The main characters of our story - feel free to get your character sheets in here once you're done. I'll add the information for character creation here later on, just in case it's needed in the future.
Point-buy with 20 pts - 16/16/10x4 is a possible statline, but officially discouraged.
There's a great calculator linked by Kaerri :
Start at level 1, level-up via milestones, not exp.
Classes: from the core rulebook or alchemist - if you want something else, ask. Stay close to the core rulebook.
Deities: All of the standard Pathfinder deities are fair game, in principle.Anything else? Just ask, and maybe we can make it happen. Thexy will have limited support, though.
Alignment: Good, lawful-neutral, or neutral with an agenda that I can get behind - i.e. one that keeps you involved in the story. At least a limited amount of moral flexibility is recommended - as a guideline: If you can stand in the same room with a cleric of Asmodeus without trying to kill him immediately, you're likely good to go. Bonus points if you can begrudgingly work with them for a time if the situation requires it. Crusader-like characters are fun, but might take away options from the group in certain scenarios.
Average starting money for everyone.
No traits.
And - information for starting characters, copied from several posts in the conversation (for more information on Lord Jordenin, see the Lore tab):
You will start in the service of a minor lord, and have been there for at least half a year. That time has been rather uneventful, at least until the story starts - it's been a pretty easy job, and whether you're there for first experiences, for easy cash or to get away from elsewhere, you've probably not been too disappointed. Well, unless you where there for action, because they say that "nothing ever happens in the Barony of Roots" for a reason, apparently.
You all have - for some time - been guests of Lord Jordenin. He invited you to live in his guest house - a small room for each of you, plus access to basic necessities. Naturally, you will have run into each other at least a few times, and every character will be familiar with the very basics of each other. Any more than that is up to you. As an example, everyone will know that Amber has a pretty close connection with Lord Jordenin - unless she's happy to share the story, they won't know that it all started with burglary. But they'll have figured out that she's agile, good with weapons, and not a priestess of Abadar. As another example, everyone will know that Dreamy serves Desna, and that Thomas devoted his live to serving Pharasma; but they probably won't know about Dreamy's exact origin, or any details about the Silver Shields. Does that help?
This means that in some instances, your characters will know more than you do. I'll try to put those things into my post, but don't hesitate to ask if you feel like they should know something that's not included. They'll probably know it.
You are all expected to be familiar enough with lord Jordenin that he'd ask a favor of you when he needs it. You are not expected to do so for free.
