→ about the roleplay

The captain of the Silent Maiden needs more crewmembers. This is mainly because the adventures they go on are dangerous and cannot be taken lightly. Men died because of this yet the captain never stopped searching for the ultimate treasure. The one that could name him the emperor of pirates. However since it is hidden into the deepest corners of the earth, it was nearly impossible to find. Impossible was something that wasn’t in the captain’s wordbook.

This story will go about the adventures of the Silent Maiden’s crew. You will explore the world while encountering enemies and even creatures of the depth that no man would be willing to even go to. Keep your eyes open is the key of survival. Enemies shall be given a rank [yellow is weak, orange is normal, red is dangerous, black is really dangerous and purple is better to be avoided fighting so run or get out of there as fast as you can].

If you are one for adventure and action, this might be the place for you.

The Silent Maiden

It was said that the Silent Maiden once ruled over the seas by a fearful captain. Plundering the ships and lands wherever it went together with its crew. Treasures were stored at the bottom of the ship and hidden on secret islands for nobody to find besides the captain himself. Eventually they set sails to the open seas and explore the more dangerous parts of the world which were hiding the treasures of the earth. They first tried to find the fountain of youth so the crew could wander the earth for eternity and explore everything that could be explored. Little did they know of how dangerous it would be. The fountain being guarded by creatures one had never came across were there, waiting for intruders to arrive. The captain sacrificed every single one of his men just so he could survive by himself. A despicably act for a man of his status. Even for a pirate. The captain eventually drank of the fountain and his body started to become younger again, reverting back to when he was in his twenties. The sea goddess, Laguna, was awaiting for him to come out of the cave and onto his ship before revealing herself to him. Dooming him to wander the seas for an eternity but to only guide the lost souls on seas to their respectful place. The notorious captain who was called Davy Jones was no more.

The Present

The ship had a new owner despite the rumours of it being haunted which were less than true as only the captain was banned to the depths of the sea. The captain needed a new crew so set sail for the most popular port of pirates: Crimson Bay.

Paddy O'Brien
Quartermaster
"Wah!!?"
The covers to the rowboats flung open, as the hands of a flustered sailor was flailing about the place. It took a moment for things to settle down, as said sailor got his bearings.
"Oh...rioght...hehe...what a night." His name was Paddy O'Brein, and he was the current quartermaster of this sorry vessel. Now normally Paddy was up on his game when it came to alchol, rum especially, but given that he must of chugged maybe...one...two...three barrels last night? He was a bit out of it this morning. Paddy began reaching for the side of the rowboat, intending to get out. It took the quartermaster some effort, but eventually he was able to lift himself onto the side of the rowboat, and heaved!
"Oompf"
A thump was heard from the main deck, as the quartermaster was now sprawled out over the deck, as what remaining crew members stepped over him. Paddy probably could of fallen asleep on the deck like that, but a sudden pressure from his stomach forced him up quickly, as he scrambled to the side of the ship, and...
"BLEH!"
It took another couple of moments for Paddy to empty himself, the sound of the process was quite audible to most on the deck. But afterwards, Paddy was feeling much better, as he wiped off the remains from his mouth.
"Well...dat's the last time I be takin' a bet like that..." Paddy mumbled to himself, as he turned around and leaned against the side of the ship. "...best be findin' da cap'n."
Paddy once again pushed himself away from the surface he was leaning on, taking a few shaky steps as he reclaimed his bearings. A few moments later, the quatermaster was walking almost unhindered, as he made his way towards the captain's quarters.
"Oi cap'n, you awake?" Paddy practically yelled, as he gave a hard knock on the captain's door.

With a swift step forward, he lunged downwards off of the crow's nest; his hands traveling down the shrouds as his body came closer and closer to the deck. Within a second his boots has landed on the wooden flooring, his eyes darting around the ship for a thing to fix; a job to do; a crew to help. With a smile on his face he began walking towards the only very familiar face he saw. The drunkard, a nice man but he can be rather abrasive at times, but Kaus still liked him all the same. With a questioning look Kaus inspected what he was doing. Of course he was going to the captain as soon as he woke.

Walking over with the same preppy expression he rose an eyebrow at him. "What do you need this time? Perhaps more booze again?" Kaus had seen the man on the ground earlier, and had thought seriously about helping him up; but it was far too late when a crew member stepped on his ribcage. He didn't think this man could still function like any other human being but-- He was still allowed on the ship and that was enough requirement for Kaus to care for him. He supposed that was the price he had to pay with a woman running a ship, a half-assed crew that would get them killed. Despite never having anything against women; he could never imagine his mother or sister having anything to do with piracy.

Zieng-Huo
Location: The Silent Maiden
With: Paddy
Mentions: Elekta Kount Elekta Kount

Captain Wong Zieng-Huo let herself revel in the freedom she now felt at sea.

It was a feeling she sought to capture at least once a day since she had finally procured a ship with a name as infamous as the Silent Maiden. It had started with capturing one ship that was just too pretty to sink after they had relieved it of its wares, and with its crew mightily sick of not getting a decent share of pay, it hadn’t taken much to make them swear to her command.

She was a captain again. And when the odd dark thought floated across her head – what her brother might be up to these days, were her parents okay, memories of ten long years in the jungle with only the odd sniff of the sea – it was easy to beat back just by standing up at the helm and gazing out over the splendid deck to the horizon beyond.

She jerked her chin up and breathed in, filling her chest with the salt-scented air. The cabin window stood open, and she could smell the sea. The captain kept a tidy cabin in the stern, where everything gave the impression of being in its proper place, right down to the coats and hats hanging from pegs on the back of the door. The cabin stretched the width of the ship, with a broad bed built against one wall and a heavy table built into the other. Organized piles of papers and maps covered almost every inch of it with log books resting on top of the mess. She sat down and ran her fingers over the compass rose embossed on the cover of her journal and tried not to let the melancholy that rested on the fringes of her thoughts consume her. She had a ship to sail, spoils to plunder, and a crew to satisfy.

There was a knock at the door, one she was familiar with, and Zieng-Huo called out for Paddy to come in.

"Oi cap'n, you awake?" he shouted, at which point the captain resigned herself to opening the door herself, only to be greeted not by one, but two boys.

"Should I start on the hangover remedy?" she said, grimacing at the stench of rum on her quartermaster. She could see the men at work behind him, all shouts and sea shanties. None could say that the Maiden's crew weren't a joyful bunch. Still, they dashed about, checking the rigging or peering over the side to inspect the hull, shouting about the wind's direction. "I thought I told you to go easy on the rum," she said, quirking an eyebrow. "I didn't want you hungover when we reach Crimson Bay."

The faintest hint of a cheeky smile formed on her lips. Whatever Paddy did, it was hard to stay mad at him for long. "Come in and we'll talk."
