You’re walking in the market by the harbor, and your nose is serenaded by the exotic spices and the salty sea air. You look at the oddly shaped gourds (now called squash), and run your hands across the smooth skin. The merchant slaps your hand off, and waves you away. And then smoothly, you melt into the shadows, a gourd in your hands. You are a thief. The smartest and most athletic, you’re the best of the best. You expect to walk away with your loot for today: pepper (expensive!), a gourd, parsnip, and a leg of mutton. You expect to walk away with your loot like always, but then you see a strange sight. A woman dressed in the fine clothes of a captain. She is dressed finely, but sensibly. She looks like perfect pickpocketing material. Your goal is the pocket watch tumbling out of one of her (many) pockets. You smoothly slide up to her, and reach in her pocket, your hand light as a feather. Suddenly her hand latches onto your wrist and she slugs you in the face.
You wake up onboard a rocking ship, the woman crouched in front of you.
“Hi,” She says plainly. You look at her flabbergasted.
“You are a thief, aren’t you?” She says, looking concerned. You decide not to lie.
“Uh, yeah, why?” You say unsurely. She leans forward and says, her peacock feather tilted.
“Would you like to journey the seven seas?”
You, along with your intrepid counterparts decide to go on the journey to the Seven Deadly Seas on the promise of adventure. Even though the Seven Seas are deemed a myth, you don't believe so. Despite knowing that all the people that journeyed to the Seven Seas never returned, you still decide to make the daunting voyage to the Seven Deadly Seas. Will you emerge on the other side victorious or will die along the way?
When you enter this sea, everything appears to be normal. As if nudged by an invisible hand, the boat starts moving to and fro. After a while, the sea starts getting choppier. At first, the rocking is bearable, but it progressively gets worse. It’s like someone is holding the boat. Over time, the rocking begins tossing people overboard so you better hold on tight!
As you enter the second sea, it will start to rain. At first, it will only be a light sprinkle but as the vessel gets deeper into this sea, the light rain will turn to a downpour. Quickly find your way inside, for the rain will turn to acid. Don’t touch the rain or it will burn you!
This sea is brutal. It will batter your ship with lightning and thunder and storms. It’s as if this sea has a mind of its own. It won’t stop when your boat is bruised, it will keep going until it near death!
Don’t underestimate this sea. It may start out peaceful but with a great rumble that will shake you to your core, a kraken will awake from it’s deep slumber and rise out of the waves. Be brave, for all who have attempted to cross the Seven Seas have met their end here.
Starting with gentle whispers, the voices will work their way to shouts. No matter how far you run, you will never outrun these voices. No matter how loud you call out for help, nobody will aid you because they are suffering (hearing the voices) too.
Be careful, for this sea is lethal disguised as peaceful. As you enter this sea, you will feel light showers but beware because if you touch the rain, you might go crazy (from hearing voices and hallucinating)!
This sea is the most ferocious of them all. While being sucked in by a humongous, savage hurricane, you will also have to battle voices AND hallucinations, except, this time they can interact with you. They could poke you and prod you but if you try to touch them, they will disappear. The pain you will feel is indescribable.
