Long ago in the time of humans a calamity brought about great change. The gates to the otherworld opened and demons of all kinds spewed forth into the human world. The demon king, Alateir, commanded his armies and began to take land from the humans. However, this was not all he took. He pillaged villages and took their women and turned the men to the fields as slaves. Hope for humanity began to fade.
As all of this was occurring, in the background there stirred a rebellion. It was not a human rebellion. Those with pointed ears, tusks, horns, tails, other-forms, and scales gathered together. They sought to help the humans despite the risk that they might encounter later from leaving the shadows. For so long they had stayed hidden and stuck to their realms, hidden islands, deep seas, and castles in the sky hidden by the clouds. Now, they banded together to defeat the demons which were a bigger threat than the weaker humans. Led by four generals each representing their races and sub-races, they revealed themselves to the humans and formed a weak alliance. Joined by a fifth general, a human noble of good heart, they overtook the demon king and the rest was set in history.
That was not where the story ended though. Soon it came to attention how the world changed. The witches had been consorting with the demon king and with the promise of more power than they could imagine, they opened the gates for him. Out of all the supernatural species, witches and their kin were exiled to an isolated land out to sea where they could be watched but kept away. What the generals didn't know was that the contract was already set in motion. The witches who had sealed the deal with the king turned into abominations due to their failure to assist the king in overthrowing the human world. They overpowered their escorts and escaped into the night. Those witches who didn't turn were given a choice....
The generals had the idea to start an association, after all, some of the witches did join in the fight against the demon army. Some thought that their treatment was unfair because few were not all. The association would have several purposes: prove the witches goodwill and innocence, end the demon threat, and create an organization that would be filled with executives of all races that would police discrimination and acts of violence. The association was named The Sacred Association by those who joined to assist. With this in mind, four witches stepped forward to save their race.. Now after many years of training, four new heroes trained by their predecessors will join with the new priestesses as partners and seek out the abominations to end it all and ensure the demon king never rises again.
