Fantasy The Tax Man Cometh!

MrThe

Mystery Man
Roleplay Type(s)
In this Roleplay you guys will be playing as the most despised creatures throughout all time and space, the TAX MAN. More specifically you guys will be the team in charge of trying to tax the Adventurers. Yes, that means you are the people in charge of Wrangling taxes out of Heavily Armed Murder Hobos capable of defeating Dragons. And since you are unlikely to be on nearly the same level as these nigh Godlike Beings, you must make up for it in Trickery, Guile, Legal Arguments, and above all, sheer Stubbornness. This will be largely humorous, fairly casual and focus on the crazy lengths you go to in order to wrangle taxes out of people in addition to any other adventures you have along the way. (despite the casual nature I will still expect you to post fairly regularly)

You may just have me sold, will all the targets speak in sentences similar to a protagonist in a rpg?

Are our characters allowed to have some skill? Be it magic or the ability to fight back if we have numbers? Three tax men against a hero?

Do we need to have them physically hand it over? Meaning we just can't steal the exact amount needed from a target?

The Targets are going to talk in sentences like your typical DnD party, meaning they will be Bickering Murderhobos and based on all the craziest dnd characters I've ever come across. You will be able to have some skill, but it will be well below the skills of a mid level adventurer. And you are allowed to collect the money through any means necessary.

I am GM yes. And the Detailed rules of the tax will vary mission by mission. As this is mostly a lighthearted Campaign/Roleplay and focused more on Hijinks.

So one day they might be avoiding the Dragon Hoard Tax, then the next they have forgotten to file their Income Tax. Etc. etc. etc. Mostly it is explainable by the fact that the Tax Code is vast and complicated, and that as a Simple Tax Man you are not expected to understand everything Completely, only to Collect on the Debts your Employers assign you to collect on.

I understand that this is more of a casual RP that lean more to comedy, but I think a detailed set of tax rules is still important. It will give some options for a more witty humor.

And... Count me in, I'm interested and already have a character in mind. :3:

Indeed, I will certainly not skimp upon the more complex aspects of being a Tax Man, more saying that the Tax Code will be incredibly complex, at times contradictory and an overall mess, not to mention the fun aspect of creating obscure new taxes that the Fat Nobles wrote up to fill their coffers. Think something akin to Terry Pratchett's Discworld regarding insane legal nonsense.

Fantasy - The Tax Man Cometh (Character Sheets) Here are.the Character Sheets, I am bad at formatting, plus I am on Mobile, as well as being quite loose with my Character Sheets requirements, mostly putting down the basics and relying on the players to flesh out the details on their own. (SIDETRACK: I also hate when people have likes and dislikes on there, as it's such a filler requirement that rarely has any bearing on the RP or character, but if you want to throw that in there as an afterthought go for it.)
