Age:

Appearance: Image or description.
  • Height:
  • Weight:

Mentality: (No heavy mental disorders please. And try to have originality. Not everyone is perfectly good, and not everyone is 100% evil.)

Backstory: (All characters must have spent the past 5 years in the hero academy. Our story begins with our heroes graduation so if you are one of main cast this is a must.)

Resources: Basically, money and the likes.

Equipment/Weaponry: Anything they use to fight that isn't their power. Guns do not exist neither do missiles. Common bombs yes, but bladed weapons, blunt weapons, and piercing weapons are used for monsters. They are entirely optional however, but keep in mind monsters are made from the same thing that gives us powers so you may want a backup...)

SUPERPOWERS
*This RP allows a maximum of up to 3-4 different superpowers. Power sets are good, but try to keep your powers themed. Don't try to have everything under the sun. No Mystical powers, no magical powers. If you cannot explain your ability with science it is not acceptable. Feel free to hit me up in OOC if you need help. Keep in mind your power may be claimed already by an NPC. I will pm you in that case.

Tier: Brass, Copper, Silver, Gold, Platinum - This is ultimately decided by the Gm & Co-Gm. The main cast will all be starting at brass.

Power:
  • Subpowers, usage, and description.

Power:
  • Subpower, usage, and description.
Power:
  • Subpower, usage, and description.

Catalysts: Anything that enhances the use of power at peak performance, or allows the user to go slightly beyond their maximum capabilities.

Weakness: Each power needs a weakness. Weaknesses are not limited - weaknesses are things that can hinder your character's superpowers. Please include REAL weaknesses. "Gets too angry" is not a real weakness, unless getting angry causes your character to bleed profusely. Power comes at a cost. The higher the power the stronger the weakness.

Skills: Skills are things that your character can do WITHOUT their superpowers. Things like martial arts, firearm usage, cooking, or even having a lot of knowledge about powers all go under skills.

STATISTICS (Characters begin with 25 points.10 is the current max per category. Certain things in story will allow you to increase these stats including natural growth, power augmentation, training, etc.)
Power:
The overall damage an ability is capable of doing. For powers that allow manipulation of mass greater than 250 kg, include maximum weight.

Speed: Movement speed, reaction times, and acceleration.

Defense: Total defensive properties of ability. Include how much force/energy/damage the character can withstand.

Versatility: The utility uses of a superpower. Not all powers are incredibly versatile, and versatility can vary among users of the same power.

Recovery/Resilience: A character's ability to recover from damage, whether this means to keep on fighting despite injuries or regenerating wounds, or even suppressing pain, write this here. This is different from defense, as this applies after the damage is done.

Energy: Include what type of energy (electrical, thermal, kinetic, gravitational, chemical), how much of it (no need for exact numbers), and for how long (in seconds, usually). This is especially important for things like energy manipulations.
manipulations.

You can thank D duegxybus for the Cs she did the legwork there. she is also my Co-GM and her word counts as mine.

you have 25 points to put in the "Numbers" section you will get more later as the story progresses.

HERO FILE DATA
BASIC INFORMATION
Name: Joseph Vecna "Gladiator"

Gender: Male

Age: 26yrs

Appearance:
gn23wsW.jpg

  • Height: 6ft 7in
  • Weight: 200lbs

Mentality: Joseph is an eccentric man, he views himself not as a human but as a hero. He thinks of civilians as fragile little things that need protecting, and other heroes he views as his comrades. He carries this ideal with him even in his own civilian life. But strangely enough this belief has not manifested in a friendly way. He resents civilians for their weakness, has nearly impossible to meet expectations for his fellow heroes, and is not afraid to kill villains as he sees them on the same grounds as monsters. To make matters worse the public still seems to love him, his aggressive style of heroics having become very popular in the newer generation. All in all this man suffers from a "god complex" viewing himself as a mighty benevolent figure. It is gonna take some real heavy reality checks to put this young man in his place.

Backstory: The birth of Joseph Vecna was one of the media's top stories 26 years ago. He was the offspring of a superhero power couple, Gold tier Hero Alan Vecna the Immortal, and Platinum tier hero Josephine Rykers The Valkyrie. Because of this he always felt as if he lived in their shadow, and in a way it was true. The whole of panorama city expected this kid to be the next great hero. He started training with under his mother in Boxing, Wrestling and various weapon techniques at the age of 6. Even before that his father had started teaching him to think outside of the box and figure out different solutions to a problem. It seemed destiny had given Joseph the label of hero before he even knew who he was.

Things continued like this for 7 years until when he was about to come of age for the hero academy tragedy struck. His father, The Immortal, had been killed. His life did a 180°, overnight his mother decided to retire, and that Joseph would never become a hero. He never stopped practicing what he had learned, but he himself was shook by his fathers death, so he accepted the change. Unfortunately the media didn't accept it. His families name was trampled when they decided their decision was made out of cowardice.

Eventually the rage died down, his family was left alone and he attended normal highschool taking an interest in music and theatre. For a while it was good, then at 19 it turned great. While visiting a bakery in sector __ There was a monster attack. Unfortunately the only hero nearby was a Brass rank hero with little experience. The hero was gored by the monster and it didn't look like there was any backup coming. So Joseph made the executive decision to intervene knowing his healing factor could at least buy some time. Much to his surprise his adrenaline began pumping and he got up to 7 PPm finding himself more than enough to drop the beast, doing so in 1 blow.

Shortly afterwards the media pressure started again. But this time Joseph made his own decision. He would not only be a hero but the best hero alive. He attended the 5 years of hero academy starting at age 20 and set several records in the academy due to his training and ambitious attitude of superiority. He was dubbed "Gladiator" at his graduation on account of his frequent use of his sword and his tendency to lock an opponent into 1 on 1 battles. The media has been all over him since his graduation.

Resources: Celebrity Status & Moderate wealth.

Equipment/Weaponry: berserk-guts-dragon-slayer-sword-black-blade-1.jpg
Great Cleaver- a Massive 6ft 6in greatsword which weighs 160lbs. Made out of Carapacite (a metal made from monster bones.) the blade is virtually indestructible and can survive being swing as hard as Joseph Can.

SUPERPOWERS

Tier: Brass

Power: Adaptive Regeneration
  • Joseph's body possesses a unique healing factor. It actually seems to learn growing stronger & faster over time the more damage it is forced to heal. At the current rate minor cuts & burns heal in 3-5 minutes. Broken bones and damaged organs heal in 2-6 hours. Limbs take about 2 days give or take a few hours. It also grants him an immunity to radiation, poison, venoms, toxins, ageing, and disease.

Power: Superhuman Adrenal Gland
  • Josephs Adrenaline grants a strange but potent boost to his physical capabilities. He can currently withstand only 10 PPM of the chemical (10 parts per million) This caps his strength out at 102.5 tons, his Durability At similar levels, his speed tops out at 93mph, his reflexes sit at .087 seconds. Each part per million grants him the following boost
  • Strength +100%
  • Durability +100%
  • Speed +25%
  • Reflexes +10%
Catalysts: Extreme emotional duress can cause his adrenaline to spike above his current 10PPM limit.

Weakness: As he uses his Superhuman adrenal gland his body undergoes severe strain. While his healing factor can repair the damage as it happens the higher the PPM the harder the healing must work. This is how his limits are presented, at 10 PPM his current level of regeneration cannot keep up and the damage begins to wear him down causing fatigue, physical injury ,& possible death if he goes too far.

Skills:
Joseph Was actually pretty well trained before he made it to the academy. He has spent nearly 19 years training in Boxing and Wrestling. He was also introduced to weapons training at an early age. Combat wise he is very adept but his strengths are actually in Tactics. He is an excellent strategist having been taught by his parents to think outside the box. He is no genius by any means, but those who think him to be a big dumb berserker are in for a rude awakening.

STATISTICS

Power: 1-10* (Joseph starts with the average human lifting power equal to his body weight of 200lbs. This doubles with each PPm of his adrenal chemical. To a current Max of 102.5 tons or 205,000lbs. To clarify no land vehicle exists that he cannot lift at his maximum output, even small Buildings like a 1 story house can be hefted onto his shoulders.)

Speed: 1-4* ( Joseph's speed like his strength starts at the average human level of 10mph running And his reflexes at .25 seconds. Each PPm of his adrenal chemical grants him +1/4 of his speed and -10% of his reaction time. His top speed is 93mph but with His reflexes he can react to swings most people wouldn't even see coming and respond with similar speeds.)

Defense: 1-10* (Joseph's durability is hard to measure. Unlike the other stats he modifies it has no quantifiable multiplier. The most accurate measure has been his strength. If he can lift 100 tons then it takes 100 tons to hurt him. So even at his maximum durability one can damage him of they can put enough force behind the blow.)

Versatility: 6 (Joseph can fill a wide assortment of roles, from stealth & infiltration, to anti tank, even anti building. He's a siege engine, a spy, a soldier, and a leader. Be that as it may there are still things he simply cannot do.)

Recovery/Resilience: 10* (Joseph's regeneration is very powerful at the start. However as he uses his adrenal power it slows down, eventually stopping altogether.)

Energy: 0 (Joseph has no energy based powers)

Just letting you know my guy is gonna be like the hulk. Tanky af with high strength durability regen speed and reflexes.

So uh... Dont make that.

Numbers section? Like the statistics?

EDIT: PS ... I need sleep ... will get back to you about what kinda character I have in mind when i have enough mind to character.

Also for the record you guys dont need to put all the math in there like i did. Im just a schtichler for the science.

Me: *describes tensile strength of characters skin and does the math for sharp weapons*

If you need stuff for sharps, reaction times, and durability, just let me know lol

Reaction time is the .01 second. His sword isnt really that sharp just big heavy and hard af.

I could use some durability numbers though. His strength sits at 102 tons so id like to keep the durability in that ballpark.

BASIC INFORMATION
Name:
Emilia & Jack Donovan

Gender: Female & Male

Age: Both are 16, being twins

Appearance:
a98fb807d251d8f0cb71e4e32e02df1b.jpg

  • Height: Both are 5'4" (Emilia is wearing heels)
  • Weight: Both are ~120 lbs (Emilia is usually slightly lighter than Jack, unless it's just after a meal)

Mentality: Emilia is largely ambivalent about the whole hero role. She believes in strength, so if a person is unable to defend themselves it is their own fault for not being born with strength or seeking it out. However, she enjoys exploring the full capabilities of her power and her own creativity, and if helping others is a way to get to use her power in a variety of ways so be it. Jack is largely the same, but he mostly just wants to fight. Monsters, villains, hell he wouldn't mind fighting a hero if the occasion for it came up. Raven would probably slap him if he ever said that aloud though. That's the kind of thinking that created their father.

Backstory: Emilia and Jack are twins, and progeny of the supervillain "Crow". There is little doubt that they would have been raised into the next generation of dangerous supervillains, had their older half-brother Raven not risen up and consumed their father. Raven has gone on to become a rather famous hero, both lauded and criticized for his (some say overly) brutal approach to dealing with villains. Sharing their father's blood, the twins have inherited his power as well, but Raven has all but forbidden them from using them. He wishes for them to live normal lives, to never get wrapped up in the stupid games of heroes and villains that only serve to create more monsters like their father. But of course no kid is going to listen to something like that when the alternative is testing the limits of their growing superpowers. So long as Raven doesn't find out, everything is fine.

Resources: Their brother, both as a threat to use on bad guys and a source of knowledge, so long as they aren't too obvious. They also get a pretty generous allowance, but to use it on hero stuff might be pushing it. Raven might not pay the closest attention to the twins' actions, but he certainly isn't stupid.

Equipment/Weaponry: If they need something that isn't too complicated, they'll just use their power to make it. If it's too technical to create, they might be able to get it from Raven, maybe.

SUPERPOWERS

Hero Name: Conspiracy

Tier: Brass

Power: Dark Energy
  • The twins are able to manifest and manipulate a pure black energy. They use this for just about everything, from covering their body with it for defense and to conceal their identity, shooting it out to attack, and even making physical constructs out of it (Jack likes making swords to fight with). While the exact properties of the energy varies greatly, it generally mimics the properties of whatever form it is taking (black water is wet, black fire burns, a black sword is sharp).
Power: Crow/Raven Manifestation
  • The only "living" form they are able to create using dark energy, the birds display some limited intelligence of their own. When the twins tested this part of their powers they figured out that the crows obey their commands, with the creator's order overriding the other's, they can see what the birds see, and that pitting the birds against each other makes for a really fun Pokemon copyright infringement (Emilia won their first battle by making her raven breathe fire at Jack's armored crow, which he still claims was cheating).
Power: Transformation
  • By covering their physical body with dark energy, they can then transform that energy to alter their form. Transforming into a bird to fly over the city, or a monster to terrify some thugs, or a snake to hide somewhere creative from Raven when he wants them to do some chores around the house. Note that even when transformed, their physical body is still somewhere inside there, so they will still feel and take damage, even if it doesn't show. A fun application of this is moving their body through shadows as dark energy. Needless to say, they are a nightmare to deal with in the dark without a whole lot of flashlights.
Power: Soul Sharing
  • Emilia and Jack "share a soul" or something like that. It's something their crazy father said apparently, but the two certainly have a powerful bond. They can speak to each other telepathically across any distance, and they can share other things as well, from thoughts to feeling, even what they're seeing. They've even fully swapped bodies on at least one occasion. Either one can conceal themselves entirely inside the other's shadow, and this is generally how they are when playing hero. One acts as the body, they think and act together, splitting focus when necessary, swapping who is acting as the body if they get hurt.

Catalysts: It's less of an enhancement and more of a condition for them to fully use their power, but the twins must be together in order to access the majority of their power. The closer they are the stronger they are, which is why they generally use only one body when acting as a hero. And while it doesn't increase their power level any, each of the twins tends to go a bit crazy when you hurt the other.

Weakness: Their dark energy reacts to light how physical objects might react to extreme wind, with stronger light sources having a stronger effect. A bright enough light source can even erode physical constructs like Jack's swords. Light might be their most abundant and easily available weakness, but their most potent weakness is silver. Pure silver destroys their dark energy with barely any resistance, and getting hit by an attack containing pure silver disrupts their power.

Skills: Jack has been trained by Raven in self-defense, "basic" weapons training covering everything from knives to swords and even how to properly use or deal with explosives. He has a personal soft spot for anything a medieval knight might have used. Jack is also highly sociable and good at talking to and dealing with strangers, is practiced in all forms of classical dance, and can cook on par with a five star chef. Emilia is by comparison very lazy, spending most of her time playing games or reading books (all fiction of course). She puts in the minimum work necessary to keep her body fit so that if she needs to defend herself Jack can take control and put his own talents to use.

STATISTICS
As Emilia and Jack tend to act in tandem, I've listed each's stats in the form of (Emilia | Jack). Their effective values will range between the two depending on who is more in control.
Power: 1|5
Emilia is not physically strong at all. She has no muscle to speak of, and even compared to a random person on the street would probably be overpowered. Thankfully Jack is not only physically stronger, he's also skilled in ways of fighting that don't rely on physical superiority so he can always come to his sister's rescue.
Speed: 3|5
Emilia is a quick thinker and has relatively good reaction times. But again Jack outshines her. He is much faster physically, and at least when it comes to fighting he's usually thinking a few seconds into the future and relying on instincts to course correct. The boy is a fighter through and through, without any doubt.
Defense: 3|2
Emilia is generally pretty good at using dark energy to protect herself, but because the energy wants to mimic something real, it's generally much easier to launch a powerful attack than it is to throw up an effective defense. Jack doesn't care much for defense, also preferring to just hit fast and hit hard. Besides, even if he gets hurt he can just have Emilia carry him back.
Versatility: 10|6
Finally it's Emilia's time to shine. The things she can create and do with their power is only limited by her own vast creativity and their self-imposed bird theme. Dark energy might mimic it's shape, but it that shape doesn't have to be based in reality, as she's shown by turning Jack's sword into a sword of black lighting, turning a created raven into a hellish dragon-demon monstrosity ("CHEATING!"~Jack), and disintegrating the wall of a building using a "black hole cherry bomb". She seems to enjoy stealing ideas from her books and games. Jack can technically do all the same things, but he isn't nearly as creative.
Recovery/Resilience: 1|3
They don't have much in terms of recovery. Jack is stubborn enough to take a few hits before needing to switch out, but that's about it. Since they're usually running around as one body to act as a hero, to basically have to treat them like a boss with two health bars. The fight isn't over until both are down.
Energy: 8|4
Another example of Jack technically being able to to everything Emilia can but not having the creativity and skill to do so. So long as they are together, and it isn't high noon, their dark energy isn't likely to dry up quickly. Emilia is much more efficient using the power due to a better understanding of how various forms will interact. For example when they were training using their power Emilia was able to delicately carve a rock into a statue of a crow (which she gave to Jack) by shifting dark energy between a liquid and solid form. Jack just blasted his rock with a bunch of black lighting until it blew up.

It looks good but there are no guns at all. Other than that i have no issues good job on them :)

Oh, and if anyone wants to work with the current hero Raven or the now-deceased villain Crow for any reason feel free. I imagine Raven would be brought up in the same kind of discussions as Joseph due to their similar overkill methods of dealing with villains. His power involves a more metallic theme mixed with the whole bird motif. He's best known for looking like some kind of dark angel when he shows up due to his wings. He uses feathers and chains to fight. The Murderous Crow was known for taking on a monstrous demonic crow-like form with incredible strength, creating unnatural dark flames, summoning a storm of smaller crows, and impaling even physically durable heroes with razor-sharp feathers.

What rank hero?

What rank hero?
I figured I'd leave that up to you, but probably at the very least Silver? The guy's speed and defense would be pretty high, but the only reason he was able to take out a villain as strong as his father when he was younger is due to his guard being down and taking advantage of his weakness.

I can pm you if you want him to have a platinum tier hero mentor. They will likely become relevant in arc 2

No idea what that entails, but I'm always down to yank on some intrigue when it's presented before me.

Oh and he would be silver rank with those capabilities if he has less than 3 years experience. Gold if more than 3 years.
I guess he'd be Gold then.
The working timeline of the twins has Raven killing their father 12 years ago, when he was just 13 and the twins were just 4 (basic math tells me that makes Raven 25). He then became a hero a few years later, after confessing the events of his father's death to people who made sure he wasn't punished in any way, so he's been a hero for give or take 7ish years probably.
