Fandom The Riders of Berk

Flint chuckled at the dragon peering over his shoulder. "she really is friendly." he said, and hit her weak spot with a scratch. Presuming she suffers the same weakness of chin scratches. Flints sketch was, to this point, the wings of a dragon. Once it is Finished, it would be Venice. "I see sketch things I see. I'm running out of pages I this, though. I need another book." Flint would explain for lock, who had simply tilted his head at the question he was asked.

Autumn brought her gaze to look back at Venice, grin spread across her freckled cheeks. "Isn't it great to be different?" she murred, locking eyes with her dragon. She meandered over to her beast and scratched behind her ears, giggling slightly when the massive dragon seemingly purred. Autumn hugged Venice, ruffling her fur before turning away. It was nice to see that Venice wasn't the only dragon who was seemingly the only one of her kind. She could feel that Venice liked the fact that her struggles were shared, and that she wasn't fighting that battle alone.

(Sorry, was insanely busy with drill for the Nat. Guard today)

Manjano smirked slightly when he heard Keani's question and saw Ice's ears perk up. He then replied, "Sky." Kurt snorted at this and then knelt down before Manjano climbed onto his back and secured himself in the saddle. Kurt slowly stood back up and then looked over at Ice, silently observing him. Manjano followed Kurt's movements, except he looked at Keani.

Falarion's eyes rolled up as she slumped forward and landed in a heap on the ground beside the small group. Lea giggled at her dragon's reaction and then heard Flint's response to her question. Lea's eyes lit up at his lack of paper and she bounded over to Falarion's side, digging through the saddle bags. Not too long after doing so, Lea stood up with a leather-bound sketchbook in hand. It was in fact, an extra sketchbook that Lea had handy and she had a ton at home so she was more than willing to part with one. Walking over to Flint's side, she kneeled down and then held out the book towards Flint while grinning. "I have a ton back home, you can have this one!" She exclaimed with a twinkle in her eye.

"oh. Thank you." Flint said, smiling up to her as he accepted the book. "you're also an artist?" he enquired. Lock wandered over and ran his tongue up lea's back. "well, lock likes you. That's a good sign."

Keani smiled and uttered a short command. Ice tensed her legs, then exploded into the sky. She unfurled her four wings and beat them powerfully as the pair waited for their newest partners. Keani sat proudly on her back, the wind that had been picking up more and more as they spoke now aiding her in keeping her hair and the chains braided into them out of her face. Ice sized up the male dragon below her as they flew up into the sky, her eyes as well as her owner's as cold as the dragon's name implied.

While it seemed everyone was off doing something, Autumn and her dragon simply kept eachother company. The girl shrugged her shoulders and meandered over to Venice, standing in front of her dragon for a moment before falling forward. The dragon caught the girl with her large head, the fluff of her neck acting like a big soft pillow. Autumn gently stroked her dragon's large ears, scratching the ridiculously soft fluff. Venice purred again, the rumble shaking the ground and Autumns body. The girl giggled, snickering as the dragon bobbed it's head which sent Autumn flying onto her soft fluffy back. She continued her giggles, sprawling out on her beast's pillowy backside. The girl sighed, gazing at the sky.

Manjano pressed his legs gently against Lirt's sides, to which Kurt responded with spreading his multicolored wings before he took to the sky, flying up until he was even with Ice and Keani. Manjano and Kurt matched Keani's and Ice's cold gazes before Manjano nodded at her, his way of saying let's begin.

Lea grinned at Flint and was about to say yes when Lock licked her back. Giggling, she put her hand on Lock's muzzle and said, "Oh gee, thanks, Lock. It's nice to meet you too." She then removed her hand as Falarion joined her side, snorting at Lea. Lea grinned and went to one of the saddle bags before retrieving an old-looking sketchbook. It was her favorite one since she always found the sketches in it to be the best she'd ever done. They were a mix of dragon sketches and people sketches. Walking over to Flint again, Lea then sat down beside him, a mere few inches away from him. She then held out her sketchbook towards him and said, "Yeah, I'm an artist as well. Want to look at some of my work?" She warmly smiled at him while waiting for his response.

Keani nodded in response before she pressed her knee into Ice. The dragon responded by dropping slightly so she was below the dragon, then took off quickly.

Flint had continued to sketch as Lea went to her dragon to collect her sketchbook. Once she returned and offered for him to examine her work, lock had tried to sneak away. "one moment. Lock!" lock suddenly turned and bounded towards the pair, stopping fairly close to them. Flint pet the ground next to him. Lock, not at all happy about all this, lay down there. Flint scratched locks weak spot to incapacitate him for a while now he could respond to Lea. "I would love to have a look at what magnificent drawings you have produced." he held out his own book to her, as he accepted hers. "care to scream at my unfinished abominations?" he asked, also smiling warmly.

(I've fallen ill. I'll be off for a bit so just continue on without me)

Manjano grinned slightly at Keani's response and leaned back on Kurt, as he promptly performed a falling backflip before twisting midfall so he was directly behind Ice and Keani. Kurt soon was beating his wings and, at the moment, was keeping up with the dragon and his rider. Manjano narrowed his eyes, watching Keani and Ice and waiting for their response. After all, his fighting technique relied solely on counter attacking his opponents.

Lea giggled at Flint before returning the warm smile and saying, "I highly doubt they're that bad." She then accepted his sketchbook, though she giggled again at Lock's incapacitating. Returning her focus to Flint's sketchbook, Lea opened the book to its first page while Falarion curiously gazed over her shoulder.

Flint collected the tube mounted to locks saddle, and lay it between him and Lea. He removed the cap and the owl popped it's head out curiously. She then bounded from the tubed and doubled back, leaping into flints lap. Flint chuckled and helped the owl onto his shoulder, where she sat happily and prepared to sleep, since it was day. Flint then opened Lea's sketchbook.

On the first page of flints sketchbook, was this.

(I drew this myself. :3 I need to work on my feathers. They suck.)

Ice and Keani were heading towards the rocks, and they soon started weaving in and out of structures, going through some areas purposefully that would be too small for Kurt unless he tucked in his wings.

Autumn was nearly asleep when she felt Venice start shaking. Just like before her shaking was violent, her entire body quaking. "Oh Venice, not again." Autumn murmured, shooting upwards to gently pet the neck off her beast. "What's wrong?" Autumn asked in a whisper, looking to the sky. Venice could sense there was something really wrong, and Autumn was noticing it too. Gently she raised the Dragon to the sky to get a better view, but what she saw certainly was something she wished she hadn't. In the distance upon the ocean massive black clouds roll in, bringing with them lightening and several twisters that had touched down onto the water. Venice roared in warning, hoping someone would head her call.

Manjano frowned at Ice's agileness and silently directed Kurt to fly above the formations. Kurt then flipped upside down and began flying this way so that Manjano could keep an eye on the weaving dup below. Since the pair of riders and dragons had quickly left the group behind, they heard no warning cry.

Lea glanced away from the sketchbook before she could fully register the drawing. Hearing the sound of small claws and a chirp, Lea's eyes lit up at the sight of the elf owl before her. Her grin broadened at the sight of such a cute little owl and she slowly extended a hand before stopping beofre she touched the little thing. After all, it had never met her before. Looking at Flint, Lea gave him an inquisitive look before asking softly, "Who's your little friend?" She was so absorbed in the little owl that she paid no heed to the warning cry. Since Falarion's rider stayed calm, she assumed the cry from above was nothing to be concerned with.

Vehicle's quivering wings could barely hold the pair. "Venice, you gotta be brave." Autumn assured, doing all she could to keep herself come. The thunder neared, the deadly winds audible from their distance. Shelter was needed, and they needed to get as far away from the shore as possible. The clouds roared, ripping the skies open with their sound and might. Above the once bright skies darkened. Was anybody listening? Did they understand the danger? If they didn't get going now disaster was sure to strike. Venice let out an ear piercing screech, her fear obvious. Autumn commanded her Dragon to spit a ball of electric fire into the sky as a warning signal for the fliers before the pair plummeted to the ground. Venice bounded over to the pair sharing sketches, skidding to a halt as the dust gathered around the two. "We need to go." Autumn demanded, trying to hide her concern.

"this is chip." Flint said. Chip looked at Lea's hand from her one legged sleeping position. Hidden from Lea's view at the moment, because of the angle, was chips burnt wing. Chip suddenly shrank to half her size when the warning cry sounded. Flint also reacted to the cry. "that sounded like Venice." he said. He closed the sketchbook he held and picked up the tube to allow chip to climb back in. He capped it and mounted it back on locks saddle. Lock was by now recovering from his 'incapacitation' and was becoming more alert. The plasma bolt boomed like thunder and lit the sky like a smaller second d sun. "I think it would be wise if we got airborne, Lea." Flint said. Flint began to act faster as he mounted himself on the saddle. He waited for Lea, then Venice and autumn landed. "we were beginning to get that. What's going on?" he asked autumn.

Autumn took a breath, shaking her head. "It's the perfect storm out there, Flint. As far as I can see there are twisters forming everywhere, and those clouds are rolling in fast." She spoke, her body shaking as the words fumbled out of her mouth. "I fear a few will become waterspouts. It is not safe to be here, we need to find shelter." She told him, a massive gust of wind blasting the trio, causing her hair to whip in the wind. It was only going to get worse, and the girl knew that. Venice reared up, letting out another mighty roar that shook the ground. "I need to fly up there and warn the others, but at the speed that storm is coming I can only fear the worst."

Ice flew faster, and ducked her head down. She blasted the rock formation behind her and the debris flew towards Kurt and his rider. Ice flew a little faster, and she flew lower among the rock formations.

Manjano continued to stay calm, simply pulling on the side of Kurt to cause him to do a barrel roll to avoid the rock debris. Upon finding an opening in between the rock formations, Kurt promptly dove, aiming to tackle Ice and Keani into the ocean below them. Though...why was the ocean so rily? These thoughts were quickly pushed aside in Manjano's mind as he refocused on the training.

Lea was about to giggle at the adorable reaction from Chip when she was terrified of a shriek from above. Now Lea reacted by looking up and seeing Autumn and Venice's sharp descent. Falarion felt her rider's unease and quickly shot to her feet before gently nudging Lea's back with her snout. Lea put her hand on Falarion's muzzle in a calming manner before putting Flint's sketchbook away in her saddlebag and then climbing onto her saddle. Lea abruptly broke into a small coughing fit when Venice landed, causing a small dust cloud to settle. She then recovered and nodded at Flint. She then looked back at Autumn and listened to what she said before the realization dawned on her. "Manjano!" She shouted this while her eyes went wide and her heart raced in fear for her twin brother's safety.

Autumn heard Lea's call, and shook her head. "I must be crazy." the girl muttered, shaking her head. "Hold on." she called, having to yell now over the storm. Without any warning Venice swiftly extended her wings and took to the sky, fighting against the wind. Her Dragon puffed fire balls into the air, hoping to attract some sort of attention. The rain was harsh and whipped the pair, the cold winds chilling the girl to the bone. "Manjano! Keani!" She screamed through the storm, her visibility next to nothing. The rains had come so quickly there was barely any time to prepare. The drops smashed into her hair and face, cascading down her cheeks and neck. Autumn could see the oncoming twisters and knew she needed to get the others out soon, or else death would most definitely become of them. Her Dragon roared in discomfort, the pain of fighting the wind obvious in her actions. It wouldn't be long before Venice couldn't handle it anymore, and the two would fall to the ground.
