Biography
Paddy has spent nearly his entire life at sea, serving many roles and taking in many battles...but he wasn't always the sailor he is today..no..

As a toddler, he was born the son of a distant king and queen, whom ruled over a rich and fertile land where everyone rode unicorns and had magical chickens that laid golden eggs! But one day this royal couple had decided to take him to a fortune teller, who foretold that Paddy would become...AN IDIOT! OH THE HORROR! THE HUMANITY! No! This would not do! In shame, the royal couple decided to condemn him to death! Casting him into the ocean, where he almost drowned! But a miracle! He was saved! By a passing ship crewed by monkeys!

At least, that's what Paddy tells most people, usually when he's already two-thirds through a bottle of rum. Truth be told Paddy has no idea where he came from, as the man doesn't really have that much recollection of his early toddler years, so for all he knew he might have been raised by a dragon!

Regardless of where and what he did as a toddler, one of his earliest recollection as a child was living upon a merchant ship. As a wee lad, Paddy spent most of his time helping with menial work, subject helping the cook with ingredients it assisting the miniaturists in keeping the crew's moral up. At some point, Paddy remembered being sent off to the navy when he was roughly 10 to become a powder monkey upon one of the Royal Navy's ships. Powder monkeys were generally little children tasked with running gunpowder to the gunnery crews manning the mighty cannons of the Royal Navy's warships. The job, especially battle, was quite brutal, scary, and dangerous...but someone had to do it, and Paddy was one of those "someone". Of course, this meant that even at a young age Paddy was exposed to the rough life of a seaman, but truth be told, it was the only life he knew, so it wasn't all that bad. Life didn't get easier as he grew, as he became a teenager, he was promoted from a mere powder monkey to grunt swabbie. This meant that he was now a man, a man with more responsibility, which basically equated to grunt work. Of course, as he proceeded through his adolescent years working as a swabbie, he was beginning to take part in more in more combat. As a powder monkey, protocol was to run and hide at the sight of boarders. As a swabbie, he now had to help repel the boarders, which didn't really fit in with his previous experience of running away from the battle. Luckily, being on a warship meant there were plenty of opportunities to learn first hand, and eventually Paddy was able to steel his nerves at the sight of enemy boarders.

It was around his late teenage years when he was drafted into the Royal Marines on "recommendation" by the current captain at the time. Truth be told, the captain just wanted to get rid of the lad, seeing that he was a bit of a troublemaker among his crew and figured the military would straighten him out. Paddy didn't really have the most stable of childhoods, after all. The Royal Marine Academy did manage to provide structure for Paddy, but he still was a troublemaker even among their ranks. However, given his experience at sea from a young age, Paddy actually was one of the more experienced of recruits. As a result, it didn't take long for him to make the rank of corporal, even going to sergeant for a brief moment, before getting demoted back to corporal after some "disciplinary issues". Still, for a time the now young man sailed the world as a Royal Marine upon a warship, seeing combat primarily against pirate ships.

Life seem to go relatively well for a short time, but it is just like reality to throw a wrench into the the system. Said wrench that was causing the issue was when the navel captain that Paddy had served at the time ("A rioght posh bastard") decided to undertake a hunt of a...notorious megalodon, nicknamed "Big Bertha". The issue here was that said megalodon was rather notorious for...destroy ever ship that tried to hunt it down and killing ever individuals on board. Legend has it that you'd know "Big Bertha" had had her meal when the bloody remains of the crew whom tried to hunt her washed up ashore of the last port were had docked in. All of this is to basically say that most of the crew, Paddy included, thought their captain was "crazy", "a lunatic', "mentally ill" for wanting to lead them on what was basically a suicide mission, which surprisingly didn't sit well with most of the crew. So what did they do? That evening the vast majority of the crew decided to jump ship, Paddy included, figured they'd have a better chance trying to evade the authorities then try to fight a humongous beast of the sea. The moment the desertion begun, they were immediately shot at as they swam towards the shore, some of them died on the way. Those who made it to the shore tried to hide, but were quickly rounded up and thrown into jail. The next day it was announced that ever single one of these deserters were to be hung the day after, per the "lunatics" captain's orders. At this point in time, most of the sailors and marines in jail had little to nothing to lose, so that night they executed a jailbreak, hijacking a royal sloop in the process. Granted, they almost got blown to smithereens, but they were able to narrowly escape thanks to a freak storm. From there, they sailed for the nearest pirate port, where they almost got blown to piece again on account of their royal sloop. Luckily, they were able to clear up the misunderstanding and docked, where they decided staying in one place probably wasn't a good idea. The crew quickly stripped their ship down and sold the components, splitting the cash among themselves before dispersing into smaller groups. Many, including Paddy, took new identities. And thus Paddy's pirate saga begun.

For a time Paddy found himself serving among many pirate vessels, usually being force to "transfer" to another crew after his previous captains had to walk the plank, so to say. It wasn't an oddity that Paddy found himself drifting between the employ of one pirate captain to another. Afterall, danger was always lurking around the corner in the form of rival pirates of the various Royal Navies. Still, even with a name Paddy was still a drifter of sorts, working ever odd job on the ship, at least until he got thrown into jail..again. This time, Paddy shared the same jail cell as an individual from a certain...pirate ship. At the time, Paddy didn't think much of it, sounded like any other pirate ship sailing the great big blue. Still, he was a pirate, Paddy was a pirate, and both of them were under the boot of the authorities. Naturally, both of them busted out with each other's help, and made their grand escape.

Little did Paddy know, this was grand escape would turn into the adventure of a life time...

Personality
What can you say about Paddy that you wouldn't know from just looking at him? He is loud, proud, and unashamedly drunk...half of the time. Granted, it doesn't seem to impede on his ability to do stuff, it just makes him...louder and a little more ham handed then usual...which usually has landed him in prison, but hey, things usually work out fine...usually...But other then Paddy's usual hobbies, Paddy has a knack for sailing. Given his experience, he knows what must be done weather it be dealing with the gods of the sea are angry or dealing with another pirate ship, Paddy's one to be proactive. Outside of business however, Paddy can be a fun person to be around, always telling stories from his younger years and occasionally pulling out an instrument to keep crew moral up. Paddy often means well, though his actions may speak differently. Still, if one could look past some trouble Paddy occasionally may get into, you'd never find a more loyal companion to sail the seas with.

Trivia
-Powder the Monkey has been Paddy's loyal companion for years, and knows a trick or two.

Bounty: Burglary, piracy, theft, grave robbing, property damage, assault & battery,

Statistics
Weapon owned:

Two pistols
A cutlass
A few daggers
A few smoke bombs
Lock picks

Skills:
Mine now: Evelyn is very proficient with her lock picks, due to her history with pickpocketing
Star map: Her studies have given her the ability to determine location and season by the stars, also letting her navigate.
Strategist: An innate ability, Evelyn is very effective at predicting the trade routes of others, making her great at espionage and quick thefts.

Ship captained or crewed: Served as the lookout under the Green Gun, Henry Melcher
Battles: TBA

Biography
Born to a relatively poor family, Evelyn was the smallest and fastest of her three siblings. Because of this, she was often sent to go pickpocket the merchants who came to the market. Caught one, and given a few scars as punishment, she quickly became proficient in theft. Perhaps seven years into her life, a large fire swept through the neighborhood, leaving Evelyn separated from her family. Assuming they all died, Evelyn continued to steal and live in the streets. She was caught many more times, and given many more scars, but refused to die. One day, she stole a large, fancy looking book from a merchant. She couldn't read, but was fascinated by the drawings of star charts in the book. Once again, finding herself caught, this time by the merchant. The merchant was of close relation to The Green Gun of Radakim. Letting the girl keep the book Henry Melcher also decided to take the girl off the streets and into his fleet.

Henry, who almost acted like a father figure, nearly spoiled Evelyn. He gifted her with books and jewelry, even going so far as to get her a Major Michell's Cockatoo, which she named Easter. She became his lookout because it would, quote, "keep me closer to the stars," which inspired her title, the Mistress of the Nest.

When Evelyn was about 23, Henry decided to set out alone on a treasure hunt, for his own personal glory. He appointed a new captain and left. This new captain, Ellis Macer, was cutthroat and brutal. He would kick out any crew member who he deemed wasn't pulling their weight. Eventually, this reached Evelyn, who incorrectly predicted a trade route, causing the pirates' near arrest.

Now, she's looking for more work, while she waits for the Green Gun to return, so she can resume working under him.

Personality
While studying or mapping out travel routes, Evelyn is incredibly level headed. She is quite good at predicting and intersecting the routes of ships with generous cargo. While she can hold her own in a fight, Evelyn mostly tries to get in and out of a ship as fast as possible, only stealing the best of the best. If you manage to catch her when drinking, Evelyn becomes a quick to action and aggressive person. Her parents gifted her with a sharp eye and good reflexes; her aim is nothing to scoff at either. Her title was given to her by her first captain due to how often she was in the crow's nest.

The Silent Maiden
Battles: bloop

» PERSONALITY;
Her military days are long gone, but Zieng-Huo has never lost the discipline and professionalism instilled in her during her time in the army. She seldom displays her emotions openly, and years of dealing with men who do not take kindly to a woman bearing weapons, as well as those who felt that she slept her way to her position, have made her all but impossible to goad to anger. Most commonly, she projects an aura of calm reserve that deepens when she is displeased into an icy aloofness.

When under the command of a superior that she trusts, she will offer her opinions bluntly but respectfully, but will follow the orders she is given, even if she does not fully agree with them. Her days of following blindly are long over, however, and she will defy any order that she feels to be morally wrong, even if that refusal costs her life.

» BIOGRAPHY;
Zieng-Huo was born in Luanya village, part of Gan province on the edge of northern Amari.

In rural communities, it was common practice for a handful of the brightest children to be pushed to prepare for the Imperial Examinations. A small percentage of boys and girls were encouraged to consider joining the military, in line with the provincial conscription policies, and the rest learned how to be good farmers.

Zieng-Huo's mother, Mi-Lan, had passed the examinations with adequate but hardly stellar marks, and had obtained a local appointment with the ministry of works. Her father, Zhat-Ni, was a simple rice farmer whose quiet humor and ready smile had won him his musically talented and intelligent wife.

Zieng-Huo learned literacy and her love of music from her mother. From her father, she learned to accept all life's fortune and misfortune as one would rain on one day and sunshine the next. One could go to great lengths describing the small and simple joys and trials of her childhood, - along with the mischiefs caused by her little brother Huanchen - but suffice it to say, Zieng-Huo grew to have great affection for her home village.

When she became of age at sixteen, Zieng-Huo elected to apply for the military. As being enlisted would give her family the most benefits and easing of taxes, she applied there without hesitation.

Training was long, difficult, and complex. But it was nothing compared to the reality of military life. Downtime in the cities may be pleasant enough, but the time in the Unknown Forests were frequently the stuff of nightmares.

When plants sometimes attack, and animals can be warped beyond anything recognizably natural, the stress upon the mental health of Amari soldiers was constant and intense. With typical jungle patrol rosters of one week on patrol and at least a week of recovery, a soldier's life can go from heaven to hell in the space of a handful of days.

Zieng-Huo coped well for a time. Her quirks of personality became more pronounced over time, but she remained a constant bastion of stability within her squadrons over the years.

However, the tales she could tell of her years thus far would be enough for any to question her mental well-being

So with nothing but a raggedy sampan and her arms, Zieng-Huo departed. Some would have said she went rogue, or deserted, something she would and did reflect on later, before concluding it would not matter if she went where she was meant to be anyways.

"Treating illnesses is why we became doctors. Treating patients is what makes most doctors miserable."

Basics
Full Name: Aaron Esterbrook II
Role: Surgeon
Gender: Male
Born: Gomerya
D.O.B.: December 24th, 1683
Family: Victoria Esterbrook ~ mother, Johnathan Esterbrook ~ father, Samantha Esterbrook ~ sister
Bounty: Harassment, deliberate misdiagnosis, theft, assault & battery

Statistics
Weapon owned: Two pistols, one dagger
Skills:
All Better ~ Having a broad range of knowledge in the field of medicine, Aaron can treat almost any ailment that you could acquire.
Interrogator ~ Aaron usually knows precisely the right thing to say to get what he wanted, whether it answers, or perhaps some money.
Prankster ~ Always used to being deceived by others, Aaron is quick to foretell what that person is most frightened about, then he uses it against them.
Ship captained or crewed: TBA
Battles: TBA

Biography
Aaron was born to a wealthy family in Gomerya and was raised with strict rules and high expectations. It wasn't a big sweat for Aaron, for unlike his sister, he was quick at learning. With much time to spare during the day, Aaron spent his time sitting on the street staring at the ships arriving and leaving the harbor. Dreaming of becoming a sailor, he knew that would never become a reality. He was too weak, and his parents had a beautiful dream of him being a doctor in the future. And Aaron didn't want to fail them.
When Aaron was 17, his sister caught a terrible disease. His parents called in several different doctors, but not a single one of them could do a thing. Aaron wanted to help, but his parents warned him to stay away. They didn't want him catching it as well (it was contagious). So, late one evening, Aaron snuck into his sister's room and started preparing medicine for her. He did it stealthily, only giving her the medication when his parents were sleeping or out of the house. Eventually, his sister got better. Aaron's parents were shocked and sent him away to study medicine from professionals.
Several years later, Aaron became a full-fledged doctor. He got hired as a surgeon at one of the biggest hospitals in Gomerya. He wasn't the best, but like always, he learned fast from the elders and quickly became the best. The older surgeons joked lovingly about him, treating him like family. But, not everything good lasts for long. One day, a patient that came in just made Aaron snap. He demanded Aaron do this, to do that, and he couldn't stand the patient anymore. So, he did everything that he could to hurt the patient without being caught. But, the patient died, and after a series of unfortunate events, Aaron was fired.
Keeping several small jobs, Aaron was not very popular with the patients. He has been fired from his last job and is now looking for work now.

Personality
Due to several years studying and under pressure, Aaron has a reserved character. Only talking when it is necessary, he usually doesn't get along with people. It is hard to make him smile, even harder making him laugh. But, he occasionally will show his emotions. The people closest to him know that he cares deeply about helping people, even if he doesn't show it. Aaron has a terrible temper though, and he will go to the extremes for revenge.
But, unlike most men that he has encountered, he has a deep respect for women. Maybe it's because of his great love for his sister, or his female friends back at his hometown. He stands up for them whenever they are being mistreated but will leave them alone when told.

Title: "The Siren."
Bounty: Multiple accounts of Theft, Assault & Battery

Weapons Owned:
Cutlass, Dagger, Flintlock
Skills:
- Musician; Mostly a skill used for raising morale. He knows how to play some instruments, but his true passion comes out when he sings. Hence his Title.
- Cannon Bred; His aim with Cannons and the sort is almost immaculate. He also is very adept with working and fixing them.
- Runner; He is a born runner, whether the problems be physical and with swords or physiological, he's out ran them.
Ships Captained or Crewed: TBA
Battles: TBA

Biography:
Kaus was born in the Tahmazi city, working with his mother and younger sister. He was a delivery boy when he was younger, until he was 12. He got to board his dad's trade ship. They mostly rode in the trading pass, but years after working in the ships trading weapons, supplies, and other mentionables; they decided to expand their horizons. Kaus was happy to help with whatever his father needed, and so with that in mind they headed out towards the Arid Islands to pick up some tourist items that was found rarely in their home.
Whatever brought in the income to keep the boat keep. That's what his father said to them as they sailed farther and farther from their home. It was a small start to get out of his sailing comfort zone. It went far more well than any of the crew could have expected. While on the island, they had found treasure. They had planned to bring it home so his father could finally retire and spend the rest of his years helping his mother and sister rather than being away from home.
While sailing away from the islands, they were attacked by a pirate ship; killing many of the members. The surviving crew members sailed back home without a captain to lead them. What was sad about the entirety of the trip was the cannons they had aboard had failed maintenance. Kaus believed he would still be sailing with his father or at least come home with him if they had a proper Boatswain.
And so, the man grew up preparing and checking everything on boats, from routes to members. He was a bit butterfingered at first, and did admittedly destroy a bit of property. Though, with his years he became one of the best boatswains the sea has ever seen. With quick leaps, fast and precise hands and joyous song he's been the master of upkeep for about three years now.

Personality
A kind hearted soul with little intent to harm. He, however is very mischievous and loves to make anyone laugh. Other than that he is a sweaty and nervous man without much to contribute to 'pirate' type conversations except cheesy songs. He is energetic when at soft seas, and will usually help anyone with their work while he can. However, under his strong accent and boot slamming to the rhythm he can be rather vicious. There's a few topics that makes this sensitive hearted man blow a gasket.

Ship captained or crewed: The White Crane (1710-1713), The Shark's Revenge (1713/14-1715)
Battles: TBA

Biography
Gweir was born to a rather wealthy middle-class family, his father being a prominent lawyer, and his mother being a beloved midwife; however, his parents were rather puritan and strict. This led to Gweir leading a rather rambunctious and rowdy life as soon as he left their wings at the age of eighteen, entering a prominent philosophical and law school. He tended to get drunk, attempt to go out to parties, and much more, just shy of getting into affairs and whatnot. Needless to say, some might say such events were comical coming from an awkward eighteen year old who was generally quiet. However, this type of activity generally displeased his parents, and whenever he came home (a rare occasion), his parents often compared him to his elder brother, much to his annoyance.

This behavior on both sides eventually accumulated into Gweir's parents removing his source of income, eventually forcing him out of school, three years later. In a penitent mood, and desperate for survival, he turned to a monastery: a monastery dedicated to Kaleiv, the (a) god of death, sleep, and dreams. His intelligence, previously buried under his poor behavior, emerged underneath this new disciplined lifestyle. Eventually, he progressed from a mere monk to a priest, only two years after being in the monastery. However, after a year, his old lifestyle threatened to return. So, in desperation to keep the appearance of discipline up, he joined the army as a chaplain. This lasted for another two years, before Gweir was pulled into church politics, and eventually forced to flee the church.

It was on December 21st, 1702. Winter Solstice, Yuletide. The middle of winter, the dead season. It was during this time that Gweir led a small squad of men to apprehend and exterminate members of a cult dedicated to Uruhelin, the deity of death. To his horror, an old friend, whom Gweir thought was a priest of Kaleiv as well, was among those cultists, though Gweir will swear to the few he tells this story to that his friend's eyes weren't there, in focus. Like he wasn't in control of his body. Whether or not that is the case cannot be determined; Gweir was forced to kill the errant priest himself, and in the aftermath he began investigating to see how his old friend became involved with or was forced to join such a cult. He quit the army, and rejoined the ranks of the full-time clergy. Thus began his descent into politics.

His investigation took him five years. Five years of ever-increasing subtlety, threats of excommunication, death, and ridicule, and paranoia. Five years of studying the occult, of learning the ways of the undead, and of ways to detect and kill them. Five years of purging. The end of this investigation culminated in his ritual execution of a prominent bishop, whom he believed to be stirgoi morti, or undead. Many of the church disagreed with him. He was forced to flee from Navakra, his reputation in tatters, his parents disowning him with horror, his state being an apostate and a criminal.

He eventually arrived at Diakomo six months later, and managed to charter a passage to Moalung. Here, he managed to blend in at least somewhat. It was also here that he became acquainted with pirates. After three years of living in relative anonymity, he became intertwined with a chase between authorities and pirates on land in the harbor, eventually reaching the point where a pirate died. Gweir, being a priest of death, offered to perform the rites of burial for the pirate when they believed they escaped, seeing it as his duty to do so. However, the guards appeared at that time, and, mistaking Gweir for one of the pirates, attacked the lot of them. Gweir was forced to flee with the pirates back to their ship, where they made a hasty retreat. Thus began Gweir's career as a pirate.

Two and a half years passed. In that time, Gweir learned how to fight dirty, to reason with amorally practical pirates, and to administer rites of the various sea gods. However, he remained a priest of death at heart, and soon, many came to him when they feared death, or interpretation of dreams, or when they wished to have a good nights sleep. Eventually, however, his first ship was damaged, and he joined another one. This next tour lasted even less, not even two years, before Gweir was forced back onto land. He chafed at this; he had come to enjoy the sea-faring life.

Personality
Gweir is a quiet and stoic person, instilled into him due to his priestly training. Some might even mistake him for being gloomy. However, while he does take a rather practical, and sometimes ruthless, view of life, he is far from depressed. He holds a firm belief in life and in the redemption of everything. Some have also stated that he has the demeanor of a philosopher, of a thinker. That much is true, at least. He tends to enter long periods of quiet, followed by enthusiastic bursts of activity, in which he rushes around in a flurry of activity, before eventually quieting down back to his stoicism.

Gweir holds a particular hatred towards the concept of undead, being raised as a priest of death, sleep, and dreams. While he holds the opine that everything is redeemable, undead seem to escape this belief. He also believes in the ability for the dead to rest- though not necessarily the right of the dead to keep their possessions. Furthermore, he also believes in the importance of dreams, though his view differs from the authority of his church. Furthermore, he gets somewhat...defensive... when someone pokes fun at his belief, church, and methods.

In social matters, Gweir is fairly.. bad. He tends to despise social gatherings that, in his words, "Achieve nothing more than prattle." An exception to this is intellectual matters. Gweir will enthusiastically participate in such events. In fact, he does bemoan from time to time a standard pirate's lack of appreciation for such philosophical, ethical, and moral matters- he understands, however, that pirates tend to care for material results: as such, he tends to leave complaints for fun he himself can do. He hates being in the middle of crowds, and tends to stay at the edges. He is polite- so much so to the point of sounding stiff and robotic. As for women... he respects them greatly, believing they can do many of the same things as men. However, he does admit that they are the fairer sex; in fact, whenever attending to them socially, his normally quiet-brusque manner disappears, and is replaced by tongue-twisted stuttering and a strange difficulty in getting words out.
