I'm working on a character. Not sure what I will end up with, but that's part of the fun.

Does your character have a job? Are they an employee of the government? The Military? Do they work for the Director A.I. on Orbital Station: Gateway? Are they a member of a criminal gang or organization? Are they an ex-member of any of the above?

Ah right, thanks. My character's going to be a vigilante/anti-union enforcer, so I think I'll put her in the criminal category ;D

Anti-union or Anti-Union? There's a difference there and only one of them will result in a midnight visit from a certain cyborg resulting in a long swim in a sealed waste oil vat...

Ok so do people make up whatever organization they're affiliated with? Or are their existing ones?
 
There are several established organisations, such as the UEF (the United Earth Federation, the setting's world government), the military (army, navy, air force and space fleet) and Orbital Station: Gateway (which is considered a separate entity, allied to the UEF but not subject to it). Of course, there are other governments, provisional ones like the Revolutionary Council of Ganymede and the separatist Confederation of Martian States. Less officially, there are criminal organizations, like the Mafia (the Sicilian, the Italian and the US families), the Yakuza, the Triads, and any number of smaller organized criminal gangs. Alternately, there are corporations and businesses. You have a degree of freedom in regards your affiliations, you can create any organization, government or criminal fraternity you wish, but you may be asked to alter this by DWiz or myself to suit the setting better and, of course, we'll have control of your creation, since it will be comprised of NPCs.

Since I've been stalking this for like a day now I actually have a character that's a little rough but nearly done that I might submit a little later if that's cool? <3
