I'm new here, and not really sure how all this works.. But what better way to find out than to jump right in?!
Listed below are several ideas I have floating around in cranial-space that I'd like to flesh out. I'm not really a planner, rather a fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants-er, so I'd need someone that can work with that. Be warned that it's been several months since I've done any real roleplay, so bare with me as I get my feet under me again.
Spontaneity is a plus so long as it is realistic to the story-line. I prefer to write with someone who can give me 2+ paragraphs at a time full of unique descriptive language, but honestly, I lean more toward the 'quality not quantity' rule.
The Written Connection
1x1 roleplay
There are a variety of ways this could play out, in all of them however, I'd like to experiment with a certain form of writing: Written letters to each other with minimal physical interaction. Perhaps with some poetry written specifically for that post to introduce it? :
- Two sisters; twins separated at birth find each other through a series of events and continue their relationship through letters exchanged.
-Sisters separated through some traumatic event; a war, or maybe something else where they are forced apart. Set in some historic time-period.
-Two women (Or perhaps a woman and a man?) stuck in two very different time periods. (If you've ever watched an old movie called "The Letter", think along those lines.) One in the 1800's, the other in modern-day 2000's. The modern woman (or man) purchases an old antique desk and upon bringing it home and exploring its many compartments she/he discovers a letter. The letter speaks of a woman who lives in the 1800's and knows that 'He' is out there (If we're going that route) or 'she' is her kindred spirit. On a hunch the modern-day character writes a letter in return and places it in the compartment that he/she found the original letter in. Flashback to the 1800's, the woman finds the modern-letter and is confounded but decides to write in return just to see what happens. If doing a m/f play, the idea would be that they eventually fall in love, and he goes looking for the house she used to live in. They exchange pictures, and through a 'feeling' of her presence he knows she's there, and she likewise. This continues until the man finds information on her death and upon visiting the house is given a box full of their letters. This spurs a new spin, where after he grieves the loss of her letters and 'presence', he meets a woman (doppleganger?) who looks like our 1800's chick. From there, it could turn into a romance, but I feel like most of the character development would happen in the exchange of letters.
This might not be a feasible roleplay, but I'd like to give it a try. If it fails, it fails.. But if it actually works like I imagine it to, I think it'd be a neat change from the norm.
The Muse
1x1 roleplay
A Med student meets someone in a local coffee shop on her way to the hospital. They don't exchange information for some time, but continue to 'bumpy into' each other there at the coffee shop. Perhaps it's his infatuation, or what-have-you. They develop a friendship, and eventually she needs a ride somewhere. He offers to take her, and they go from there. Mostly a romantic roleplay, but it has the potential to be a Master/sub scenario. Even a kidnap. The sky's the limit!

Think back to Egypt. Or maybe Greece.. or Rome.. Now, think back to when Jews were persecuted; killed off, put in slavery, etc. Perhaps he's a Roman soldier who takes pity on a Jewess, and decides to spare her life? ...Or maybe she's spared (Or even he!) and in turn placed in chains, and sold to the next slaver who takes her to Rome to be sold as a house slave for a prestigious diplomat (you?). She's meek, and comely, and at first, maybe he doesn't really care for her, but with time he begins to notice her... Or maybe he is sold as a gladiator and she spots him in a tournament, and decides she wants him. There's a couple different ways we could take this one as well.

Modern-day Robin Hood! ...perhaps there's a small gang of well-meaning thugs who give back to the 'poor' of the slums, and for one reason or another, our characters meet, fall in love, or just get buddy-buddy. It could go either way-- your character or mine as the 'leader'. Maybe one or the other is found broken, and beat in an alleyway, and by way of nursing him/her back to health we could throw in another twist; he's a cop! ...or she's the daughter of one, but is trying to help without getting caught. -shrugs- Just a couple of ideas. Fighting against the law, and oppression of other gangs, they struggle to stay out of jail and are always watching their backs. This could even be turned into a group thread if we felt like sharing.
