You’re walking in the market by the harbor, and your nose is serenaded by the exotic spices and the salty sea air. You look at the oddly shaped gourds (now called squash), and run your hands across the smooth skin. The merchant slaps your hand off, and waves you away. And then smoothly, you melt into the shadows, a gourd in your hands. You are a thief. The smartest and most athletic, you’re the best of the best. You expect to walk away with your loot for today: pepper (expensive!), a gourd, parsnip, and a leg of mutton. You expect to walk away with your loot like always, but then you see a strange sight. A woman dressed in the fine clothes of a captain. She is dressed finely, but sensibly. She looks like perfect pickpocketing material. Your goal is the pocket watch tumbling out of one of her (many) pockets. You smoothly slide up to her, and reach in her pocket, your hand light as a feather. Suddenly her hand latches onto your wrist and she slugs you in the face.

You wake up onboard a rocking ship, the woman crouched in front of you.

“Hi,” She says plainly. You look at her flabbergasted.

“You are a thief, aren’t you?” She says, looking concerned. You decide not to lie.

“Uh, yeah, why?” You say unsurely. She leans forward and says, her peacock feather tilted.

“Would you like to journey the seven seas?”

What were you doing when you spotted the captain?
How did you find the her?
How did you feel when you awoke on the ship?
What did you say/think when she offered to take you to the Seven Seas?
If you're a crew member (already aboard the ship), what were you doing thinking/feeling when the passengers appeared on the ship?

I watched as my sister, a small girl with vibrant blonde hair amidst many food counters, performed for a small group of tourists. Most of them had, by now, bought an assortment of foods, candies, and supplies at the market. As the girl twirled and somersaulted, I watched and waited until I sat down and watched, acting like the tourists. I had a bag with me, but I would quietly take from other bags and put it into mine as they stared forward with careful smiles on their faces. I was only able to do this because the tourists weren't paying attention, and neither were the vendors, for they only cared for their products, before they were sold. I shook my head as I stood, then walked off, back towards were we kept all our stuff hidden away in the drainage. As I was walking over, I noticed that the docks had a newcomer, a captain with a pocket watch out in the open. Why in the world would you leave it out like that? I pondered, leaving the bag quickly before returning to watch the captain. I attempted to lightly pluck it out, but then everything was black.

The swaying of the boat almost calmed me, and when I woke I noticed the captain and smiled. Then, I blinked a few times and attempted to get away, but I finally realized that I was on a boat and fell back down as another wave came. Well, I wasn't prepared, I thought to myself.
"Hi." The captain says. I blink back at her. You are someone I don't know that knocked me out, stay away from me! I want to shout, but kept silent.
"You're a thief, aren't you?" She asks, concern crossing her face. I just look down, unintentionally acknowledging her question as correct.
"Would you like to journey the seven seas?" She asks quickly. I lunge back, surprised, and fall back down again, hitting my head slightly. I am not used to waves. Not at all. I sit up and rub the back of my head, before nodding. Wait- a second. I didn't mean to do that! I am about to tell her I need to think about it, but she has already started to turn around and leave.
Guess I'm stuck on the ship... Shouldn't be too bad, right?

Alexander sat in the crows nest, peering out into the great blue. He looked down at the deck as he took a hefty swig from his bottle.
'Wonder if that girl is awake' he thought to himself. He hadn't known the captain for as long as some of the other crew members, but he trusted her decisions. He had never known a captain to be such a good judge of character.
Plugging his bottle back up and tying it to his belt, he started climbing down the ladder towards the deck.
He was very drunk.
About two and a half meters from the deck, he slipped and fell straight of ladder, landing flat on his back with a loud 'Bang!'
Slowly, Alex pulled himself up and stumbled over to the railing, pulling his bottle of his belt and continuing to drink heavily.

The sky was filled with small white clouds, blocking out the sun every now and then. It was nice, but Quinn knew that with the amount of wind coming from the east there was going to be a decent amount of rain. He didn't mind the rain as long as it stayed a reasonable amount, too much made the sleeping quarters wet and sleeping with moisture is never fun. The chilled morning of everyone doing their duties always put Quinn at ease, even if his captain was technically kidnapping random thieves. The girl sitting on the floor on the other side of the boat was the first to come, and he knew there would be more. He never understood why the captain chose thieves to take, but it he trusted her and whatever decision she made, even if it was recruiting thieves and putting them on her boat promising them a strange adventure.

"What the f**k are you doing, you drunk b***h?!" Kihara ranted in her usual manner as she herded Alexander toward the cabins. She gave him a smooth kick that sent him careening toward the door. Then she sauntered off to go check on the new arrival(s). She spotted a blond girl sitting on the floor, looking a bit confused. Ki carefully examined her from top to bottom. “You better not be stirring trouble round here, ya’ best behave or I’ll throw ya’ overboard.” She threatened the girl and gave her the best stink eye she could. Kihara understood the power of first impressions. If you set a strong impression, they be good to ya’, if you set a weak impression, they know they can mess with ya’ however they want. It was a motto she lived by. “Hey Quinn, you doing good? Les’ hope none of the new recruits ain’t gonna’ be trouble!” Ki said as she cracked her knuckles. Although she valued peace, she also valued a good fight.

I looked around the area that I had arrived in to see a figure on the other side of the floor. I continued looking around the area, until I startled from a new person coming down. It was a girl, I assume to be slightly taller than me and not particularly happy at the moment. In fact, I wondered how often she smiled. I glanced at her, trying to figure out what was going on as she was watching me.
"You better not be stirring up trouble round here, ya' best behave or I'll throw ya' overboard." That was when I finally realized that being thrown overboard was entirely possible. I just stared at her as she continued talking to the other person. I blinked a few times then shook my head as she cracked her knuckles. I would rather not fight on my first day aboard this ship, thank you very much, I thought. Plus, I wasn't able to steal from the captain. How in the world would I be able to steal from anyone else unless they were out of the room or something? Plus, I would probably be the one blamed, sooooo.....

I tried to catch her attention before shaking my head to answer her question. I would rather not be thrown overboard.

Quinn gave a soft smile and nodded in agreement. Having new passengers usually always resulted in trouble. Even if there were a few good ones, there was almost always more trouble makers. He had never been one to crave fights, but the look of Kihara made him give of a silent laugh. The poor girl on the floor looked troubled and confused, Quinn felt bad but he refrained from doing anything, for now. He had never been one to create good first impressions, and it usually ended up with him making a fool of himself. He looked over to Kihara who seemed eager as ever for any sign of resistance. He frowned a bit, pointing at the sky showing his discomfort for the future weather.

Alexander fell forward and rolled through the door way in spectacular fashion. After knocking over a few old barrels he came to a stop in the cabin hallway.
"Hic one day you'll Hic kill me like that Hic Ki..." he said from the floor as he watched one of the angriest 1st mate he had ever had the displeasure of working under, walk away.
He waited a few moments before collecting himself off the floor and walking over to the doorway.
Peeking out from behind the door frame he watched the crew crowd around some poor girl on the floor.
Ki was asserting her dominance, as she did, over the frail looking girl in the middle. Alex just hoped the captain would turn up before she turned violent or, at the very least, Aislinn would show up afterwords.
'Qinns in his own little world again' He thought to himself as he uncorked his broken bottle before tossing it too the side.

For the most part today was a day like any other for the great Jayce. His morning routine went by quicker than normal. He was rather excited. Today was the day he would charter a ship to go sailing. On his way out of his headquarters one of his younger siblings handed him a traveling pack with a sheet of paper. They then gave their goodbye's concluding it with a heartfelt hug.

The Docks were crowded as usual. Even so people appeared to have allowed him a reasonable amount of space. Perhaps they didn't want to experience the loss of a hand like the poor pleb who tried tried to pick his most sacred pockets. He held a sheet a paper in his hands with three ship's names written on them. They were the ones who may be willing to carry him on their journey of the seven seas; two had already been crossed out. Before he made his way to the third ship he noticed a brief scuffle at the corner of his eye. A young girl had been knocked out by another and carried on board a ship by man with a bottle tied to their hip. He glanced around the crowd then groaned, "Really? No one's going to do anything about that?" He pinched his nose in thought, then crumpled up the paper with the ships names on it before tossing it aside. "Human trafficking is quite serious..."

-Sometime later-
Jayce stood at the bow of the ship. He leaned against the rails with his arms crossed. His sensitive azure eyes shielded from the sun by his shades as he gazed upon the deck of the ship. A calm confident smile stained his face, even though he was displeased that he couldn't rescue the girl before the ship had set sail. He wasn't impressed by the crew of the ship either. So far there was a drunk, a try hard female, and a mute kid. He hadn't laid eyes on the captain since she knocked the blondy out.

After watching the dark haired girl's violence towards the drunk, Jayce watched her intently when she approached the blond. He just watched for now. Too many eyes were on the kidnapped person and none aboard the ship seemed to have noticed him as being out of place so far. Though he felt like captain hook among the lost boys.

People kept coming in. In all honesty, it was freaky since I had tried to get as little attention as possible when I was a thief and had been for long enough to get used to staying out of the way. The figure(I still had no idea who it was) nodded slightly. I noticed another person come in, though he didn't say anything, just uncorked another bottle as he scanned the room. The only person I did know (kind of) was the captain, and she wasn't down here. I scooted back slightly to put more room between all of them and noticed another person watching me. I watched him for a bit, trying to figure out how much older he was. Both of the males looked to be around the same age, but the rest of the people watching me looked to be around my age. Of course, everyone seemed to know each other.
"Uhhh..." I muttered, looking around, trying to think of pros and cons. Pros: I had gotten used to the waves (couldn't really walk, though), it was going to be an adventure(yay?), and uh... I was meeting new people? Cons: I knew none of them, my sister wasn't here, my sister had no idea where I was, and the girl didn't look happy, at all. I guess I should start with a greeting? I thought, completely forgetting how to talk to people. I rarely talked with my sister, due to she was the distraction, so people might suspect stuff or something... I don't remember the reason.
"Hi?" I asked.

The Captain
The Captain ran around the boat, her hair flying around, her hat falling off. She didn't quite know what to do. She bumped into Kihara Mei.
"Kihara!"She sighed in relief.
"What?" Kihara said in usual Kihara fashion.
"IhavenoideawhattodoandI'mconfusedandIneedheloandyouBETTERNOTBESCARINGTHEYOUNGERONESORELSEbutIhavenpideawhattodo."The Captain rambled.
"I have no idea what the f**k ya' said." Kihara said.
"Kihara!"
"What!"
"I told you not to use that language!" The Captain crossly said.
Kihara Mei mumbled something under her breath.
"Kihara!" The Captain said loudly.
"What now?!?"
"I'm scared.Should we set sail yet?" The Captain nervously whispered.
"You're the captain, you decide."
"You're no help."
"Thanks." Kihara turned around and left.
"Ughhhhhhhhhh." The Captain groaned running her hands through her hair. She seriously needed help.
I should probably start by going and saying hi to the new crew members.
The Captain walked to the door and opened it....

With a heavy sigh, Jayce pushed himself off of the ship's railings. He had seen enough to come to the conclusion that this ship was and all aboard it were doomed. The captain had finally made her appearance and she seemed to have lost that cool composure she had when she took the blond girl captive. Her brown hair was disheveled, her eyes expressed worry, and her radical movements shouted her anxiety. These children were playing sailors. The idea of what might happen to their youth did not sit well with Jayce. In his gut he knew had to step in.

His boots thumped against the wood of the deck as he approached the three girls. He placed a gentle hand briefly on the 'captain's' shoulder as he stepped past her. "You know, putting someone's lights out and kidnapping them isn't the best way to go about making friends." He offered his hand to the girl on the ground to help her up to his feet. "Hey there young lady. Believe it or not, but I'm here to save you. Though..." The brown skinned man looked over his shoulder at the two girls behind him, "you're not the only one who needs saving."

Alexander stumbled into the room and walked right past the group of people in the middle of the room. He headed over to the corner where he had stashed another bottle of grog in the big chest. After popping the bottle open and taking a heavy swig, he sat on top of the chest.
"Captain" he said slurred "You should probably ask Quinn about the weather..."
Pointing at there resident weatherman, or man effected by the weather, he took another swig from the bottle while looking over the little crew.
'I've worked with worse...' he thought to himself 'We'll be fine...maybe...'

The Captain
The Captain felt a hand rest briefly on her shoulder. She turned around and saw Jayce.
"You know, putting someone's light's out and kidnapping them isn't the best way to go about making friends." He said confidently.
Pure rage.
The Captain calmed herself. This ship, with her smooth mahogany rails, and a siren at her bow, was known as The Mania. The Mania was the captain's ship. It was her home.
She wasn't making friends. She was making a crew.
Who was this arrogant boy, who claims to save the crew?

The drunk man staggered into the room and told her to ask Quinn, the blue eyed boy about the weather

The Captain straightened her back and looked calmly around the room.

"Welcome onboard The Mania. Weather, time and direction no longer matters. We are going to the seven seas. If you want to survive you need to be in control of your emotions," she looked directly at Jayce," and your ego."

She paced a bit, waiting for it to sink in.

"We'll set sail in a few minutes. Get ready. If anyone wants to back out, now is your time."
She looked around, waiting to see who would leave.

It was the stand-down between a man who was here to save my life (I was in danger? I thought, realizing this could be entirely true) and the Captain who knocked me out. Who will win? Time for.... commercial break! No, wait, time for rewind! The man, after watching over the entire scene of me meeting most, if not all of the crew, came down.
"You know, putting someone's lights out and kidnapping them isn't the best way to go about making friends." He had said to her as he past. Then, he came up to me and offered his hand.
"Hey there young lady. Believe it or not, but I'm here to save you. Though you're not the only one who needs saving." I sat the in confusion for a bit, debating whether to take the hand. On one hand, he might save me. On the other, I would just fall back down. So, making my decision, I shook my head and scooted back a bit, trying to indicate that I would rather not embarrass myself by falling when everyone else was already used to the waves.

The stand-down ended shortly after it had started, the Captain calming herself quite quickly. Wish I could do that, I thought dreamily for a bit, before I startled slightly by the announcement.
"Welcome onboard The Mania. Weather, time and direction no longer matters. We are going to the seven seas. If you want to survive you need to be in control of your emotions and your ego." The captain called out. Never mind, stand-down still going, I thought with a small smile. Then, she paced a bit before stopping herself.
"We'll set sail in a few minutes. Get ready. If anyone wants to back out, now is your time." I could actually just back out! After knocking me out and bringing me onboard, I could just leave. That's... that's... actually sounds reasonable. Although, if I had to relive this, I would rather not be knocked out, thank you very much. So... I decided to stay for the ride.

He raised a brow when the girl moved away from him, rejecting his offer for assistance. Perhaps she was the rebellious type. Though that might not be the case since she bared no fangs towards anyone. Perhaps she was scared. "Hmm..." Jayce squatted so that he was eye level with the blonde. He reached into the side pouch of his pack and took out a greasy piece of cloth. Unwrapping it revealed half a dozen strips of jerky. He offered the girl a piece. "I'm not the one who dragged you on the ship. No need to be weary of me. The one who did appears to be a very fickle person." Whether or not the girl took a piece of jerky Jayce wrapped it up and put it back into the side pouch of his pack as he stood up. "It would seem now is your chance to go back home. I think I'll stay awhile. Sounds like there is an adventure to be had here. I'd like to see how it plays out."

Before leaving the room he picked the captain's hat up. He moved behind it and placed the accessory on top of her brown hair after dusting it off. "You've taken on a rather large responsibility young lady. The lives on everyone on this ship are in your hands." He left the group in the room going back to the deck. With his back to them he gave a wave and without looking back added, "Don't be afraid to call on your Big Brother, Jayce, if you ever need some advice."

The Captain watched as Jayce left the room. Her hands curled into fists. She calmed herself. Her hands loosened, and she smiled at everyone in the room.
She took her hat off, straightened the peacock feather that Jayce bent, somehow. She tied up her hair neatly, and put her hat back on.

"So," she said, still smiling," that was a bit odd. But hopefully no one ever does that again. I may be young, but I am still your captain."
She looked around.
Her gaze rested upon two of the crew members around her age, Quinn and Mira.
"I suppose you guys know what it's like to be underestimated as well."
She sighed.
"Or not."
She smiled again, more gentle this time.
"I'll leave all of you to decide . I'll go get the ship ready for sailing."

Aislinn Eilis

Aislinn emerged from her mini apothecary where she had spent the night preparing medicines so that she would be ready for the new passengers. Just as she had dreamed last night, the passengers were all standing in the room, everybody in tense positions.

"You must be Mira," she gave a nod toward the blond girl. She gave everyone a stern look that said you better behave. Last night, Aislinn had also dreamed of a bloody altercation between Jayce and the captain. Thankfully, the captain had kept her anger in check. "If you guys have any injuries or ailments, make sure to come to me," she pointed to her apothecary. Then she went off to fetch Jayce. I'm going to have to talk to him about respect.

Once again Jayce found himself at the bow of the ship known as "Mania". It was a fitting name for what lie ahead for them in the near future. If rumors were correct the waters of the seven seas where quite fearsome. He thought of the adrenaline rush the chaos would grant him. It's going to be a grand adventure. Despite his excitement he knew that making sure everyone made it back safely would be the greatest challenge of them all. Especially with such a small number of capable people on the ship. As he gazed out upon the sea, dwelling on his thoughts, he was set upon by yet another young lady. She smelled of herbs and medical alcohol. Her fragrance alone labeled her as the ship's medic.
"What can I do ya for?" He turned around to face the individual, raising his eyebrows in a friendly manner. She looked to be in her early twenties, but with the pattern of the ship it was likely that it was not the case. "You look like you have something on your mind."

Quinn watched idly at the group before him, their conversation creating more and more tension in the air. He wasnt one to tolerate others acting as if they were above him without a valid reason, But it seemed as if Aislinn had it under control. If anyone could smack sense into someone with such a thick skull, it was her. Quinn was a bit troubled at the lack of concern for location and weather from his captain, seeing as the two usually helped in sailing a boat. But her mind set was something he was use to and even if they ended up drowning from ocean from an ocean tornado, at least they were bound to be having fun.

Luckily it seemed as if the small girl that had joined us was going to stay for a while. Quinn didnt need anymore people to be dragged on the ship, he didnt know how many more wild cards would have been present and Quinn was not very good at cards.

Alexander watched the captain walk in, say her peace and walk out. Shaking his head after the other boy left he pushed himself up off the chest in the corner.
"If that's the case" he said walking around the group "I'm going over the cannons real quick...if anyone wants to watch me...just to be sure i don't over pack 'em...ill be on deck"
He looked over the group before walking out of the room. He made the little offer, not because he needs help but more because it was boring and he liked the company.
Following the captain out the door he took another swig from the bottle before calling out.
"Captain!" he hollered "Im going over guns real quick!"
There was a slight pause before he added "Relax a little!"
Walking off he made his way around to the first cannon on the top deck, going over it before he started prepping.
It was a boring process. Tedious but usefull, he just wished he had someone to talk to whilst he did it. Anyone would be nice.
Hell, even Kihara.

"I'm not the one who dragged you on the ship. No need to be weary of me. The one who did appears to be a very fickle person." I was so confused I had no idea how to respond. He offered some jerky, though, so I took that and nibbled on it. The Captain and, uh, Jade? continued something, then he called something out, something like, "Me.... Brother... Jade..." I wan't really paying attention. I was more paying attention to another person who had joined us. She also had blond hair and seemed to be a thoughtful person.
"You must be Mira," She said, then nodded and looked around.
"If you guys have any injuries or ailments, make sure to come to me," She said, before leaving to go somewhere, I had no idea. Just then, I saw uh... Bottle? For now, sure. Later on, definitely need to know their names. Anyways, Bottle stood up and approached the gradually decreasing group. Jade, Thoughtful, and Captain had left. So that left us with, uh... Bottle, uh, Kiar? And uh, K-something? Uh... We'll go with Quiet for now.
"If that's the case, I'm going over the cannons real quick...if anyone wants to watch me...just to be sure i don't over pack 'em...ill be on deck." Bottle said before leaving after a short period of silence had occured.
Had I actually told anyone my name yet? Then how did Thoughtful know? I shook my head and looked up at Kiar (?) and Quiet.
"So, what are you names?" I asked, wondering if they had overheard Thoughtful.

"Excuse me?!" Kihara gave Mira a look of disgust. She had just introduced herself, how could her name have been already forgotten? "I'm Kihara, and I will throw your dumb a** overboard if you forget my name again," Ki said icily. "I have to go untie the boat so the captain can work her magic, then we'll be off." Without waiting for a reply, she stalked off. Despite the height, Kihara nimbly jumped off of the boat and attempted to untie the complicated knot that the captain had tied. No matter how hard she pulled, the rope did not give. Letting out a roar of frustration, she pulled out her cutlass and hacked the knot off. Then Kihara pivoted and grabbed hold of the rope just as it swung away. She inched her way up the rope and then wrapped her legs around it. Ki let out an ear piercing, guttural scream of joy as she soared through the air toward the boat. Most people would probably crash into the boat but not Ki, she kicked her legs out and latched onto the boat. Then she pulled herself up and over the top of the boat. "Captain, work your magic!" Kihara shouted.

Quinn watched as Kihara jumped off the boat, frowning a bit at the reckless behavior. She was going to get herself killed someday. He turned back to Mira and looked at her, thinking for a bit. He walked over to her and place a gentle hand on her shoulder and gave a thumbs up and a smile, all the while shrugging. He put on his best 'Call me whatever you want because trying to tell you my name would be too difficult' face and then walked over to where Kihara had just gotten up at, giving a worried look before turning back to the captain in waiting patience. This boat was just too eventful for him, at this point he was going to die at a young age from all the stress.

"I think it's best to keep your mouth shut. I can dream the future and I saw you being thrown overboard. Now there, don't be too scared because you can change the future, but you have to work for change," Aislinn gave Jayce a serious look. She had been lying about Jayce getting thrown overboard though. Aislinn knew that he was to smart-mouthed and snake-tongued for that to happen. Nevertheless, she still enjoyed threatening people from time to time. When she heard Kihara's scream, she knew it was her cue to leave. Aislinn yawned as she left. Suddenly, she became tired. Her eyes began drooping and her body began slouching. This was what always happened when she was about to have a prophetical dream, and there wasn't much she could do about it."T-taaake me to the apothe---" She crumpled to the ground, falling into a deep, deep sleep.
