Fantasy The She-King (Characters)

Lord Aphrodite

To conquer death, you only have to die.
Name: Ser Lara Tollivíer

Father Mark: Royal Guardsman
Mother Mark: Scribe
Trade Mark: Royal Guardsman

Age: 25

Height: 70 inches (1.78 meters)
Weight: 160 lbs (72.6 kg)

Personality: Lara is a hard worker, loyal, strong, and capable. She performs her expected duties astutely, and efficiently. She has an excellent professional demeanor, speaking when spoken to, and even performing the duties of butler if needed.

In her personal life, Lara is still quiet, but is completely able to hold a conversation. She's willing to take verbal venting and abuse (though she doesn't like it.)

Lara is a very intelligent and creative person, with a bright mind. But she is not scholarly. She can read and write simple things, and knows basic math. Anything beyond the basics eludes her.

Backstory: Lara was born into a well-off family.

Her father, Dupon Tollivíer was a royal guard, who died in service to the king during his travels. The royal caravan was ambushed by bandits, her father successfully killed three before succumbing to his wounds. Lara was seven at the time.

Her mother was a royal scribe, who mostly copied books, but published a few of her own. Her mother died during childbirth.

After that, Captain Conrad Roth took her on as her own. She was well provided for, but lived a lonely life without parents. She worked as a servant until she was twelve, practicing fighting every so often. At twelve, she chose to go into the royal guard, and excelled in fighting. She quickly rose through the ranks of her class, graduating third of her class.

After graduation, she was appointed Head Guard over Crown Princess Viola. The two butted heads at first, with Lara being more strict than her predecessor, but through communication, they were able to move past it.

Name: The Princess of Dranica, Viola Lockhart

Father Mark: Royal Leader of Dranica, King
Mother Mark: Royal Leader of Dranica, Queen
Trade Mark: Royalty in Line, Princess

Age: 18

Height: 65 in. (1.65 meters)
Weight: 115 lbs. (52 kg)

Personality: Raised in a background of loyalty, Viola has learned how to be respectful, courteous, polite, civilized, and pretty much the picture-perfect image of a princess inside and out. But in her free time is when you can see Viola's true colors. She's spontaneous, passionate, and stubborn. While she has the capability to learn quickly and execute things perfectly, Viola chooses to rather be witty and perhaps clever at times by utilizing her charm to escape out of consequences. She loves the thrill and exhilaration of jumping out of her comfort zone, whilst pulling alongside others around her.

The princess can be quite a handful at times when she is not around her parents or other older relatives, but she knows her limits on teetering on the edge of rule-breaking. She understands her position and that while she can act like a spoiled girl and try to receive anything she wants, her parents would not allow it, nor does she enjoy the experience of being handed things. In fact, Viola prefers the challenge and struggle of earning things. With the protection and rather boring upbringing, Viola had, she prefers to experience a range of emotions. This means that while she can be the happiest and smiliest person in the room, she can also be the scariest when she is angered or afraid.

Overall, Princess Viola is a girl who understands and does her best to keep up her image of being the royal princess all the while trying to live life to its fullest.

Backstory: As with any offspring born into a lineage of royalty, Viola grew up with a lot of expectations on her shoulders and was constantly kept busy with a flood of lessons, practices, and formal meetings. She had some time to act like a child with other children her age from branches of the royal family. But her time of freedom was always limited since there was always something else planned for her.

Growing up, Viola was told of great achievements of her father King Barin with how he helped to raise the economy of the Dranica kingdom once more or how he built a better society for Dranican citizens. All stories of him was always glorified and heavily embellished, so Viola grew up only to see the best side of the king. This pattern held true for the Queen as well. With Queen Adeline though it was stories of how she created more organizations to help the unfortunate or how she helped with craftsmen's ideas coming to life to better help society. So Viola, along with her brother Vincent, saw the huge footsteps they needed to follow.

Upon reaching past the crazy, imaginative phase of her life, Viola began to see some shadows of darkness from the light her parents supposedly shined. But each time she would try and figure out her doubts, someone would steer her away or reject her frivolous thoughts. The more she reached closer to adulthood, the more Viola began to see her parents more as humans with wealth and power rather than the great gods people painted them to be for her.

The more curious she became, the more stubborn Viola became. This didn't set for a great situation when Lara was assigned to Viola, the two contrasting personalities clashing often. But gradually over time, Viola began to appreciate Lara's presence.
