The Staff of the Shine Academy


The Shine Academy for Hunting is proud to boast a large staff and faculty of over 100 members, each with your success as a Hunter or Huntress in mind. While we have a multitude of teacher, our Faculty is lead by four professors, who are former Hunters and Huntresses themselves, members of the Legendary Team DENM. Under the Headmaster Heliotrope, these 4 still make the perfect team in ensuring your success, both on the academic and career level.

Professor Dusk

Coming from a long line of notable Hunters and Huntress's, Miranda Dusk is likely one of the most famous swordsmen in Vale. At the Academy, she oversees and teaches STEM and research classes, such as Math and Science courses. She also teaches fencing and broadsword fighting to Students who specialize in such weapons.

(ADMIN NOTE: Think of Dusk a bit like Minerva McGonnagal. She seems a strict and scary, but she's got a sharp wit and will let you get away with a lot of things if your heart is in the right place.)

Professor Echru

((Sorry for poor quality, I just really wanted to use this guy))

Formerly known as the Fist of Fire, and a master close range combat expert, Johnathan Echru will be helping students learn to use daggers, dual handed weapons, and even their own fists. He's also in charge of the Humanities program, and will be organizing the English, History, and Philosophy classes our young hunters and huntresses will require.

((ADMIN NOTE: Rumor is that Echru used to be the most hardcore teacher on campus, but one day, after making a student cry, he changed his whole attitude and became the meek man before you- they say he seemed to age 30 years overnight. If you manage to really irritate him though, his earlier dark side comes out.))

Professor Navy

A former champion of the Vale Staff Fighting Competition, Professor Oran Navy is currently the Arts Dean at Shine, and organizes Music, Arts, and Photography classes to encourage passions beyond that of Hunting. He will also, of course, also be instructing students in staff based weaponry, from Spears and Lances, to Scythes and Naginatas.

((ADMIN NOTE: Navy's a pretty passionate guy. If you're in one of his music classes, he'll scream at you to practice a lot, but overall he really does just want you to do your best, even if his screaming makes you want to run and hide.))

Professor Malachite

The Career Dean at Shine, Carla Malachite organizes classes from Physical Education to Computer Applications, and everything in between. She uses her skills as a marksmen to help students master both the use of pistols and handguns as well as rifles, cannons, and even rocket launchers. Her prolific career included scoring runner up in the Remnant International Marksmanship Tournament 2 years running.

((ADMIN NOTE: Your standard lazy teacher, most of the student body agrees she's really only here to teach you how to shoot a gun. However, no student can explicitly say they hate her as a teacher, and therein lies the beauty of her art.))

Headmaster Heliotrope

Headmaster Heliotrope has been the Headmaster of Shine Academy for more than 15 years.

((Admin note: Yes, this is deliberately vague. The headmaster has only been seen by a few students, and most only know him by his soft voice, which is heard every monday morning making the weekly announcements. Some students swear up and down that Heliotrope isn't even a color))
