Fandom The Riders of Berk

Ice grumbled softly when I nudged her, and she slowly sauntered over to go to Lock. She forced part of a fish back up and let it roll off her tongue in front of him as an apology. I stood and drew my blade. "I'm going to go train. You can join me if you like."

((Shall my twins make their appearance...or at least their intro post?))

((Quick question, what time of the day is it currently?))

Leandra and Manjano simultaneously sighed, having exhausted themselves for the day with their training. Their dragons followed suit as they both were splayed out on the training grounds with the twins. Leandra's dragon's wings occasionally lit up with weak electricity while Manjano's dragon's body slowly engulfed itself in green flames, as it began to heal itself from its muscle fatigue. With the training done for the day, everyone planned n catching their breaths before taking flight for their recovery time. Perhaps if they were lucky, they'd finally run into some other dragon riders. The twins never seemed to have such luck, but perhaps today would be their day.

After Manjano's dragon, Kurt, had finally healed himself and then proceeded to heal everyone else, the twins stood up and grinned to one another as they walked to their dragons. As a sign of both respect and trust, the twins simultaneously looked into their dragons' eyes before they each received a grunt, which was their dragons' way of saying you may mount. The twins then eagerly mounted their dragons, Falarion and Kurt. Falarion was an ebony Skrill with golden-laced, glowing wings, body, and eyes. Falarion let out a low sneeze, releasing some plasma in the midst of it and causing Leandra to giggle. Manjano's dragon, Kurt, was a Fireheart, one of a kind. The twins had never read of one in the Book of Dragons and so they presumed that Kurt was the last of his kind. Kurt was silent as Manjano mounted him, matching the twin's calm composure and silence.

Not too long after, they were all in the air, gliding towards the big island where most of the dragon riders lived. Not too long after flying over the shore, they spotted a pair of dragon riders and their dragons. Not wanting to cause any distress, they glided down nearby, landing quietly with a hushed rumble in the ground. The twins dismounted their dragons before walking to the edge of the clearing where the riders and their dragons were. Since Manjano rarely spoke, Lea spoke up to the riders, "Uh, hey. My brother and I have never seen riders out here before." She quickly added, "Oh, and my name's Leandra. My silent brother over there is Manjano."

((Those moments where you have sudden and random inspiration to write really long posts... xD ))

Venice was floating above the water, seemingly riderless. She let out a sudden roar, her lungs rumbling so loud that the water below her rippled. The Dragon dove for her rider her was carelessly swimming about, splashing the salt water around with no apparent goal of where it was to land. Venice outstretched her front arms, snatching Autumn under her armpits, before swinging the girl onto her saddled back. "Hey, Venice. Come on dude, that's jus-"

The girl was cut short when she spotted what Venice had been riled over. Two dragon riders seemingly coming from nowhere had arrived and at this distance she wasn't positive that they would be to friendly. A electricity engulfed flame ball gurgled in her dragon's throat, but with an assuring tap on the head Autumn made her swallow it down. Her descent would be silent and slow towards the pair, since the uncertainty and clear nervousness could be felt from her dragon. The long sleek body of the beast continued to tense as they neared.

Lock ignored the piece of fish, preferring to eat his own catch. Flint put eyes to the sky as he caught a glimpse of two dragons above. He called lock over and tacked him up when he finally came. Then they headed to the clearing. Flint allowed chip back to her tube and put the tube in its mount on locks saddle. He then greeted the two. "greetings, and welcome to the party. My name is Flint, and my dragons name is lock." lock gave a toothless grin to the newcomers. "I'm here because I'm travelling. I'm looking for a new place to live."

Ice dove in front of Keani, snarling as she wrapped herself slightly so Keani was surrounded by a half moon of Icewind in front of her. She felt it was different when Keani was on her back, and they could take to the sky quickly, but her rider wasn't, and she was going to protect her. Keani climbed onto Ice's back to calm the dragon, a calming hand on the beasts neck. Keani was just as ready to depart as Ice was, as she was unsure of these two strangers. Ice kept snarling, her large teeth bared and her body tense, as if ready to spring.

The twins exchanged a glance, their unique white hair glowing in the setting sun's light. Leandra looked back at the group, finding the boy named Flint to be the only real friendly one there. She smiled warmly at him and said, "Nice to meet you, Flint" she then looked over at Lock "and Lock." Falarion, Lea's dragon, crawled forward, her eyes full of curiosity as her ears flickered about and watched Lock. She heard Ice snarling and shrank away from her, Falarion's ears pinning against her head. Nervously, Falarion bounded over to Lock, who seemed friendly enough, and hid behind him before cautiously peering out at Ice. Manjano and Kurt remained silent and Kurt didn't seem fazed at all by Ice's snarling. He calmly glanced at Ice with a twinge of curiosity, but didn't leave his rider's side. Leandra giggled at Falarion's reactions and then said to Flint, "Sorry about Falarion, she's extremely nice and very trusting of others except for dragons that are defensive of either themselves or their riders...or just plain out being mean or whatever She hates bad people and bad dragons almost as much as I do. Anyhow, she looks scarier and meaner than she actually is, which is a tad unusual for a Skrill. That's probably my fault with how I raised her." She glanced back at her brother, who seemed content to be silent, which was nothing new.

Venice's descent was smooth. She was silent, her wings completely noiseless as she glided down. She landed on the ground with a silent thud, pinning her ears to her head as she slowly crept towards the newcomers. She was reluctant, but Autumn urged her forward, pressing her legs confidently to the dragon's sides. Venice grunted, narrowing her eyes as Flarion and Kurt, and then Manjano and Leandra. It wasn't a threat, more of an assurance that the two wouldn't decide to react harshly. Luckily for Autumn and Venice, it seemed no stranger they stumbled upon decided to make any rash movies. The girl cleared her throat, rubbing her arm awkwardly, trying to figure out how to make her introduction. She inhaled to speak, "My name is-". Autumns voice cracked rather loudly. She pressed her lips into a line and shook her head, before restarting. "My name is Autumn, and this here is Venice." she said, making her introduction short and sweet.

Flint just watched these events unfold around him. Locks eyes were also filled with curiosity towards Falarion. He turned to face her and Flint walked down locks back and hopped off. "not a problem. Lock is also quite trusting of strangers. I'd give you an example but he might stab his tongue on one of her spikes. I can introduce him to you, though." he offered.

Keani watched the pair for a moment. "This is Icewind. My name is Keani. She doesn't like strangers much..." she said simply, the chains in her hair clinking in the light breeze that flowed through the area. She kept a calming hand on Ice, her posture perfect and her mere presence seeming to radiate with power and confidence.

Lea glanced over at Autumn and Venice when they made their appearance and then gave Autumn a warm smile when she introduced herself and her dragon. Lea nodded and said, "Nice to meet you, Autumn" she then glanced at Venice, making sure to not look directly in her eyes since she seemed nervous "and Venice." Glancing back at Autumn, Lea added, "You have a beautiful and unique dragon, much like my brother." Upon hearing Flint, Lea looked over at him and grinned when she heard that Lock may stab his tongue on Falarion's spikes. "Perhaps it's best if we avoid anyone getting stabbed," she said, almost giggling. Hearing Keani's introduction of herself and her dragon, Lea grinned at her and said, "Nice to meet you two. If that's truly the case with your dragon, then my brother will get along with her well. If you can't tell by his silence, he also doesn't trust that easily." She glanced back at him before looking back at the group and adding, "I personally think he's just shy though." Manjano nearly face palmed at this, as the latter part was true. He'd never met so many new riders and dragons at one time. It felt a bit overwhelming to him and Kurt could feel his unease. Kurt shook his head and let out a puff of smoke, sharing his rider's sense of unease.

(This is just a Introduction....sorry i took so long was busy >_<)

Autumn just chuckled, shaking her head. "She is indeed. Wish I had some more information about her. The book of dragons... it... doesn't really provide any information on her or her kind. A shame really, I'd like to know so much more." the girl paused, sighing silently. "And your brother... I suppose he has run into the same issue. Bonding with some mysterious breed?" she questioned, patting the head of her Dragon. "I mean, I wouldn't change it for the world, but it's truly unfortunate to think she may be the only one of her kind." Autumn stated, shrugging her shoulders as her bright gaze surveyed Manjano's dragon, Kurt.

Keani nodded slowly. Ice walked over slowly to the new boy, Keani on her back. Keani held out her hand for him to shake as Ice sniffed the dragon curiously, still tense. The chains in Keani's hair clinked as Ice moved.

Lea smiled at what Autumn said and nodded in agreement. "Yeah, my brother's dragon is. Fireheart, or at least that's what we call him. He's not in the Book of Dragons at all. My brother and Kirt get along surprisingly well for a dragon we know close to nothing about."

Watching Ice and Keani approach him, Manjano turned towards the dragon and rider, Kurt slowly turning his head to look at the pair. Manjano was slightly surprised by the hand extended towards him, but he said nothing as he took her hand, assuming she meant it to be a handshake. Kurt was still as Ice sniffed him. He watched Ice carefully, his eyes showing his curiosity while his overall composure was calm. He returned the sniffing action, though he ended it by puffing out some green smoke at Ice, in a curious manner.

Venice grunted, letting out a soft huff of smoke as she moved her way around the group, circling largely, her defensive demeanor slowly wearing off. There was no doubt the dragon was still on guard, but she wouldn't let things startle her. Autumn brushed a nervous hand through her hair, halting her dragon. She slid down Venice's side, her boots thudding on the ground as she landed. She brushed any dust off of her and walked forward, careful to make her actions slow and non-threatening. Smoothly, with Venice following close behind, she approached Kurt and his rider ever so slowly, more interested in the dragon then the person for the time being. When close enough to his snout she extended her hand, before holding it in place and locking eyes with Manjano, her bright gaze flickering with curiosity. When she spoke, her voice was different. Calm and sweet.

"May I?"

Ice puffed hot air back at him. "Would you like to train with me?" Keani asked him, keeping a calming hand on Ice's neck. She made a soft purring sound, she really liked to train. Keani waited for an answer as Ice continued to sniff the strange dragon, nostrils flaring.

Eventually, Flint collected a notebook and charcoal pencil from his gear which was nearby in the clearing. He lay with his back against a tree as he began sketching. Lock still looked at the Skrill with a curious gaze. He had never seen such a dragon in his lifetime, so he was fascinated.

Manjano was silent as he watched Autumn approaching him and Kurt. Since Manjano was calm, so was Kurt and he watched Autumn and Venice making their approach. Kurt glanced sideways at Manjano and he subtly nodded. Kurt then looked back at Autumn and sniffed her hand before lightly pressing his snout against her hand. His eyes stayed open the whole time as he watched her and then he pulled away and puffed out some green smoke at Autumn, much like he did to Ice. Manjano glanced over at Keani when she asked him if he wanted to train and, even though Lea and him had trained earlier, he was more than willing to train again. He nodded at her question, though he was a bit unsure of how she wanted to train.

Falarion saw Flint sketching something and slowly crept out from behind Lock, slowly approaching Flint. Once she was within a foot or two of Flint, Falarion slowly peered over his head, looking at what he was drawing upside-down. She snorted at him, blinking before continuing to look at the drawing out of pure curiosity. Lea giggled at Falarion's actions and then looked over at Lock before asking him, "Hey, Lock. Is your rider an artist or something?" She grinned at Lock, already knowing the answer, but still finding it amusing to talk to the dragon.

Keani nodded slightly. "Ground or sky? I need to work on both eventually, so your choice..." she said calmly, keeping a steady hand on Ice to keep her calm. She heard the word sky and started getting antsy, wanting to fly. Her ears pricked slightly as if waiting for his decision.

(Sorry these are short, I'm trying but my laptop crashed so I'm on my phone for a bit.)
