"There are three Realms in Earth: The Mortal Realm, the Void, and Evalon. Within each Realm, Doorways in-between each lie in secrecy. When they are opened... Nightmares hunt for Victims..."

68681-bigthumbnail.jpg

(Earth, May of 2021)
From the deepest, darkest corners of Earth, monsters stalk within the night, ranging from Werewolves to Vampires, Specters to Demons, and several other dangerous entities yet to be discovered... but not all monsters are evil, though.

Spirits of Light, better known as Evalonians, have protected Earth's inhabitants for countless generations, and managed to keep the darkness at bay. With the help of a Top-Secret Society that aid the Evalonians by developing weapons, tools, and trinkets to aid in protection from the Darkness, the evils remain, for the most part, well-hidden, with only a few appearances here and there. Sasquatch Sightings, for example, turned out to be true, and were oftentimes a good lead for the Society Members to Hunt them and turn the Public Opinions against it by "Disproving" them... for obvious reasons, of course.

These mysterious Hunters are our protectors...

... these "Protectors" are referred to as "Slayers"... and most of these Slayers are Evalonians disguised as Humans... only a select few of them are actually Humans, though... and even fewer know of their partners' True Forms... for obvious reasons.

You happen to be one of the newest Slayers... and whether Human or Evalonian, it is up to you to pick your partner carefully... because you never know who, or even what, your partner may be on the inside...

"So tell us, exactly... what's your Story? Why do you want to become a Slayer?" comes the question of the Receptionist.

"Remember, nobody's perfect. I expect you to be completely honest with us." a wise voice would echo in your mind, in a tone that even the bravest of souls would dare not wish to disappoint.

Name
(Humans have First and Last Names. Evalonians just have 1 Name.)

Age
(16 Minimum. 65 Maximum for Humans.)

Gender
( or )

Race
(Human or Evalonian)

True Form
(Evalonians only! You can choose any animal, Real or Mythic, to be your "True Form". From Fox to Bird, Cat to Dog, Fish to Pony, Unicorn to Pegasus, and all that... and no, the ponies can't have "Cutie Marks"... this isn't a Crossover, nor is this "Equestria"... and before certain rumors start to spread, please note: I have a Hyperactive Niece that watches that show religiously... that, and Memes are a thing, y'know. No hate towards the Bronies, of course, but your "Princess Twilight" is in another Castle. You can still be a "Pony" or a "Horse"... just not an Equestrian one here... that would be a little unfitting, and clash with Evalon's lore. :lennymeh:)

(Humans can either skip this, or write "Human" again.)

Appearance
(A pic is preferred, whether by "Drawing" or "Online Character Generator". Otherwise, thorough details in words can be accepted.)
(For Evalonians, 2 Pics or details will be needed: One for their "True Forms" (Animal Form) and One for their "Disguised Forms" (Kemonomimi (Animalistic Human) or Kemono (Furry)).)
(You can even use Reference Pics, and word out the key differences below it, if you'd like!)

Skills
(2 Major Skills, 3 Minor Skills!)
(Major Skills are Combat Skills like "Weapon Proficiencies" and "Combat Advantages", while Minor Skills are Non-Combat Perks like "Handy with Tools" or "Good with Non-Combat Items".)
(IE: "Heavy Hitter" and "Quick Reflexes", followed by "Great with Computers", "Fast Learner", and "Lucky".

Flaws
(1 Flaw for each Skill. Can't contradict each-other!)
(IE: You can't be Good with Tools, and Bad with Tools!)
(Major Skills will need a Major Flaw in Combat, while Minor Skills will need a Minor Flaw.)
(IE: "Bad Long-Distance Aim" and "Prone to Staggering", followed by "Horrible at Cooking", "Slow Reader", and "Socially Awkward".)

Personality
(How would your character respond to others? What would someone most likely say about the way you act?)

Preferred Weapons
(Humans can have Modern Weapons, but no Spirit Weapons. Evalonians can have Spirit Weapons, but no Modern Weapons.)

Biography/Backstory
(A simple short story about your character, and what lead them to seeking out how to become a "Slayer". Can't have already been one, unless your character's an "Offspring" of one... and even then, you'll have to start off as a "Rookie", and work your way up the ranks In-Character.)

Partner
(If you're with another player, you'll need to include their character's name and @ Tag of their username. They will have to agree with the Partnership, too, and do the same with you!)
(If you're with another one of your characters, that other character will have to have an App of their own!)
(If you're Solo, just write "Solo".)
(If you're looking for a Partner, write "Seeking Partnership", and edit it to the user you've decided with partnering with. You'll be assumed as "Solo" at the start, and can then meet your Partner IC'ly later on. Please remember to update this when you've signed a Binder's Contract In-Character!)

Binder's Blessing
(Humans Only. You get 1 Paranormal Power when you sign a Binder's Contract with an Evalonian. It'll require a Name, and a Description. No Godly Moves, however! Everything must have a Risk to it! There are two sides to a coin, after all!)
(IE: "Astral Projection" - You can Eject your Spirit from your body at will. Doing so will grant you Inhuman Strength against Spirits, but leaves your body exposed for damage!)

(If Solo, write "Solo"!)

(Evalonians bound by the "Binder's Contract" will gain a tremendous boost in power, making them stronger than the average Evalonian. Despite this, however, there are still several threats that would require a Human's assistance, such as "Physically weakening the opponents" enough for the Evalonian to detect the opponent's "Life Orb", which they are assigned to strike down in order to "Banish" the target to the Void.)

Binder's Curse
(Humans Only. You get 1 Curse when you sign a Binder's Contract with an Evalonian. It'll require a Name, and a Description. "Nox Eternus" is a Forbidden Curse, however, as it only affects one person!)
(IE: Nox Eternus - "Eternal Death". Your Body and Spirit are bound to the Living Realm. You will endure great suffering for Eternity, by physically dying multiple times, and "Awakening" in the nearest Shrine of Gaia, or in a random location in the world. Your body will cease to age at a certain point, yet you will observe while those around you grow old, wither, and die. Should the rapture occur, then you will walk alone in the darkness, watching those around you disappear, before life, itself, is made anew... and even beyond then, shall you endure the losses, still.)

(If Solo, write "Solo"!)

(Evalonians bound by the "Binder's Contract" will be sent to the Void when their Partner dies. By Laws of Nature, this basically means that they "Mortalize" themselves by tying their Spirits in with their Partner's, and won't be sent back to Evalon after their Partner suffers a "Fatal Wound". They, however, are still unable to die by any other means, and will instead be "Warped" back to Evalon if they suffer a "Fatal Wound", where they will have to wait about a day before they can return, so as to recover their energy.)

(Despite being Spirit Creatures, Evalonians can feel and acknowledge pain. As such, they tend to avoid Death, for it is the greatest pain to them above all!)

Approved/Notable Characters

f0fJasonPic.png

"Jason Walker" - Human - "Bound by Contract (Sukia : Myself)" - Active

Binder's Blessing: "Astral Projection" - Able to Eject his spirit from his body at will, increasing his power against Spirits and Demons.
Binder's Curse: "Nox Eternus" - Cursed to "Awaken" in a Shrine whenever he dies, rather than the Void.

One of the Key Protagonists of the series. He's the son of one of the Highest-Ranking Slayers, John Walker, who was ranked #1 on the Ranking List, and held that position for most of his life, until the very end.

Trained at an early age by his father, Jason was able to endure harsh punishment, and was quick to climb the ranks. He is now at the "A" Rank, just one Rank below the "S" Class.

After his father's death, he began traveling the world, taking on Quest after Quest as a "Solo" Slayer, while hoping to eventually find, and Banish, the creature that took his father away. He is Partnered with Sukia, the daughter of his father's partner, though she doesn't appear to have received any training prior to her becoming a Slayer, and as such, may need him to protect her a lot more than most other Evalonian Slayers would need... and train her, while he's at it.

SukiaPic.png

"Sukia" - Evalonian (Kitsune/Kemono) - "Bound by Contract (Jason Walker : Myself)" - Unregistered

A Key Protagonist, and the only daughter of Alvo, who was better known as the "Legendary Silver Fox". Prior to his death, she was never trained in becoming a Slayer, despite her always wanting to become one, due to the stories her father always told her when he was off-duty.

She was rescued by Jason Walker, who took her in, mistaking her for the one who was supposed to be his "Partner". Although he later discovered that she wasn't his "Assigned Partner", he didn't really seem to mind, as he wasn't really interested in a partner to begin with, hinting that he was "Forced" to take one.

Although she oftentimes gets frustrated with him "Judging" her mistakes quite poorly, she feels the need to "Prove" her worth to him, and improves as a Slayer with each lesson taught... which he would acknowledge and compliment as a result for her success.

However, despite his "Harsh" Judgements, he would occasionally comfort her when she's pushed beyond her limits, hinting that he's only "Doing what's necessary" for her to survive as a Slayer... something that she acknowledges, and eventually grows to respect.

Eventually, she begins to develop a crush on her Partner, but fears how he would react to it, given the Human Bias towards Animals. Whenever asked, however, he says that he views her as an "Evalonian", and "Not some mindless beast"... a hint that they may have a chance at some point.

Elemental Proficiency: Fire and Wind
Elemental Weakness: Water and Stone

AlvoFoxPic.png

"Alvo" - Evalonian (Silver Fox) - "Bound by Contract (John Walker - Myself) - Deceased

One of the most well-known Slayers to date. Having mastered Wind Magic, the hardest of the Elements to truly Master, he was ranked as "#1" in the Slayers' Guild, Evalonian Branch. He was Partnered with John Walker, the "#1" Slayer on the Human Branch, and formed a Binder's Contract with him, making the duo a seemingly "Unstoppable" team.

After their last Quest, however, they never made it back. When his Journal was returned to the Guild, he was later declared "Deceased", as well as his Partner, whose Son would later take his place, though as a "Solo" Slayer for the duration of 12 years.

As if by the Hands of Fate, his Daughter would eventually become a Slayer, and be Partnered with his own Partner's son.

Elemental Proficiency: Wind
Elemental Weaknesses: Stone

JohnPic.png

"John Walker" - Human - "Bound by Contract (Alvo - Myself) - Deceased

One of the Highest-Ranking Human Slayers to exist, John Walker was a Legend among Men. Having been ranked "#1" in the Slayers' Guild, Human Branch, he has survived countless S-Rank Horrors that would have, otherwise, killed off countless lives, and potentially cause the "Apocalypse". Partnered with the #1 Evalonian Slayer, Alvo, the two have saved the world more than just a few times.

Having the "Blessing of Wisdom", he was able to train his son, Jason, the ways of the Slayer, so that one day, he too may help protect the worlds from the Voidlings... although, his Curse, "Faltered Love", made him despised by his own Family.

Jason, however, understood his unusual feelings, having been informed of the Side-Effects of Curses, and was able to look past his conflicted feelings for his Father. Though he never told him that he loved him, his father at least knew that he wanted to, and merely settled for his "Respect".

On the day of his death, his son was devastated, due to the Curse having been broken with the Binder's Contract. However, the training he had would make the young Slayer overcome his emotional breakdown fairly quickly.

Jason, John's Son, would take his place as a Slayer, though going through as a "Solo" for 12 years, before a chance encounter with John's Partner's only daughter, Sukia, leads to him form a Binder's Contract with her.

Although not known to the public, nor the Slayer's Guild, John and Alvo are both inside the Void, still working together Out-of-Contract to keep as many threats from Crossing Over as they could, teamed with several other Fallen Slayers. Sometimes, however, they may help guide Slayers with "Unfinished Business" to return to the Realm of the Living... but such actions usually come at a great cost.

Binder's Blessing: "Blessing of Wisdom" - Capable of knowing the answer to just about anything, John used his Blessing to teach his Son as much as he could.
Binder's Curse: "Faltered Love" - His own family would hate him forever, until the day that he died. Having already informed his son, Jason, about the powers of Curses, however, he was still able to at least keep his son's Respect, even if his emotions were conflicted.

Basically that only the stripes are red like the ones on the true form and the ears are wolf-like and the upper canines are just a bit bigger (you can see the tips touching the lower lip

Skills
2 major: Quick Reflexes, dual dagger proficiencies
3 minor: fast learner, survival skills and good at handling animals

Flaws
2 major: Low stamina and strength
3 minor: Socially Awkward, claustrophobic, problems with authority figures

Personality
Helera is very proud and stubborn, she always found it difficult to talk with others or assuming any kind of position that would appear "weak" or "vulnerable" to them. She's determined to go out there and fight and make her own destiny. Although she's very socially awkward she has a sharp tongue, being sarcastic almost all the time.

Preferred Weapons
Dual daggers with red runes that glow during the fights

Biography/Backstory

Helera is the eldest child of Nostrus and Dyla. With both parents being slayers Helera always knew that's what she wanted, even though (ironically) none of them supported her decision, telling her that she was too reckless and couldn't follow rules. So she starting training in secret, having access to some information using her parents status. Having to do it in secret, Helera started by stealing two knives from the kitchen and running to the woods to get some privacy. And the years of training did bring her some edge in the official slayer training, revelling her quick reflexes but what she had in velocity she lost in strength and stamina, not being able to keep a fight for long. But that suited her fight style all too well for her to worry about it.

Being chosen as a slayer trainee Helera cut all ties with her parents and most of her siblings. And that decision was more painful than she would ever admit. During her first mission she got the scar running from her right eyebrow to her cheekbone, a stark reminder that she was still too green and the path in front of her was still only beginning.

So I would like to start with Helera as a Rookie if that's okay?

I hope everything is in order can't wait to join in. If I need to make any changes let me know!

Archemis Archemis
The Receptionist looks at the paperwork carefully, before a grin forms on his face. Looking up from it, he could tell she looked familiar, having seen her parents before... but he decides not to bring them up, having taken a similar path, himself.

"So, a stray from the pack, huh? Not that uncommon for the Wolfkin to go 'Lone Wolf'... but remember, even though you're an Evalonian, that doesn't make you invincible... remember that when you approach one of the Higher-Up Threats.

"You've had a bit of a 'Rough Start' from your Trainee Stages, but it looks like you might've learned the basics... at least, enough to handle the real world without filling your armor with piss and blood.

"That being said, I suppose you'd like your results from this report... well, here."

He takes a green stamp, and presses it onto the paper.

green-approved-hi.png

"Now that you've gotten your rank up from the Slayers' Guild, I suppose you're beaming with joy... well, kid, I'd hate to burst your bubble, but that scar of yours was nothing more than a Training Accident. When you get into the Big Leagues, you'll be getting more than just those scars. As an Evalonian, you can't take much punishment, and your lack of Strength and Stamina will only make that much worse. So if a Human offers you to help, you damn-well better accept their offer.

"We have enough hotbloods getting themselves killed out there by not following that simple rule. We ain't about Glory... we're about protecting our Homes, and our Comrades.

"Now, then... your first mission will be in an old, abandoned Hotel over in Maine. There were reports of a Low-Rank Revenant sighting in there. It was already injured from another Hunter, so it should be simple enough, as long as you remember to avoid its blades, and keep your senses about you. You might think you can take it with speed alone, but your Stamina might say otherwise, and these bastards can leap pretty far, and run quite fast... plus, they work with Void Magic, so you can't expect distancing yourself to make much of a difference, since they can levitate things, and toss them your way.

"Because of its dangerous nature, and this being your first mission as a Rookie, we'll send a Middle-Rank Human Slayer out there to work with you... a Temporary Partner, but one who's aware of our presence. That way, you don't have to worry too much about concealing yourself, and use your True Form to sense it easier.

"That being said, try to balance your True Form and your Disguised Form well, since even though you're quick to tire, and not very strong, your True Form is still a bit more powerful than your Disguised one. Keep your wits about you, do the job, report back to Lord Graegeth, and you will be rewarded for how well you do... that is all."

That being said, he waves her off. "Dismissed!"

The Slayer you'll work with can be considered a "Generic NPC", and as such, won't require a lot of detail... those NPCs you can just use temporarily, and their fates are pretty much yours to decide with!

That being said, you're free to post whenever you want! Remember, though, NPCs aren't meant to be permanent. This doesn't mean "Kill them all off"... it just means "Once they are done being used, they go back about their own business Lore-Wise." ;)

Oh, and speaking of Lore, "Elite NPCs" are nonexistent. "Elite Slayers" are a Player-Only Rank, with the only exceptions being a few that I would create. ;)

Finally... Welcome to the Slayers' Guild! ^_^
