Are reporters allowed to get into relationships, or are they strictly gossip and drama?
What caste do reporters lie in? Sorry, if this was listed in the information...it was a lot to digest and I didn't quite catch it
i have a question in regards to code. can we use it for our character sheets and in-character posts? if we do use it, are there any requirements, such as for it to be mobile-friendly?
okay! thank you.Yes! You can use whatever code you'd like. There are no requirements.
man, i really want to try for the prince (both because i have a few ideas and because he’s a key character we’ll need to start the roleplay), but i’m worried there will be too much pressure. ^^;
Do maids have a standard uniform or do they just wear anything?
i’m less concerned with commitment (once i’m hooked into a roleplay, i’m pretty much stuck) and more so with the fact that i’d be responsible for making him send other people’s characters home. that takes a lot of consideration on my part, mostly because i’m such a people-pleaser. i also want to make sure he’s interesting enough to do his role justice...You should totally try it! I'll be honest -- there will be some pressure since he has to send people home and we'll need him for the entire RP. But, if you think you can do it, then go for it!!!

hm. food for thought. i’ll keep working on the other character i want to play while i mull this over.
thinking more about this, and having read your thoughts on the matter, i think i'll give it a go! i hope i can do the role justice. worst comes to worst, and he ends up rejected as the crown prince, i can probably modify him from that point into a selected or valet. thus, no harm will come from trying.Ah, I see! The people-pleasing aspect I totally get. Still, everyone here can be mature about it -- if someone's character is sent home, it's not personal. It's definitely not going to be easy... but having someone who will take it very seriously like you would be good! Anyways, whatever you decide is good by me! Glad to have you either way ^^

in other news, i've actually purchased the novel. i look forward to learning more about the world when i get around to reading it. in particular, i'm rather intrigued by the history, some of which i've spoiled myself to through the wiki. there seems to be a lot of lore to delve into, which i love. i'm super big on worldbuilding, so this is really making me excited. just thought i'd share. ^^
so far, i'm enjoying it! despite my love for darker themes, i'm an absolute sucker for romance, even when cheesy (hence why i'm here, haha). but i especially loved the gradual build-up to the introduction of the country's caste system. honestly, i think that's one of the most fascinating aspects of the book so far, aside from the drama caused by america's relationship with aspen. i'm excited to delve into this novel further. if it keeps up this interesting pace, i'll probably end up buying more of the books.Awesome! I look forward to seeing your take on the character.
And wow, that's so cool! It's definitely one of my favorite series... it's a bit cheesy with the romance at times but I love the world and the characters. The focus is, of course, more on the Selection and castes than anything else, but there's definitely some interesting history there. If you end up liking it, there's two other books in the series, as well as books about another character in the universe and short stories about many different character's experiences during the first three books (and some stuff from the past, too!) It's all pretty interesting.
I agree! I kinda put something out there, but I have really no idea what sort of character sheet you're going for. Could you please put one up?so far, i'm enjoying it! despite my love for darker themes, i'm an absolute sucker for romance, even when cheesy (hence why i'm here, haha). but i especially loved the gradual build-up to the introduction of the country's caste system. honestly, i think that's one of the most fascinating aspects of the book so far, aside from the drama caused by america's relationship with aspen. i'm excited to delve into this novel further. if it keeps up this interesting pace, i'll probably end up buying more of the books.
in the meantime, though, i'm still working on my two characters: a maid and the crown prince himself. i don't want to be too influenced by any characters from the book, as i want them to be entirely original, so i may force myself to finish them before i read any more. however, i'd really appreciate seeing a completed example of a character sheet before then. i have everything that's needed already written in a google doc, but i'm not sure what aesthetic you want the character sheets to be. should i just transfer everything to a character sheet code, regardless of the aesthetic?
i'm still so new to rpn; i don't know what the common courtesy is when it comes to this. ^^;
