Fandom The Riders of Berk

Keani started having Ice fly around, and after a few minutes, went limp on Ice's back while she was flying through two pillars of stone. Ice immediately flipped on let Keani fall a few feet to grab her in her claws, hiding the girl entirely in her large claws. Ice flew to land back where they had all met before, standing on her back legs to set Keani down gently. She landed on all fours then and she smiled, standing. "Good girl..." Keanj rubbed her nose and got back into the saddle, flying back up to the male, who Keani couldn't remember the name of

"Steady" Autumn whispered, looking down at her dragon. She twiddled her fingers into the thick fur of her beast, getting a better grip. It was clear the pair didn't want to leave, but they needed to. The girl readied herself for Venice's lunge, the thing the odd dragon was most known for. The girl counted down in her head, and on cue as she mouthed the number one, the dragon jerked forward, a massive thrust followed by a tuck of the wings. Behind her, the trees bent with the immense pressure of the wind, the area exploding with the vibrant colors of her dragon. The sky illuminated before dulling as Venice untucked her wings and flew back on course, her speed something to admire.

"We're not finished here." Autumn whispered to her companion.

Flint observed Keani's method, making notes. When she and her dragon returned, he said "that's good for if you pass out from lack of food or exhaustion or something of the like. But what if you were being chased?"

Keani smirked playfully. "Chase me and find out..." she said, smirking more. She turned Ice about and the pair took flying, going lower towards the ground until he followed. "Are you coming or no?" She called, not caring either way, really. She loved flying like this, especially fast and close to ground. It added to the thrill.

The dragon descended when they had arrived at their home, the stables wide open for the pair to make a safe landing. Autumn hopped off her beast, walking to the tack room that was only a little ways away. She searched briefly, before finding her saddle, the one she had made herself, on it's stand where it should be. She took it along with the reins she had specially designed for her dragon, giving her complete control over the beast. She tacked her dragon up, tightening all straps, before hopping up onto the beast's back. Venice reared, letting out a mighty roar that echoed for miles upon miles. "Good girl" whispered Autumn, before a swift kick of her legs.

The dragon took to the sky within seconds, performing some astounding acrobatics before diving to the forest below. The massive beast was able to dodge the trees with Autumns command, swiveling in and out of the dense forestry. Autumn laughed, before removing her legs from the stirrups of her saddle and standing on her dragons back, leaning which way to go as they dodged through the trees. Autumn yelled in excitement, a grin spread wide on her face.

By the time ice had turned around, lock would have already been diving rapidly towards them. The chase was already on. Flint had a confident smirk on as he gripped the saddle.

"I thought this was supposed to be a chase?" She called back with a laugh, urging Ice on faster. Ice started doing manuvering procedures, and he lost sight entirely of Ice, and Keani was on Lock's back a moment later. She tapped his back. "By the way, you'd be dead..." she winked and ran off the tail of Lock, jumping into the air and landing on Ice's back.

It didn't take Autumn long to catch wind of the two she had previously met. They were seemingly playing games, and Autumn could feel Venice's excitement building inside her. "How about we show em how it's done?" she asked, still riding the beast standing upright. She didn't seem scared, or at a loss of balance. She simply stood upon the dragon's back, her posture perfect, her hair whipping behind her in the wind. Autumn took her massive hairpins out, the wing structures heavy in her hand. She pushed them into the lock mechanism's on the odd looking saddle, and clockwerk cogs and gears emerged, pushing what looked like two massive metal wings from the back of the large saddle. Autumn simply grinned. She had worked so hard on this, and she knew it was going to work this time. She was in control of the second wings, the ones that sprouted from her dragon's lower back. She sat back down on the saddle, this time her feet in two spinning foot holds. She begun pumping, like a bike, and behind her the wings begun to flap. Almost immediately the already fast dragon near tripled in speed. Autumn couldn't contain her excitement. She yelled once again, her arms in the air, her achievement glorious. She had made something that no one had dared to attempt, and now was the time the ultimate test would succeed.

A swift movement of her legs and Venice rose from the trees. The two dragons were just ahead. "Full speed, V." Autumn whispered, before the dragon took off. She was a streak of Orange, Pink, and Blue across the sky, darting past the two dragons. She knew the wings would overheat after a while, but for now she would test what they could take. The speed caused tears to cloud her eyes. She pulled down her goggles, lowering further onto her dragon's back to feel her motions. She timed the thrusts perfectly, holding on as tight as she could as the pair dashed upon the dusking sky.

(I feel like we should state whether it is alright for the others to move on or if they should wait when we post about leaving, however in this case we'll wait. I'm glad you asked though Honestly x3)

Flint would have been confused when he lost sight of Ice. Then he was tapped. He almost shot off the saddle with how high he jumped. "hey! No fair! You've got two sets of wings!" he pulled back on locks head, and they rose up in a loop, and back down towards where they had enitially been. He blinked and actually missed Venice as she shot in front of them. Lock grunted confusedly, but continued on. "back in a moment. This would be too rough for chip."

Keani smiled and followed, Ice flying directly overhead of Lock. She smiled as Venice and her rider flew overhead, surprised by the colors. "So pretty..." she murmured, and patted Ice's neck, encouraging her to follow the male. "Where are you going?"

Venice skidded to a halt, letting out a mighty roar as she rose her wings and stopped her speed. Within seconds her massive metal wings retracted and snapped back into place. She took the hair pin keys out of the saddle and placed them back into her thick red hair, giggling as she raised her goggles from her eyes.

"I'll just be a moment. My owl is a little scared." he called back. They touched down in the small clearing again, and Flint dismounted himself and the tube, which he hung from a branch. "sit tight, chip." he said, and loosely capped to tube. If she wanted, the owl could escape the tube. But she liked it in there, so she was fine for now. Flint returned to lock and took to the skies once more. "let's try that again, shall we? This time leave all control to your dragon. Do nothing to steer and give no commands."

Keani nodded once. "Alright, let's go..." she said, smirking. Ice took off again and Keani didn't steer, and just to prove her point, she turned in the saddle to face back towards the boy. She winked and didn't even hold on, though she easily stayed on Icewind's back. The dragon new that when she had no hold on the dragon to keep her body level so Keani wouldn't fall off. Keani hardly reacted when Ice picked up even more speed, the dragon getting slightly nervous without Keani's calming hand. She soon started flying to lose Lock and confuse the dragon. Keani just sat primly, her legs folded as if she were bored.

(Roger dat!)

"come on, lock. You gonna let a girl out fly you?" this lit a fire under locks wings, and suddenly he manages to double his speed. "you were holding back? You sly thing, you were letting her win!" lock was suddenly much harder to lose. He had an expression of determination.

Keani smiled as Lock tried harder. A low rumble escaped Icewing and she pushed herself to go faster as well. All of a sudden, she let out wings spread to their full length and catch the wind, rising above Lock and turning to fly the other way before the Nightfury had turned around. She climbed in height, careful to keep Keani on her back, and pushed herself to fly faster, letting the wind aid her in getting away.

Lock was quick to react, though he was caught off guard. He power stroked towards ice, gradually gaining. He managed to find Ice's slipstream.

Ice folded her wings, letting the pair just drop straight down. She unfurled her wings again and managed to get behind Lock. She let out a playful burst of fire, the heat not quite reaching the dragons tail on purpose. She turned and flew away quickly again, folding her wings tight to her body so she'd be faster. Keani held back a scream, knowing the noise would make her seem like she was a little scared, which she was, but she would never admit that to anyone. Her hair flew out of the long braid, but the french braids holding the hair framing her face out of her face for now. The chains in Keani's hair clinked as wind whipped around her.

Flint pat lock in a very precise part of his head. This was a command for 'you have control'. Now all Flint had to do was hang on. Lock flew away from them. He slowed down, too. Like he gave up.

Ice seemed to hesitate slightly before going faster, the confused dragon unsure of whether or not Lock was trying to trick her. Keani just sat there as she was supposed to, not giving Ice any commands. The female dragon growled deep in her throat, not liking the fact that she knew nothing about what was going on anymore. She flew faster, away from Lock, just in case the dragon was tricking her.
