Starter:

Racing through the forest, dodging tree branches, large boulders and trees themselves, Xavier could hear the pounding hooves behind him. Finally giving up, he sighed loudly. Reaching up, his hand grabbed a branch as Xavier swung himself up on the fairly large bark with a thud.

"You can tell your Royals and that pathetic scientist that they will never have me again." A deep husk voice sounded as a growl from his throat as he stood up on the branch. Carefully placing his leather clad feet as he reached the edge, his entire body, armor, weapons and all shifted into a hawk. The air gentle blew him up high into the sky. Wings lightly flapping every five seconds, sharp clear eyes darting around below him as he watched. For what? He wasn't sure. Anything really. A fight hopefully. But Xavier is willing to do just about anything to clear the boredom out of his system.

Name: Adrianne Caivano

Age: 22

Home Country: Italy (Venice)

Appearance:

Adrianne is a rather short woman, at five foot five, and is somewhat plump, with wide hips and an ample bosom.

Personality: Adrianne is a rather sheltered woman, who has lingered in her parent's home for longer than usual, as her doting mother has held her very tightly, and protested vehemently at any plan to send her away. As a result of this, she is rather mistrustful of strangers, and anyone not from her small community. Adrianne is rather loud, and enjoys talking whenever possible, a trait inherited from her mother. Also, she inherited her mother's gentle, caring mannerisms.

Short Bio: Adrianne was born to an Italian merchant and his wife in the city state of Venice, the only child of her parents. She was very sickly as a child, and was confined to the walls of her home. To entertain her, Adrianne's mother insisted that she be taught to read and write, in Latin, English, and Italian. Education for girls was rather rare, but Adrianne's mother had her way, and her little girl was taught a similar curriculum to most boys, albeit with different etiquette and physical instruction. This continued until Adrianne was around nineteen. Her shape-shifting abilities were known by her parents, and led to a confinement through this time as well.

It was at this point her schooling stopped, due to the fact that her mother was becoming deathly ill, and could no longer hold her own in an argument with her father. Adrianne took the developments in stride, taking care of her sick mother and managing the house when her father was away. This period lasted three long years, until Adrianne's mother died. Her father, a caring, but distant man, decided to send her to Switzerland, both to hide her odd powers and to preserve her fragile health.

(First post coming in a few minutes. I'm a touch busy.)

Adrianne peeked outside from a window of her small home in an even smaller town in the Swiss Alps, heart in her throat. A patrol of royal soldiers, accompanied by an apprentice scientist were walking through the street in front of her house. This display dispelled any feeling of safety she once had in the faraway settlement, and made her feel anxious, always a bad omen. She pulled on a traveling cloak and a pair of boots, heading out her back door and into the forest surrounding her home, hoping to escape for a while, just in case she was the target of the patrol.

Circling the forest, Xavier made sure no soldiers were around as he landed on a branch shifting back into his normal form. Taking a deep breath, he jumped down to the ground with a thud causing his hood to fall backwards revealing his short black hair. Glancing around with his dark forest green eyes, Xavier decided that it was safe enough to pull the cloth down that covered his mouth. Even though he could shift into different forms with no problem, it still took quite a bit of energy from him. So he sat down against the tree near him and rested his eyes.

Adrianne traveled through the forest, letting the large hood of her cloak fall rearwards onto her shoulders. Sh let out a deep, peaceful sigh, relaxing as she escaped the town. As much as the townspeople provided safety from the wild creatures and people of the forest, Adrianne loved the solitude of a venture into the wooded regions of her new home. Also, it gave her time to think, and to exercise her shape-shifting abilities, which she knew better than to practice within the village, behind closed doors or not.

Feeling the cool breeze sweep against his slightly warm forehead, Xavier smiled at the calmness of the forest. He enjoyed the woods more than towns. Pushing upwards to his feet, he decided to cause a little trouble by shifting to a grey wolf. Out of all the animals he can turn into, this was his all time favorite even if he was a tiny bit more built than a normal male wolf. Lifting his muzzle to the sky, Xavier let out a deep calm howl that echoed throughout the forest. The only thing that stayed the same in each form was his eyes. But that's when his sharp hearing caught sound of people creating chaos. Sadly they were heading his head. Sensing five, he snarled waiting for them knowing they were after him.
