminus Cave surrounded by people she didn't know and legendary pokemon. Isla held her pen tightly in her hand, clicking the cap repeatedly. Just how had she gotten herself into this mess? She turned to Suicune, who sat beside her listening intently to the current conversation.

Now that she thought about it, her chance encounter with Suicune was the catalyst for her current predicament. Isla had been perfectly content with her life, helping her mother at Burned Tower, studying every historical document she could get her hands on. She was focused on her future, spending her time researching, studying, anything to help her move towards her goal of becoming a professor. So why had she of all people been chosen to assist Suicune in saving the world? It was fate, she thought. Isla, who dreamed of teaching others about history, had now found herself right in the middle of it. She shook her head, letting out a deep sigh. "Focus, Isla," she told herself. "This isn't about you, it's about everyone." Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Suicune turn to her, a concerned expression on its face. She turned to Suicune and gave it a weak smile. "I'm alright," she reassured, patting Suicune on the head. "Besides, we have more pressing matters to worry about."

Focusing on her surroundings, Isla truly realized the gravity of the situation. She and all these other people, none of who looked to be much older than her, had been chosen to take on this grueling task of saving the world. It was up to them and them alone. She spotted a girl surrounded by 10 small, metallic creatures. As Isla watched the curious Pokemon at the girl's feet, a wave of déjà vu struck her. "Where have I seen these things before?" Suddenly, she felt a nudge against her back. Suicune stood behind her, shoving her in the strange girl's direction. "Alright, alright, you can quit pushing me," Isla mumbled. "I'll go talk to her." She stood up, brushing the dust off her skirt. She approached the girl, the odd Pokemon scattered at her feet. "Um, excuse me," Isla stuttered nervously. "What are those Pokemon?"

★| Night Nicely |★
|Interactions: All at the meeting|

Night quickly reached the area of the cave where all the legendaries resided, He was greeted by the image of foreign and exotic pokemon, reining from different myths some even depicted as gods; huddled casually in a circle. Of course this was not the true feeling he was grabbing from the area, both him and meloetta could sense the distress and anxiety being tackled in this meeting. He slowly walked towards the mixed group of pokemon and humans, "Sorry I had to run a little late," he took of his pink tinted sunglasses,"My pilot got into an accident, and had to go on a normal flight." He took a long sigh and, Meloetta even grew slightly annoyed by the comment.

His feet created a symphony of sounds when he walked on the stone floor. His tennis shoes jingled along with the echoing click clack of his steps, as the fashionable zippers bounced out and in from the shoes. He moved his hair to the side trying to keep his calm, but inside he had been a mess. He hated everything about the situation the selfish legendaries created. And prayed to a god that was banished in another realm, for him to be able to share his game plan.

The sounds stopped as he reached the perimeter of the circle. He took of his sweater and wrapped it around his waist. The shirt under being a plain black T-shirt. Meloetta flew up and began to float around the circle, reviewing it. His eyes wandered across the circle reviewing the trainers and their legendaries.

TONI AND MANAPHY
Manaphy seemed to really appreciate the Meltans’ gesture of acceptance. Looking back up at the girl the Pokémon gave a wide smile before they continued playing with the group. There weren’t really any toys around but the sea prince was content with simply hopping around them. As a pretty blonde lady walked up to where the meltan were, seemingly interested in the grey little fellows. She looked nice so they waved to her with one of their blue arms.

“Hi hi! Hi hi!”

Manaphy’s speech wasn’t at as high of a level as the other legendaries but they at least knew a how to say a few words in human language. Toni the past month had been teaching Manaphy how to speak more words and sentences.

Speaking about Toni he had heard someone ‘speak’ to him but nobody seemed to be moving their mouths. He had to take a double take to realize that he was experiencing some sort of telepathy. Toni knew that the big Z guy had been communicating that way but he hadn’t realized that there were average people with the ability. Locating the source of the telepathy Toni saw a young man a few years older than he was. He eagerly went up to him and began to ramble off.

“Woah, That’s so cool! I had no idea that regular people could even do that! What’s the secret to it?“

Realizing he was coming off a bit strong on the young man Toni took a moment to calm himself before continuing his words.

“Sorry about that, as I said back there m’names Toni. I’m partnered up with....wait a minute, what’s Mana up to now?”

He quickly located the Pokémon from within the group. Satisfied that they were safe and sound he simply pointed to where they were. Toni would pick the little guy up after they had all of their fun.

“I’m partnered up with the Manaphy over there! Though I call them Mana for short. It rolls off the tongue way better. Are you with Mister Z?”

"They're Meltan. I discovered- uh- rediscovered them a month back. Apparently they've been hidden for 3000 years. Quite the comeback they're having," Tallica replies to Isla as she looks at her various Meltan playing with Manaphy, "everyone here has a Legendary Pokemon that approached them and lead them here, and apparently these little guys are mine. I find it a little hard to believe myself, but if the protector of our planet's ecosystem says so, I don't have too much of a reason to doubt it..."

Tallica greets Toni. "Toni, was it? Manaphy looks like quite the partner to have. Recently-hatched, I assume? Oh right, my name is Tallica. These are my Pokemon, Honedge, Bronzor and my ten Meltan."

Name: Auburn King

Age: 24.

Gender: Female.

Sexuality: Bisexual.

Status: Fine.

Location: Terminus Cave.

Auburn casually walked along route eighteen with her hands stuffed into her hoodie pockets. Archie was nervously flapping beside her, and the Legendary Pokemon Yveltal was tailing them in the back. After the incident with Team Flare, the Legendary explained how there was an emergency meeting at Terminus Cave, and Auburn was supposed to come along. She wasn't exactly sure why a person like herself belonged at a Legendary meeting, but considering the sky was pitch black, she wasn't in a position to object. It was also the least she could do to repay Yveltal for helping her with Team Flare, and they were already in the same region anyway. Archie didn't seem to like Yveltal following them around though, and Auburn couldn't blame them considering how massive the Legendary was.

Yveltal was a literal behemoth who was accompanying a pair of ants. It just didn't look right from a distance, and the thick atmosphere wasn't helping either. The entire route looked deserted, and there wasn't a single creature aside from themselves. It was a gloomy sight seeing the once-bustling Kalos region turn into a lifeless wasteland. Auburn quickly shook the thought away as she approached the entrance of Terminus Cave and stopped. She could already hear voices inside and it was safe to assume that they were late for the meeting. Archie was visibly trembling next to her trainer and decided to take comfort inside of her hoodie. Auburn just rolled her eyes and gently stroked the bird, hoping it would help calm them down. Yveltal watched emotionlessly behind them, but their tense aura implied that they were starting to get restless. Auburn took a deep breath before entering the dark cavern and searched around for the crowd they were supposed to meet. There was no one at the entrance, but the echoing voices implied that they were deeper within.

Auburn started to navigate the maze-like corridors while Yveltal struggled to squeeze through the doorway. When they finally managed to fit inside, their wings were crumpled up, and their neck was bent at an awkward angle so their head wouldn't hit the ceiling. Although this slowed down the Legendary Pokemon, they managed to find Auburn with ease because of the feathery trail Archie was leaving behind. The trainer was standing in the doorway of the meeting area as their silent gaze wandered over everyone. There was a group of unique characters here, but what interested Auburn more was the variety of Legendary Pokemon. Archie peeked out from her hiding spot as Auburn walked closer to the crowd of people and folded her arms. Yveltal squeezed into the thankfully larger room and spread their wings as they walked over to their chosen companion. Surely someone must have noticed their arrival, it was hard to miss a Pokemon of mass destruction after all.

Gale and Kyurem

Gale was snapped out of her thoughts by a blue haired trainer and his Oshawott greeting her. It took her a moment to realize Zygarde had said something about wandering around and socializing.

"Yep-" Gale begins telepathically before realizing she was doing so.

"Oops, habit. I'm Kyurem's partner alright. You're.." Gale looked to the Oshawott near the trainer, the blue color scheme and where she thought he had walked from. "Kyogre's partner, right?"

Lucas Reed

“Right" Lucas echoed, glancing back at the large sea Pokémon. “Lucas Reed, you can call me Luke if you want, and beside me is Juno” trainer and Pokémon bowed in unison, a goofy grin on the boy's face.

Lucas' attention then shifted to the small creature that had originally caught his eye. Ducking to the Pokémon's level, he held his hand out to it. “And who is this adorable little fluffer?” Lucas asked in a cutesy tone that suggested he was talking to the Pokémon rather than the trainer. Cheeks reddening in embarrassment, Lucas glanced back up at the girl and rephrased the question in less embarrassing terms. “I mean; this is a cool Pokémon, what’s it called?”

Gale and Kyurem

Gale couldn't help, but giggle a bit at how Lucas had talked to Vixie. It was just so cute and silly how the trainer was talking to the Pokémon. Vixie on the other hand seemed slightly conflicted. The little ice fox hated being treated like a baby, but she loved getting compliments. The Vulpix yipped in an annoyed kind of away, but then began nuzzling Lucas.

"That is Vixie, she's a variant of Vulpix that lives in Alola." Gale said while attempting to stifle any further laughs. "And my name's Gale. Well Abby Snow, but I go by Gale. And oh, don't pet Vixie's tail. She hates that."

Isla and Suicune

"Meltan, you say?" Isla replied, a puzzled look crossing her face. She stared down at the curious creatures that bounced around at her feet. "Where have I heard that name before?" As she tried to jog her memory, she noticed a small, blue Pokemon wave at her. She crouched down to meet its cheerful gaze. "Hello there, little one. You must be Manaphy." Isla waved back, a soft smile creeping across her face. She stood back up and noticed a blue-haired boy standing next to the girl with the Meltans. "Sorry, I couldn't help but overhear your conversation. Toni and Tallica, correct?" She beckoned Suicune, who had remained where she had previously been sitting, to join her. "My name is Isla, and this is my partner, Suicune." Suddenly, she felt rustling inside the bag tucked at her side. A moment later, a small, blue head popped out the top. "Azu! Azu!" Isla giggled, patting the Pokemon on the head gently.

"Finally awake, I see." She pulled the Pokemon out of her bag, clutching it to her chest in a hug. "This little guy is my other partner, Azurill. It's a pleasure to meet you." Isla placed Azurill on the cave floor, the hyper Pokemon quickly bouncing towards Manaphy. Azurill bounced around Manaphy in a playful gesture, smiling widely. A quiet laugh escaped Isla's lips. "Azurill, please don't pester Manaphy." Isla shook her head, turning to the two in front of her. "It seems he wants to be friends with Manaphy." It was then that Isla noticed a girl with red hair enter the cave, a large, bird-like Pokemon beside her. Her eyes, full of shock, locked on the Pokemon. Suicune, who stood at her side, visibly tensed up, shifting closer to Isla. "Is that... Yveltal?"

TONI & MANAPHY

“Tallica and Isla? I’ll be sure to remember both of your names, and don’t worry about Azurill, Mana loves playing with basically anyone!”

Toni’s words were soon shown to be true as Manaphy gleefully accepted the blue mouse into the group by gently patting Azurill on the head. With now ten Meltan and an Azurill as friends the little guy couldn’t be any happier. The Pokémon excitedly looked back at his partner before hopping up to his bag. Inside were three Pokéballs that contained a Meditite, a Swablu, and a Poliwag in each. The sea prince released all three so they could also join in on all of the fun too. Toni gave back a smile to Manaphy and the gang before turning back to Tallica and Isla. He remembered that the former girl asked about his partner’s age and decided to finally answer. “Yeah, Mana can’t be any older than a year right now. I wonder what he’ll be like when he’s fully grown...”

Toni’s carefree face turned to a more thoughtful expression. Would Manaphy even stay with him after all of this or would he simply go back to Sinnoh? Toni couldn’t deny that Manaphy had quite the important job to fulfill but that still wouldn’t make it hurt any less if he did have to leave him one day. Deciding that now wasn’t the time to think about stuff like that, Toni quickly became more interested in the giant Y-shaped death bird that waltzed in with another trainer.

“Woah! That guys absolutely huge!”. Toni waved to where the Pokémon’s partner stood and shouted in her direction. “Dude! Is Yveltal your partner? He looks AWESOME! I can’t believe that Kalos has such an cool looking guy as their legendary!” The boy didn’t seem to realize that some others may have been scared by the legendary Pokémon but he himself couldn’t quell the burning excitement inside. Sure the other legendaries here were equally awesome (especially a certain Kyogre one guy had) but the Yveltal he read about in myths always seemed like such a majestic yet dangerous and unforgiving being. It was basically the god of death for Arceus’ sake! He’d have to be lying to say that he wasn’t at least somewhat interested in the being.

Auburn squirmed uncomfortably under the unnecessary situation and shifted her gaze to the ground. Although the trainers were more interested in the giant birdlike Pokemon beside her, she wasn't good with large amounts of attention, and this was right outside of her comfort zone. Yveltal seemed to be unphased by the wandering eyes and blankly stared at everyone making mental notes of each individual. Archie could sense the distress in her trainer and tried to comfort Auburn by nuzzling into their neck. A small smile formed across the girls face, but it wasn't visible because of her mask. The smile quickly faded, however, when a trainer directly spoke to Auburn and started asking her questions.

She stole a glance at the bird Legendary but noticed that they were looking somewhere else. "I'm not sure if they would go so far as to consider me their partner. We barely even know each other, and just a few weeks ago they were trying to kill me. I'm just along for the ride at this point." Auburn's voice was devoid of emotion, but her eyes told a different story as she shrugged and looked away. "I like your Manaphy, though." The last part was barely audible as Auburn started to walk past the other trainers. She bumped into a girl with a Suicune, and their eyes locked for a split second until Auburn looked away.

Yveltal didn't follow, but the girl didn't seem to care as she sat down far away from the others. Auburn just wanted this meeting to be over with so she could get up and go home. She already did what she came here to do, and Auburn didn't want to get involved with any more unrelated affairs. So, why did she feel so bad about the whole thing? Auburn sadly looked at Yveltal before shaking her head and placing down her black rucksack. After reaching inside, Auburn pulled out five different colored Poke Balls that each carried their scars and stories. The girl gingerly ran her thumb over the surface of each ball before releasing the contents and smiling at the Pokemon that came out.

The different Pokemon looked around confused at their surroundings until Auburn spoke up in a soft tone. "Hey, I know you guys might not know where you are, but I'll explain everything later. Just get some fresh air, and try not to cause any trouble alright?" The Pokemon all stared at their trainer for a moment before they eagerly nodded and wandered off in different directions. Chomp excitedly ran over to a group of Meltan, while Pebbles stumbled their way into a trainer with an Oshawott. Queen had seemed to take an interest in an Alolan Vulpix and was curiously circling them. Hollow slithered over to the trainer with the Manaphy and was staring at them with an eerie smile.

Auburn was calmly watching everything from a distance but seemed to be in deep thought. Although she appeared to be somewhat intimidating, upon closer inspection, the girl looked more sad and lonely than anything else. Archie was still trying to comfort her trainer but had finally come out of the girl's hoodie. Yveltal was searching for Zygarde but every so often would glance at Auburn. The Legendary's expression was still unreadable, and it was hard to tell what its true intentions were. What were they thinking?

The water in the cave began to ripple, and suddenly, from behind Kyogre, a big silver Pokémon burst from the water, and across it’s shoulders a rather bedraggled looking young woman, soaked to the bone and not looking happy.

Lugia flapped it’s wings slowly as it descended, kicking up a pretty big wind as it’s feet finally touched down on the ground. My apologies, friends, for my lateness, it projected to everyone telepathically with it’s honeyed, motherly voice, it took some convincing for this one to take the dive.

“Lulu, I can’t breathe underwater.” Cross exclaimed, clinging to the Legendary’s neck. The matronly voice chuckled in her head, you underestimate my power, little one. But I digress.

Lugia extended a wingtip to the floor, allowing Cross to slide down to the stone, still disoriented. She sat there for a moment, catching her breath, before she slowly stood up, shaking her hair and pulling it out of her ponytail and letting it fall over her shoulders.

“You are so lucky that I have a waterproof backpack and a spare set of clothes.” She said tersely to the Lugia, whom looked amused but said nothing. The young woman pulled her backpack off her back and began to pull various things from inside, all shockingly dry. Eventually she retrieved a plastic bag full of predictably green clothes and she looked about ready to start simply stripping down, when she suddenly realized that she was surrounded by people. She blinked slowly, then gestured for Lugia to come closer. After a brief whispered exchange, the Lugia shielded her with its massive wing and blocked her from view of all the people while she changed.

Lugia looked over the crowd of Legendaries, it’s neck twisting around to gaze at all of them individually, before it finally fell on Suicune and it paused, nodding a greeting to the Water type Legendary. ‘Tis good to see you, friend, Lugia projected to Suicune, dipping it’s head down to boop noses in greeting. It has been far too long.

When Lugia finally moved her arm, Cross was standing there, dressed in freshly dry clothes, that being a white tank top, khaki cargo pants and a dark green flannel shirt left open so she could take it off if need be.

She was busily wringing the saltwater out of her hair while Lugia continued to glance about. Zygarde, it projected to the Pokémon in question, I apologize for my lateness. Did we miss anything?

Richter watched as more and more people arrived, and he watched the other trainers beginning to socialize. One that took his notice was mostly when this long necked pokemon flew out of the water. He might should've brushed up on his legendaries cause he had no idea what half of these pokemon were called and he figured it'd be a bit rude to ask at this very moment. He also had no plan of action to give out to the others. He saw Blitz get up and walk over to another side of the cave as he was splashed with water, the Torracat sulked against another cave wall and he began to lick himself clean. He would've asked if the girl was okay but she seemed to recover quite quickly.

Richter looked over to Tapu Koko who was now hovering back and forth as if he was pacing. "Hey, who else are we waiting for" Richter asked? Not really sure if anyone knew the answer but it was better than being quiet in the corner.

Toni & Manaphy
Toni barely heard the girl compliment his Manaphy but right as she left he cheerfully replied “Thanks, I like your hoodie by the way!” Oblivious to her obvious discomfort.

Seeing the Litwick come up and stare at him, Toni thought that though it was definitely very, very, creepy the little fellow was also pretty adorable. His Meditite, named Berry, seemed to also agree. The little gal broke off from Manaphy’s play group in order to meet the little Pokémon. She gleefully held her hand out for the Litwick to shake and greeted them with a friendly “Meditite medi med!” Lickwicks weren't exactly native to the Hoenn region so Toni thought to check out his Pokédex and see what it said about the Pokémon. In its automated voice the Pokédex spoke, “Litwick, the candle Pokémon. Litwick shines a light that absorbs the life energy of people and Pokémon, which becomes the fuel that it burns”

With this new knowledge Toni took a small step back just in case. He knew that the Pokémon was probably not gonna suck out his or Berry’s soul but it wouldn’t hurt to be safe. Just to be sure he turned to where Yveltal’s trainer had gone and asked “Your little guy won’t steal my soul right?” As he examined the top of Lickwick’s head in search for any soul sucking lights, Berry didn’t seem to be all that worried about it. The psychic fighting type Pokémon seemed to be actually pretty interested in the other. Maybe it was the allure of the flame atop Lickwick’s head or maybe it was just it’s general cuteness but Berry was utterly enamored with it. She dug into her trainer’s bag for a Oran berry and gifted it to the little Litwick as a present.

Unfortunately Toni was too focused on the purple flame to notice Lugis majestically arise which unfortunately cause him to get drenched in the water from the splash. As he dried himself Toni attempted to answer the Alolan boy’s question. “Well there’s like forty-ish legendaries not counting mythical Pokémon but I’m not sure if all of them even got a partner.”

Manaphy, now just realizing that there was a body of water quickly became excited at the prospect of jumping in. The sea prince got the attention of the ten Meltan, Azurill, and the newly arrived Tyrunt, before pointing excitedly and exclaiming “Swimmy Swimmy!”

Isla and Suicune

Isla watched as Manaphy gleefully patted Azurill on the head, accepting the small, mouse-like Pokemon into its group. As she watched them play, she felt someone bump into her. She looked up to see the red-haired girl from before passing by, her Yveltal remaining near the cave's entrance. Their eyes met for a mere instant before the girl shifted her gaze, continuing on her way. Intrigued, Isla couldn't help but watch as the girl sat down at the back of the cave, pulling 5 PokeBalls out of her bag. Isla watched as she gingerly stroked each ball before releasing the Pokemon inside. As her companions ran off in different directions, Isla couldn't help but notice how lonely the girl seemed. She made a mental note to talk to the girl later.

As Isla pondered her next move, she heard something large emerge from the water, splashing her in the process. After brushing off her clothes, she looked up to see a large, silver pokemon perched in front of her. She watched as it extended its wing to the ground, letting a brown-haired girl slide down from its neck. Isla quickly recognized the Pokemon as Lugia, guardian of the seas. She watched as Lugia craned its neck down to touch noses with Suicune, who looked quite pleased. Isla turned to her companion, a smile on her face. "I suppose you two know each other?" Suicune nodded, turning its attention to its larger friend, who was now focused on Zygarde.

From a short distance away, she heard a red-haired boy ask about the other legendaries. She listened as Toni responded, noting just how many legendary Pokemon there were in total. Now that she thought about it, there weren't many legends at the meeting. Could it be that they hadn't found trainers yet? Or perhaps, Isla thought grimly, they had sided with Necrozma? She shook her head, trying to rid herself of the dark thought. "Considering most of us have had to travel from other regions," She began, "it's highly likely others are still on the way. Given that only some legends have the ability to swim or fly, there's a strong possibility that some can't make it or are having to make detours to get here."

Lucas Reed

Lucas looked down, face turning a deeper shade of red upon hearing her laugh. Following her advice, rather than petting her tail he softly scratched beneath Vixie's chin. A smile appeared on his tomato-like face “an Alolan Vulpix? You're from Alola, then?” he questioned.

Feeling something Bump into him, Lucas looked behind himself. There, he found a Pokémon that wore an egg like a diaper. He lifted the little creature carefully onto his lap and gently patted its head. “Awe, look at this cute little Pokémon, it is so,” the boy looked back at Gale and composed himself once more “so cool”

Juno watched the Snivy circle Vixie curiously. She had seen a Vulpix before, though that one had been more red, but this strange grass Pokémon was unfamiliar to her. The green creature seemed equally curious about Vixie, and Juno wondered if it was because it didn’t know what a Vulpix was or because this one was different from a Kantonian Vulpix.
