[div class=block style="background-color: #d0bebe;"]educationThroughout elementary school, Christopher was the quiet, bookish kid. He broke out of that painfully shy shell when he was shoved into the horrors of high school. He learned to fend for himself against bullies by creating his sarcastic, take-no-shit and work-hard attitude. He's always been a high-grading student, and legitemately enjoys school -- he just hates the people in it. Especially the miriad of hillbillies, jocks, and ignorant populars that rule the school.
Christopher found his true calling and most of his friends through the school newspaper. He was editor-in-chief ever since freshman year, and wouldn't give it up for the world. He's found those outcasts, alternative, gothic, nerdy friends through this medium, and furthermore is why he created the Weirdos Club.
Basically, get him talking about Nasa, true crime, or the printing process, and he's yours.

[div class=block style="background-color: #d0bebe;"]personality[/div] Christopher undoubtedly will come off as a dick. But that's just his outward presentation: years of light, tasteful bullying has created that shield. But, to his friends: he is a sarcastic, comedic, cheeky bastard. He will judge you profusely, as any cocky smart kid will, but everything is very much in good fun. He is incredibly loyal, will never hesitate to help a distressed friend, and will keep secrets with his life. He is a passionate, chaotic good type of go-getter: literally nothing will stop him from getting what he wants. He is neurotic in that sense -- his paranoia can become overwhelming, and through that, he may truly believe some unrealistic things are earth-shattering. He's not the best at showing his own emotions, so sorry in advance if he lashes out or actually ends up saying something hurtful.

He tried his hand at sports, but nothing ever stuck -- he just isn't physically meant for body-checking people. This created a rift between him and his father, who was very much physically active, and kinda dumbwitted. He didn't understand Christopher's fascination with space and aliens. His mom was always supportive, however, to an extent: she did occasionally mix up his scientific research with Dungeons & Dragons "shenanigans".
Christopher began secluding himself in his room more often when his little brother was born. He is fun for picking on, but all too often does Stevie end up crying just to get Christopher in trouble. Plus, there was this one time that Stevie destroyed Chris's complete recreation of the solar system when sneaking into his room, so yeah, immortal grudge right there. Christopher just feels most at himself at school, with the club and his friends, and in the forest. He did end up camping a profuse amount with his dad, so at least there's the love for the Oregon forest. [/div][/div][/div] [/div]

Throughout elementary school, Christopher was the quiet, bookish kid. He broke out of that painfully shy shell when he was shoved into the horrors of high school. He learned to fend for himself against bullies by creating his sarcastic, take-no-shit and work-hard attitude. He's always been a high-grading student, and legitimately enjoys school -- he just hates the people in it. Especially the myriad of hillbillies, jocks, and ignorant populars that rule the school.

Basically, get him talking about Nasa, true crime, or the printing process, and he's yours.
Future It's Christopher's dream to work as a detective for the FBI. The X-Files is his lifeblood, and he will do anything he can to grow up to be Fox Mulder. He often corrects people by saying his name is Detective Loch. He loves to study true crime stories, no matter how much it freaks out his mom. He would 100% wear a cool film-noir detective trenchcoat every day if he could.

Family Anna Daughtry, 38, mother. good relationship, just normal teenage avoidance. thinks she's too clingey.
Winslow Loch, 49, father. kinda hates how he doesn't want christopher to be in sciences, would prefer sports. this has sparked a heated divide between them.
Steven Loch, 6, younger brother. stupid little brother stuff. no, he can't tag along.
History Christopher grew up in a small but cozy house right here in Blackwood Falls. His mom works at a fresh grocer in town, and his dad is a lumber logger just outside of Portland. He had a very quiet, pretty-average childhood. Christmas was great, the forest was their backyard so he explored the traintracks quite extensively, and his room was filled with plenty of books. He just didn't have many friends. One or two here or there, but they ended up melting into the popular kids groups, and left Christopher behind.
