Name: Ezra

Age: 17

Gender: female

Ezra lost her parents to sickness at a young age. Ever since, she has been on her own. She doesn't easily trust. On the surface she comes across hard, mostly because she has had to be, although deep down she wishes someone would help share the burden with her.

She didn't start out thieving. She tried looking for honest work, but even the unskilled male was more likely to get the apprenticeship more than she was. She wasn't about to start begging for scraps, so the only logical choice was to take the things she needed. She quickly found that she was quiet good at it too. Not to say there weren't some close calls.

Name: Jon Claymore

Age: Twenty One

Occupation: Protector of the Princess

Bio: He hates letting the princess out of his sight. He experiences hysteria during and after battle mostly. Jon is skilled with a sword and hand-to-hand combat. As his father taught him from a young age, being a knight himself. Jon followed in his father footsteps however became loyal to the princess rather than the queen meaning when she left he went with her.

Arya lay asleep in her little wooden shelter. She wore a white sleeping gown under the blankets to keep her warm. Being out here for awhile now she was used to the colder temperatures and noisy atmosphere while she tried to sleep. It was still dark and the sun would raise soon. However she would not wake until Jon woke her. The knight at this minute was awake but only partly. He had heard a noise and was a light sleeper. This was good as it meant he would wake to any trouble. Listening no more noise followed and he drifted back to sleep rather quickly.

Ezra crouched low to the ground watching the sleeping couple. They were definitely from the higher class and looked to make easy pickings. They were almost drenched in riches that could be bartered for the things she needed. She brushed some dirt off her trouser covered knee. She hadn't worn a dress for a few years now. She found it much easier to get around without worrying about her skirts getting caught on a branch or grabbed from behind.

Looking over the supplies they left laying out while they slept, she slowly made her way over. She opened up one of the bags and quickly went through the contents before looking back up to make sure the sleepers were still asleep. She dumped out the contents only leaving the few things she wanted to keep before moving on to another bag.

Arya slept peacefully no amount of noise woke her easily. However Jon woke to the sound of the stuff hitting the floor. The knight reached for his sword before waiting for her to be looking through the second bag so she would be distracted, wearing the under clothes to his armour he made no sound as he sneaked behind her. Lightly the man placed his sword to the back of her neck.

"May I ask what you it is you are doing and who you are stealing from?" His voice was strong and commanding as he watched the girl below him.

Ezra froze feeling the cold blade against the back of her neck. Her eyes instantly turned to find the sleeping man gone, well she was pretty sure she knew where he had gone to. She closed her eyes cursing silently to herself gripping the satchel with both hands. She opened her eyes realizing his mistake. If he had placed the sword around her neck, it would be much harder to get away, but he hadn't. Her head quickly hit the ground as she summer salted away. Gracefully getting straight to her feet. Her hazel eyes stared at the knight, a flicker of fear flashed by before she turned dashing off into the woods behind her.

The knight also realised his mistake but wasn't quick enough to correct it. That is what he got for being tired when trying to get someone. However the knight went straight after her, his strides bigger than hers, the strength of his muscular leg also giving him great speed. After he was awake more the speed he had increased and it wasn't long for the man to catch up to her and grab her arm pulling her too a stop. His arm held her tight and his sword this time meat the front of her neck as he stood fast behind her.

"I ask you the same question, girl." This time there was more anger in his voice.

Ezra squeaked in surprise feeling his hand grip her arm. Her chin lifted instinctively as her chest rose and fell with deep breaths. "That's a double edged question isn't it?" She finally managed to spit out through gritted teeth, trying desperately to pull her arm free. "If I say I stole from you- you'll take it as a confession. If I say I didn't- you'll call me liar." Her heart raced quickly in her chest as she struggled to find a way out of her current situation.

"Do you want to be a liar or a thief then?" He looked down at the girl in his grip. He had no authority to kill her neither did the princess really but he would leave it up to her to decide when he brought the girl back to came. His brown hair was hard and his messy dirty blonde mop fell slightly over his eyes as he waited for an answer.

Ezra took a pause to contemplate her options. "A thief" she finally let out through gritted teeth. Using her free hand, she tried to push his arm away from her neck, but her left wasn't nearly as strong as her right. It was obviously a loosing battle, but she couldn't bare the cold blade against her skin.

"Then I need a confession and I can remove my blade from your throat." His arm didn't budge, even with her right arm she wouldn't really have had enough force. As he was bigger than her and secondly a lot of time in his training was spent building muscle mass. His eyes still locked with hers as he watched her. He found himself wondering why she would be in the wood. plently of people would be dying in this war for her to loot from.

Ezra closed her eyes taking in a shaky breath. "I tried to steal from you. You saw it with your bloody eyes. Alright." she stammered quickly. She opened her eyes wanting to glare into his defiantly, but she couldn't muster the bravery she had only moments before. She looked into his eyes searching almost begging to find empathy.

Jon's brown eye softened and he moved his hard but still kept hold of her arm. "Come one we are going back tot he camp then. I need to wake my lady up."

Ezra relaxed her chin feeling the blade come loose. She let out a breath she didn't remember holding in. It took a moment too long to realize he had said something. She nodded taking in the words unable to find her voice. She had assumed the two were a couple, but wasn't sure if one called their lover 'my lady' or not.

He didn't ket her arm go as he started walking as he didn't want to have to chase her again. Arya had woken do to some birds singing and was wondering round the little camp trying to spot him. When she saw the two coming back she went up to them. "Who is this?" The princess asked looking Arya over then to Jon. He let Ezra's arm go. "A thief. i brought her back for you to her what she had to say."

Ezra felt his grip give on her arm. She didn't give him time to rethink his decision. Instantly, she took off running again letting him finish his sentence without her present. She pushed off the ground as hard as she could with each footstep urging herself to run faster. It took some discipline to not look over her shoulder every few seconds to see if she was being followed.

He growled softly and went after her again. This time being fully awake he found it easy to catch her again. This time he grabbed her arm and pulled her into him. His sword grazed her skin, drawing blood from her neck. "Run again when I let you go and you will bleed more."

Ezra cried out in pain as the sword cut her skin. She instinctively placed her hand over the wound, her hand trembling as she did so. All hope of escape suddenly dissipated. "You only stand so tall because you ain't known what it's like to starve. What's so important about your fancy things anyways? The likes of you can afford to go out and buy ten more."

"I stand tall because I am not doing wrong. I know starving, maybe not as bad as you have but I do." He moved his blade away and turned her to face him. "However if you stole from my lady while she was in her home the king would behead you for taking from his daughter." He frowned and took the bag from her. "Hunger would bother you no more. However we are out here and we can not afford to replace what you take." He wiped her blood on his blade off on his thigh. "Will you run again?"

Ezra licked her lip trying to force saliva into her dry mouth. "No, you stand tall because you think you is better than me. You ain't known starving. If you knew starving- you wouldn't be so quick to judge. If I ain't got food to eat- I die. The only way I can get it- is by thieving it. To live- I risk death everyday. I know what's at stake. You ain't got to tell me getting caught is a death sentence. But its a death sentence either way. Death by starving or death by thieving. Thieving has kept me alive longer. So, that's the one I choose."

"it is slower and more painful. anyway. I will let you think as you please." He had noticed her thirst. "We have a river near camp. I will take you there for a drink if you wish before I take you back once more." His sword caught some of the morning light through the trees.

Ezra nodded her head brushing her hair behind her ear with her free hand. She decided to save her breath realizing she wasn't going to be able to reason with him. "For what purpose are you taking me back to your wench?"

He slowly let her go. "She is your superior you would do well to remember that." His eyes showed an anger that he fought back. "I am her protector I act on her word. I can not kill you or do anything else unless she gives me the word too." He glared slightly. "It is a part of my honour. If you understand that word." H point in the direction she needed to start walking in to get to the lake.

Ezra followed behind the knight, shuffling her feet. "So, what you're saying is that you're her servant." Her eyes scanned her surroundings watching the lake come into view. She folded her arms across her stomach protectively fighting the urge to run.

The knight moved so the captive girl was in front of him. He wanted to keep an eye on her easily. "If that is what she wishes." He nodded and looked at the clear dark blue water of the river. Some light blue glistening patches sparkled where the sun had gotten through the trees. He walked her up to the lack and knelt down himself to drink. He was a bit worried about the princess being alone. He hated doing that. When finished drinking he sat and watched Ezra carefully.

Arya had taken her clothes for the day down to the lake, a part opposite to the camp and down streak of them, far enough to be hidden by trees. She was washing as she waited, in the water she felt safer, not that she knew why. After she finished she dried and got dressed. She wore a purple light cotton outfit. It looked like a long flowing dress whoever where the skirt would come out from the bodice flowing trouser. She sat in her wooden cover waiting for the two to return her little plain dagger in her hands.

Ezra knelt by the side of the lake. She pulled her hair back from her face before cupping the water with both hands and sipping at the small amount of contents she was able to bring to her face. Licking her chapped lip, she turned her head looking at the heavy sword attached to the knights waist. She narrowed her eyes trying to see to the other side of the lake. She was sure she could make it to the other side faster if he was weighed down. If he had his armor on, she could probably make it. She wasn't sure if she should take the chance of him thinking to remove the sword before diving in after her. She wiped her mouth on her sleeve deciding not to risk it and stood back up on her feet.

He rested his hand on the hilt of his sword watching her calculating something. The knight got to his feet after giving her enough time to drink all the water she wanted. His hand slipped from the hilt to his side. "Are you done? I need to get breakfast since we will have three instead of two to feed." He looked down her waiting for a response or for her to get up.
