name: kira smirnova
nationality: belarusian-american
age: 17
height: 5"4
about her: kira was born to a belarusian mother and an american father in the capital of belarus, minsk. she lived a perfectly mundane life, attending middle school normally and getting average grades, until her mother suddenly passed away in a car crash along with kira's aunt when she was 13. they were planning on staying in belarus for the entirety of kira's life, but her father chose to move back to the states in hopes of finding a better paying job to support kira and her younger sister, nadia. kira absolutely hated being the new girl mainly because of the language barrier. she could speak english fluently because her father's belarusian was quite broken so the two would usually speak english, yet it was clear she was not fully american. despite her near-perfect english, she had a hint of an eastern-european accent. though she was not talkative, this did not imply she was shy.
kira moved to the states just in time for her first year of highschool. everyone seemed to already have their friend groups settled since her father's town of origin was quite small and therefore not many people moved in and out. a pair of best friends name elyse and livia quickly befriended kira, and the three have stuck together ever since. kira has absolutely no reputation; she's always on the sidelines, and no one really knows much about her. people frequently refer to kira as the 'russian' in their grade, even though she's actually belarusian, but that's all she's ever heard people say about her. this doesn't bother her since she hates being the centre of attention either way. though she's quiet somewhat introverted, kira is still quite sweet and fun to be around, as long as it's the right people she feels comfortable around. she is what you would consider 'chill'; it takes a lot to piss her off, though at the same time that means people occasionally take advantage of that. her favourite subject is history and her least favourite is english because it occasionally means she has to read out loud in front of the class or present which she absolutely hates.
