Realistic or Modern The source- Mission Suggestions

Hello everyone. Ive got an interesting concept here. We will be discussing and coming up with missions together as a group. That way we can let everyones creativity shine. Now some missions are already planned, bosses and such that do big world changing things. But that doesn’t mean the other missions need be irrelevant.

Cults trying to summon demon gods, Rouge military powers getting their hands on some dangerous goods, strange missing persons cases. It may seem at first glance that we are a superhero team, but nay i say, we are first and foremost a paranormal activity agency. So what do you think would he a good mission for your characters to go on?​

Honestly a little bit of both. Most of the stuff occurs on earth. But occasionally it may become needed to climb into a space ship to prevent things from arriving on earth, or go through a magical portal to try and close it before the hordes of creatures pour through. Im even strongly contemplating incorporating a city either inside a massive chamber underneath the earths crust, or A similar city inside of the Moon.

The Cult of Valthoom

This mission suggestion takes us to a Remote Hiking trail in the northern rocky mountains. Where a kids summer camp was being built. Several workers, and Skilled hikers have gone missing in the area and now all the sudden a thunderstorm has covered the surrounding area and locals/Witnesses claim to see the shadows of some kinda dog in the clouds when the lightning strikes light up the sky.

Our team must investigate the disappearances, Find out what this thunder wolf is (Valthoom) and then find a way to make it not a threat, contain, or destroy it. (The cult that spawned it maintains a ritual circle that the destruction of will unsummon the wolf.)​

The City of Maka’Tahari

Earthquakes along the Himalayan mountain range causes a section of the mountains to collapse revealing a strange ancient city. Archeologists are let in to study the city, yet reports are strange. Firstly the city Dates back to nearly 208,000 years old, and Artwork on the walls clearly depict what appears to be humans. Secondly the city itself seems to be hewn from the mountain in a single solid block, with sections seeming to have been liquified and molded into shape. Tools and trinkets of unknown form and function still fill the city, but homes seem to have their doors locked and The city itself seems oddly fortified.

The Real strangeness begins however when the Archeologists find what they consider to be a spiritually relevant site. The same time they find it an odd anomaly fills the entire newly discovered canyon. Like an aurora borealis the skies shimmer and shift. Researchers and workers suddenly begin to be filled with violent intent and attack one another, those afflicted seemingly ignore other afflicted but violently lash out at any who are not. Those who were afflicted now live in the city and have begun constructing odd stone circles and crude tools of Stone and wood which they are using to continue excavating the site. Any being that crosses into the canyon is either afflicted or attacked by the afflicted, oddly, the affliction seems to leave a person the moment they leave the canyon, along with any memories of things that occurred during their affliction.

Our heroes must go to this site, extract the afflicted and get them across the canyon de-affliction line.

In addition they are asked to find the source of the affliction and either destroy it, or secure it for pickup by site X-Grey.
