Inara is a 5 from Labrador, and considers herself a very successful singer, and a decent piano player. As a soprano 1, her bird like voice is well renowned, if not terribly well known. Mostly focused on her career, she hopes the Selection will give her the exposure needed to jump from a lowly 5 singing for the upper castes to a 2 with all the amenties and luxuries she might ever need. Even if she does not win, the status boost will be enough to help her family and herself lead more comfortable lives.


She's a very serious, career oriented girl with a small stature and gingerbread dark skin and raven black hair, a bit of a rare sight so far north. Her face is very sculpted and elegant, and could be described as aristocratic. She's a little bit insecure about the size of her nose, but overall she considers herself to be rather pretty, considering her looks are a part of her popularity as a contract singer. Her passion for her music is what drives her, but she is not above noticing other things. She is well known for her formal, almost humble manner, but there is a bit of a wit beneath her frail exterior. When she isn't actively performing, she's learning new music, or trying to find inspiration for a new song in books, nature, her family- wherever she can.


Her family is not too terribly large for 5's, with her parents and her 3 siblings, 1 brother and 2 sisters. As the eldest, Inara is excellent with children, and practically raised her siblings, the youngest of whom is a full 10 years younger than her. She uses what little spare money she has to support each of their budding careers, and they do the same for her. Her family, while not perfect, is very close and well bonded.


If she is selected, it will very quickly be made obvious that while Inara is not necessarily interested in marrying Alexander, she won't be backing out without a fight. She isn't afraid to put someone nasty in her place, and she will do everything in her power to make sure only those who deserve it make the Elite, hopefully alongside herself.
